East Jessamine coach Jon Bentlry started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Carson Kehrt, 6-3 Fr, Tyson Duke, 6-3 Sr. Corbyn Smith, 5-10 Sr. Miyo James, and 6-2 Sr. Keelyn Daniel. Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown countered with 6-5 Jr. Jackson Stephan, 6-3 Sr. AJ Dixon, 6-5 Sr. Hassan Bush, 6-0 Sr. Kayson Brown, and 6-3 Sr. Kade Hilander.

Henry Clay raced out to a 30-9 first quarter lead on their way to a 90-60 victory over Easy Jessamine. Henry Clay shot 45.7% from the field including 10 of 29 from the three point line. The Blue Devils connected on 16 of 19 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 34 points off 30 East Jessamine turnovers. East Jessamine shot 46% from the field including three of 12 from beyond the arc. The Jaguars connected on 11 of 14 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 13 Henry Clay turnovers.

Kayson Brown led a balanced Henry Clay scoring attack with 19 points including five three point baskets, four of four free throws, two rebounds, three assists, and four steals. Jackson Stephan added 15 points, four rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Hassan Bush recorded 14 points, seven rebounds, and two steals. AJ Dixon added 14 points including three three point baskets, seven rebounds, and two steals. 5-10 Sr. Trevor Adams chipped in with 10 points, three rebounds, and two assists.

Keelyn Daniel led East Jessamine with 12 points and four rebounds. Miyo James added 12 points. Tyson Duke recorded eight points including two three point baskets.

Madison Central coach Scott True countered with 5-7 Sr. Brooke Campbell, 5-5 Jr. Jordynn Miles, 5-9 Sr. Cameryn Ridderikhoff, 5-7 Sr, Brittany Campbell, and 5-6 Sr. Nataya Strader.

Madison Central defeated an injury plagued Madison Southern squad by the score of 63-35. Madison Central shot 59.5% from the field including three of seven from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on 16 of 23 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 21 Madison Southern turnovers. Madison Southern shot 35.3% from the field including five of 15 from beyond the arc. The Lady Eagles connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down 15 rebounds, and scored two points off 15 Madison Central turnovers.

Nataya Strader led Madison Central with 21 points including six of eight free throws, four rebounds, and six steals. Cameryn Ridderikhoff added 10 points, three rebounds, and two steals. Brittany Campbell recorded nine points, seven rebounds, two assists, and three steals. Jordynn Miles chipped in with seven points, two rebounds, and two steals. 5-6 Sr. Tiana Long added eight points on four of four from the field and two rebounds. 5-4 Jr. Skylar Collinsworth recorded six points on two three point baskets and three rebounds.

5-9 Jr. Laci Sandlin led Madison Southern with 17 points including two three point baskets and two steals. Emma Kate Lawson added five points and two rebounds.

Lafayette coach Allison Tates Denton countered with 5-10 Sr. Tess Nelson, 5-6 So. Skylar Davis, 5-10 Sr. Belle Combs, 5-6 Jr. Anna Clay Denton, and 5-5 Sr. Abbey Popham.


Lafayette took advantage of 22 Tates Creek turnovers in a 53-33 victory over the Lady Commodores. Lafayette shot 44.9% from the field including five of 14 from the three point line. The Lady Generals connected on four of nine free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 22 Tates Creek turnovers. Tates Creek shot 36.4% from the field including three of 12 from beyond the arc. The Lady Commodores connected on six of eight free throes, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored  six points off 12 Lafayette turnovers.


Abbey Popham led Lafayette with 18 points including four three point baskets, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals, Belle Combs added 12 points, three rebounds, and two steals. Tess Nelson recorded seven points, three rebounds, and three assists. 5-8 So. Addison Combs chipped in with five points, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots. Anna Clay Denton recorded two points, five rebounds, fopur assists, and three steals.


Koko Castle led Tates Creek with 13 points including two three point baskets and three rebounds. 5-6 Jr. Jazlene Potter added eight points and two rebounds. Miracle Morbley recorded three points, seven rebounds, and three assists.

Lexington Christian Academy shot 34.6% from the field including five of 18 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on 11 of 22 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored nine points off 14 Paul Laurence Dunbar turnovers. Paul Laurence Dunbar shot 27.1% from the field including four of 25 from beyond the arc. St. Xavier shot the ball extremely well today in a 72-58 victory over Great Crossing. There were six lead changes and five ties in this game. St. Xavier shot 52.9% from the field including 10 of 25 from the three point line. The Tigers connected on eight of eight free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 16 points off eight Great Crossing turnovers. Great Crossing shot 33.3% from the field including three of 21 from beyond the arc. The Warhawks connected on nine of 15 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 11 points off nine St. Xavier turnovers.

Graham Krezmien led St. Xavier with 19 points including five three point baskets and six rebounds. 6-1 Fr. Josh Lindsay added 13 points including three three point baskets and four rebounds. Franklin County coach Joey Thacker countered with 5-9 Sr. Madison Jackson, 5-8 Jr. Logan Kennedy, 6-1 Sr. Juliana Frazee, 5-4 So. Ma’Kiyia Wheeler, and 5-5 Sr, Charlize Kennedy.

Logan Kennedy hit a shot at the buzzer to give Franklin County a 51-49 victory in a hotly contested game over Frederick Douglass in an early season battle between 11th Region powers. There were six ties and 11 lead changes in this game. Franklin County shot 35.8% from the field including four of 12 from the three point line. The Lady Flyers connected on nine of 19 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored nine points off 13 Frederick Douglass turnovers. Frederick Douglass shot 31.9% from the field including six of 19 from beyond the arc. The Lady Broncos connected on 13 of 21 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 17 Franklin County turnovers.

Madison Jackson led Franklin County with 15 points including two three point baskets and five rebounds. Juliana Frazee added 10 points, nine rebounds, and two assists. 5-10 7th Grade Jylin Edmondson recorded nine points and two rebounds. Logan Kennedy chipped in with four points and eight rebounds. Ma’Kiyia Wheeler recorded four points, six rebounds, and six assists. 6-1 Sr. Keyonna Taylor added four points and 10 rebounds.

Lexington Christian Academy coach Tim Bradshaw started the following lineup: 5-7 Sr. Claire Roberts, 5-6 Jr. Jentry Bertram, 5-9 Sr. Sophie Pridemore, 5-6 Jr. Piper Graham, and 5-6 Sr. Chapel Brown. Madison Central coach Scott True countered with 5-7 Sr. Brooke Campbell, 5-5 Jr. Jordynn Miles. 5-9 Sr. Cameryn Ridderikhoff, 5-7 Sr. Brittany Campbell, and 5-6 Sr. Nataya Strader.

Madison Central led Lexington Christian Academy 26-20 at halftime and pulled away in the final half to defeat the Lady Eagles by the score of 56-36. Madison Central shot 46.7% from the field including five of 13 from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on nine of 12 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 14 Lexington Christian Academy turnovers. Lexington Christian Academy shot 27.3% from the field including seven of 28 from beyond the arc. The Lady Eagles connected on five of nine free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored eight points off 11 Madison Central turnovers.

Nataya Strader led Madison Central with 19 points including three three point baskets, nine rebounds, and five steals. Cameryn Ridderikhoff added 12 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Jordynn Miles and 5-6 Sr. Tiana Long each scored eight points. Brittany Campbell recorded seven points, eight rebounds, and four assists.

Chapel Brown led Lexington Christian Academy with 16 points including four three point baskets and three rebounds. Claire Roberts added 10 points including three three point baskets and three rebounds. Piper Graham recorded seven points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Sophie Pridemore pulled down eight rebounds.
