Lafayette’s offense finally came alive in the second half as the Generals scored 21 points after the intermission to bet Madison Central by a score of 21-0.  Madison Central’s offense was stifled by turnovers as they lost two fumbles and had two passes intercepted.  Lafayette recorded 17 first downs and 406yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized 13 times for 101 yards including a 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty on the Generals to start the second half because their band’s routine ran long.  They had one pass intercepted for the game.  Madison Central recorded 13 first downs and 252 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized twice for 15 yards, lost two fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.

Kylan Nelson led Lafayette’s ground game with 116 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries.  Garrett Peavler completed 16 of 28 passes for 250 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Tranard Chester caught four passes for 59 yards.  Brandon Epps added three receptions for 79 yards.  Kylan Nelson caught three passes for 60 yards.  Josh Dunn caught two passes for 20 yards and two touchdowns.  Justin Carr led the defense with seven solo and five assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards.  Drew Horseman added three solo and five assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  T.J. Broadus recorded five solo tackles including two tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards and intercepted a pass.

Dominique Hawkins led Madison Central’s ground game with 87 yards on 15 carries.  Hunter Stocker carried the ball 10 times for 45 yards.  Hunter Stocker completed nine of 13 passes for 77 yards with two interceptions.  Ken’Jah Bosley caught four passes for 33 yards.  Sam Jones caught one pass for 25 yards.  Austin Coyle led the defense with five solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.  Tucker Fair also recorded five solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards.  Brandon Parks added two solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards and blocked a punt.

Ryan Timmons returned a kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown as time expired to give Franklin County a thrilling 56-52 come-from-behind victory over Anderson County.  Anderson County had taken a 52-50 lead with 14 seconds left on the clock on a 24 yard field goal by Joe Rose.  This was a real slugfest on offense with the two teams combining for 108 points and 1,041 yards of total offense.  Anderson County ran an amazing 84 plays compared to 34 for Franklin County and held a 35:42-12:18 advantage in clock possession.

Franklin County recorded 14 first downs and 423 yards of total offense.  The Flyers were penalized eight times for 37 yards.  Anderson County recorded 36 first downs and 618 yards of total offense.  The Bearcats were penalized seven times for 55 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Ryan Timmons led Franklin County’s ground game with 58 yards on four carries.  Logan Woodside completed nine of 15 passes for 300 yards and five touchdowns.  Greg Maupin caught three passes for 154 yards and two touchdowns.  Ryan Timmons added three receptions for 80 yards and two touchdowns.  Lor. McCaskell caught a 54 yard touchdown pass.  Brandon Smith led the defense with four solo and 11 assisted tackles.  Logan Woodside added three solo and 12 assisted tackles and intercepted two passes.  Greg Maupin recorded four solo and eight assisted tackles.

Zach Carmichael led Anderson County’s ground game with 139 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries.  Tristan Ashburn carried the ball 23 times for 109 yards.  Granville Hayes added 63 yards on 14 carries.  Zach Carmichael completed 13 of 19 passes for 288 yards and four touchdowns with two interceptions.  Ross Cox caught five passes for 116 yards.  Granville Hayes added four receptions for 110 yards and two touchdowns.  Dusty  Puckett caught four passes for 62 yards and two touchdowns.  Nathan Cox led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards.  Sam Laytart added four solo tackles.

Scott County defeated Bryan Station 40-20 in a game where both teams combined for 27 penalties totaling 253 yards.  Scott County recorded 20 first downs and 349 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized 14 times for 120 yards, lost three fumbles, and had one pass intercepted.  Bryan Station recorded 14 first downs and 352 yards of total offense.  The Defenders were penalized 13 times for 133 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Dieries Dumphord led Scott County’s ground game with 195 yards and a touchdown on 32 carries.  Kevo Edwards carried the ball 13 times for 68 yards.  Clay McKee completed three of six passes for 43 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Scott Daniel caught two passes for 26 yards and a touchdown.  Je. Christopher led the defense with six solo tackles.  Patrick Murray added four solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Grayson Miller recorded two solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 18 yards.

S. Harrington led Bryan Station’s ground game with 15 yards on seven carries.  Ora Johnson completed 20 of 50 passes for 339 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions.  Kenyon Hipps caught seven passes for 169 yards and two touchdowns.  Marcus Floyd added seven passes for 124 yards.  Elijah Burdette led the defense with eight solo and three assisted tackles.  Jam. Robertson added six solo and four assisted tackles.  Michael Morton recorded six solo and three assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  Jayron Johnson added four solo and two assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 18 yards.

Tates Creek defeated George Rogers Clark by a score of 46-39 tonight in a high scoring shootout.  Tates Creek recorded 21 first downs and 347 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized six times for 43 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  George Rogers Clark recorded 25 first downs and 500 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized seven times for 56 yards, lost three fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.

Dennis Oxendine led Tates Creek’s ground game with 55 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries.  Casey Grimes carried the ball nine times for 39 yards.  Graham Gordon completed 19 of 24 passes for 232 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.  Dennis Oxendine caught seven passes for 109 yards and one touchdown.  R.J. Taylor added six receptions for 64 yards and a touchdown.  Tavon Dunn caught three passes for 30 yards and a touchdown.  Ryan Betlach led the defense with five solo and six assisted tackles.  Eamon Nasr added three solo and six assisted tackles.  Jay Rayford recorded two solo and seven assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.

C.D. Spight led George Rogers Clark’s ground game with 116 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries.  Luke Sharrock carried the ball 12 times for 89 yards and three touchdowns.  Davon Marshall added 70 yards on six carries.  Luke Sharrock completed 15 of 24 passes for 172 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions.  Davon Marshall caught seven passes for 75 yards.  Tanner Rose added three receptions for 45 yards.  Brent Stoneking caught two passes for 24 yards and a touchdown.  Jaylen Abbott led the defense with two solo and 10 assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards.  Wesley Wattenberger added four solo and three assisted tackles.  Anthony Lay recorded three solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards.

Paul L. Dunbar trailed 19-7 midway through the final period but rallied for a 22-19 victory over Henry Clay.  The fireworks began for the victors as Brandyn Duncan returned a punt 77 yards to the Henry Clay one yard line.  Antwan Williams scored on a six yard run and Levi Clark kicked the extra point to cut the deficit to five; 19-14 with 2:29 left on the clock.  Paul L. Dunbar recovered an onside kick on the ensuing kickoff and Trent Bauer connected with Emory Thompson and a two point conversion pass from Bauer to Brandyn Duncan to make the score 22-19.  Brandyn Duncan ensured the victory with an interception at the Dunbar eight yard line with 1:07 remaining on the clock.  Henry Clay was plagued with penalties (12 for 143 yards) and five turnovers tonight.

Paul L. Dunbar recorded 10 first downs and 195 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized seven times for 51 yards, lost two fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.  Henry Clay recorded 20 first downs and 290 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized 12 times for 143 yards, lost a fumble, and had four passes intercepted.

Antwan Williams led the Dunbar ground game with 95 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries.  Trent Bauer completed seven of 24 passes for 118 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions.  Brandyn Duncan caught four passes for 32 yards.  Emory Thompson and Taylor Smith added touchdown receptions of 50 and 31 yards respectively.  Andre Jones led the defense with seven solo and seven assisted tackles.  Cameron Pergram added five solo and four assisted tackles.  Luke Daily recorded five solo and three assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards.  Brandyn Duncan added three solo and five assisted tackles, recovered a fumble, and intercepted two passes.

Elijah Bell led Henry Clay’s ground attack with 162 yards and a touchdown on 29 carries.  Davion Jackson carried the ball 17 times for 104 yards and two touchdowns.  Sammy Carter completed four of 16 passes for 39 yards with four interceptions.  Austin Black caught three passes for 30 yards.  Jamaal Maddox led the defense with six solo tackles.  Cole McCarty added two solo and four assisted tackles.

Scott County 69  Henry Clay 34 – Dierries Dumphord carried the ball 23 times for 143 yards and two touchdowns and Clay McKee completed six of seven passes for 224 yards including touchdown passes of 72, 43, 53, and 20 yards to lead Scott County.  Elijah Bell caught a 51 yard touchdown pass and carried the ball 10 times for 158 yards including touchdown runs of 83 and 35 yards.

Bryan Station 42  Paul L. Dunbar 17 – Ora Johnson completed 19 of 38 passes for 368 yards and five touchdowns with two interceptions to lead the Defenders.  Kenyon Hipps caught 10 passes for 220 yards and three touchdowns.

Madison Central 45  Tates Creek 38 – Dominique Hawkins carried the ball 22 times for 207 yards and three touchdowns to lead the victors.

Lexington Catholic 56  Taylor County 14 – Lexington Catholic recorded 476 yards of total offense to offset a 21 carry 230 yard with touchdowns of 75 and 66 yards performance by Daulton Turpin.

Franklin County 76  Woodford County 55 – Ryan Timmons carried the ball six times for 122 yards and three touchdowns and caught four passes for 166 yards and three touchdowns to lead Franklin County.  Jarren Holts carried the ball 19 times for 183 yards and three touchdowns and Kainan Hudson carried the ball 14 times for 140 yards and a touchdown and completed six of 14 passes for 161 yards and three touchdowns with one interception to lead Woodford County.

Bryan Station only lead 7-3 at halftime but pulled away in the second half to defeat a young Paul L. Dunbar team by a score of 42-17.  Bryan Station recorded 21 first downs and 500 yards of total offense.  The Defenders were penalized 19 times for 198 yards and had two passes intercepted.  Paul L. Dunbar recorded 16 first downs and 337 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized 11 times for 74 yards and lost two fumbles.

Ora Johnson led the Bryan Station ground game with 63 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.  Ora Johnson completed 19 of 38 passes for 368 yards and five touchdowns with two interceptions.  Kenyon Hipps caught 10 passes for 220 yards and three touchdowns.  Curtis Sellers caught four passes for 62 yards.  Devon Key added three receptions for 51 yards.  Elijah Burdette led the defense with six solo and four assisted tackles.  Jayron Johnson added three solo and six assisted tackles.  Charles Randle recorded three solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards.
