Scott County continues to march toward the playoffs with a 69-34 victory over Henry Clay to improve their record to 6-1 for the season.  Henry Clay falls to 3-5.  Scott County recorded 21 first downs and 499 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized eight times for 88 yards and lost a fumble.  Henry Clay recorded 19 first downs and 346 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized four times for 18 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Dierries Dumphord led Scott County’s ground game with 143 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries.  Kevo Edwards carried the ball 11 times for 78 yards and two touchdowns.  Clay McKee completed six of seven passes for 224 yards and four touchdowns.  Scott Daniel caught three passes for 156 yards and two touchdowns.  Thomas Daniel added two receptions for 63 yards and two touchdowns.  Conner Owens led the defense with one solo and eight assisted tackles.  Scott Daniel added four solo tackles.  Grayson Miller recorded three solo and one assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 23 yards.  Miller also scored on a 26 yard fumble recovery return.

Elijah Bell led Henry Clay’s ground game with 158 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries.  Davion Jackson carried the ball eight times for 70 yards.  Sammy Carter completed 12 of 20 passes for 225 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Austin Black caught six passes for 131 yards and a touchdown.  Elijah Bell added a 51 yard scoring reception.  Anthony Lindsey led the defense with four solo and five assisted tackles.  Jalen Ludwig and Elijah Gibbs added three solo and five assisted tackles each.

We have heard it all “fast break football, basketball on grass”, etc. but tonight all the descriptions fit as Franklin County outscored Woodford County by a score of 76-55 to improve their record to 8-0 for the season.  Woodford County falls to 3-4 for the year.  Both teams combined for 131 points and 1166 yards of total offense.  Woodford County won the battle of clock possession with 34:29 to 13:31.  Woodford County led 34-20 in the third quarter but Franklin County rallied to tie the game at 41-41 entering the final quarter.  Franklin County outscored the Yellow Jackets 35-14 in the final quarter.  Franklin County recorded 22 first downs and yards of total offense.  The Flyers were penalized 11 times for 116 yards, lost three fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.  Woodford County recorded 22 first downs and 564 yards of total offense.  The Yellow Jackets were penalized 16 times for 11 yards, lost two fumbles, and had one pass intercepted.

Ryan Timmons led Franklin County’s ground game with 122 yards and three touchdowns on six carries.  Chris Roberts carried the ball 11 times for 82 yards and two touchdowns.  Logan Woodside completed 11 of 15 passes for 330 yards and six touchdowns with two interceptions.  Ryan Timmons caught four passes for 166 yards and three touchdowns.  Greg Maupin added three receptions for 59 yards and a touchdown.  Lor. McCaskell caught two passes for 80 yards and a touchdown.  Logan Woodside led the defense with seven solo and five assisted tackles.  Brandon Smith added five solo and five assisted tackles.  Alex Prado recorded two solo and eight assisted tackles.

Jarren Holts led Woodford County’s ground game with 183 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries.  Kainan Hudson carried the ball 14 times for 140 yards and a touchdown.  Conrad Smart carried the ball nine times for 56 yards.  Kainan Hudson completed six of 14 passes for 161 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.  Colton McCrady caught three passes for 134 yards and three touchdowns.  Elijah Jones led the defense with three solo and three assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards.  Wyatt Jobe added three solo and two assisted tackles.  Thomas Hickman returned four kickoffs for 171 yards including an 80 yard return for a touchdown.

Lexington Catholic held on to defeat Boyle County by a score of 24-21.  Boyle County missed a 24 yard field goal attempt with 5.2 seconds remaining on the clock.  This was a hotly contested game punctuated with injuries and penalties.  The first quarter was scoreless but Boyle County held a 14-7 lead late in the first half.  Back-up QB Reese Ryan threw a 38 yard TD pass to Sam Letton as time expired to pull the Knights within two; 14-12 at the intermission.  LexCath lost QB Kyle Bolin, Sam Letton, and LB Josh Mesmer in the first half due to injuries.  Boyle County took a 21-12 lead in the third quarter on a 22 yard interception return by Seph Burke.  The Rebels intercepted another Ryan pass but a 27 yard field goal attempt by Will Harris was blocked by Casey Nash.  Lexington Catholic rallied in the final period behind their defense and the passing of Reese Ryan and two touchdown runs by Amoh Kumengisa to earn the victory.  Boyle County had one final opportunity but the potential game-tying field goal was wide left.

Lexington Catholic recorded 15 first downs and 320 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized 10 times for 95 yards and had two passes intercepted.  Boyle County recorded 21 first downs and 365 yards of total offense.  The Rebels ran 27 more plays (73-46) than Lexington Catholic and was penalized six times for 35 yards

Amoh Kumengisa led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 106 yards and three touchdowns with 11 carries.  Kyle Bolin completed five of 12 passes for 48 yards.  Reese Ryan completed seven of 11 passes for 122 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions.  David Bouvier caught five passes for 48 yards.  Amoh Kumengisa added three receptions for 33 yards.  Sam Letton caught two passes for 50 yards and a touchdown.  Cody Mitchell led the defense with seven solo and two assisted tackles.  Will Childers and Josh Mesmer each recorded five solo and two assisted tackles.

Seph Burke led Boyle County’s ground game with 92 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries.  Lloyd Hall carried the ball 17 times for 53 yards.  Casey Whittle completed 12 of 26 passes for 187 yards and a touchdown.  Lloyd Hall caught six passes for 118 yards and a touchdown.  Josiah Robbins added three receptions for 30 yards.  Josiah Robbins led the defense with six solo tackles.  Kyle Kephart added four solo and one assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards.  Levi McKinney recorded four solo tackles.  Seph Burke scored on a 22 yard interception return.

Lafayette defeated Bryan Station by a score of 33-29.  It looked like all Lafayette early as they took a 20-7 lead early in the second quarter.  Bryan Station rallied to take a 21-20 lead on a nine yard pass from Ora Johnson to Kenyon Hipps and the conversion kick by Bailey Shier.  The teams traded touchdowns with Bryan Station adding the two point conversion to take a 29-26 lead with 4:34 to go in the game. Garrett Peavler scored on a one yard run and N. Gillespie kicked the extra point with 58 seconds remaining on the clock to give Lafayette a 33-29 lead.  Justin Carr ensured the victory with an interception of an Ora Johnson pass on the Lafayette 25 with 22 seconds left on the clock.

Lafayette recorded 21 first downs and 386 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized 10 times for 94 yards, lost two fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.  Bryan Station recorded 17 first downs and 286 yards of total offense.  The Defenders were penalized nine times for 79 yards, lost three fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.

Kylan Nelson led Lafayette’s ground game with 141 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries.  Garrett Peavler completed 12 of 23 passes for 184 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions.  Kylan Nelson caught four passes for 77 yards and a touchdown.  Josh Dunn added three receptions for 33 yards.  Tranard Chester caught two passes for 49 yards and a touchdown.  Drew Horseman led the defense with six solo and four assisted tackles.  Justin Carr added four solo and four assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Nick Lincavage recorded four solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Kylan Nelson added three punt returns for 139 yards including a 94 yard TD return and returned three kickoffs for 73 yards to boost his all purpose yards to 430 yards for the night.

Anderson County defeated Woodford County by a score of 21-7.  Anderson County recorded 19 first downs and 367 yards of total offense.  The Bearcats were penalized seven times for 58 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.  Woodford County recorded 13 first downs and 169 yards of total offense.  The Yellow Jackets were penalized once for three yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Granville Hayes led Anderson County’s ground game with 131 yards on 19 carries.  Zach Carmichael carried the ball seven times for 44 yards.  Zach Carmichael completed 13 of 22 passes for 169 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions.  Ross Cox caught five passes for 55 yards.  Dusty Puckett added three receptions for 75 yards and two touchdowns.  Tristan Ashburn led the defense with five solo and seven assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a five yard loss.  Ross Cox recorded five solo tackles, three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an 11 yard loss and intercepted a pass.

Jarren Holts led Woodford County’s ground game with 64 yards on 13 carries.  Conrad Smart carried the ball eight times for 37 yards and a touchdown.  Jarren Holts caught two passes for 27 yards.  Buch.-Maxberry added two receptions for 18 yards.  Conrad Smart led the defense with five solo and nine assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Wyatt Jobe added three solo and six assisted tackles.  Jarren Holts recorded three solo and five assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.

Franklin County defeated East Jessamine by a score of 35-22.  Franklin County recorded 18 first downs and 336 yards of total offense.  The Flyers were penalized seven times for 63 yards and lost a fumble.  East Jessamine recorded 14 first downs and 281 yards of total offense.  The Jaguars were penalized seven times for 50 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Chris Roberts led Franklin County’s ground game with 123 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.  Logan Woodside carried the ball nine times for 37 yards and a touchdown.  Logan Woodside completed 11 of 16 passes for 115 yards and a touchdown.  Chris Roberts caught five passes for 34 yards.  Greg Maupin added three receptions for 59 yards and a touchdown.  Jarod Marshall led the defense with 10 solo and six assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling two yards.  Sam Anderson added three solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards.

Jared Caudill led East Jessamine’s ground game with 93 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.  Kahnen Leslie carried the ball five times for 54 yards.  Ronnie Carson completed five of 13 passes for 50 yards with two interceptions.  Kahnen Leslie caught two passes for 38 yards.  Hayden Tatman led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles.  Clay Harrison added five solo and one assisted tackles.  T. Dunbar despite losing four fumbles and being penalized 14 times for 206 yards.  Tates Creek recorded 19 first downs and 427 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized 14 times for 206 yards and gave up four fumbles.  Paul L. Dunbar recorded 13 first downs and 254 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized 15 times for 145 yards and had six passes intercepted.

Casey Grimes led Tates Creek’s ground attack with 101 yards on 17 carries.  Marcus Wilkerson carried the ball seven times for 56 yards.  Graham Gordon completed seven of 12 passes for 167 yards and one touchdown.  Jake Ryan completed three of four passes for 51 yards.  R.J. Taylor caught two passes for 97 yards and a touchdown.  Marcus Wilkerson added two receptions for 47 yards.  Eamon Nasr led the defense with four solo and seven assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.  Clint Boyte added five solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.  Ryan Betlach intercepted a pass and returned it 29 yards for a touchdown.  Martavius Carter intercepted two passes.

Darien Hardaway led Paul L. Madison Central led 20-0 after the first quarter on their way to a 44-24 victory over Henry Clay tonight.  Turnovers proved costly for the Blue Devils as three fumbles led to three Madison Central scoring drives.  Madison central recorded 18 first downs and 406 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized eight times for 41 yards.  Henry Clay recorded 14 first downs and 349 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized five times for 54 yards and lost three fumbles.

Dominique Hawkins led Madison Central’s ground game with 103 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries.  Hunter Stocker completed 11 of 18 passes for 250 yards and four touchdowns.  Ken’Jah Bosley caught seven passes for 195 yards and three touchdowns.  Blake Broaddas led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.  Paul Couch added five solo tackles. 

Elijah Bell led Henry Clay’s ground attack with 116 yards and one touchdown o 19 carries.  Sammy Carter completed 14 of 19 passes for 142 yards and two touchdowns.  Colby Barnes caught six passes for 62 yards and a touchdown.  Austin Black added five receptions for 69 yards.  Logan Gross caught two passes for 67 yards and a touchdown.  Cole McCarty led the defense with eight solo and four assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards.  Anthony Lindsey added five solo and two assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards.
