Lafayette coach Vince Sanford started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Drew Biddle, 6-1 So. Cooper Kirk, 6-7 Jr. Tyler Hunt, 5-8 Jr. Clay Noble, and 6-0 Sr. Eli Thomas. Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus countered with 6-7 Jr. Jake Feldhaus, 6-3 Sr. Cody Morrison, 6-5 Jr. Luke Asher, 5-9 Jr. Cam Steele, and 6-0 Jr. Will Richardson.
Madison Central led 33-25 at halftime but outscored Lafayette 34-18 in the third quarter on their way to an 88 – 49 victory. Madison Central shot 53.3% from the field including nine of 25 from beyond the arc. The Indians connected on 15 of 24 free throws, pulled down 48 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 12 Lafayette turnovers. Lafayette shot 32.8% from the field including two of 17 from beyond the arc. The Generals connected on nine of 11 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored eight points off 11 Madison Central turnovers.
Luke Asher led Madison Central with 31 points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Jake Feldhaus added 21 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots. Jr. Christian Lawson recorded six points and eight rebounds.
Eli Thomas led Lafayette with 15 points. Drew Biddle added seven points and two rebounds. Tyler Hunt recorded six points, four rebounds, and two blocked shots. So. Ben Marsh chipped in with five points, eight rebounds, and two steals.
