Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 6-0 Jr. ZaKiyah Johnson, 5-8 Sr. Claire Russell, 6-3 Sr. Angelina Palayo, 5-3 Fr. Amirah “Tootie” Jordan, and 5-10 Sr. Reagan Bender.

Sacred Heart Academy pulled away in the second half to defeat Pikeville by the score of 68-50. Sacred Heart Academy shot 48.1% from the field including six of 15 from the three point line. The Valkyries connected on 10 of 14 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 14 Pikeville turnovers. Pikeville shot 40.9% from the field including six of 19 from beyond the arc. The Lady Panthers connected on eight of 14 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored five points off 11 Sacred Heart turnovers.

ZaKiyah Johnson led Sacred Heart Academy with 20 points including four three point baskets, four rebounds, and five assists. Angelina Pelayo added 19 points, five rebounds, and two assists. Reagan Bender recorded 10 points, six rebounds, and three assists. Amirah “Tootie” Jordan chipped in with nine points, two assists, and two steals. Claire Russell recorded six points, eight rebounds, and three assists.

Trinity Rowe led Pikeville with 13 points including three three point baskets and three assists. Kyera Thornsbury added 12 points and three rebounds. Kristen Whited recorded 10 points, two rebounds, and three assists. Rylee Theiss chipped in with eight points and four rebounds.

Simon Kenton shot 33.3% from the field including eight of 22 from beyond the arc. The Lady Pioneers connected on two of seven free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 13 Sacred Heart Academy turnovers.

ZaKiyah Johnson led Sacred Heart Academy with 20 points including six three point baskets, eight rebounds, and two assists. Reagan Bender added 11 points, four rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Great Crossing defeated Ashland Blazer by the score of 72-59. There were five lead changes and four ties in this game. Great Crossing shot 68.2% from the field including 10 of 15 from the three point line. The Warhawks connected on two of six free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored nine points off five Ashland Blazer turnovers. Ashland Blazer shot 46.5% from the field including nine of 23 from beyond the arc. The Tomcats connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 13 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 14 Great Crossing turnovers.

Frederick Douglass coach Stephon Harris countered with 6-3 Jr. Aveion Chenault, 6-2 Jr. Logan Busson, 6-4 So. DeMarcus Surratt, 6-0 Sr. Jake Mitchell, and 6-1 Sr. Noah Jones.

Frederick Douglass eked out a 58-56 come-from-behind victory over Lafayette. Lafayette led 36-25 in the third quarter but Frederick Douglass rallied for the victory. There were two lead changes and three ties in this game. Frederick Douglass shot 41.1% from the field including six of 20 from the three point line. The Broncos connected on six of 18 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 16 Lafayette turnovers. Lafayette shot 48.8% from the field including seven of 17 from beyond the arc. The Generals connected on seven of 10 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored seven points off seven Frederick Douglass turnovers.

Aveion Chenault led Frederick Douglass with 15 points, eight rebounds, and two assists. DeMarcus Surratt added 11 points, seven rebounds, three assists, two blocked shots, and five steals. Madison Southern trailed 25-13 after the first quarter but rallied to earn a 67-56 victory over Scott County. Madison Southern shot 57.5% from the field including two of 11 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on 19 of 22 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored five points off three Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 35.1% from the field including six of 26 from beyond the arc. Frankfort coach Maurice Garrard countered with 5-10 Jr. Kendall Cook, 5-9 8th Grade Taylin Wade, 5-10 Sr. Alizay Peyton, 5-2 Sr. Charlotte Barnett, and 5-5 Jr. Charlianne Robinson.

Scott County defeated Frankfort 62-56 in a game that was characterized by scoring runs by both teams. Frankfort led 20-8 after the first quarter but Scott County outscored the Lady Panthers 20-7 in the second quarter to lead 28-27 at halftime. Frankfort led 45-44 after three quarters but Scott County rallied in the final quarter for the victory. There were five lead changes in this game. Scott County shot 45.8% from the field including six of 19 from the three point line. The Lady Cardinals connected on 12 of 15 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 16 Frankfort turnovers. Frankfort shot 33.3% from the field including five of 20 from beyond the arc. The Lady Panthers connected on 17 of 23 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 23 Scott County turnovers.

Allison Mosby led Scott County with 21 points including three three point baskets and three rebounds. Maleiyah Moore added 13 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Whitefield Academy coach Glen Wathen started the following lineup: 5-8 Jr. Holly Gilliam, 5-7 Sr. Sara Ritter, 5-8 Jr. Noel Smith, 5-7 Sr. Allison Spieker, and 5-8 Jr. Gwynnie Franz. Henry Clay coach Ashley Garrard countered with 5-9 Sr. Allison Stone, 5-8 Sr. Lydia Van Metre. 5-10 Sr. Elizabeth Nelson, 5-5 Sr. Ava Grace Melloan, and 5-6 Sr. Timarri Miller.

The score was tied 23-23 at halftime but Henry Clay pulled away after the intermission for a 50-41 victory over Whitefield Academy. There were four lead changes and five ties in this game. Henry Clay shot 47.5% from the field including seven of 17 from the three point line. The Lady Blue Devils connected on five of nine free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 14 Whitefield Academy turnovers. Whitefield Academy shot 40% from the field including seven of 22 from beyond the arc. The Lady Wildcats connected on two of six free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 16 Henry Clay turnovers.

Allison Stone led Henry Clay with 15 points including three three point baskets, 12 rebounds, and four assists. Timarri Miller added 11 points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Lydia Van Metre recorded 11 points including three three point baskets, three rebounds, and two assists.

Allison Spieker led Whitefield Academy with 19 points including five three point baskets, three rebounds, and four steals. Gwynnie Franz added nine points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and three assists. Sara Ritter recorded six points, four rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Noel Smith chipped in with five points, five rebounds, and four steals.
