Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey started the following lineup: 5-9 Fr. Lindsey Johns, 5-9 Jr. Raevin Cain, 6-2 Sr. Shadae Bosley, 5-7 Sr. Hailey Christian, and 5-5 Sr. Bailey O’Bryan. Lexington Catholic coach Scott True countered with 5-8 Jr. Rachel Blake, 5-9 Jr. Caroline Lynch, 5-10 Sr. Hannah Gadberry, 5-5 Jr. Bailey Browning, and 5-5 Sr. Suzanne Miller.
Madison Central led 39-28 in the final quarter but Lexington Catholic rallied and finished the game with an 11-0 run to earn a 47-44 victory over the Lady Indians. Suzanne Miller hit a layup and a free throw with 13 seconds remaining on the clock for the final margin. There were six lead changes and five ties in the game.
Lexington Catholic shot 34.8% from the field including three of 12 from the three point line. The Lady Knights connected on 11 of 16 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 15 Madison central turnovers. Madison Central shot 48.6% from the field including three of 12 from beyond the arc. The Lady Indians connected on five of 11 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 10 Lexington Catholic turnovers.
Suzanne Miller led Lexington Catholic with 12 points. Rachel Blake added 10 points and five rebounds. Caroline Lynch chipped in with nine points and seven rebounds. Bailey Browning recorded seven points and four assists.
Shadae Bosley led Madison Central with 11 points, 15 rebounds, and four blocked shots. Hailey Christian added 10 points including two three point baskets. Lindsey Johns chipped in with nine points, three rebounds, and three assists. Raevin Cain recorded eight points, three rebounds, and three assists.
