Jacksonville State dominated play today with a 34-0 victory over Eastern Kentucky University.  Jacksonville State recorded 24 first downs and 5-7 yards of total offense.  They were penalized 10 times for 90 yards and lost a fumble.  Eastern Kentucky recorded 10 first downs and 175 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized five times for 50 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Miles Jones led Jacksonville State’s ground game with 110 yards on 18 carries.  Troymaine Pope carried the ball 14 times for 37 yards and a touchdown.  Eli Jenkins completed 23 of 32 passes for 324 yards and two touchdowns.  Josh Barge caught nine passes for 158 yards and two touchdowns.  Markis Merrill added five receptions for 101 yards.  Josh Barge returned four punts for 47 yards with a long return of 19 yards.  Joel McCandless led the defense with five solo and five assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards.  Brandon Bender added two solo and five assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.  Dawson Wells recorded four solo and two assisted tackles and returned an interception 48 yards for a touchdown.

Ethan Thomas led Eastern Kentucky’s ground game with 47 yards on six carries.  Bennie Coney completed eight of 21 passes for 52 yards with one interception.  Kyle Romano completed three of five passes for 35 yards.  Bryan Green caught four passes for 18 yards.  Devin Borders added three receptions for 16 yards.  Ben Madon recorded two receptions for 41 yards.  Keith Wrzuszczak punted 11 times for a 50.2 average with a long punt of 75 yards with six punts inside the 20 yard line.  Kobie Grace led the defense with seven solo and three assisted tackles.  Trey Thomas added two solo and eight assisted tackles.  Chris Kelly chipped in with six solo and one assisted tackles.  Noah Spence recorded three solo and four assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards and recovered a fumble.

CAL dominated tonight in a 27-0 victory over Franklin County.  CAL recorded 14 first downs and 302 yards of total offense.  The Centurions were penalized twice for 18 yards and had two interceptions.  Franklin County recorded four first downs and 62 yards of total offense.  The Flyers were penalized three times for 20 yards, lost a fumble and had a pass intercepted.

Tanner Lopez led CAL’s ground game with 61 yards on eight carries.  Tanner Palin carried the ball five times for 26 yards.  A. Thompson added 25 yards on 11 carries.  Milton Wright carried the ball three times for 22 yards and two touchdowns.  Evan Boggs completed seven of eight passes for 50 yards with one interception.  Milton Wright completed five of six passes for 95 yards and a touchdown.  Austin Carr completed two of five passes for 23 yards with one interception.  Clay Davis caught six passes for 133 yards and a touchdown.  N. Olsofka led the defense with five solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.  A. Palombino added four solo tackles.  Clay Davis recorded four solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an eight yard loss and added an interception he returned for 29 yards.  Jake Paulson added two solo tackles for losses totaling 22 yards and a fumble recovery he returned 10 yards.

Jhanny Rodriguez led Franklin County’s ground game with 21 yards on two carries.  Denzell Vance carried the ball eight times for 16 yards.  Barrett Sanderson completed 10 of 12 passes for 32 yards with one interception.  Landon Hurst caught two passes for 11 yards.  Zack Janca led the defense with seven solo tackles with three of his losses resulting in losses totaling seven yards.  Jhanny Rodriguez added six solo tackles and intercepted a pass.

Powell County rallied from a 17-7 deficit in the second quarter to defeat Lexington Christian Academy by a score of 28-23.  Powell County recorded 14 first downs and 394 yards of total offense.  They were penalized four times for 30 yards.  Lexington Christian Academy recorded 21 first downs and 450 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized six times for 40 yards and had two interceptions.

Lane Rogers led Powell County’s ground game with 184 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries.  Isaac Harrison carried the ball 24 times for 95 yards and two touchdowns.  Jon Brooks completed five of eight passes for 65 yards.  Nate Skidmore completed his only pass for 65 yards.  Lane Rogers caught three passes for 100 yards.  Nathan Brooks led the defense with six solo and six assisted tackles.  Nate Skidmore added five solo and eight assisted tackles.  Ryan Carmichael recorded four solo and 10 assisted tackles.  Elijah Oertli and Isaac Harrison each intercepted a pass.

Dillon Wheatley led Lexington Christian Academy’s ground game with 162 yards and a touchdown on 32 carries.  Brayden Miller completed 22 of 37 passes for 261 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions.  Ryan Stucky caught 11 passes for 111 yards.  Caelan Lebryk added three receptions for 54 yards.  Drayden Burton recorded five receptions for 45 yards and two touchdowns.  Kyle Paske added two receptions for 45 yards.  Clay Elliot and Wade Drake led the defense with four solo and seven assisted tackles each.  Brett Wilkins recorded one solo and 10 assisted tackles.

A combination of missing starters due to injuries and five turnovers proved to be too much for Collins to overcome in a 36-7 loss to Anderson County.  Collins turned over the ball in their first two possessions which led to two quick scores and the Bearcats led 14-0 with 10:17 left in the first quarter.  Anderson County recorded 14 first downs and 295 yards of total offense.  The Bearcats were penalized four times for 30 yards and lost a fumble.  Collins recorded six first downs and 99 yards of total offense.  They were penalized three times for 15 yards, lost three fumbles and had two passes intercepted.

Tyler Peters led Anderson County’s ground game with 104 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.  Gunner Gillis carried the ball 10 times for 81 yards and two touchdowns.  Brydon Labhart added 31 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.  Gunner Gillis completed seven of 11 passes for 60 yards and a touchdown.  JP Garmon caught five passes for 36 yards.  Tyler Peters added one reception for 24 yards and a touchdown.  Bryce Edmondson led the defense with five solo and one assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards.  Andrew Chilton added four solo and two assisted tackles.  Brydon Labhart recorded four solo and one assisted tackles and Ian Chilton added four solo tackles.  JD Crawford and JP Garmon intercepted on pass each and Tyler Green, Gunner Lee, and Caleb Boyles each recovered a fumble.

JR Lucas led Collins’ ground game with 46 yards on 11 carries.  JR Lucas completed 14 of 22 passes for 57 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions.  Payton Hawk caught five passes for 20 yards.  Dylan Siler added three receptions for 23 yards and a touchdown.  Quinten Murphy led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 5 yard loss.  Zachary Smith and Sicari Toole each recorded three solo and two assisted tackles and Toole recovered a fumble.  Miles McGibben added two solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 16 yard loss.

Boyle County defeated Paul Laurence Dunbar by a score of 21-14.  Boyle County recorded 11 first downs and 290 yards of total offense.  The Rebels were penalized 10 times for 130 yards and had three passes intercepted.  Dunbar recorded 14 first downs and 223 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized eight times for 75 yards and lost two fumbles.

Cory Swanner led Boyle County’s ground game with 97 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries.  Josiah Robbins carried the ball twice for 21 yards.  Josiah Robbins completed 13 of 25 passes for 170 yards and one touchdown with three interceptions.  Eric Brown caught five passes for 56 yards.  Mack Cox added four receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown.  Nick Roney led the defense with eight solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards and recovered a fumble.  Austin Bodner added five solo and five assisted tackles.  Eric Brown recorded five solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 14 yards.

LaDarius Morton led Dunbar’s ground game with 96 yards on 11 carries.  Jefferson Harkless carried the ball 27 times for 90 yards and a touchdown.  DeRante Sanders added 20 yards and a touchdown on five carries.  Kendall Roberts completed one of nine passes for four yards.  Dontell Brown caught one pass for four yards.  DeRante Sanders led the defense with seven solo and five assisted tackles.  Carter Hayslett added five solo and three assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Tyron Harris recorded two solo and four assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.  Maurice Carter and Braxton Edge also recorded interceptions.

Southwestern defeated Southwestern by a score of 43-14.  Lexington Catholic recorded 12 first downs and 363 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized seven times for 61 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Southwestern recorded 16 first downs and 275 yards of total offense.  The Warriors were penalized five times for 55 yards, lost three fumbles and had a pass intercepted.

Andy Thompson led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 138 yards and two touchdowns on four carries.  Jaylen Jones carried the ball seven times for 91 yards and a touchdown.  Kirk Fagot completed seven of 12 passes for 76 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  JJ Ogbogu caught four passes for 53 yards and a touchdown.  Donovan Morris added three receptions for 38 yards.  Chris Thompson caught a 28 yard touchdown pass.  A. Lauterbach led the defense with seven solo and three assisted tackles.  Jack Fagot added seven solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards and recovered two fumbles.  Zack Newcomb and Andy Hickey each recorded five solo tackles.  Eli Mitchell scored on a 42 yard interception return.

Chandler Gover led Southwestern’s ground game with 104 yards on 16 carries.  William Lemmon carried the ball 12 times for 44 yards and a touchdown.  Floyd Fannin carried the ball four times for 41 yards.  Brandon Pruitt completed five of 12 passes for 77 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Treavor Brock caught one pass for 44 yards.  Bobby Allen caught one pass for 18 yards and a touchdown.  Chandler Gover led the defense with three solo and one assisted tackles.  William Lemmon added three solo tackles.

Henry Clay’s Joquise Buford scored on a 27 yard interception return and Tyven McWhorter scored on a 100 yard interception return to spark Henry Clay to a 49-28 victory over Campbell County.  Henry Clay recorded 18 first downs and 398 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized eight times for 49 yards and lost a fumble.  Campbell County recorded 19 first downs and 340 yards of total offense.  They were penalized twice for 56 yards and had three passes intercepted.

Joquise Buford led Henry Clay’s ground game with 117 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries.  Davonte Robinson carried the ball four times for 82 yards and a touchdown.  Austin Bledsoe carried the ball four times for 16 yards and two touchdowns.  CJ Tackett completed five of nine passes for 45 yards.  Marcus Tyler completed six of six passes for 52 yards.  Bry Berezowitz caught four passes for 61 yards.  Austin Bledsoe added two receptions for 17 yards.  Davonte Robinson led the defense with 10 solo and three assisted tackles.  R. Plessinger completed eight of 18 passes for 179 yards and a touchdown with three interceptions.  Noc Mayer caught three passes for 95 yards.  Andrew Crowder added three receptions for 52 yards.  Eric Dean recorded two receptions for 32 yards and a touchdown.  Hunter Gasdorf returned four kickoffs for 135 yards with a long return of 55 yards.  C. Korrion Crier led Madison Central’s ground game with 84 yards and a touchdown on five carries.  Johan Williams carried the ball 21 times for 59 yards.  Jabari Huguely added 34 yards on nine carries.  Zach Hardin completed six of eight passes for 71 yards and a touchdown.  John Williams caught two passes for 30 yards.  Lawrence Lee Jr. caught two passes for 18 yards.  Evin Harris caught a 14 yard touchdown pass.  KJ Long led the defense with seven solo and eight assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards, forced two fumbles, and recovered a fumble.  Korrion Crier and Kenton Edwards each recorded four solo and five assisted tackles.
