Montgomery County coach Tony Wise started the following lineup: 6-5 Jr. Omar Prewitt, 6-2 So. Darius Jones, 6-2 Sr. Keenan Kelley, 5-8 So. Austin Crisp, and 5-10 Sr. Brandon Fruth. Bryan Station coach Mike Allen countered with 6-3 Jr. Larry Morton, 6-2 Sr. Marcus Williams, 6-2 Jr. Kenyon Hipps, 5-10 Jr. Tyler Smith, and 6-1 Sr. Jaylen Beckham.
Bryan Station led 42-37 after three quarters but Montgomery County rallied for a 56-50 victory. Montgomery County shot 52.8% from the field including five of 14 from the three point line. The Indians connected on 13 of 21 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 15 Bryan Station turnovers. Bryan Station shot 31.3% from the field including six of 32 from beyond the arc. The Defenders connected on four of eight free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 17 Montgomery County turnovers. Bryan Station held a 17-4 advantage on second effort points.
Omar Prewitt led Montgomery County with 23 points including four three point baskets and pulled down 13 rebounds. Brandon Fruth added 10 points. Keenan Kelley and 5-9 Sr. Jake Handshoe each recorded eight points.
5-7 So. Marcellus Washington led Bryan Station with 14 points including four three point baskets. Jaylen Beckham added 10 points, six rebounds, and seven assists. Marcus Williams pulled down nine rebounds.
