Rick Bolus’ 37th Annual High Potential Blue Chip Basketball Camp

Top 20 High School All-Star Game June 29, 2016

The Gray Team defeated the Gold Team by a score of 65-53.  6-4 Jr. Ethan Haynes Boone County Florence KY was named MVP of the Gray Team and scored 20 points.  Haynes is a smooth operator with all around skills and plays under control.  6-0 Sr. Noah Cunningham North Hopkins Madisonville KY added 14 points.  I have seen Cunningham shoot better but he impresses with his athleticism and has a quick release on his shot.  6-0 Sr. George Haynes Our Lady of Mercy Fayetteville GA recorded 12 points tonight.  Haynes is a slasher who can get to the rim.

5-7 Sr. Terrell Wilson Mount Juliet TN was named MVP for the Gold Team and scored 20 points including six three point baskets.  Wilson’s range on his jump shot was very impressive and he showed confidence in his ability to score.  6-0 Sr. Kel’Shawn Mozee Butler Louisville KY added 13 points including three three point baskets and plays well above the rim.  The atmosphere was somber for this game as 6-5 Fr. Ksuan Casey Hopkins County Central Madisonville KY injured his leg attempting to dunk before the game and was transported from the facility by ambulance.  Casey began the camp in the Junior Division but was rapidly moved up to the High School Division where he was selected as an All-Star.  Best of luck to this young man and hoping for a speedy recovery.

2nd 20 All-Star High School Game June 29, 2016

6-0 So. Tyler Beauchamp Kingsford MI hit a three point basket at the buzzer to give the Gold Team a 65-64 victory over the Gray Team.  Beauchamp was named Co-MVP of the Gold Team and led the victors with 13 points including three three point baskets.  6-3 Fr. Noah Courtney was named as the other Co-MVP of the Gold Team and added eight points.  Courtney’s potential is off the charts as he is long, athletic, and has range on his shot and is just beginning his high school career.  6-0 Sr. Caleb Miller Madison Southern Berea KY was also impressive and also scored 13 points including three three point baskets.

6-5 Sr. Charlie Cochran Collins Shelbyville KY was named MVP of the Gray Team and scored 11 points and impressed with his ability to score, rebound, and makes everyone around him better.  5-10 Jr. Taylor Smith Boyd County Ashland KY also scored 11 points.

Rick Bolus 37th Annual High Potential Blue Chip Basketball Camp

Junior All-Star Game June 29, 2016

This was an exciting well played game that the Gray Team won by a score of 55-53 on an offensive rebound and put back at the buzzer by 5-7 Fr. Blasin Moore Hopkins County Central Madisonville KY.  Moore scored nine points and was named MVP for the Gray Team.  Keshawn Stone 5-7 Fr. Hopkins County Central Madisonville KY led the victors with 11 points and displayed great quickness in the open court.  6-3 Fr. Jack Cooper Mason OH added nine points and displayed a complete all around game.  5-1 8th Grader Jake Whitlock Spencer County Taylorsville KY recorded eight points and displayed nice range on his shot and a high basketball IQ.  6-0 Fr. Vontray Nickerson Mt. Morris MI was named Camp MVP for the Junior Division showed his athleticism with some nifty moves around the basket and rebounded well but only scored five points tonight

6-3 Fr. Kenny White Hopkins County Central Madisonville was named MVP for the Gold Team and scored 10 points.  White possesses good natural ability and the size necessary to achieve stardom.  5-11 Fr. Koby Thomas Oldham County Buckner KY, 6-3 Fr. Anthony O’Neal KY Country Day Louisville KY, and 6-8 Fr. Preston Murrell John Hardin Elizabethtown KY scored eight points each.  There is nothing fancy about Murrell except his results.  He utilizes his size, sets picks and screens, works hard in the paint and works the boards.

This was an enjoyable game to watch and based on potential Hopkins County Central Madisonville KY should be fun to watch in the future as they were represented by the trio of Blasin Moore, Keshawn Stone, and Kenny White in this game.
