Shelby Valley coach Rodney Rowe started the following lineup: 5-7 So. Savannah Honaker, 5-6 Sr. Brianna Fraley, 5-7 Fr. Lakyn Mullins, 5-4 So. Taylor Rowe, and 5-5 Jr. Rachel Smith.  Anderson County coach Tony Kays countered with 5-10 Jr. Eriel McKee, 5-8 Jr. Alex Avritt, 6-0 Sr. Kali Whiteside, 5-3 Jr. Destiny Stewart, and 6-0 Jr. Makenzie Cann.

Anderson County raced out to a 23-8 first quarter lead on their way to a 65-23 victory over Shelby Valley.  Anderson County shot 48.9% from the field including five of 14 from the three point line.  The Lady Bearcats connected on 14 of 19 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 12 Shelby Valley turnovers.  Shelby Valley shot 21.4% from the field including five of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Kats did not attempt any free throws, pulled down 17 rebounds, and scored two points off seven Anderson County turnovers.

Eriel McKee led Anderson County with 24 points and 12 rebounds.  McKee was eight of 12 from the field and eight of 10 from the free throw line.  Makenzie Cann added 11 points, six rebounds, 10 assists, and three blocked shots.  5-4 So. Corrin Robinson chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets.

Rachel Smith led Shelby Valley with 11 points including three three point baskets.  Taylor Rowe added six points on two three point baskets.

Marion County led Montgomery County 18-14 after the first quarter but rapidly pulled away for a 71-32 victory.  Marion County shot 42.9% from the field including eight of 18 from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on 15 of 20 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 18 Montgomery County turnovers.  Montgomery County shot 29.5% from the field including four of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on two of seven free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored eight points off 10 Marion County turnovers.

Makayla Epps led Marion County with 22 points and six assists.  Logan Powell added 19 points including three three point baskets and eight rebounds.  Kyvin Goodin-Rogers recorded 16 points, 11 rebounds, five blocked shots, and five steals.

Erica Rogers led Montgomery County with 11 points including three three point baskets.  Schyler Tipton added eight points and five rebounds.  Keria Lockett chipped in with six points, four rebounds, and three assists.  Macie Spence recorded five points, five rebounds, three assists, and four blocked shots.

Notre Dame coach Nicole Levandusky started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Olivia Voskuhl, 5-10 Jr. Carlee Clemons, 5-11 So. Haylee Smith, 5-10 Jr. Elly Ogle, and 5-8 Jr. Paige Kellam.  Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey countered with 6-2 Sr. Ashton Feldhaus, 5-9 Sr. Heather Hinkle, 6-2 Jr. Shadae Bosley, 5-5 Jr. Bailey O’Bryan, and 5-5 Sr. Larryn Brooks.

Notre Dame defeated Madison Central 57-53 in overtime.  Notre Dame took a 37-23 lead with 2:06 remaining in the third quarter.  Madison Central rallied and held a 49-47 lead late in regulation but Haylee Smith scored to tie the game at 49-49 with 22 seconds left I the game.  Madison Central missed a jumper in the closing seconds and the game went to overtime.  Madison Central held a 53-52 lead with 50 seconds left in overtime but Notre Dame closed out the game on a 5-0 run fueled by a Carlee Clemons rebound basket that gave the Pandas a 54-53 lead with 30 seconds left on the clock.  There were 10 lead changes and four ties in this game.

Notre Dame shot 38.6% from the field including four of 14 from the three point line.  The Pandas connected on nine of 16 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 17 Madison Central turnovers.  Madison Central shot 33.3% from the field including seven of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on 12 of 16 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 15 Notre Dame turnovers.

Olivia Voskuhl led Notre Dame with 14 points including two three point baskets and five rebounds.  Paige Kellam added 13 points and nine rebounds.  Haylee Smith recorded 10 points, 14 rebounds, and six assists.  Elly Ogle chipped in with nine points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Carlee Clemons added seven points, four rebounds, four assists, two blocked shots, and four steals.

Ashton Feldhaus led Madison Central with 26 points including four three point baskets and 14 rebounds.  Feldhaus was nine of 17 from the field including four of six from beyond the arc and four of four from the free throw line.  Larryn Brooks added 19 points, four assists, and five steals.

Marshall County trailed 40-35 after three quarters but rallied in the final quarter to earn a 56-52 victory over Letcher County Central.  Letcher County Central cut the deficit to one; 53-52 with 31 seconds remaining in the game but Mariah McKenty connected on three of four free throws down the stretch to ensure the victory.  Marshall County shot 37.8% from the field including four of 14 from the three point line.  The Lady Marshalls connected on 18 of 22 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 11 Letcher County Central turnovers.  Letcher County Central shot 38% from the field including four of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cougars connected on 10 of 10 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored four points off six Marshall County turnovers.

Taylor Meadows led Marshall County with 18 points including two three point baskets.  Mariah McKenty added 17 points and three steals.  5-11 So. Alyssa Barnard recorded six points and 10 rebounds.

Kelah Eldridge led Letcher County Central with 17 points and nine rebounds.  Julie Cornett added 16 points and 18 rebounds.  Cheyanne Stidham recorded 15 points including three three point baskets.

Mercy Academy coach Mark Evans started the following lineup: 5-7 Sr. Morgan Doherty, 5-7 So. Hannah Bewley, 6-0 So. Malerie Martin, 5-7 Sr. Kayla Richardson, and 5-8 Sr. Whitney Hartlage.  DuPont Manual acting head coach Tim Holman countered with 6-0 Sr. Kayla Styles, 5-7 Sr. Morgan Allen, 6-0 Jr. Tabitha Mitchell, 5-7 Sr. Destony Curry, and 5-7 Sr. Katie Long.

DuPont Manual defeated Mercy Academy 74-60 in another installment of the “Battle of Louisville.”  This was a very intense, hard fought game with a total of 56 fouls and 85 free throws attempted.  Mercy lost three starters via the foul route (Morgan Doherty, Malerie Martin, and Whitney Hartlage) while Tabitha Mitchell fouled out for DuPont Manual.  The injuries ranged from stitches to players leaving the court on crutches.  DuPont Manual’s Kayla Styles had a big game on the offensive end as well as playing great defense on Mercy’s leading scorer Whitney Hartlage.

Manual shot 36.7% from the field including four of 20 from the three point line.  The Lady Crimsons connected on 26 of 44 free throws, pulled down 47 rebounds, and scored 18 turnovers off 22 Mercy turnovers.  Mercy shot 30.2% from the field including three of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Jaguars connected on 31 of 41 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored four points off 17 Manual turnovers.  Mercy attempted 17 less shots (60-43) from the field than Manual.

Kayla Styles led Manual with 17 points, nine rebounds, and three steals.  5-9 So. Aricka Prentice added 14 points and six rebounds.  Morgan Allen also recorded 14 points.  Destony Curry chipped in with 11 points.  6-4 Fr. Krystalline McCune pulled down 10 rebounds.

Kayla Richardson led Mercy with 12 points including 10 of 12 free throws.  Morgan Doherty added 10 points, five rebounds, and three steals.  Whitney Hartlage chipped in with eight points and five rebounds.

 Owensboro Catholic raced out to a 16-5 first quarter lead on their way to a 66-55 victory over Lincoln County.  Lincoln County was cold from beyond the arc today as they were only three of 22 on three point attempts.  Owensboro Catholic shot 47.1% from the field including three of 11 from the three point line.  Owensboro Catholic attempted 29 less shots (63-34) from the field than Lincoln County.  The Lady Aces connected on 31 of 40 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 11 Lincoln County turnovers.  Lincoln County shot 38.1% from the field including three of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Patriots connected on four of six free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 16 Owensboro Catholic turnovers.

Rebecca Greenwell led Owensboro Catholic with 32 points including two three point baskets and 14 of 17 free throws, and pulled down 12 rebounds.  Kaylyn Pearson added 15 points and 11 rebounds.  Mikayla Berry chipped in with 10 points.

Sydney Harris led Lincoln County with 18 points and seven rebounds.  Emily Fox added 13 points and four assists.

Shelby Valley defeated Corbin by a score of 45-38.  Shelby Valley led 22-14 at halftime but Corbin rallied to trail 39-38 with less than two minutes remaining in the game but Shelby Valley finished the game on a 6-0 run.  Shelby Valley shot 37.1% from the field including one of 10 from the three point line.  The Lady Kats connected on 18 of 24 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 18 Corbin turnovers.  Corbin shot 30% from the field including one of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Redhounds connected on seven of nine free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored eight points off 15 Shelby Valley turnovers.

Lakyn Mullins led Shelby Valley with 15 points and nine rebounds.  Brianna Fraley also scored 15 points.

Sarah Ashley led Corbin with 10 points and eight rebounds.  Kayla Wilson and Miranda Wilson added eight and six points respectively.

Samantha Carter.  Anderson County coach Tony Kays countered with 5-10 Jr. Eriel McKee, 5-8 Jr. Alex Avritt, 6-0 Sr. Kali Whiteside, 5-3 Jr. Destiny Stewart, and 6-0 Jr. Makenzie Cann.

Anderson County defeated Henderson County by a score of 65-54.  Anderson County came out hot shooting 72.2% from the field and connecting on seven of nine from beyond the arc to take a 36-24 lead at halftime.  The Lady Bearcats extended the lead to 44-27 in the third quarter but Henderson County mounted a furious rally to pull within one; 50-49 with 4:44 left in the game.  Henderson County trailed 56-54 but Anderson County closed out the game with a 9-0 run.

Anderson County shot 50% from the field including nine of 14 from the three point line.  The Lady Bearcats connected on 18 of 25 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 17 Henderson County turnovers.  Henderson County shot 55% from the field including seven of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Colonels connected on three of six free throws, pulled down 18 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 10 Anderson County turnovers.

Eriel McKee led Anderson County with 27 points including 10 of 14 free throws, eight rebounds, and five steals.  Makenzie Cann added 17 points including four three point baskets and six assists.  Kali Whiteside recorded nine points and 10 rebounds.

Maci Brown led Henderson County with 18 points on six three point baskets.  Ellie Fruit added 14 points.  DeAsia Outlaw chipped in with 13 points and five rebounds.  Samantha Carter dished out six assists.

Montgomery County led 30-29 at halftime and outscored Ashland Blazer 18-6 in the third quarter on their way to  a 60-49 victory.  Montgomery County shot 57.1% from the field including four of six from the three point line.  The Indians connected on eight of 16 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored one point off four Ashland Blazer turnovers.  Montgomery County attempted 22 less shots (64-42) from the field than Ashland Blazer.  Ashland Blazer shot 29.7% from the field including six of 30 from beyond the arc.  The Kittens connected on five of six free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 13 Montgomery County turnovers.

Erica Rogers led a balanced Montgomery County attack with 16 points including two three point baskets and six rebounds.  Schyler Tipton added 15 points and 11 rebounds.  Macie Spence chipped in with 13 points and five rebounds.  Olivia Colliver also reached double figures with 10 points.

Haley Sue Foutch and Sydney Cullop each recorded 10 points and six rebounds for Ashland Blazer.  Kaylyn Gambill also scored 10 points.  5-9 Sr. Madison Jones added eight points.  Alexis Robinson recorded seven points, nine rebounds, and six assists.

Marion County coach Trent Milby started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Kyvin Goodin-Rogers, 5-9 Sr. Logan Powell, 6-0 Jr. Alexus Calhoun, 5-7 Sr. Patrice Tonge, and 5-11 Sr. Makayla Epps.  Bowling Green coach LaVonda Johnson countered with Oneisha Turner, 5-8 Sr. Diamond Marshall, 5-10 Jr. Makayla Gray, 5-4 Sr. Brittany Vaughn, and 5-7 Fr. Dejia Moore.

Marion County proved their lofty reputation was well deserved as they raced out to a 29-7 first quarter lead on their way to a 64-43 victory over a good Bowling Green squad.  Marion County shot 48.2% from the field including four of 17 from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on six of 10 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 19 Bowling Green turnovers.  Marion County recorded 15 steals and 11 blocked shots.  Bowling Green shot 23.6% from the field including one of nine from beyond the arc.  The Purples connected on 16 of 21 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 20 Marion County turnovers.

Makayla Epps led Marion County with 26 points including three three point baskets, eight rebounds, four assists, and five steals.  Kyvin Goodin-Rogers added 19 points, 13 rebounds, three blocked shots, and four steals.  Logan Powell chipped in with nine points, seven rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Alexus Calhoun pulled down seven rebounds and blocked four shots.

Diamond Marshall led Bowling Green with 15 points.  Makayla Gray added 11 points and nine rebounds.  Brittany Vaughn recorded seven points, six rebounds, and four steals.
