Henry Clay coach Ashley Garrard started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Lydia Van Metre, 5-8 Sr. Emily Johnson, 5-10 Sr. Elizabeth Nelson, 5-3 Jr. Ariyanna Sutton, and 5-6 Sr. Timarri Miller. Frederick Douglass coach Daryl Maoberly countered with 5-10 Fr. Jaylee Knowles, 5-9 Jr. Amayah Maxwell, 6-2 Sr. Ayanna-Sarai Darrington, 5-1 So. Mikalee Bennett, and 5-4 Jr. Kate Baker.

Henry Clay rallied from a 35-26 halftime deficit to defeat Frederick Douglass by the score of 71-65. The Lady Blue Devils made some free throws down the stretch and captured a couple of offensive rebounds off missed free throws to ensure the victory. Frederick Douglass’ Ayanna-Sarai Darrington was hampered by foul problems tonight and logged only 12:03 before fouling out. The score was tied four times and there were three lead changes in this game. Henry Clay shot 41.4% from the field including seven of 21 from the three point line. The Lady Blue Devils connected on 16 of 28 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 23 Frederick Douglass turnovers. Frederick Douglass shot 53.2% from the field including four of 14 from beyond the arc. The Lady Broncos connected on 11 of 17 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 15 Henry Clay turnovers.

Ariyanna Sutton led Henry Clay with 17 points, five rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots, and four steals. 5-9 Sr. Allison Stone added 17 points including six of seven free throws, five rebounds, and two assists. Timarri Miller recorded 15 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals. 5-5 7th Grade Tamia Waide chipped in with 12 points including two three point baskets and six rebounds.

Jaylee Knowles led Frederick Douglass with 22 points including six of eight free throws, six rebounds, and two assists. 5-7 Jr. Niah Rhodes added 17 points including three three point baskets, and two assists. Mikalee Bennett recorded 11 points and two rebounds. Amayah Maxwell chipped in with seven points and three rebounds. Ayanna-Sarai Darrington recorded six points and five rebounds.

Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown countered with 6-4 So. Jackson Stephan, 6-2 Sr. Isaiah Stephan, 6-5Jr. Hassan Bush, 6-1 Jr. AJ Dixon, and 6-0 Jr. Kayson Brown.

Henry Clay trailed 34-28 at halftime but rallied to defeat North Laurel by the score of 64-62. There were two lead changes and three ties in the game. Henry Clay shot 44.2% from the field including seven of 24 from the three point line. The Blue Devils connected on 11 of 11 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored two points off five North Laurel turnovers. North Laurel shot 42.9% from the field including 12 of 31 from beyond the arc. The Jaguars connected on eight of 10 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored eight points off six Henry Clay turnovers.

Hassan Bush led Henry Clay with 19 points on eight of nine from the field and three of three free throws, nine rebounds, and three assists. Kayson Brown added 17 points including three three point baskets, four of four free throws, five rebounds, and six assists. Isaiah Stephan recorded 11 points including three three point baskets and three rebounds. AJ Dixon chipped in with nine points, five rebounds, and four assists.

Reece Davidson led North Laurel with 19 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Brody Brock added 12 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and three assists. Jordan Rawlings recorded 11 points including three three point baskets and two rebounds. 5-10 Jr. Kole Jervis chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets.

Sacred Heart Academy defeated Assumption by the score of 70-50. Sacred Heart Academy shot 43.5% from the field including seven of 20 from the three point line. The Valkyries connected on nine of 16 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 29 points off 21 Assumption turnovers. Assumption shot 41.5% from the field including three of nine from beyond the arc. The Lady Rockets connected on 13 of 15 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 14 Sacred Heart turnovers.

Angelina Pelayo led Sacred Heart with 20 points, seven rebounds, three blocked shots, and five steals. ZaKiyah Johnson added 18 points including three three point baskets, 11 rebounds, three assists, and four steals. Danville trailed 34-28 at halftime but outscored Lafayette 23-7 in the third quarter on their way to a 63-59 victory. Danville shot 34.9% from the field including two of 22 from the three point line. The Lady Admirals connected on 17 of 28 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 32 points off 29 Lafayette turnovers. Lafayette shot 42.3% from the field including five of 18 from beyond the arc. The Lady Generals connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored nine points off eight Danville tirnovers.

Myla Turner led Danville with 26 points including nine of 14 free throws, seven rebounds, and two steals. The score was tied 29-29 at halftime but Covington Catholic outscored Newport 23-15 in the third quarter on their way to a 73-63 victory. The score was tied four times and there were six lead changes in the game. Covington Catholic shot 60.4% from the field including eight of 15 from the three point line. The Colonels connected on seven of 10 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 10 points off five Newport turnovers. Newport shot 39.3% from the field including seven of 22 from beyond the arc. Montgomery County shot 37% from the field including four of 13 from beyond the arc. Mason County raced out to a 23-11 first quarter lead on their way to a 73-56 victory over Lexington Christian Academy. Mason County shot 50% from the field including eight of 22 from the three point line. The Royals connected on 15 of 18 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 15 Lexington Christian Academy turnovers. LCA shot 34.4% from the field including four of 24 from beyond the arc. The Eagles connected on eight of 16 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 13 Mason County turnovers.

Blake Reed led Mason County with 23 points including five three point baskets, four of four free throws, and six rebounds. Bryan Station coach Champ Ligon Jr. started the following lineup: 6-5 So. Taeshawn Adams, 6-1 So. Amari Owens, 6-7 Jr. Felix Gonzalez, 5-10 Sr. Bryson Carpenter, and 5-11 Jr. Justin Richmond. Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. countered with 6-3 Jr. Cody Morrison, 6-3 Sr. Eli Steele, 6-6 Sr. Tye Thomas, 5-10 Sr. Jacob Landsaw, and 6-1 Jr. Landon Ray.

Bryan Station outscored Madison Central 20-4 in the second quarter on their way to a 56-41 victory. The score was tied twice and there were four lead changes in the game. Bryan Station shot 46.7% from the field including three of 11 from the three point line. The Defenders connected on 11 of 16 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 18 Madison Central turnovers. Madison Central shot 35.6% from the field including four of 17 from beyond the arc. The Indians connected on five of five free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 13 Bryan Station turnovers.

Amari Owens led Bryan Station with 17 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Owens used his quickness and strength to get to the rim at will. 5-11 Jr. Rashaad Faulkner added 10 points including two three point baskets and three steals. Felix Gonzalez recorded eight points, 10 rebounds, and four blocked shots. 6-4 Sr. Daeveon Adams chipped in with five points, four rebounds, and two steals. 6-3 Sr. Matthew Golinski added fiove points, three rebounds, and three steals.

Cody Morrison led Madison Central with 18 points including two three point baskets. Tye Thomas added 13 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, and two steals. Landon Ray recorded 10 points including two three point baskets.
