Lafayette celebrated their first win of the season with a 25-12 come-from-behind victory over Moore. Lafayette recorded 18 first downs and 325 yards of total offense. The Generals were penalized seven times for 75 yards and lost three fumbles. Moore recorded 14 first downs and 199 yards of total offense. The Mustangs were penalized 12 times for 112 yards, lost one fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

DJ Walker led Lafayette’s ground game with 89 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries. KJ Jones carried the ball seven times for 28 yards. DJ Walker completed 14 of 21 passes for 178 yards and one touchdown. Kevin Amuri caught four passes for 70 yards. C. Giannone added three receptions for 26 yards. Nemo Jarber recorded two receptions for 58 yards and a touchdown. J. Stephens returned one kickoff for nine yards. Tussey Fisher led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles. Cael Green added five solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 12 yard loss. AJ Nichols recorded five solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards, Dez Hanley chipped in with five solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss. J. Stephens tallied three solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass. DJ Jones added two solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards. Evan Shear recovered a fumble and Nasir Andrews scored on a 25 yard interception return.

Javis Wallace led Moore’s ground game with 55 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries. Mekhi Jones carried the ball four times for 33 yards. Javis Wallace completed nine of 26 passes for 80 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions. Nate Moore caught three passes for 28 yards. Mekhi Jones added two receptions for 22 yards. DaShawn Hill caught a nine yard touchdown pass. Martin Hines returned two kickoffs for 33 yards with a long return of 22 yards. Keyon Johnson led the defense with seven solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Nate Moore added three solo and three assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards. D. Murrell recorded three solo tackles and recovered a fumble. Robert Tilford and Isreal Hoff each recovered a fumble.

Simon Kenton defeated Paul Laurence Dunbar by the score of 43-14. Simon Kenton recorded 16 first downs and 343 yards of total offense. The Pioneers were penalized six times for 75 yards and lost a fumble. Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded 13 first downs and 228 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs were penalized seven times for 75 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Durell Turner led Simon Kenton’s ground game with 146 yards and one touchdown on nine carries. Tysin Weaver carried the ball six times for 47 yards and a touchdown. Riley Gilbert recorded 19 yards on six carries. Brady Lee added 16 yards and two touchdowns on four carries. Brady Lee completed 11 of 15 passes for 120 yards and two touchdowns. Grayson Harris caught six passes for 52 yards. Nathan Kitchens added three receptions for 48 yards and two touchdowns. Landon Brown, Luke Schieber, and Dayne Powell each returned one kickoff for 23, 19, and 18 yards respectively. Aven Bohms led the defense with eight solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Landon Brown added seven solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards and recovered a fumble. Mark Ober recorded five solo and two assisted tackles. Jake Putthoff intercepted a pass he returned 28 yards.

Noe Kayembe led Dunbar’s ground game with 52 yards on 16 carries. Ethan Teall carried the ball four times for eight yards and a touchdown. Steve Estepp completed 17 of 21 passes for 143 yards and one touchdown. Ethan Teall completed five of nine passes for 39 yards with one interception. Harrison Simpson caught seven passes for 88 yards and a touchdown. Trae Berry added five receptions for 36 yards. Ryan Barrett recorded five caught balls for 12 yards. Kotaro Nagano chipped in with one reception for 27 yards. Conner Norsworthy returned five kickoffs for 82 yards with a long return of 26 yards. Faheed Hjazeen and Harrison Simpson each returned one kickoff for 17 and 16 yards respectively. Aiden Davis led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles. Trenton Berry and Amontae Flynn each recorded four solo and one assisted tackles. Logan Pittmon chipped in with two solo and two solo and two assisted tackles and recovered a fumble. Kotaro Nagano added two solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an 11 yard loss.

Scott County utilized their Wing-T ground attack to defeat Collins by the score of 56-26. Scott County recorded 17 first downs and 475 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized 17 times for 157 yards and had a pass intercepted. Collins recorded 19 first downs and 301 yards of total offense. The Titans were penalized seven times for 68 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Timmy Emongo led Scott County’s ground game with 140 yards and two touchdowns on four carries. Ellis Huguely carried the ball five times for 92 yards and a touchdown. Thomas Feickert added 67 yards on five carries. Kanye Garrett recorded 51 yards on six carries. Jacob Fryman chipped in with 23 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries. Andrew Hickey completed three of five passes for 44 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Eli Lilly caught two passes for 19 yards. Ellis Huguely added a 25 yard touchdown reception. Buddy Collins returned two punts for 10 yards with a long return of nine yards and returned two kickoffs for 37 yards with a long return of 20 yards. Timmy Emingo returned one kickoff for 29 yards. Jackson Damron led the defense with five solo and one assisted tackles. Timmy Emongo added two solo and five assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 19 yards for a touchdown. Kade Goodin led Collins ground game with 53 yards on 18 carries. Antwon Delaney carried the ball five times for 29 yards and a touchdown. Kade Goodin completed 17 of 29 passes for 233 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Michael Schramm caught seven passes for 91 yards and two touchdowns. Quinten Wooten added five receptions for 31 yards. L. Huelsman recorded two receptions for 40 yards. Dajari Hardy caught one pass for 47 yards. Quinten Wooten returned six kickoffs for 107 yards with a long return of 26 yards. Ballard defeated Tates Creek by the score of 42-6 tonight. Ballard recorded 16 first downs and 467 yards of total offense. The Bruins were penalized six for 50 yards and had a pass intercepted. Tates Creek recorded 13 first downs and 162 yards of total offense. The Commodores were penalized once for 18 yards.

Journey Wyche led Ballard’s ground game with 190 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries. Damari Edelen carried the ball five times for 111 yards and two touchdowns. Larry Irvin added four yards and a touchdown on five carries. Larry Irvin completed 12 of 19 passes for 161 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Maurice Stephens caught five passes for 61 yards and a touchdown. Daelen Thompson added three receptions for 38 yards. Damari Edelen recorded two receptions for 16 yards. George Givens and Journey Wyche caught one pass each for 30 and 16 yards respectively. Daelen Thompson returned two punts for 56 yards with a long return of 36 yards. Danville came into the game winless but despite turnovers, ejections, and penalties faught valiantly before being overpowered by Knox Central in a 50-40 road defeat. However it took an eye popping 526 yards and six touchdowns by Steve Partin of Knox Central to subdue the Admirals. Knox Central recorded 586 yards while Danville rolled up 425 yards of total offense.

Steve Partin led Knox Central’s ground game with 526 yards and six touchdowns on 39 carries. Mason Griffin carried the ball seven times for 42 yards and a touchdown. Mason Griffin completed three of four passes for five yards. Landen Daughtry caught three passes for five yards. Matt Elkins led the defense with three solo and eight assisted tackles with four of his tackles resulting in losses. Dalton Crawford added two solo and five assisted tackles. Brayden Sizemore recorded one solo and five assisted tackles and Tanner Hinkle intercepted a pass.

Demontae Trumbo led Danville’s ground game with 81 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. Braidin Baughman carried the ball 14 times for 76 yards and two touchdowns. Enrique Gutierrez Jacobs completed 13 of 20 passes for 213 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. Demontae Trumbo caught five passes for 87 yards and three touchdowns. Jayden Tandy added two receptions for 40 yards. Braidin Baughman caught one pass for 38 yards. Tinden Sellers chipped in with four receptions for 34 yards.

Owensboro Catholic defeated Henderson County by the score of 41-21. Owensboro Catholic recorded 498 yards and Henderson County recorded 360 yards of total offense.

Noah Rhinerson led Owensboro Catholic’s ground game with 26 yards and a touchdown on two carries. Brady Atwell completed 26 of 39 passes for 446 yards and five touchdowns with one interception. William “Tutt” Carrico caught nine passes for 179 yards and a touchdown. Noah Rhinerson added seven receptions for 124 yards and two touchdowns. Waryn Ebelhar recorded five receptions for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Mitchell Sims chipped in with four receptions for 32 yards. Vince Carrico led the defense with six solo and 17 assisted tackles. William Carrico added eight solo and seven assisted tackles. Miles Edge recorded three solo and eight assisted tackles. Cameron Woodword added seven solo and two assisted tackles.

Anthony Burris led Henderson County’s ground game with 124 yards on 17 carries. Trajdon Harris added 112 yards on 35 carries. Trajdon Harris completed 12 of 20 passes for 150 yards and three touchdowns. Koien Banks caught three passes for 55 yards. Max Thompson added two receptions for 31 yards and a touchdown. Anthony Burris caught a 29 yard touchdown pass. Mason Bridgeman added a seven yard touchdown reception. Jack Ryan Reusch intercepted a pass.

Madison Southern defeated Henry Clay by the score of 36-6. Madison Southern recorded 17 first downs and 299 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized five times for 100 yards and lost a fumble. Henry Clay recorded 11 first downs and 198 yards of total offense. The Blue Devils were penalized seven times for 65 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Ethan Moore led Madison Southern’s ground game with 125 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Lukas Mullins carried the ball 13 times for 36 yards. Braeden Kelley recorded 35 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Preston Williams carried the ball four times for 28 yards and a touchdown. Ethan Moore completed three of three passes for 72 yards and a touchdown. Brayden Hall caught one pass for 72 yards and a touchdown. Braeden Kelley returned one kickoff for 45 yards. Braeden Kelley led the defense with four solo and five assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards nd intercepted a pass he returned 45 yards for a touchdown. Jaxon Perkins added five solo and one assisted tackles. Ethan Diaz recovered a fumble and Ethan Moore intercepted a pass.

Henry Mackey led Henry Clay’s ground game with 49 yards on 12 carries. Rohan Taylor completed 11 of 18 passes for 157 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions. Walden Cole caught five passes for 102 yards and a touchdown. L. Merriman added one reception for 31 yards. Luke Bailey returned two kickoffs for 64 yards with a long return of 47 yards. Scyler Hersey returned two kickoffs for 29 yards with a long return of 20 yards, L. Merriman returned one kickoff for 22 yards. Walden Cole led the defense with four solo and five assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards. Scyler Hersey added three solo and one assisted tackles. Luke Bailey, Luke Helgerson, and J. Mangwele each recorded three solo tackles. Hudson Cole added two solo tackles and recovered a fumble.

Campbell County got off to a great start tonight leading 22-0 after the first quarter on their way to a 43-22 victory over Newport Central Catholic. The defense set the tone as Garyn Jackson intercepted a pass and ran it back 24 yards for a touchdown seconds into the game to take an early lead and Campbell County’s defense shut the Thoroughbreds offense down on the next two possessions. Campbell County recorded 409 yards of total offense, were penalized nine times for 63 yards, and did not turn the ball over tonight. Newport Central Catholic recorded 272 yards of total offense, were penalized nine times for 87 yards, and had one pass intercepted.

Nathan Smith led Campbell County’s ground game with 119 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries. Carson Evers carried the ball seven times for 58 yards. Landon McNabb recorded 46 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Nathan Smith completed 10 of 17 passes for 137 yards and two touchdowns. Garyn Jackson caught two passes for 66 yards and a touchdown. Xavier Francher caught two passes for 34 yards and a touchdown. Jaiden Combs added four receptions for 28 yards. Aiden Dowds led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles. Jaseph Amato added five solo and two assisted tackles. Kameron Vickers recorded four solo and three assisted tackles. Hunter Wiseman chipped in with three solo and four assisted tackles. Garyn Jackson intercepted a pass he returned 24 yards for a touchdown.

Kolton Smith led Newport Central Catholic’s ground game with 66 yards on 15 carries. Demetrick Welch carried the ball 13 times for 51 yards and two touchdowns. Kolton Smith completed 17 of 24 passes for 155 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Charlie Ford caught six passes for 61 yards. Demetrick Welch added six receptions for 31 yards and a touchdown. Louie Collopy caught two passes for 29 yards. Chris Meyer added one reception for 23 yards.

Covington Catholic was reeling after a first quarter scoring flurry by Beechwood found them trailing 21-0 after the first quarter. Covington Catholic rallied and took a 35-31 lead with less than two minutes left in the game on a one yard run by Andrew Bessler and a conversion kick by Andrew Weitzel. Beechwood had one last possession but Covington Catholic’s Cash Harney made a big defensive stop by knocking the ball loose from a Beechwood receiver on a fourth-and-five play allowing Covington Catholic to hold on for the victory. Covington Catholic recorded 298 yards of total offense, were penalized once for 15 yards and had two passes intercepted. Beechwood recorded 312 yards of total offense, had six penalties for 46 yards, and lost one fumble.

Evan Pitzer led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 91 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries. Owen Leen carried the ball nine times for 77 yards and one touchdown. Andrew Bessler recorded eight yards and a touchdown on three carries. Evan Pitzer completed 11 of 19 passes for 117 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions. Braylon Miller caught four passes for 43 yards and a touchdown. Oliver Link added three receptions for 25 yards. Noah Johnson caught two passes for 24 yards. Tate Kruer caught a 16 yard touchdown pass. Tate Kruer led the defense with seven solo tackles and recovered a fumble. Andrew Bessler added three solo and two assisted tackles. Owen Leen also recorded three solo and two assisted tackles. Mason Edwards chipped in with three solo tackles.

Tyler Fryman led Beechwood’s ground game with 63 yards and two touchdowns on four carries. Luke Erdman carried the ball four times for 20 yards. Payton Schuler recorded nine yards on six carries. Clay Hayden completed 16 of 25 passes for 240 yards and one touchdown. Chase Flaherty caught five passes for 77 yards. Tyler Fryman caught four passes for 67 yards. James Cusick recorded three receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown. Xavier Campbell intercepted a pass he returned for 28 yards and a touchdown. Tyler Fryman also intercepted a pass.

West Jessamine raced outo a 21-0 lead after three quarters and held on for a 21-14 victory over Lafayette who scored 14 points in the final quarter. West Jessamine recorded 16 first downs and 322 yards of total offense. The Colts were penalized eight times for 65 yards and lost a fumble. Lafayette recorded 13 first downs and 198 yards of total offense. The Generals were penalized five times for 40 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Gabriel Smith led West Jessamine’s ground game with 122 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries. Greer Horne carried the ball 13 times for 82 yards and a touchdown. Bragdon Welch recorded 63 yards on nine carries. Gabriel Smith completed six of 13 passes for 50 yards and one touchdown. Connor Mason caught three passes for 34 yards. Eli Nickell added two receptions for nine yards. Greer Horne caught a seven yard touchdown pass. C. Satterwhite and Eli Nickell each returned one kickoff for 20 and 14 yards respectively. Isaac Maynard led the defense with eight solo and three assisted tackleswith two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards and intercepted a pass he returned 16 yards. C. Mac King completed 0ne of eight passes for -1 yards with two interceptions. Kevin Amuri caught four passes for 48 yards and a touchdown. Nasir Andrews carried the ball twice for 23 yards and a touchdown. C. Giannone added one recption for 24 yards. Terraze Taylor returned three kickoffs for 49 yards with a long return of 30 yards. J. Stephens returned one kickoff for 17 yards. Cael Green led the defense with two solo and 10 assisted tackles.
