Lexington Catholic coach Scott True started the following lineup: 5-8 So. Rachel Blake, 5-8 Sr. Octavia Wilson, 5-9 So. Caroline Lynch, 5-3 So. Bailey Browning, and 5-4 Sr. Sara Cawood. Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey countered with 6-2 Sr. Ashton Feldhaus, 5-9 Sr. Heather Hinkle, 6-2 Jr. Shadae Bosley, 5-5 Jr. Bailey O’Bryan, and 5-5 Sr. Larryn Brooks.
Madison Central defeated Lexington Catholic by a score of 60-51. Madison Central shot 48.8% from the field including four of 12 from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on 14 of 20 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 11 Lexington Catholic turnovers. One interesting aspect of this game was that each Madison Central starter played 32 minutes with no substitutions tonight. Lexington Catholic shot 33.3% from the field including seven of 28 from beyond the arc. The Lady Knights connected on 12 of 14 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored nine points off eight Madison Central turnovers.
Ashton Feldhaus led Madison Central with 25 points and eight rebounds. Larryn Brooks added 20 points, four rebounds, eight assists, and three steals. Bailey O’Bryan chipped in with 10 points and five assists.
Bailey Browning led Lexington Catholic with 12 points. Octavia Wilson added 10 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. Rachel Blake chipped in with 10 points and five rebounds.
