Covington Catholic defeated Campbell County by the score of 35-7. Covington Catholic recorded 22 first downs and 376 yards of total offense. The Colonels were penalized three times for 25 yards. Campbell County recorded 15 first downs and 222 yards of total offense. The Camels were penalized twice for 20 yards and had three passes intercepted.

Owen Leen led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 41 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Evan Pitzer carried the ball four times for 29 yards. BenMcEvoy recorded 28 yards on two carries. Will Michels chipped in with 21 yards on four carries. Cash Harney carried the ball twice for 16 yards. Evan Pitzer completed 15 of 19 passes for 229 yards and four touchdowns. Braylon Miller caught four passes for 57 yards. Noah Johnson added two receptions for 48 yards and a touchdown. Oliver Link recorded three receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown. Willie Rodriguez added three receptions for 32 yards and a touchdown. Tate Kruer chipped in for one reception for 19 yards and a touchdown. Brady Guard and Cash Harney each returned a kickoff for 11 and 10 yards respectively. Tate Kruer led the defense with seven solo and three assisted tackles. Isaac Mason added five solo and one assisted tackles. Tucker Evans recorded four solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass. Cash Harney added two solo tackles and intercepted two passes.

Kolten Morency led Campbell County’s ground game with 36 yards on four carries. Trevor Bertram carried the ball seven times for 33 yards. Nathan Smith recorded 25 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. Nathan Smith completed 12 of 23 passes for 102 yards with three interceptions. Garyn Jackson caught five passes for 52 yards. Carson Evers added two receptions for 18 yards. Garyn Jackson returned one punt for 18 yards. Carson Clark returned three kickoffs for 40 yards with a long return of 19 yards. Trevor Bertram returned one kickoff for 18 yards. Blake Funston led the defense with two solo and four assisted tackles. Aiden Dowds and Garyn Jackson each recorded one solo and five assisted tackles.

Ashland Blazer scored 14 unanswered points in the final quarter to earn a 49-42 come-from-behind victory over Simon Kenton. The score was tied 35-35 at halftime but the second half was not kind to the visiting Pioneers. Simon Kenton lost Jake Puttoff who plays both on the offensive and defensive line during the game and leading RB Durell Turner was slightly injured and was held out in the second half to rest and recover for the upcoming playoffs. Simon Kenton still took a 42-35 lead late in the third quarter on a 82 yard scoring strike from Brady Lee to Nathan Kitchens. Midway throught the final quarter Ashland tied the score on a 93 yard sprint to the end zone by Atayveon Thomas. The next defensive series for Ashland provided the game winner as Braxton Jennings returned an intercepted pass for 27 yards for what proved to be the winning score. However the drama was not over as Simon Kenton and one last chance as a Simon Kenton receiver appeared to be headed for a sure touchdown but the ball slipped from his hands deep in Tomcat territory and while he recovered the ball Simon Kenton was unable to score the tying touchdown. Ashland recorded 492 yards of total offense while Simon Kenton tallied 607 yards of total offense.

Atayveon Thomas led Ashland’s ground game with 185 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries. Braxton Jennings carried the ball 11 times for 70 yards and three touchdowns. LaBryant Strader recorded 10 yards an da touchdown on two carries. LaBryant Strader completed seven of 15 passes for 228 yards with one interception. Brandon Houston caught four passes for 141 yards. Braxton Jennings added two receptions for 77 yards, Asher Adkins caught one pass for 10 yards. Dylan Duckwyler recorded an interception and Braxton Jennings scored on a 27 yard interception return.

Durell Turner led Simon Kenton’s ground game with 93 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries. Brady Lee carried the ball 14 times for 45 yards and two touchdowns. Brady Lee completed 23 of 34 passes for 448 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions. Carter Blades caught five passes for 126 yards and one touchdown. Nathan Kitchens added four receptions for 122 yards and one touchdown. Tysin Weaver recorded four receptions for 85 yards and a touchdown. Grayson Harris added eight receptions for 88 yards.

Boyle County defeated Frederick Douglass in a dominating performance by the score of 28-7 in a performance that could establish the Rebels as the best in the state regardless of class. Boyle County recorded 24 first downs and 411 yards of total offense. The Rebels were penalized three times for 25 yards and lost a fumble. Frederick Douglass recorded two first downs and 45 yards of total offense. The Broncos were penalized seven times for 31 yards.

Avery Bodner led Boyle County’s ground game with 140 yards and two touchdowns on 31 carries. Montavin Quisenberry carried the ball11 times for 95 yards and a touchdown. Sage Dawson carried the ball eight times for 26 yards. Sage Dawson completed 15 of 20 passes for 147 yards and one touchdown. Montavin Quisenberry caught seven passes for 59 yards and a touchdown. Geordon Brown added three receptions for 44 yards. Avery Bodner recorded three receptions for 28 yards. Montavin Quisenberry returned one punt for 31 yards and returned one kickoff for 33 yards. Jaysia Richards led the defense with three solo and two assisted tackles. Jayce Crowe added three solo and one assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards. Cole Stonionis recorded two solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards. Bryce Bullock chipped in with two solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss.

Kenoxie Allen led Frederick Douglass’ ground game with six yards on five carries. Jaxon Strautman completed six of 12 passes for 35 yards and one touchdown. Cooper Ranvier caught four passes for 33 yards and a touchdown. Jeremiah Lowe returned one punt for 19 yards and Demarcus Surratt returned one kickoff for 11 yards. Cooper Ranvier punted seven times for a 45.7 average with a long punt of 73 yards with two punts inside the 20 yard line. JaQuan Rufus led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards and recovered a fumble. Kaden Clay added five solo and three assisted tackles. Darion Neal recorded four solo and five assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss. EJ Clinkscale chipped in with five solo and two assisted tackles.

Andrew Witherington ran for two touchdowns and passes for three touchdowns to lead Tates Creek to a 42-0 shutout victory over West Jessamine. Tates Creek recorded 16 first downs and 435 yards of total offense. The Commodores were penalized eight times for 94 yards, lost s fumble, and had two passes intercepted. West Jessamine recorded 10 first downs and 181 yards of total offense. The Colts were penalized five times for 32 yards. Lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Marquevion Smith led Tates Creek’s ground game with 71 yards and a touchdown on ten carries. Andrew Witherington carried the ball seven times for 65 yards and two touchdowns. Tony Bell recorded 34 yards on two carries. Andrew Witherington completed 14 of 22 passes for 265 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions. Luke Cooper caught four passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns. Marquevion Smith caught four passes for 43 yards. Senator Clay added three receptions for 31 yards. JT Cooper recorded two receptions for 53 yards and a touchdown. Marquevion Smith returned three punts for 64 yards with a long return of 29 yards. Logan Julian led the defense with five solo and seven assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards. Thomas Seigler added three solo and three assisted tackles. Stephan Jones intercepted a pass he returned for 38 yards.

Bragdon Welch led West Jessamine’s ground game with 94 yards on 27 carries. Cooper Swaim completed five of 12 passes for 45 yards with one interception. Bragdon Welch caught two passes for 19 yards. Cooper Wiley caught one pass for 19 yards. Eli Nickell returned three kickoffs for 42 yards with a long return of 17 yards. Jackson Pierce led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a seven yard loss. Isaac Maynard added four solo and one assisted tackles. Eli Nickell intercepted a pass he returned for 15 yards. Matthew Wilson intercepted a pass he returned 20 yards.

Scott County scored on a three yard run by Andrew Hickey with 6:27 left in the game to pull within 1; 21-20 but failed on the attempt to go for a two [point conversion. Lexington Catholic recorded 18 first downs and 267 yards of total offense. The Knights were penalized seven times for 66 yards. Scott County recorded 20 first downs and 332 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized seven times for 78 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Sam Clements led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 51 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Jackson Wasik carried the ball 10 times for 34 yards. Alex Rayyan recorded 31 yards on six carries. Jackson Wasik completed 14 of 20 passes for 136 yards and one touchdown. Jackson Kreutzer caught six passes for 76 yards and a touchdown. Tanner Pedroche added four receptions for 19 yards. Matthew Kern recorded two receptions for 22 yards. Jackson Wasik punted three times for a 40.7 average with a long punt of 52 yards and two inside the 20 yard line. Southwestern dominated play tonight in a 45-8 victory over Henry Clay. Southwestern recorded 19 first downs and 405 yards of total offense. The Warriors were penalized seven times for 60 yards and lost three fumbles. Henry Clay recorded seven first downs and 71 yards of total offense. The Blue Devils were penalized twice for 10 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Christian Walden led Southwestern’s ground game with 122 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries. Caden Cunnigan carried the ball four times for 47 yards. Braxton Walters recorded 33 yards on four carries. Logan Haynes chipped in with 23 yards and a touchdown on three carries. Owen Campbell carried the ball three times for 15 yards. Owen Campbell completed 10 of 12 passes for 159 yards and three touchdowns. Kaden Hewitt caught three passes for 66 yards. Caden Cunnagin added two receptions for 46 yards and two touchdowns. Zachary Hutchinson recorded two receptions for 30 yards and a touchdown. Christian Walden retyurned three kickoffs for 47 yards with a long return of 29 yards. Kolton Goff led the defense with three solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards. Bradlee Baker also recorded three solo and three assisted tackles. Braxton Walters chipped in with four solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss. Deven Leclercq added three solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards. Logan Haynes recovered a fumble and Collin Hibbard intercepted a pass he returned 11 yards.

Walden Cole led Henry Clay’s ground game with 27 yards on nine carries. Henry Mackey carried the ball nine times for 22 yards. Luke Bailey chipped in with 14 yards on three carries. Rohan Taylor completed five of eight passes for 38 yards. Walden Cole completed one of five passes for three yards and one touchdown with one interception. Walden Cole caught three passes for 23 yards. Luke DiNardo added two receptions for 21 yards and a touchdown. Scyler Hersey returned three kickoffs for 43 yards with a long return of 18 yards. Antoine Webb returned one kickoff for 25 yards. Luke Bailey returned two kickoffs for 25 yards with a long return of 18 yards. Walden Cole led the defense with three solo and five assisted tackles. Zac Hoellein added three solo and two assisted tackles. Henry Mackey recorded three solo and one assisted tackles. Aly Gueye and Jeannoe Mangwele each recorded a fumble recovery.

Bryan Station raced out to a 28-0 first quarter lead on their way to a 48-8 victory over Central Hardin. Bryan Station recorded 14 first downs and 436 yards of total offense. The Defenders were penalized seven times for 100 yards. Central Hardin recorded 11 first downs and 164 yards of total offense. They were penalized three times for 32 yards.

Trenton Cutwright led Bryan Station’s ground game with 128 yards and a touchdown on seven carries. Avery Johnson carried the ball once for 92 yards and a touchdown. Kalen Washington recorded 74 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. Bayubahe Benit chipped in with 34 yards and a touchdown on four carries. Taendre Clark added a 21 yard touchdown run. Trenton Cutwright completed five of 15 passes for 86 yards and one touchdown. JT Haskins Jr. caught two passes for 47 yards and a touchdown. Javari Burnett returned one kickoff for 70 yards and a touchdown. Jahvon Frazier led the defense with two solo and six assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards. Mason Decker and Isaiah Watts each recorded three solo and one assisted tackles. Dahvon Frazier also recorded three solo and one assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards. Jaiden Shegog added three solo tackles.

Gage Gergely led Central Hardin’s ground game with 58 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. Mason Gardner carried the ball 18 times for 57 yards. Zakery Spurrier completed two of eight passes for 36 yards. McKay Payton caught one pass for 27 yards. Walker Meredith returned three kickoffs for 54 yards with a long return of 24 yards. Mason Gardner returned one kickoff for 20 yards. Noah Payton led the defense with two solo and three assisted tackles. Tucker Walters and Cordale Matthews each recorded three solo tackles.

Raceland recorded 16 first downs and 337 yards of total offense. The Rams were penalized twice for 12 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Brady Hensley led LCA’s ground game with 265 yards and five touchdowns on 13 carries. BJ Evans carried the ball seven times for 57 yards and a touchdown. Cutter Boley completed 17 of 24 passes for 126 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Parker Chaney caught six passes for 42 yards. Nate Barnhardt added four receptions for 36 yards and a touchdown. Saxton Howard recorded four receptions for 28 yards. Anderson Mitchell chipped in with three catches for 20 yards. Saxton Howard and Tyler King each returned one kickoff for 24 nad 18 yards respectively. Isaac Collins kicked off eight times for a 55.6 average with four touch backs. Eastern recorded 28 first downs and 525 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized 13 times for 133 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted. Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded 22 first downs and 335 yards oftotal offense. The Bulldogs were penalized 12 times for 145 yards, lost one fumble, and had three passes intercepted.

Cooper overcame three turnovers to defeat Dixie Heights by the score of 21-14. The winning touchdown came midway throught the final quarter on an eight yard touchdown pass from Cam O’Hara to Isaiah Johnson who was closely defended but won the battle for the ball in the endzone. Cooper recorded 367 yards of total offense but had three turnovers. Dixie Heights recorded 248 yards of total offense and had two turnovers.

Keagan Maher led Cooper’s ground game with 160 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries. Cam O’Hara completed 14 of 22 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Isaiah Johnson caught six passes for 71 yards and two touchdowns. Austin Alexander added two receptions for 48 yards. Keagan Maher recorded three receptions for 47 yards. Malachi Ewell chipped in with three receptions for 46 yards. Jack Lonaker led the defense with five solo and six assisted tackles. Mason Stanton added three solo and four assisted tackles. Austin Alexander recorded five solo and one assisted tackles and recorded five sacks. Lucas Hughes chipped in with three solo and two assisted tackles. Austin Perriman and Isaac Brown each intercepted a pass.

Armani Gregg led Dixie Heights’ ground game with 73 yards on 12 carries. David Anderson carried the ball eight times for 22 yards. Armani Gregg completed 13 of 28 passes for 153 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions. Tyson Beach caught four passes for 91 yards and a touchdown. David Anderson added three receptions for 34 yards. Grant Johnson caught a six yard touchdown reception. Brach Rice led the defense with eight solo and four assisted tackles.
