Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Trae Stewart, 6-0 Sr. Kendrick Prewitt, 6-4 Fr. Jordan Green, 6-0 Sr. Brandon Nichols, and 5-8 Jr. Wes Kimball.  Lafayette coach Greg Coldiron countered with 6-1 Sr. Dee Yarbrough, 6-0 Sr. Jalen Wilkerson, 6-7 Fr. Jackson Davis, 5-10 Sr. David Ross, and 5-9 Fr. Charles “Snoop” Johnson.

Henry Clay defeated Lafayette by a score of 77-71.  Henry Clay shot 38.5% from the field including five of 16 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on 22 of 25 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 15 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 37% from the field including six of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Generals connected on 11 of 22 free throws, pulled down 53 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 13 Henry Clay turnovers.

Jordan Green led Henry Clay with 19 points and 14 rebounds.  6-5 Fr. Trey Grundy added 15 points.  Kendrick Prewitt also scored 15 points.

Dee Yarbrough led Lafayette with 23 points and 13 rebounds.  Jackson Davis added 13 points, 14 rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Jalen Wilkerson also scored 13 points including three three point baskets.

Octavia Wilson hit her free throws down the stretch to allow Lexington Catholic to earn a 58-56 victory over Holy Cross.  Lexington Catholic shot 44.2% from the field including five of nine from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on 15 of 22 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 14 Holy Cross turnovers.  Holy Cross shot 35.5% from the field including two of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on 10 of 18 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 20 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Octavia Wilson led Lexington Catholic with 21 points including three three point baskets and dished out six assists.  Alex Botkin added 11 points, 11 rebounds, and five steals.  Elizabeth Walton chipped in with nine points, four rebounds, and four blocked shots.

Iman Ronney led Holy Cross with 23 points and 10 rebounds.  Deasia Beal added 13 points, 13 rebounds, and eight assists.  Deja Turner chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets.

Luke Hill, 6-0 Sr. Levi Gifford, and 5-8 Jr. Trenton Edgington.

Lexington Catholic led 52-45 after three quarters and pulled away in the final quarter for a 79-53 victory. Note: Trenton Edgington (Lincoln County) only played 5:07 minutes tonight and left the game with an injury.  Lexington Catholic shot 56.4% from the field including six of 18 from the three point line.  The Knights connected on 11 of 16 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 16 Lincoln County turnovers.  Lincoln County shot 34.7% from the field including five of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Patriots connected on 14 of 16 free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 15 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Taylor Martin led Lexington Catholic with 33 points, nine rebounds, eight assists, and four steals.  Martin was 14 of 18 from the field and five of six from the free throw line.  Scott Schuette added 21 points including five three point baskets.

Zack Hill led Lincoln County with 22 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, and three steals.  Luke Hill added 16 points and five rebounds.  Levi Gifford chipped in with nine points on three three point baskets.

Marion County captured a 51-47 decision over Mercy Academy in a battle between two of the state’s elite teams.  Marion County shot 44.2% from the field including two of 10 from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on 11 of 17 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 11 Mercy turnovers.  Mercy Academy shot 36.4% from the field including three of eight from beyond the arc.  The Jaguars connected on four of four free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 15 Marion County turnovers.

Bre Elder led Marion County with 18 points.  Makayla Epps added 16 points and six rebounds.  Kyvin Goodin-Rogers recorded six points, 13 rebounds, and four blocked shots.

Whitney Hartlage led Mercy Academy with 15 points including three three point baskets.  Juliann Miller and Christine Roush added eight points each.

Lincoln County scored 31 points off 26 Lafayette turnovers in a 55-48 victory.  Lincoln County shot 33.9% from the field including two of 10 from the three point line.  The Lady Patriots connected on 10 of 15 free throws and pulled down 41 rebounds.  Lafayette shot 31.6% from the field including six of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Generals connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 20 Lincoln County turnovers.

Emily Fox led Lincoln County with 16 points, six rebounds, and five steals.  5-9 So. Kourtney Belcher added 11 points.  Rachel Spangler chipped in with 10 points, eight rebounds, and five steals.

Sarah Martin led Lafayette with 14 points including four three point baskets.  Jariana Gillespie added 11 points and seven steals.  Shomari Kendrick recorded 10 points, 14 rebounds, six blocked shots, and five steals.  Emily Justice pulled down nine rebounds.

Sayre outscored Whitefield Academy 29-13 in the third quarter on their way to a 66-48 victory.  Sayre shot a blazing 65.8% from the field including three of six from the three point line.  The Spartans connected on 13 of 18 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 16 Whitefield Academy turnovers.  Whitefield Academy shot 31.3% from the field including six of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Wildcats connected on 12 of 23 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 23 Sayre turnovers.

Ray Brewer led Syre with 18 points and seven rebounds.  Mike Smith added 16 points, four assists, and six steals.  6-3 Sr. Griffin Patterson chipped in with 10 points and 12 rebounds.  Reid Freeman recorde 10 points including two three point baskets.

Charlie Freed led Whitefield Academy with 21 points including four three point baskets.  6-0 Sr. Ryan Brookshire added nine points and Conner Fulkerson chipped in with eight points, five assists, and three steals.

6-2 Jr. Taylor Barnette led LCA with 17 points.  Tyler Harville added 11 points including three three point baskets.  Max Barjuca chipped in with nine points and six rebounds.

Lafayette scored 27 points from beyond the arc in a 52-30 victory over Lexington Christian Academy.  Lafayette shot 31.6% from the field including nine of 21 from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on seven of 13 free throws, pulled down 51 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 21 LCA turnovers.  LCA shot 29.2% from the field including one of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Eagles connected on one of six free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored nine points off 20 Lafayette turnovers.

5-7 Fr. Kenyale Demus led Lafayette with 13 points including three three point baskets.  Emily Justice added 12 points including three three point baskets.  Shomari Kendrick recorded 11 points, 21 rebounds, and five steals.  Sarah Martin chipped in with nine points on three three point baskets.

Kristen Jacob led LCA with 12 points and eight rebounds.  Kelli Rinehart added six points and six rebounds.

The score was tied 36-36 after three quarters but Elizabethtown pulled away in the final quarter for a 55-46 victory.  Elizabethtown shot 53.1% from the field including three of six from the three point line.  The Lady Panthers connected on 18 of 19 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored four points off eight Marion County turnovers.  Marion County shot 33.3% from the field including four of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Maroons connected on 12 of 14 free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 13 Elizabethtown turnovers.

Natalie Greenwell led Elizabethtown with 21 points and five rebounds.  Greenwell was six of nine from the field including two of three from beyond the arc, and seven of seven from the free throw line.  Adelaide Luckett added 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Makayla Epps led Marion County with 18 points including two three point baskets.  Kyvin Goodin-Rogers added 15 points.

Scott County coach Billy Hicks started the following lineup: 6-4 Jr. Tamron Manning, 6-2 Jr. Isaiah Ivey, 6-4 Jr. Tanner Shotwell, 5-10 So. Quin Richardson, and 6-1 Jr. Josh Harris.  Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-5 Sr. Taylor Martin, 6-4 Sr. Scott Schuette, 6-5 Jr. Craig Floyd, 5-10 Jr. Brian Woomer, and 6-0 Sr. Seth Beckham.

Scott county captured a big road win with an 85-81 win over Lexington Catholic.  Scott County held a 42-34 halftime lead but Lexington Catholic roared back to lead 70-67 after three quarters. Scott County pulled away late to claim the victory.  There were 19 lead changes and seven ties in this contest.  Free throw shooting was Lexington Catholic’s Achilles’ Heel tonight as they could only manage 23 of 40 from the line.

Scott County shot 52.7% from the field including five of 14 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 22 of 30 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 20 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 56.5% from the field including six of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Knights connected on 23 of 40 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 17 Scott County turnovers.

Tanner Shotwell led Scott County with 19 points and eight rebounds.  Tamron Manning also scored 19 points.  Isaiah Ivey added 17 points.  Josh Harris also reached double figures with 12 points.

Scott Schuette led Lexington Catholic with 24 points including four three point baskets.  Taylor Martin added 20 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and five steals.  Seth Beckham chipped in with 15 points and six rebounds.
