Bryan Station 28  Madison Central 25QB Jalen Burbage completed 21 of 29 passes for 278 yards and three touchdowns and carried the ball 21 times for 120 yards and a touchdown to lead Bryan Station.

 

Eastern 33  Paul Laurence Dunbar 20 – Eastern scored touchdowns on two interception returns, one fumble recovery return and two safeties.

 

Covington Catholic 21  Lexington Catholic 20 – Lexington Catholic missed a conversion kick with 13 seconds left in the game.  AJ Mayer completed 20 of 36 passes for 242 yards to lead CovCath and Kirk Fagot completed 18 of 33 passes for 284 yards and three touchdowns to lead LexCath.

Trinity 37  Male 34 – Male missed a 48 yard field goal attempt at the horn.  TRINITY Joven Smith carried the ball 14 times for 122 yards, Spencer Blackburn completed 11 of 16 passes for 207 yards and carried the ball 16 times for 100 yards and Noah Ellison caught seven passes for 152 yards and two touchdowns.  MALE Tony Thomas completed nine of 13 passes for 281 yards and five touchdowns and Ethan Bibb caught five passes for 173 yards and four touchdowns.

Lexington Catholic missed a conversion kick with 13 seconds left in the game and Covington Catholic eked out a 21-20 victory tonight as Lexington Catholic only converted on one of six red-zone opportunities.  Covington Catholic recorded 20 first downs and 382 yards of total offense.  They were penalized nine times for 117 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Lexington Catholic recorded 26 first downs and 491 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized five times for 57 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Casey McGinness led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 109 yards and one touchdown on 19 carries.  Anthony Best carried the ball three times for 20 yards and a touchdown.  AJ Mayer completed 20 of 36 passes for 242 yards with one interception.  Josh Newman caught seven passes for 83 yards.  Dave Reisiger added five receptions for 81 yards.  Ben France led the defense with seven solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a nine yard loss.  Anthony Best added six solo tackles.  Kameron Butler scored on an 80 yard interception return.

Dameon Jones led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 170 yards on 24 carries.  Kirk Fagot carried the ball nine times for 29 yards.  Kirk Fagot completed 18 of 33 passes for 284 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.  Ben Buchignani caught 10 passes for 132 yards and a touchdown.  Nathan Schnurr added five receptions for 108 yards and a touchdown.  Jack Fagot caught a 17 yard touchdown pass.  Jack Fagot led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Kevin Brown added six solo tackles.  Sid Sharp recorded five solo and one assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards.  Dylan Coulter added four solo and one assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 14 yards.

Eastern Kentucky University took advantage of eight Pikeville turnovers and scored three touchdowns on interception returns in a 55-14 victory.  Eastern Kentucky recorded 22 first downs and 387 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized 13 times for 131 yards, lost two fumbles, and had one pass intercepted.  Pikeville recorded 21 first downs and 263 yards of total offense.  They were penalized five times for 32 yards, lost four fumbles, and had four passes intercepted.

Jared Sanders led Eastern’s ground game with 100 yards on 16 carries.  Henry Enyenihi carried the ball 10 times for 63 yards and a touchdown.  James Smith added 54 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.  Tyler Swafford completed seven of 12 passes for 73 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  James Smith completed four of five passes for 30 yards.  Dan Crimmins caught two passes for 29 yards.  Alex Cabrera added two receptions for 19 yards.  Ryan Markush caught a 13 yard touchdown pass.  Jeffrey Canady led the defense with four solo and six assisted tackles.  Dwight Williams added two solo and eight assisted tackles.  Kagen Skidmore recorded three solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards.  Kiante Northington, Luder Jean Louis, and Corey Glass scored on interception returns.  Avery Pitt added two solo and two assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards and recovered a fumble.  LaJuan Smith, Ben Bascom, and Kamaree’ Walden also recovered fumbles.

Xondre Willis led Pikeville’s ground game with 71 yards on 17 carries.  Jamar Kirksey carried the ball 16 times for 39 yards.  Sani Warren completed seven of eight passes for 65 yards.  Bowen Smith completed one of 11 passes for 16 yards and a touchdown with three interceptions.  Shannon Patrick completed four of eight passes for 79 yards with one interception.  Braxton Whitmore caught four passes for 44 yards.  Austin Pray added three receptions for 69 yards.  Anfernee Brown caught a 16 yard touchdown pass.  Jack Hopkins led the defense with six solo and six assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Darius Greene added seven solo and three assisted tackles.  Derek Harris recorded six solo and three assisted tackles.  Jordan Mattingly scored on a 16 yard fumble recovery return.

Boyle County raced out to a 41-0 lead on their way to a 41-13 victory over Anderson County.  Boyle County recorded 20 first downs and 374 yards of total offense.  The Rebels were penalized five times for 40 yards and lost a fumble.  Anderson County recorded 12 first downs and 273 yards of total offense.  The Bearcats were penalized six times for 43 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Tanner Crawford led Boyle County’s ground game with 71 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.  Trintin Ashburn carried the ball eight times for 60 yards.  Evan Tarter carried the ball once for a 16 yard touchdown run.  Sam Tiller completed 10 of 14 passes for 178 yards and three touchdowns.  Reed Lanter completed six of 12 passes for 70 yards.  Reese Smith caught three passes for 99 yards and a touchdown.  Kaden Gervacio added three receptions for 22 yards and a touchdown.  Hagen Wilburn added an 11 yard touchdown reception.  Zach Hodge led the defense with five solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an eight yard loss and intercepted a pass he returned 13 yards.  Nick Walker added four solo and two assisted tackles.  Kagen Jackson recorded four solo and one assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.  Evan Tarter added three solo tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 40 yards.

Bryndon Labhart led Anderson County’s ground game with 83 yards and a touchdown on six carries.  Tyler Peters carried the ball 11 times for 43 yards.  Tyler Peters completed nine of 18 passes for 119 yards and one touchdown with one interception.  Dalton Lewis caught four passes for 46 yards.  Zach Labhart caught a 40 yard touchdown pass.  Andrew Lykins led the defense with six solo tackles.  Andrew Chilton also recorded six solo tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 16 yards.  Bryndon Labhart added four solo and one assisted tackles.

Eastern outscored Dunbar 20-0 in the third quarter on their way to a 33-20.  Dunbar led 14-6 after the first quarter and 14-13 at halftime but Eastern scored two touchdowns on interceptions, one on a fumble return, and two safeties to take advantage of mistakes to earn the victory.  Eastern recorded 15 first downs and 233 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized 10 times for 81 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.  Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded 19 first downs and 270 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized nine times for 80 yards, lost a fumble, and had three passes intercepted.

Greg Johnson led Eastern’s ground game with 67 yards on 18 carries.  Bryce Williams carried the ball three times for 20 yards and a touchdown.  JD Berger completed 17 of 27 passes for 133 yards with one interception.  Lawrence Webb caught seven passes for 61 yards.  Bryce Williams had four receptions for 30 yards.  Scott Humpich led the defense with five solo and three assisted tackles.  Kris Cambron added five solo and one assisted tackles and scored on a 27 yard interception return.  CJ Kenworthy also scored on a 14 yard interception return and D. Washington scored on a 48 yard fumble recovery return.

Alex Bard led Dunbar’s ground game with 55 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.  Gavin Bugg completed 14 of 28 passes for 186 yards and two touchdowns with three interceptions.  Tre Homer caught seven passes for 108 yards and two touchdowns.  Markel Yeast added three receptions for 48 yards.  Luke Hernandez led the defense with three solo and six assisted tackles.  S. Bobadilla added two solo and six assisted tackles.

Lexington Christian Academy rolled up 567 yards of total offense in a 55-22 victory over Estill County.  LCA recorded 20 first downs and 567 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized 10 times for 90 yards.  Estill County recorded 12 first downs and 230 yards of total offense.  They were penalized three times for 20 yards and lost a fumble.

Dillon Wheatley led LCA’s ground game with 92 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries.  Logan Nieves carried the ball six times for 52 yards and two touchdowns.  Brayden Miller completed 10 of 13 passes for 176 yards and a touchdown.  Logan Nieves completed 12 of 16 passes for 220 yards and three touchdowns.  Caelan Lebryk caught seven passes for 85 yards.  Dillon Wheatley added four receptions for 83 yards and a touchdown.  Drayden Burton recorded four receptions for 82 yards and two touchdowns.  Jed Green caught two passes for 75 yards and a touchdown.  Blane Hardin led the defense with three solo and seven assisted tackles.  Kaleb Bolton also recorded three solo and seven assisted tackles.  Will Mayo and Clay Elliot each recorded two solo and eight assisted tackles.

Blake Francisco led Estill County’s ground game with 93 yards and two touchdowns on six carries.  Dawson Bingham carried the ball 22 times for 67 yards.  Logan Beckler recorded 64 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.  Estill County did not attempt a pass in this game.  Dawson Bingham led the defense with nine solo and four assisted tackles.  Austin Salyer added four solo and two assisted tackles.

Cincinnati traditional powerhouse Cincinnati Elder traveled south tonight to beat one of Kentucky’s best Scott County by a score of 20-14.  Elder recorded 16 first downs and 364 yards of total offense.  They were penalized seven times for 60 yards.  Scott County recorded 18 first downs and 305 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized five times for 40 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Jack Mazza led Elder’s ground game with 73 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries.  Michael Bittner carried the ball six times for 49 yards.  Danny Nieman completed 16 of 23 passes for 243 yards and a touchdown.  Kyle Trischler caught seven passes for 91 yards.  Danny Faillace added four receptions for 72 yards and a touchdown.  Zach Lyons led the defense with eight solo and seven assisted tackles with one interception.  TiAriq Dailey added four solo and six assisted tackles.  Nick Niehaus recorded four solo and five assisted tackles.

Kendrick Hamilton led Scott County’s ground game with 94 yards on 18 carries.  Jacob Burton carried the ball 14 times for 51 yards.  Brice Fryman added 44 yards on nine carries.  Josh Davis completed four of 16 passes for 94 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Sam Sutton caught two passes for 31 yards.  Kendrick Hamilton caught a 59 yard touchdown pass.  Hamilton also returned four kickoffs for 168 yards including a 96 yard return for a touchdown.  Cooper Robb led the defense with four solo and four assisted tackles.  Marvin Davis added four solo and two assisted tackles.

Lafayette rebounded from a lost to Trinity last week by defeating Boone County by a score of 40-13 tonight.  Lafayette recorded 15 first downs and 415 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized 13 times for 147 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  Boone County recorded 19 first downs and 230 yards of total offense.  The Rebels were penalized six times for 45 yards and lost two fumbles.

Walker Wood led Lafayette’s ground game with 62 yards and a touchdown on six carries.  Cameron Morgan carried the ball six times for 53 yards and a touchdown.  Javarius Robinson added 49 yards on two carries.  Walker Wood completed 11 of 21 passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Quinten Brown caught four passes for 53 yards and a touchdown.  Noah Phillips had two receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown.  Matthew Guilfoil added two receptions for 35 yards and Teandre Newcome also caught two passes for 33 yards.  Teandre Newcome returned two punts for 61 yards with a long return of 61 yards for a touchdown.  Newcome also returned two kickoffs for 55 yards.  Dezmon Simpson led the defense with six solo and three assisted tackles with 4.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 37 yards.  Ean Shaw added four solo and seven assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards.  Tejrin McCoy recorded three solo and four assisted tackles.  Brendan Lane and Xavier Douglas each recovered a fumble with Douglas scoring a touchdown on his recovery.

Corstin Cahill led Boone County’s ground game with 87 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries.  Kadon Hardin carried the ball 11 times for 52 yards.  Alex Schwartz completed four of 12 passes for 61 yards and a touchdown.  Rondell Douglas caught two passes for 35 yards and a touchdown.  Michael Gibson and Emmanuel Mutombe each caught one pass for 26 and 19 yards respectively.  Peyton Shoemaker led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles.  Brandon Morgan recorded four solo tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards.  Jacob Cain added four solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.

Brayden Burch threw for four touchdowns to lead Beechwood to a 57-21 victory over Franklin County.  Beechwood recorded 19 first downs and 417 yards of total offense.  They were penalized six times for 31 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Franklin County recorded 15 first downs and 287 yards of total offense.  The Flyers were penalized 11 times for 79 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Aiden Justice led Beechwood’s ground game with 67 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.  Jake Sherron carried the ball once for 31 yards and a touchdown.  Brayden Burch completed 19 of 24 passes for 280 yards and four touchdowns with one interception.  Garrett Ratliff caught five passes for 71 yards.  Daniel Mescher added four receptions for 84 yards and one touchdown.  Logan Castleman added four receptions for 55 yards and three touchdowns.  Aiden Justice returned a kickoff 82 yards for a touchdown.  Jake Sherron led the defense with two solo and eight assisted tackles.  Daniel Mescher added four solo and two assisted tackles.  Dayton Baugh had three solo and two assisted tackles.  Logan Castleman recorded three solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a seven yard loss, recovered a fumble, and intercepted a pass.

Denzel Vance led Franklin County’s ground game with 77 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.  Jerimiah Green added 50 yards on 15 carries.  Jerimiah Green completed 13 of 15 passes for 139 yards and a touchdown.  Tre Simmons caught eight passes for 58 yards and a touchdown.  Taeshawn Graves caught two passes for 41 yards.  Tre Simmons returned four kickoffs for 108 yards with a long return of 55 yards.  Tre Simmons led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles.  Cody Lofton intercepted one pass and returned it 32 yards for a touchdown.

Tates Creek dominated play tonight in a 44-0 shutout victory over Henry Clay.  Tates Creek recorded 14 first downs and 451 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized seven times for 53 yards.  Henry Clay recorded five first downs and 81 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized once for five yards and lost two fumbles.

Laron Warner led Tates Creek’s ground game with 46 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.  Cameron Workman completed 12 of 21 passes for 363 yards and four touchdowns.  Jackson Beerman caught six passes for 161 yards and a touchdown.  Turner Gentry added two receptions for 126 yards and two touchdowns.  Jaden Baird caught a 52 yard touchdown pass.  Xavier Johnson led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles.  Darryl Bell added three solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a seven yard loss.  Cameron Stewart recorded three solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards.  Brody Sellers scored on a 20 yard fumble recovery return.
