Montgomery County coach Happy Osborne started the following lineup: 6-5 Sr. Omar Prewitt, 6-2 Jr. Darius Jones, 6-3 So. Chase Hall, 6-0 Jr. Bryan Wallace, and 6-0 Sr. Tyler Jones.  Bryan Station coach Mike Allen countered with 6-3 Sr. Larry Morton, 6-2 Sr. Kenyon Hipps, 6-3 Sr. Tyler Smith, 6-0 Jr. Jordan Henry, and 6-1 Jr. Marcellous Washington.

Bryan Station trailed 30-27 at halftime but rallied for a 61-53 victory over Montgomery County.  Bryan Station shot 40% from the field including five of nine from the three point line.  The Defenders connected on 16 of 20 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 13 points off nine Montgomery County turnovers.  Montgomery County shot 35.2% from the field including three of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on 12 of 15 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 12 points off nine Bryan Station turnovers.

Larry Morton led Bryan Station with 18 points and 10 rebounds.  Tyler Smith added 16 points and 11 rebounds.  Smith was six of eight from the field and four of six from the free throw line.  Kenyon Hipps chipped in with 13 points.

Bryan Wallace led Montgomery County with 19 points and seven rebounds.  Omar Prewitt added 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Ashley Johnson.  Archbishop Mitty (CA) coach Sue Phillips countered with 5-10 Sr. D’Andree Galipeau, 5-10 Sr. Emily Dinger, 6-1 Jr. Kelli Hayes, 5-4 Fr. Jahnay Anderson, and 5-8 Sr. Vanessa Garner.

Gretchen Samsel hit a three point basket with 45 seconds on the clock to give Sacred Heart a 62-61 lead on their way to a 63-61 victory over Archbishop Mitty.  Sacred Heart led 42-31 in the third quarter but had to survive a furious rally by Archbishop Mitty to earn the victory.  Sacred Heart shot 48.1% from the field including three of eight from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on 10 of 11 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 21 Archbishop Mitty turnovers.  Archbishop Mitty shot 56.45 from the field including four of eight from beyond the arc.  The Monarchs connected on 13 of 14 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 13 Sacred heart turnovers.

Dai Jia Ruffin led Sacred Heart with 27 points, six rebounds, six assists, and five steals.  Gretchen Samsel added 10 points including two three point baskets.

Kelli Hayes led Archbishop Mitty with 18 points.  Emily Dinger added 15 points including three three point baskets.  Vanessa Garner chipped in with 11 points.

Henry Clay took control of the game early and never trailed in a 77-67 victory over Scott County.  Henry Clay shot 50% from the field including three of 10 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on 14 of 23 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 19 Scott County turnovers.  Scott County shot 35.7% from the field including eight of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Cardinals connected on 19 of 25 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 21 Henry Clay turnovers.

Christen Cunningham led Henry Clay with 27 points and five assists.  Jordan Green added 23 points and 13 rebounds.  Trey Grundy chipped in with 12 points and seven rebounds.

Quin Richardson led Scott County with 23 points including 11 of 12 free throws.  Trent Gilbert added 21 points including five three point baskets.  Jordan Tribble blocked seven shots.

Scott County raced out to a 22-12 first quarter lead on their way to an 80-66 victory over Woodford County.  Scott County held a 20-9 advantage in second chance points.  Scott County shot 45.2% from the field including eight of 15 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 16 of 26 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 11 Woodford County turnovers.  Woodford County shot 36% from the field including five of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Yellow Jackets connected on 25 of 29 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 12 points off nine Scott County turnovers.

Alexis Brewer added nine points including seven of 10 from the free throw line.  LaRue County only recorded six field goals today.

 

Mercy 79  Owensboro Catholic 54 – 5-8 Sr. Whitney Hartlage led Mercy with 27 points including seven three point baskets.  5-7 Sr. Kayla Richardson added 19 points and 6-0 So. Malerie Martin chipped in with 15 points and eight rebounds.  5-5 Fr. Mikayla Berry led Owensboro Catholic with 16 points.  5-9  Jr. Kaylyn Pearson added 11 points and 10 rebounds.  5-8 Fr. Annabel Moore also scored 11 points.

Bryan Station 43  Anderson County 41 (Quarterfinal) – 5-10 Jr. Victoria McCoy hit a field goal at the buzzer to give Bryan Station the victory.  5-9 Jr. Lakyesha Stennis led the victors with 10 points.  5-8 Sr. Serena Sandusky and Victoria McCoy added nine points each.  6-0 Jr. Makenzie Cann led Anderson County with 34 points including six three point baskets.

 

Bowling Green 56  Lexington Catholic 47 (Quarterfinal) – 5-9 Sr. Diamond Marshall led Bowling Green with 23 points and seven rebounds.  5-6 Sr. Brittany Vaughn added 13 points and seven rebounds.  5-8 So. Rachel Blake led Lexington Catholic with 14 points.

 

Franklin County 56  Ashland Blazer 53 (Quarterfinal) – 5-7 Fr. Dasia Kilbourne and 5-8 8th grader Rebecca Cook led Franklin County with 16 and 10 points respectively.  5-6 Sr. Kaylyn Gambill led Ashland Blazer with 17 points including three three point baskets.  5-11 So. Haley-Sue Foutch added 11 points and seven rebounds and 5-7 Sr. Sydney Cullop chipped in with 10 points and seven rebounds.

 

Marion County 64  Bryan Station 43 (Semifinal) – 5-11 Sr. Makayla Epps led Marion County with 22 points, five assists, and seven steals.  6-1 Sr. Kyvin Goodin-Rogers added 20 points, six rebounds, and three steals.  5-7 Sr. Patrice Tonge chipped in with 10 points.  5-9 Jr. Lakyesha Stennis led Bryan Station with 15 points.  5-8 Sr. Serena Sandusky added 13 points.  Marion County scored 31 points off 24 Bryan Station turnovers.

 

Bowling Green 67  Franklin County 43 (Semifinal) – 5-9 Sr. Diamond Marshall, 5-6 Sr. Brittany Vaughn, 5-6 Sr. Mercedes Pruitt, and 5-8 So. Keely Vincent led Bowling Green with 13, 12, 11, and 11 points respectively.  5-8 8th grader Rebecca Cook led Franklin County with nine points and nine rebounds.  5-3 Jr. Nannilena White added eight points and 5-9 Fr. Malaka Frank chipped in with seven points and six rebounds.

Jasmine Howard recorded 10 points and five steals.  5-8 Sr. McKayla Likins led St. Patrick with 24 points, 13 rebounds, and six steals.

 

Simon Kenton 71  Meade County 59 – 5-10 Jr. Rachel Cox led Simon Kenton with 18  points and eight rebounds.  5-2 Jr. Abby Owings also scored 18 points.  5-11 Sr. Paige Bosse recorded nine points and 13 rebounds.  6-2 So. Dee Givens led Lafayette with 13 points and seven rebounds.  6-3 So. Ashanti Thomas added 12 points, eight rebounds, and three blocked shots.  5-9 8th grader Kiara Pankins also reached double figures with 10 points.  6-0 Jr. Sarah Cooley pulled down 10 rebounds.

 

Anderson County 63  LaRue County 54 – 5-11 Jr. Makenzie Cann led Anderson County with 23 points including four three point baskets and seven rebounds.  5-8 Jr. Alex Avritt added 15 points and 5-11 Jr. Eriel McKee recorded 14 points, nine rebounds, and four steals.  6-0 Jr. Ivy Brown led LaRue County with 25 points and 11 rebounds.  5-10 So. Alexis Brewer added 15 points.

 

Ashland Blazer 71  Mercy 52 – 5-6 Sr. Kaylyn Gambill led Ashland with 17 points including four three point baskets.  5-11 So. Haley-Sue Foutch added 14 points and 11 rebounds.  5-8 Sr. Allie Slone and 5-9 So. Alexis Robinson chipped in with 14 and 13 points respectively and Robinson pulled down nine rebounds.  5-7 Sr. Kayla Richardson, 5-8 Sr. Whitney Hartlage, and 5-9 Sr. Victoria Dircksen led Mercy with 12, 11, and 10 points respectively.

 

Lexington Catholic 60  Lincoln County 55 – Lexington Catholic connected on 26 of 28 free throws to earn a victory.  5-8 Sr. Octavia Wilson led the victors with 22 points including 13 of 14 free throws, six rebounds, four assists, and three steals.  5-4 Sr. Sara Cawood added 11 points including three three point baskets.  5-8 So. Rachel Blake chipped in with 10 points.  5-7 Sr. Emily Fox led Lincoln County with 19 points.  5-9 Sr. Kourtney Belcher and 6-0 Sr. Sydney Harris added 14 and 12 points respectively.

 

Franklin County 50  Owensboro Catholic 47 – 5-7 Sr. Raven Timmons led Franklin County with 17 points and seven rebounds.  5-3 Jr. Nannilena White added 13 points, six assists, and six steals.  5-5 Sr. Leah Greathouse led Owensboro Catholic with 14 points.  5-9 So. Destiny Howard added 11 points and nine rebounds.  5-9 Jr. Kaylyn Pearson recorded 10 points and 17 rebounds.
