Frederick Douglass coach Daryl Moberly started the following lineup: 5-8 8^th Grade Tamia Waide, 5-5 Jr. Reagan Gregonis, 5-10 So. Jaelee Knowles, 5-4 Sr. Kate Baker, and 5-6 Jr. Mikalee Bennett. Franklin County coach Joey Thacker countered with 5-9 Sr. Madison Jackson, 5-8 Jr. Logan Kennedy, 6-1 Sr. Juliana Frazee, 5-4 So. Ma’Kiyia Wheeler, and 5-5 Sr, Charlize Kennedy.

Logan Kennedy hit a shot at the buzzer to give Franklin County a 51-49 victory in a hotly contested game over Frederick Douglass in an early season battle between 11^th Region powers. There were six ties and 11 lead changes in this game. Franklin County shot 35.8% from the field including four of 12 from the three point line. The Lady Flyers connected on nine of 19 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored nine points off 13 Frederick Douglass turnovers. Frederick Douglass shot 31.9% from the field including six of 19 from beyond the arc. The Lady Broncos connected on 13 of 21 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 17 Franklin County turnovers.

Madison Jackson led Franklin County with 15 points including two three point baskets and five rebounds. Juliana Frazee added 10 points, nine rebounds, and two assists. 5-10 7^th Grade Jylin Edmondson recorded nine points and two rebounds. Logan Kennedy chipped in with four points and eight rebounds. Ma’Kiyia Wheeler recorded four points, six rebounds, and six assists. 6-1 Sr. Keyonna Taylor added four points and 10 rebounds.

Jaelee Knowles led Frederick Douglass with 18 points, 12 rebounds, and six blocked shots. Tamia Waide added 11 points, two rebounds, and four steals. Kate Baker recorded nine points on three three point baskets and five rebounds. Mikalee Bennett chipped in with four points, five rebounds, and four assists.

Madison Central led Lexington Christian Academy 26-20 at halftime and pulled away in the final half to defeat the Lady Eagles by the score of 56-36. Madison Central shot 46.7% from the field including five of 13 from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on nine of 12 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 14 Lexington Christian Academy turnovers. Lexington Christian Academy shot 27.3% from the field including seven of 28 from beyond the arc. The Lady Eagles connected on five of nine free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored eight points off 11 Madison Central turnovers.

Nataya Strader led Madison Central with 19 points including three three point baskets, nine rebounds, and five steals. Cameryn Ridderikhoff added 12 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Jordynn Miles and 5-6 Sr. Tiana Long each scored eight points. Brittany Campbell recorded seven points, eight rebounds, and four assists.

Chapel Brown led Lexington Christian Academy with 16 points including four three point baskets and three rebounds. Claire Roberts added 10 points including three three point baskets and three rebounds. Piper Graham recorded seven points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Boyle County defeated Pendleton County by the score of 49-39. Boyle County shot 44,2% from the field including six of 13 from the three point line. The Lady Rebels connected on five of 14 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 26 Pendleton County rebounds. Pendleton County shot 34.1% from the field including six of 23 from beyond the arc. The Lady Cats connected on three of three free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 23 Boyle County turnovers.

Addison Yates led Boyle County with 19 points including five three point baskets, two rebounds, and three assists. Kensley Leffew added 13 points and eight rebounds. Maggie Burke recorded five points, six rebounds, eight assists, and six steals. Caroline Lemonds and Hadley Russell each scored six points.

Estill County coach Jon Mahanes countered with Jr. Callie Snowden, 5-6 Jr. Ava Hale, 5-5 Jr. Kadara Skinner, 5-4 Sr. Brooklyn Ferrell, and 5-6 Sr. Jayci Long.

Hazard rallied from a 29-22 halftime deficit, buoyed by a 26-6 run in the third quarter defeated Estill County by the score of 61-44. Hazard shot 42.5% from the field including seven of 17 from the three point line. The Lady Bulldogs connected on 20 of 30 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 12 Estill County turnovers. Estill County shot 27.5% from the field including five of 22 from beyond the arc. The Lady Engineers connected on 11 of 19 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 16 Hazard turnovers.

Madi Frohnapfel led Hazard with 26 points including four three point baskets, eight of 11 free throws, sven rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Braylynn Eddington added 15 points and 14 rebounds. Laura Everidge recorded 11 points including eight of 14 free throws, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Lafayette took control of the game in the second quarter by outscoring Nicholas County 20-5 0n their way to a 60-44 victory. Lafayette shot 45% from the field including three of 15 from the three point line. The Lady Generals connected on three of eight free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 19 Nicholas County trurnovers. Nicholas County shot 42.5% from the field including three of nine from beyond the arc. The Lady Jackets connected on seven of eight free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored four points off nine Lafayette turnovers.

Tess Nelson led Lafayette with 24 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and three assists. Belle Combs added 17 points, 14 rebounds, and five blocked shots. Anna Clay Denton chipped in with four points, three rebounds, eight assists, and three steals.

The Defenders connected on five of 11 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 22 Madison Central turnovers. Madison Central shot 47.8% from the field including 10 of 20 from beyond the arc. The Indians connected on nine of 20 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored three points off three Bryan Station turnovers.

Amari Owens led Bryan Station with 30 points, five rebounds, five assists, and four steals. Rashaad Faulkner added 16 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, two assists, and four steals. Taeshawn Adams recorded 13 points and four rebounds. Justin Richmond chipped in with nine points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Madison Central eked out a 54-49 victory over Montgomery County in a thriller on the road. The score was tied five times and there were nine lead changes in the game. Madison Central shot 40.8% from the field including two of nine from the three point line. The Indians connected on 12 of 15 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 17 Montgomery County turnovers. Montgomery County shot 39.6% from the field including seven of 21 from beyond the arc. The Indians connected on four of nine free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored seven points off five Madison Central turnovers.

Cameryn Ridderikhoff led Madison Central with 24 points including eight of nine from the free throw line. Nataya Strader added 12 points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Jordynn Miles recorded 10 points and four rebounds.
