Lexington Catholic raced out to a 41-0 first quarter lead in a 69-6 victory over Taylor County.  Lexington Catholic improves their record to 7-1 while Taylor County drops to 3-4 for the season.  Lexington Catholic recorded 10 first downs and 270 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized four times for 21 yards and did not suffer any turnovers.  Taylor County recorded six first downs and 142 yards of total offense.  They were penalized once for five yards and lost four fumbles.

Amoh Kumengisa led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 32 yards on two carries.  Kairon Snowden carried the ball five times for 19 yards and two touchdowns.  Kyle Bolin completed six of eight passes for 167 yards and three touchdowns.  Justin Brownell caught two passes for 26 yards.  Casey Nash, Malik Guidry, and Mike Lynch had touchdown receptions of 38, 31, and 12 yards respectively.  Chase Boling led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  Chris Noll added three solo and three assisted tackles.

Cody Newton led Taylor County’s ground game with 77 yards and a touchdown on six carries.  Hunter Christie completed one of two passes for 18 yards.  Conner Fair caught one pass for 18 yards.  Dylam Bright and Cody Bast led the defense with three solo tackles each.

The laser-like accuracy of QB Logan Woodside (nine of 10 completions and four touchdowns) and the exploits of Ryan Timmons (seven touchdowns) propelled Franklin County to a 57-25 victory over Woodford County.  Franklin County improves to 8-0 and woodford County falls to 4-3 for the season.  Franklin County recorded 14 first downs and 479 yards of total offense.  The Flyers were penalized six times for 55 yards and lost three fumbles.  Woodford County recorded 16 first downs and 371 yards of total offense.  The Yellowjackets were penalized six times for 31 yards and lost a fumble.

Ryan Timmons led Franklin County’s ground game with 171 yards and four touchdowns on five carries.  Chris Roberts carried the ball seven times for 54 yards.  Logan Woodside completed nine of 10 passes for 244 yards and four touchdowns.  Ryan Timmons caught five passes for 203 yards and three touchdowns.  Damani Aziz led the defense with six solo and seven assisted tackles.  Jay Brough added four solo and seven assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a loss of nine yards.  Josh Pedrone recorded two solo and 10 assisted tackles.

Brandon Campbell led Woodford County’s ground game with 118 yards on 18 carries.  Samuel Rusher carried the ball 16 times for 98 yards and a touchdown.  Michael Rusher added 43 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.  Matt Couch completed six of 12 passes for 104 yards and a touchdown.  Michael Rusher caught four passes for 62 yards and a touchdown.  Conrad Smart led the defense with two solo and three assisted tackles.  Chad Hunter added two solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a loss of four yards.

Madison Central defeated Tates Creek 39-14 to improve their record to 3-4 for the season and drop Tates Creek to 3-5 for the season.  Madison Central recorded 20 first downs and 431 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized twice for 10 yards.  Tates Creek recorded six first downs and 134 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized three times for 25 yards and lost two fumbles.

Dominique Hawkins led Madison Central’s ground attack with 143 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries.  Jamez Chenault carried the ball 14 times for 95 yards.  Hunter Stocker completed 10 of 15 passes for 122 yards and a touchdown.  Jamez Chenault caught four passes for 31 yards.  Ken’Jah Bosley added two receptions for 41 yards.  Hunter Allen caught an 18 yard TD pass.  Tucker Fair led the defense with three solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in losses totalling nine yards.  Austin Coyle recorded two solo and two assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totalling 10 yards.

Dennis Oxendine led Tates Creek’s ground game with 25 yards on seven carries.  Casey Grimes carried the ball nine times for 24 yards.  Martell Berry completed five of 14 passes for 91 yards and a touchdown.  TaVon Dunn caught two passes for nine yards.  RJ Taylor caught a 67 yard TD pass.  William Hardin led the defense with eight solo and five assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totalling four yards.  Zach Hinds added five solo and one assisted tackles.

Anderson County rolled up 645 yards of total offense in a 72-18 victory over West Jessamine to improve their record to 6-1 for the season.  West Jessamine remains winless at 0-8 for the season.  Anderson County recorded 23 first downs and 645 yards of total offense.  The Bearcats were penalized seven times for 53 yards and had a pass intercepted.  West Jessamine recorded 14 first downs and 301 yards of total offense.  The Colts were penalized four times for 15 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Ethan Kelly led Anderson County’s ground game with 92 yards on 10 carries.  Granville Hayes carried the ball five times for 67 yards and two touchdowns.  Seth Carmichael completed 13 of 16 passes for 361 yards and six touchdowns with one interception.  Granville Hayes caught four passes for 88 yards and one touchdown.  Ross Cox caught two passes for 112 yards and a touchdown.  B. Curtsinger added two receptions for 54 yards and a touchdown.  Seth Carmichael led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles.  Ross Cox added three solo and two assisted tackles.

Romandon Tatum led West Jessamine’s ground game with 156 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries.  Devin Taylor carried the ball 10 times for 47 yards.  Ryan Horne added 44 yards and a touchdown on four carries.  Ryan Horne completed three of eight passes for 53 yards and a touchdown.  Brent Bailey caught a 27 yard TD pass.  Robert Irgang led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Devin Taylor added three solo and four assisted tackles.

Henry Clay 28  Madison Central 27 – Henry Clay led 28-27 late in the third quarter and held on for the victory.  Madison Central’s Dominique Hawkins scored on a six yard run with 58 seconds remaining in the game but failed on a two point conversion attempt to win the game.

Pleasure Ridge Park 63  Fern Creek 26 – QB Spencer Sumpter completed 12 of 18 passes for 225 yards and four touchdowns to lead PRP.

Western 28  Valley 18 – Keith Miller carried the ball 12 times for 157 yards and two touchdowns to lead Western.

DuPont Manual 40  Butler 35 – Juwan Gardner returned interceptions for TDs of 65 and 47 yards in Manual’s victory.  Butler QB JD Morgan completed 16 of 21 passes for 315 yards and five touchdowns.

Lafayette 26  Bryan Station 19 – Jalen Sleet returned a kickoff 82 yards for a touchdown with 41 seconds remaining on the clock to give Lafayette the victory.

Tates Creek 13  Paul L. Dunbar 7 – Martell Berry scored on a one yard run as time expired to give Tates Creek the victory.  Dennis Oxendine carried the ball 34 times for 175 yards and a touchdown to lead the Commodores.

Anderson County 31  Woodford County 13 – QB Seth Carmichael scored on runs of 7 and 1 yards and threw two touchdown passes to lead Anderson County.

Collins 29  Shelby County 0 – Michael Brooks carried the ball six times for 136 yards including touchdown runs of 59, 61, and 2 yards to lead the victors.

Warren central 34  Ballard 27 – Eric Brown carried the ball 17 times for 132 yards to lead Warren Central’s ground game.  Cam Lewis caught 10 passes for 186 yards and three touchdowns to lead Ballard.

North Bullitt 27  Bullitt Central 17 – Todd Asbury carried the ball 31 times for 210 yards to lead North Bullitt to victory.

Breathitt County 54  Magoffin County 14 – QB Richard Trent threw TD passes of 20, 9, and 25 yards and the Breathitt County defense scored on interception returns of 32 and 49 yards and a 24 yard fumble recovery return.

Harlan County 57  Clark County 36 – Harlan County improves to 6-0 despite TD runs of 70, 52, 40, and 90 yards by Clark County’s Pokey Harris.

Approximately 30,000 fans watched Trinity pull away in the second half to defeat St. Xavier by a score of 41-6.  Trinity led 14-6 at halftime but St. Xavier had their opportunities but fumbled at the goal line.  The scond half was all Trinity as the Shamrocks improve to 6-0 and St. Xavier falls to 3-4 for the season.  Trinity recorded 21 first downs and 449 yards of total offense.  The Shamrocks were penalized six times for 55 yards.  St. Xavier recorded 14 first downs and 304 yards of total offense.  The Tigers were penalized six times for 63 yards and lost a fumble.

D. Dawkins led Trinity’s ground attack with 139 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries.  T. Wright completed 17 of 23 passes for 252 yards and two touchdowns.  J. Quick caught eight passes for 155 yards and two touchdowns.  A. Wall caught four passes for 73 yards and a touchdown.  T. Smith, D. Bertram, and A. Reynolds each recorded four solo and one assisted tackles to lead the defense.

Anderson County improved their record to 5-1 with a 31-13 victory over Woodford County who drops to 4-2 for the season.  Anderson County recorded 17 first downs and 443 yards of total offense.  The Bearcats were penalized eight times for 61 yards and lost a fumble.  Woodford County recorded 11 first downs and 274 yards of total offense.  The Yellowjackets were penalized eight times for 60 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Ethan Kelly led Anderson County’s ground attack with 199 yards on 17 carries.  Granville Hayes carried the ball nine times for 58 yards.  Seth Carmichael completed 12 of 20 passes for 142 yards and two touchdowns.  Ethan Kelly caught four passes for 61 yards and a touchdown.  Matthew Sprague caught three passes for 42 yards.  Travis Phillips led the defense with six solo and five assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totalling six yards.  Ross Cox added three solo and three assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Matthew Sprague and Ethan Kelly each recorded three solo and two assisted tackles and Kelly added an interception.

Samuel Rusher led Woodford County’s ground game with 36 yards on seven carries.  Matt Couch carried the ball 16 times for 26 yards.  Matt Couch completed eight of 20 passes for 179 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions.  Michael Rusher caught four passes for 143 yards and two touchdowns.  Conrad Smart led the defense with 13 solo and eight assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totalling 23 yards and recovered a fumble.  Travis Head added seven solo and three assisted tackles.  Michael Rusher recorded four solo and six assisted tackles.

Martell Berry scored on a one yard run as time expired to cap a seven minute drive and give Tates Creek a 13-7 victory over Paul L. Dunbar.  Tates Creek improves to 3-4 while Paul L. Dunbar remains without a victory at 0-6.  Tates Creek recorded 19 first downs and 279 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized five times for 38 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Dunbar recorded eight first downs and 126 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized five times for 50 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Dennis Oxendine led Tates Creek’s ground game with 175 yards and a touchdown on 34 carries.  Casey Grimes carried the ball four times for 63 yards.  Martell Berry was zero of 10 through the air with one interception.  Taylor Grimes led the defense with two solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totalling five yards.  William Hardin and Cal Stewart each recorded one solo and four assisted tackles with William Hardin intercepting a pass.

Antwan Williams led Dunbar’s ground game with 25 yards on seven carries.  Isaih Olige carried the ball seven times for 21 yards.  Blake Martin completed five of 12 passes for 61 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions.  J. Armstrong caught two passes for 43 yards and a touchdown.  Seth Haga led the defense with six solo and seven assisted tackles.  Andre Jones added two solo and 10 assisted tackles.

Jaleen Sleet returned a kickoff 82 yards with 41 seconds left in the game and William Johnson scored on a two point conversion run to give Lafayette a 26-19 victory over Bryan Station.  The game was delayed in the second half when Lafayette QB Garrett Peavler suffered an injury and was taken from the stadium in an ambulance after being tackled on a blitz.  Lafayette improves their record to 5-2 while Bryan Station falls to 4-2.

Lafayette recorded 10 first downs and 207 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized seven times for 98 yards and lost a fumble.  Bryan Station recorded 14 first downs and 142 yards of total offense.  The Defenders were penalized three times for 40 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

William Johnson led Lafayette’s ground attack with 61 yards on 18 carries.  Garrett Peavler completed five of 14 passes for 90 yards and a touchdown.  Jeremy Smith completed four of six yards for 35 yards and a touchdown.  William Johnson caught five passes for 49 yards and a touchdown.  Darius Hughes added two receptions for 39 yards and a touchdown.  Tranard Chester added two receptions for 37 yards.  Justin Carr led the defense with 11 solo and five assisted tackles.  Chris Oldham added five solo and one assisted tackles with four of his tackles resulting in losses totalling 19 yards.  Andy Hampton chipped in with four solo and two assisted tackles.  TJ Broadus recorded two solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totalling 25 yards.

LJ Warfield led Bryan Station’s ground game with 53 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries.  LeDarius Jackson carried the ball seven times for 45 yards.  Ora Johnson completed seven of 17 passes for 63 yards.  Kenyon Hippe caught four passes for 45 yards.  Everett Talbert led the defense with eight solo and three assisted tackles with 5.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totalling 17 yards.  Raking Young and Austin Hendron each recorded two solo and three assisted tackles.

Lexington Catholic defeated Boyle County 20-13 tonight to break a six game losing streak at the hands of the Rebels.  Lexington Catholic improves to 6-1 while Boyle County falls to 4-3 for the season.  Boyle County put together a 10 minute play in the final quarter which resulted in a missed field  goal.  Lexington Catholic scored the winning touchdown on a 77 yard TD pass from Kyle Bolin to Casey Nash with 4:57 left on the clock.  Boyle County had one more opportunity but a fourth down pass from the LexCath 29 yard line resulted in an interception.  Kyle Bolin moved the team through the air tonight as the Lexington Catholic ground game was held to 1.3 yards per carry on 17 rushing attempts.

Lexington Catholic recorded 18 first downs and 391 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized seven times for 45 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  Boyle County recorded 21 first downs and 320 yards of total offense.  The Rebels were penalized six times for 49 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Kyle Bolin led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with nine yards and a touchdown on six carries.  Kyle Bolin completed 23 of 37 passes for 369 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Adam Bush caught 11 passes for 115 yards.  David Bouvier caught six passes for 67 yards.  Casey Nash added five receptions for 186 yards and a touchdown.  Josh Mesmer led the defense with nine solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totalling three yards.  Alex Nash and Adam Wachs each recorded four solo and three assisted tackles.

Zach Hester led Boyle County’s ground attack with 75 yards on 17 carries.  Devon Cox carried the ball 17 times for 61 yards,  Casey Whittle completed six of 20 passes for 127 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Steven Talbott caught two passes for 50 yards and a touchdown.  Zach Hester caught two passes for 34 yards.  Clint Hellyer led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  Devon Cox and Austin Muniz also each recorded four solo and one assisted tackles.
