Madison Southern coach Summer Simmons started the following lineup: 5-11 So. Briana Lanham, 5-4 Jr. Kelley Freeman, 5-10 Jr. Rachel Ramey, 5-6 Jr. Samantha Parms, and 5-10 Jr. Kristen Hayes.  Franklin County coach Joey Thacker countered with 5-8 So. Dasia Kilbourne, 5-8 Fr. Rebecca Cook, 5-9 So. Malaka Frank, 5-4 Sr. Nannilena White, and 5-6 Fr. Princess Stewart.

Madison Southern led 26-25 at halftime but Franklin County rallied in the second half to earn a 60-41 victory.  There were four lead changes and six ties in this game.  Madison Southern shot 50% from the field in the first half but only shot 25% from the field in the second half.  Franklin County shot 36.7% from the field including six of 17 from the three point line.  The Lady Flyers connected on 18 of 29 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 24 Madison Southern turnovers.  Madison Southern shot 35% from the field including one of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Eagles connected on 12 of 15 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 17 Franklin County turnovers.

5-5 So. Anna Arrastia led a balanced Franklin County scoring attack with 15 points including four three point baskets.  Dasia Kilbourne added 12 points.  Nannilina White chipped in with 11 points.  Malaka Frank recorded 10 points, seven rebounds, two blocked shots, and three steals.  Rebecca Cook added six points, six rebounds, and five steals.

Briana Lanham led Madison Southern with 15 points and seven rebounds.  5-5 8th grader Ashlyn Clark added 11 points.  Kristen Hayes recorded nine points and six rebounds.

Danville captured the championship by a score of 68-58 over Mercer County.  Danville raced out to a 27-17 halftime lead but Mercer County clawed their way back to only trail 44-42 after three quarters.  Mercer County took a 53-51 lead midway through the final quarter but Danville closed out the game with a 17-5 run to earn the victory.

5-5 Sr. Essence Grey led Danville with 22 points and seven rebounds.  5-5 Jr. Cameron McPherson also scored 22 points.  5-6 Sr. Laken Grey recorded 14 points and 11 rebounds.  5-4 Jr. Ne Ne Chenault also reached double figures in rebounds with 10.

5-7 8th grader Seygan Robbins led Mercer County with 24 points.  Heidi Huffman added 10 points.

Mercer County trailed 23-13 after the first quarter but utilized their full-court pressure to take a 36-34 lead at halftime on their way to a 79-68 victory.  The Lady Titans could not afford to let Southwestern turn it into a half court game because of the decided size advantage they have in the paint.  5-7 Fr. Lyric Houston and 5-7 8th grader Seygan Robbins led Mercer County with 21 points each.  5-5 Jr. Heidi Huffman added 16 points including five three point baskets.

5-9 Jr. Adison Corder led Southwestern with 30 points.  6-1 So. Elisabeth Latham added 15 points.

Coach Judie Mason’s Danville Lady Admirals utilized their speed to eventually subdue a determined Wayne County team by a score of 54-46.  Danville led 18-8 after the first quarter but Coach Allen Burchett’s Lady Cardinals refused to fold and trailed 26-25 at halftime.  Danville pushed the advantage to seven; 40-33 after three quarters.  Wayne County cut the deficit to three points; 40-37 before Danville made the final surge to earn the victory.  Danville held a 41% to 33% in field goal shooting and actually held an advantage in rebounds over the Lady Cardinals tonight.

5-5 Jr. Cameron McPherson led Danville with 27 points including five three point baskets.  5-4 Fr. Alyvia Walker added 10 points.  5-4 Jr. Ne Ne Chenault chipped in with eight points and eight rebounds.  5-5 Sr. Essence Grey recorded eight points and eight rebounds.

5-7 Sr. Sydney Hicks led Wayne County with 13 points including three three point baskets.  6-0 So. Bethany Peyton added 11 points and 5-7 Sr. Jamie Roberts also reached double figures with 10 points.

Mercy Academy coach Keith Baisch started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Kathryn Gross, 5-8 So. Erin Muthler, 6-0 Jr. Malerie Martin, 5-3 So. Jessica Laemmle, and 5-7 Jr. Hannah Bewley.  Butler coach Larry Just countered with 5-10 Sr. Danielle Lawrence, 5-8 So. Allison Just, 5-11 Jr. Miyah Casey, 5-2 Fr. Breia Torrens, and 5-6 Fr. Jaelynn Penn.

Butler pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Mercy Academy 55-47 in a game that had 12 lead changes and eight ties.  Mercy Academy lost the rebounding battle 42-23 and was hampered by the fact that Malerie Martin was limited to 3:13 minutes of playing time due to a knee injury.  Butler shot 40.5% from the field including two of 11 from the three point line.  The Bearettes connected on 19 of 28 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 20 Mercy Academy turnovers.  Mercy Academy shot 34.8% from the field including five of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Jaguars connected on 10 of 18 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 26 Butler turnovers.

Danielle Lawrence led Butler with 14 points and four steals.  Jaelynn Penn added 11 points and eight rebounds.  5-8 Fr. Janna Lewis chipped in with nine points and five rebounds.  Miyah Casey recorded eight points, five rebounds, and three blocked shots.

Hannah Bewley led Mercy Academy with 18 points including four three point baskets.  Jessica Laemmle added 13 points.

Mercy Academy trailed 29-19 in the second quarter but buoyed by a 17-6 advantage in the third quarter rallied to defeat North Bullitt by a score of 64-56.  Mercy Academy shot 445 from the field including five of 12 from the three point line.  The Jaguars connected on 15 of 18 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 25 North Bullitt turnovers.  North Bullitt shot 39.5% from the field including three of nine from beyond the arc.  The Lady Eagles connected on 19 of 28 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 20 Mercy Academy turnovers.

Hannah Bewley led Mercy Academy with 24 points including three three point baskets and five rebounds.  Malerie Martin added 14 points, eight rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals.

Katie Downey led North Bullitt with 16 points including two three point baskets and three steals.  5-10 Fr. Lauren Deel added 12 points and six rebounds.  Savannah Morrison recorded nine points, nine rebounds, and three steals.

DaiJia Ruffin led Sacred Heart with 24 points and eight rebounds.  Raven Merriweather added 12 points.

Raven Merriweather led Sacred Heart Academy with 21 points including 13 of 16 free throws and pulled down six rebounds.  DaiJia Ruffin added 18 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, and three steals.  Gretchen Samsel chipped in with 13 points including three three point baskets.

Logan Calvert, 5-7 Jr. Taylor Jackson, 6-1 So. I’Liyah Green, 5-5 Jr. Denise Buckel, and 5-2 Sr. Alex Gainey.

Ballard defeated Male by a score of 58-31.  Ballard shot 56.5% from the field including one of five from the three point line.  The Lady Bruins connected on five of eight free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 21 Male turnovers.  Male shot 23.6% from the field including one of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Bulldogs connected on four of seven free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored five points off 19 Ballard turnovers.

Javonna Layfield led Ballard with 21 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists, three blocked shots, and three steals.  Kiana Richardson added 10 points and eight rebounds.  Briana Mishler chipped in with nine points.

I’Liyah Green led Male with 10 points, nine rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Logan Calvert added seven points and six rebounds.
