Simon Kenton coach Jeff Stowers started the following lineup: 6-0 So. Megan Buckner, 5-8 So. Allyson Niece, 6-2 Jr. Madi Meier, 5-3 Jr. Kendyl Gilliam, and 5-4 8th Grade Morgan Stamper.  East Carter coach Hager Easterling countered with 5-10 Jr. Milena Clarke, 5-8 Jr. Haley Hall, 6-0 Jr. Bailee Brainard, 5-6 Jr. Kristen Mayo, and 5-6 Sr. Mandy Langstaff.

 

Simon Kenton defeated East Carter by a score of 70-51.  Simon Kenton shot 57.5% from the field including four of nine from the three point line.  The Lady Pioneers connected on 20 of 26 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 15 East Carter turnovers.  East Carter shot 37.8% from the field including five of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Raiders connected on 12 of 22 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 15 Simon Kenton turnovers.

 

Allyson Niece had a “monster” game for Simon Kenton with 33 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and three steals.  Niece was 10 of 15 from the field including two of three from beyond the arc, and 11 of 12 free throws.  Morgan Stamper added nine points.  Kendyl Gilliam and Madi Meier each scored seven points.

 

Haley Hall led East Carter with 13 points including two three point baskets.  Bailee Brainard added nine points and four rebounds.  Kristen Mayo recorded eight points, three assists, and two steals.

Paul Laurence Dunbar pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Trinity by a score of 71-60.  Dunbar shot 53.7% from the field including three of eight from the three point line.  The Bulldogs connected on 24 of 30 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored six points off four Trinity turnovers.  Trinity shot 39.2% from the field including 13 of 23 from beyond the arc.  The Shamrocks connected on seven of eight free throws, pulled down 17 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 10 Dunbar turnovers.

 

Taveion Hollingsworth led Dunbar with 28 points including 12 of 13 free throws and seven rebounds.  Darius Williams was named Tournament MVP and added 20 points and six rebounds.  Justin Kelley chipped in with nine points and seven rebounds.

 

Jacob King led Trinity with 21 points including five three point baskets.  Lucas Burkman added 14 points including three three point baskets.  Gabriel Schmitt chipped in with 10 points and LJ Harris pulled down eight rebounds.

Elizabethtown coach Tim Mudd started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Taylor Thomas. 5-8 Jr. Ramsey Deaton, 6-2 Sr. Erin Boley, 5-7 Jr. Jada Stinson, and 5-7 Sr. Rachel Warden.  Butler coach Larry Just countered with 5-9 Sr. Allison Just, 5-8 Jr. Tasia Jeffries, 5-10 Sr. Micaiah Bowden, 5-4 Jr. Breia Torrens, and 5-9 Jr. Jaelynn Penn.

 

Elizabethtown came out firing on all cylinders led by Erin Boley and easily defeated a very talented Butler team by a score of 60-37.  Elizabethtown shot 56.7% from the field including three of eight from the three point line.  The Lady Panthers connected on 23 of 25 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 12 Butler turnovers.  Butler shot 33.3% from the field including four of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Bearettes connected on three of six free throws, pulled down 17 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 13 Elizabethtown turnovers.

 

Erin Boley led Elizabethtown with 39 points and 10 rebounds and was named Tournament MVP.  Boley was 11 of 15 from the field including three of three from beyond the arc and 14 of 15 free throws.  Taylor Thomas added eight points and six rebounds.  Jada Stinson chipped in with six points.

 

Jaelynn Penn led Butler with 14 points including two three point baskets.  5-5 Jr. Teri Goodlett added eight points and Tasia Jeffries chipped in with six points.

Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III started the following lineup; 6-0 Jr. Cameron Greenup, 6-0 Sr. Harrison Lane, 6-6 Sr. Ross Jenkins, 5-9 Sr. TJ Downey, and 5-10 Sr. Jaelin Jenkins.  Southwestern coach Steve Wright countered with 6-3 So. Danny Butt, 6-1 So. Logan Dykes, 6-5 So. Steven Fitzgerald, 5-9 Jr. Peyton Gover, and 5-9 Jr. Peyton Cundiff.

 

Southwestern led 35-19 in the second quarter and weathered a rally by Lafayette, buoyed by their three point shooting to earn an 82-76 victory.  Southwestern shot 50.9% from the field including five of 17 from the three point line.  The Warriors connected on 19 of 26 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 11 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 45.8% from the field including 12 of 31 from beyond the arc.  The Generals connected on 10 of 14 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored seven points off six Southwestern turnovers.

 

Steven Fitzgerald led Southwestern with 27 points, nine rebounds, five assists, three blocked shots, and two steals.  Peyton Gover was named Tournament MVP and added 21 points including three three point baskets and five rebounds.  Peyton Cundiff recorded eight points, seven rebounds, and four assists.  Danny Butt dished out six assists.

 

Ross Jenkins led Lafayette with 19 points, 12 rebounds, and seven blocked shots.  Cameron Greenup added 14 points including four three point baskets, three assists, and three steals.  Harrison Lane and TJ Downey chipped in with 11 and 10 points respectively.

Isaiah Hunt.  Male coach Willie Feldhaus countered with 6-6 Sr. Alex Cook, 5-10 Sr. Corey Bowman, 6-5 Jr. Hogan Brownley, 5-6 Sr. Punchy Watts, and 5-10 Sr. Deondrai Williams.

 

Male trailed 32-26 at halftime but rallied in the second half to defeat Lexington Christian Academy by a score of 70-61.  Male shot 46.6% from the field including four of 15 from the three point line.  The Bulldogs connected on 12 of 14 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 14 LCA turnovers.  Male held a 40-14 advantage in points in the paint to negate LCA’s 27-12 advantage in three point points.  LCA shot 40.4% from the field including nine of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on 14 of 18 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored eight points off eight Male turnovers.

 

Hogan Brownley led Male with 23 points and nine rebounds.  Punchy Watts added 16 points, six rebounds, and three assists.  Deondrai Williams chipped in with 11 points.  Alex Cook recorded nine points and five rebounds.

 

Tre King led LCA with 24 points, eight rebounds, and five blocked shots.  Trevor Hill added 15 points on five three point shots and pulled down five rebounds.  Kyle Rode recorded 14 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists.

Lafayette outscored Lexington Christian Academy 21-8 in the third quarter on their way to a 79-65 victory.  Lafayette shot 41.9% from the field including 11 of 30 from the three point line.  The Generals connected on 16 of 23 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 29 points off 20 LCA turnovers.  LCA shot 35.9% from the field including four of 23 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on 15 of 18 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored seven points off 18 Lafayette turnovers.

 

Harrison Lane led Lafayette with 26 points including six three point baskets.  Ross Jenkins added 18 points, 14 rebounds, and four blocked shots.  5-10 Jr. Jajuante Carpenter recorded 10 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.  6-0 Jr. Cameron Greenup chipped in with 10 points, six rebounds, and three assists.

 

Tre King led Lexington Christian with 27 points and nine rebounds.  Kyle Rode added 16 points, nine rebounds, and five assists.  Trevor Hill recorded 11 points, five rebounds, and three assists.

Lafayette pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Thornton Fractional North by a score of 75-65.  Lafayette shot 38.8% from the field including five of 23 from the three point line.  The Generals connected on 32 of 42 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 23 TFN turnovers.  TFN shot 42.6% from the field including three of eight from beyond the arc.  The Meteors connected on 16 of 34 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 21 Lafayette turnovers.  There were a total of 58 fouls called tonight and a total of 76 free throws attempted in the game.

 

Ross Jenkins led Lafayette with 15 points, 13 rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Jenkins was five of five from the field and five of six from the free throw line.  6-0 Jr. Cameron Greenup added 13 points.  TJ Downey and Harrison Lane recorded 12 and 11 points respectively.

 

6-2 Jr. Jadacus Dixon led TFN with 20 points including three three point baskets, 13 rebounds, four assists, and six steals.  Joel Deere added 10 points, five rebounds, and six assists.  Michael Williams and 6-4 Jr. Terrell Porter also scored 10 points each.

Pearce Dalton, and 6-2 Sr. Trevor Hill.  Valley coach Joseph Harris countered with 6-4 So. Curt Lewis, 6-3 Jr. Raekwon Evans, 6-4 Jr. Eric George, 5-8 So. Tre Anderson, and 5-8 Sr. John Brewer.

 

The score was tied 45-45 after three quarters but Lexington Christian Academy pulled away in the final quarter to earn a 63-56 victory over Valley.  The score was tied six times and there were 16 lead changes in the game.  LCA shot 46.2% from the field including four of 13 from the three point line.  The Eagles connected on 11 of 19 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 14 Valley turnovers.  LCA held a 14-2 advantage on second chance points. Valley shot 40.4% from the field including eight of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Vikings connected on 10 of 14 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 19 LCA turnovers.

 

Kyle Rode led LCA with 22 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists.  Tre King added 18 points, 15 rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Trevor Hill recorded 11 points, four rebounds, and three assists.

 

Tre Anderson led Valley with 16 points including four three point baskets.  Eric George added 14 points, five rebounds, and three assists.  6-1 So.
