Lawrence North coach Jack Keefer started the following lineup: 6-4 Sr. Brandon Muncie, 6-3 Sr. Eron Harris, 6-10 Sr. Michael Chandler, 6-2 Sr. Eric Harris, and 6-1 Sr. Rick Thomas.  Scott County coach Billy Hicks countered with 6-4 Jr. Tamron Manning, 6-2 Jr. Isaiah Ivey, 6-4 Sr. Tanner Shotwell, 6-0 So. Quin Richardson, and 6-0 Sr. Trey Relford.

Scott County led 57-53 after three quarters and pulled away in the final period to defeat Lawrence North by a score of 92-78.  Scott County’s defense forced 29 turnovers which they converted to 38 points.

Scott County shot 46.8% from the field including seven of 17 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 27 of 36 free throws and pulled down 25 rebounds.  Lawrence North shot 56.6% from the field including six of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Wildcats connected on 12 of 16 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 13 Scott County turnovers.

Tanner Shotwell led Scott County with 32 points, 12 rebounds, four blocked shots, and six steals.  Shotwell was nine of 14 from the field including two of four from the three point line and 12 of 15 from the free throw line.  Isaiah Ivey, Tamron Manning, and Trey Relford added 19, 15, and 13 points respectively.

Michael Chandler led Lawrence North with 24 points and 12 rebounds.  Eron Harris and 5-11 Sr. DeVeon Balls added 13 points each.

Lew Wallace coach Renaldo Thomas started the following lineup: 6-6 Sr. Brandon Dawson, 6-4 Sr. Aaron Abrams, 6-5 Jr. Laron Counce, 5-8 Sr. DeVonte Harris, and 5-10 Sr. Maurice Thurmond.  Scott County coach Billy Hicks countered with 6-4 Jr. Tamron Manning, 6-2 Jr. Isaiah Ivey, 6-4 Sr. Tanner Shotwell, 6-0 Sr. Trey Relford, and 6-0 So. Quin Richardson.

 Scott County utilized excellent free throw shooting going 42 for 51 (82.4%) to capture a hard earned 88-80 decision over a hot shooting (60.8%) Lew Wallace team.  The game was close throughout with eight lead changes and six ties.  Scott County led 61-60 at the end of three quarters and outscored the visitors 27-20 in the final quarter.

Scott County shot 35% from the field including four of 18 from the three point line.  The Cardinals pulled down 30 rebounds and scored 31 points off 27 Lew Wallace turnovers.  Lew Wallace shot 60.8% from the field including zero of five from beyond the arc.  The Hornets connected on 18 pf 30 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 14 Scott County turnovers.

Tamron Manning led Scott County with 32 points including two three point baskets and was 10 of 13 from the free throw line.  Manning also recorded nine rebounds and five steals.  Isaiah Ivey added 19 points including 10 of 14 free throws.  Tanner Shotwell recorded 15 points including 11 of 11 free throws and recorded six steals.  Trey Relford also reached double figures with 11 points including nine of 11 free throws.

Brandon Dawson led Lew Wallace with 22 points, 16 rebounds, and four steals.  Aaron Abrams added 18 points and 5-10 So. DeAndre Williams chipped in with 13 points.

Serena Sandusky, 5-7 Sr. Victoria Clark, 6-0 Sr. Amber Crumbie, 5-6 Sr. Carrington Caise, and 5-7 Sr. Marissa Prince.  Sayre coach Scotty Sutton countered with 6-0 Jr. Maddie Mitchell, 5-9 Sr. Bea Cameron, 6-3 8th grader Gabby Bowie, 5-5 Jr. Sophie O’Rourke, and 5-7 Jr. Emily Culbertson.

Bryan Station led 40-38 at the end of three quarters and outscored Sayre 19-4 in the final quarter to earn a 59-42 victory.  Bryan Station shot 39.2% from the field including three of 13 from the three point line.  The Lady Defenders connected on 16 of 22 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 28 Sayre turnovers.  Sayre shot 45.9% from the field including one of three from beyond the arc.  The Lady Spartans connected on seven of 13 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 25 Bryan Station turnovers.

5-9 Fr. Victoria McCoy came off the bench to lead Bryan Station with 15 points including nine of 10 free throws and pulled down eight rebounds.  Amber Crumbie added 11 points and Marissa Prince chipped in with nine points.

Maddie Mitchell led Sayre with 18 points.  Bea Cameron added 13 points and nine rebounds.

Jackson Davis, 5-10 Sr. David Ross, and 6-1 Sr. Dee Yarbrough.  Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus countered with 6-6 Jr. Hunter Allen, 6-2 Sr. Jared Pyatt, 6-2 Sr. Nick Ford, 6-0 Sr. Brenton Covington, and 6-0 So. Dominique Hawkins.

Lafayette led 26-23 at halftime and pulled away in the second half for a 67-51 victory over Madison Central.  The Indians didn’t have an answer for Lafayette’s Dee Yarbrough as he lit up the scoreboard for 32 points. 

Lafayette shot 40.7% from the field including seven of 19 from the three point line.  The Generals connected on 12 of 16 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 17 Madison Cemtral turnovers.  Madison Central shot 30.2% from the field including two of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on 17 of 28 free throws, pulled down 46 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 12 Lafayette turnovers.

Dee Yarbrough led Lafayette with 32 points.  Yarbrough was 11 of 20 from the field including two of five from beyond the arc, and eight of eight from the free throw line.  Tanner Napier added 10 points and six rebounds.  Jackson Davis recorded 10 points and four blocked shots.  Nick Trisko pulled down a team-high 11 rebounds.

Dominique Hawkins led Madison Central with 14 points and eight rebounds.Nick Ford added 12 points and 19 rebounds.  Brenton Covington and Hunter Allen chipped in with nine and eight points respectively.

Kelli Mitchuson.

Lexington Christian defeated Lexington Catholic 70-55 tonight to improve their record to 4-0.  LCA shot 39.3% from the field including seven of 22 from the three point line.  The Lady Eagles connected on 15 of 27 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 20 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 32.8% from the field including four of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Knights connected on 11 of 19 free throws, pulled down 49 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 11 LCA turnovers.

Kelli Mitchuson led a balanced LCA attack with 15 points and dished out nine assists.  Kristen Jacob added 14 points and pulled down 12 rebounds.  Kelli Rhineheart chipped in with 13 points and nine rebounds.  Kaetlin Bundy recorded 13 points including three three point baskets.  Rachel Cox added six points, five assists, and seven steals.

Alex Botkin led Lexington Catholic with 15 points and 12 rebounds.  5-4 So. Sarah Cawood added 13 points including three three point baskets.  Octavia Wilson recorded 11 points and seven rebounds.

Highlands coach Jaime Walz Richey started the following lineup: Sr. Kelsey Dunn, So. Leah Schaefer, So. Jesse Daley, So. Ava Abner, and Jr. Allie Conner.  Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 5-11 Sr. Annamarie Campbell, 5-11 Sr. Monica McGreal, 5-11 Sr. Morgan Clemons, 5-5 Sr. Hannah Washle, and 5-4 Sr. Maddie Peabody.

The veteran Sacred Heart team proved to be too much for a young Highlands team tonight as they won by a score of 64-43.  The first and fourth quarters proved to be disasterous for the Bluebirds as they were outscored 17-6 and 17-4. Sacred Heart scored 28 points off 24 Highlands turnovers tonight.

Sacred Heart shot 45.2% from the field including four of 12 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on four of eight free throws and pulled down 37 rebounds.  Highlands shot 35.2% from the field including one of eight from beyond the arc.  The Bluebirds connected on four of four free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 16 Sacred Heart turnovers.

Monica McGreal led Sacred Heart with 17 points.  Maddie Peabody added 15 points including three three point baskets and recorded seven rebounds and five steals.  Annamarie Campbell chipped in with 14 points and six rebounds.  Morgan Clemons recorded 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Leah Schaefer led Highlands with 10 points and six rebounds.  Jesse Daley added eight points and nine rebounds.

Lexington Catholic defeated Lexington Christian Academy by a score of 63-48.  Lexington Catholic led 33-13 at halftime but LCA rallied to pull within seven: 41-34 at the end of three quarters.  Lexington Catholic outscored LCA 22-14 in the final period to pull away for the victory.

Lexington Catholic shot 55% from the field including seven of 18 from the three point line.  The Knights connected on 12 of 16 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 18 LCA turnovers.  LCA shot 38.6% from the field including four of 19 from beyond the arc.  LCA only shot 25% from the field in the first half but shot 55% in the second half.  The Eagles connected on 10 of 17 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 17 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Scott Schuette led Lexington Catholic with 32 points including six three point baskets.  Schuette was 11 of 17 from the field including six of 10 from beyond the arc, and four of four from the free throw line.  Craig Floyd added 15 points on seven of seven from the field and one of two from the free throw line.  Taylor Martin recorded 11 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, and five steals.

Taylor Barnette led LCA with 22 points including three three point baskets and pulled down nine rebounds.  5-11 So. Tyler Harville added nine points and 6-4 Sr. Max Barjuca chipped in with eight points and eight rebounds.

Scott County captured a big district win over Bryan Station tonight by a score of 68-53.  The Lady Cardinals raced out to a 17-10 first quarter lead and maintained a comfortable lead at the end of each quarter.  5-6 Fr. Audriana Christopher led the victors with 19 points.  5-10 Sr. Kristen Stainback added 16 points and 11 rebounds and 5-11 Fr. Tereka Guyn recorded 11 points and five rebounds.  5-6 Sr. Carrington Caise led Bryan Station with 18 points.  5-9 So. Serena Sandusky added 14 points.

Javonna Layfield, 6-3 Sr. Jaylan Bodiford, 6-3 Sr. Cierra Woods, 5-7 Jr. Daryius Franklin, and 5-6 Sr. Anjelica Newby.  Manual coach Stacy Pendleton countered with 5-10 Jr. Kara Wright, 5-7 Jr. Leasia Wright, 5-10 Sr. Mechael Guess, 5-4 Sr. Raven Hester, and 5-7 Jr. April Wilson.

Manual outscored Ballard 24-6 in the second quarter on their way to a 81-45 victory.  Manual shot 41.3% from the field including five of 13 from the three point line.  The Lady Crimsons connected on 24 of 32 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 41 points off 43 Ballard turnovers.  Ballard shot 47.4% from the field including zero of four from beyond the arc.  The Bruins connected on nine of 16 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 29 Manual turnovers.

Mechael Guess led Manual in scoring with 18 pointsand pulled down six rebounds.  April Wilson recorded a triple double with 16 points, 10 assists, and 11 steals Wilson also pulled down six rebounds.  5-7 Jr. Lauren Bodine added 12 points including two three point baskets.  Kara Wright chipped in with 10 points and six rebounds.

Javonna Layfield led Ballard with 12 points.  Cierra Woods added 11 points and six rebounds.  Jaylan Bodiford also reached double figures with 10 points.

Tates Creek defeated LCA tonight by a score of 62-38.  Tates Creek shot 45.7% from the field including three of 11 from the three point line.  The Commodores connected on 17 of 26 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 27 LCA turnovers.  LCA shot 42.9% from the field including five of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on three of eight free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 18 Tates Creek turnovers.

Ryan Fucci led Tates Creek with 19 points and eight steals.  Marcellus Barksdale added 18 points, nine rebounds, and five steals.  Darius Gibson chipped in with 11 points.  Todd Bradley recorded eight points and six rebounds.
