Lincoln County coach Jeff Jackson started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Tanner McAninch, 5-10 Jr. Chase Phillips, 6-1 Sr. Carlos Nunez, 5-8 Sr. Noah Young, and 5-9 Sr. Devin Alcorn.  Bryan Station coach Tommy Johnson countered with 6-4 Fr. Nathan Mack, 6-3 Sr. David Demarcus, 6-7 Sr. Braeden Warren, 5-10 Jr. Eric Boone, and 6-1 Jr. Terrance Clayton-Murphy.

 

Lincoln County trailed 48-44 after three quarters but rallied to defeat Bryan Station by a score of 76-69.  Lincoln County shot 54.3% from the field including nine of 12 from the three point line.  The Patriots connected on 17 of 24 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 10 Bryan Station turnovers.  Bryan Station shot 50% from the field including seven of 23 from beyond the arc.  The Defenders connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 12 Lincoln County turnovers.

 

Noah Young led Lincoln County with 25 points including 13 of 16 free throws.  Devin Alcorn added 24 points including five three point baskets.  Chase Phillips chipped in with 13 points.  Tanner McAninch recorded eight points, 11 rebounds, and four assists.

 

Terrance Clayton-Murphy led Bryan Station with 22 points and five steals.  Eric Boone added 15 points, six rebounds, and five assists.  David Demarcus added 12 points including three three point baskets.  Nathan Mack recorded nine points and five rebounds.

Bryce Long.

 

Scott County defeated Lafayette by a score of 94-66.  Scott County shot 52.6% from the field including five of 12 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 29 of 37 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 20 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 42.6% from the field including five of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Generals connected on 15 of 27 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 17 Scott County turnovers.

 

Michael Moreno led Scott County with 39 points, 13 rebounds, and nine blocked shots.  Moreno was 12 of 16 from the field including zero of one from beyond the arc, and 15 of 18 free throws.  Cooper Robb added 19 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  6-1 Jr. Josh Davis chipped in with 11 points.

 

Jajuante Carpenter led Lafayette with 19 points including two three point baskets.  Evan Dreux added 10 points.  Eric Powell recorded six points and eight rebounds.

Lexington Christian Academy pulled away late to defeat Boyle County by a score of 76-55.  LCA shot 47.3% from the field including eight of 23 from the three point line.  The Eagles connected on 16 of 18 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 14 Boyle County turnovers.  Boyle County shot 46.3% from the field including five of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Rebels connected on 12 of 16 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored nine points off seven LCA turnovers.

 

Kyle Rode led LCA with 21 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, six assists, and four steals.  Nathan Harper added 15 points including four three point baskets.  Austin Hall recorded 14 points, nine rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Carter Hendricksen chipped in with 13 points.  Chandler Stewart added 10 points and six assists.

 

Reese Smith led Boyle County with 19 points including two three point baskets.  Bryce Slone added 16 points including three three point baskets.  Will Bramel added 10 points and Jason Alexander recorded eight points, five rebounds, and four assists.

Henry Clay outscored Western Hills 23-6 in the second quarter on their way to a 72-48 victory.  Henry Clay shot 415 from the field including 10 of 26 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on 12 of 16 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 30 points off 26 Western Hills turnovers.  Western Hills shot 37.5% from the field including zero of seven from beyond the arc.  The Wolverines connected on 18 of 28 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 15 Henry Clay turnovers.

 

6-3 So. Quentyn Jackson led Henry Clay with 18 points including three three point baskets.  Justin Mitchell added 11 points and nine rebounds.  5-10 Jr. Jalen Williams recorded 11 points and five rebounds.  Andreus Green chipped in with nine points and Keaston Brown dished out seven assists.

Kiara Pearl.  Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 5-11 Jr. Grace Berger, 5-7 Jr. Kia Sivils, 5-9 Jr. Natalie Fichter, 5-4 So. Ashlee Harris, and 5-7 Jr. Kiki Samsel.

 

Sacred Heart Academy raced out to a 22-6 first quarter lead and was never threatened in an 81-50 victory over Eastern.  Sacred Heart shot 55.6% from the field including nine of 18 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on 12 of 15 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 16 Eastern turnovers.  Sacred Heart held a 48-15 advantage in bench scoring.  Eastern shot 32.2% from the field including four of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Eagles connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 13 Sacred Heart turnovers.

 

5-5 Fr. Erin Toller led Sacred Heart Academy with 25 points including four three point baskets and five rebounds.  Toller was nine of 11 from the field including four of five from beyond the arc, and three of three free throws.  Grace Berger added 11 points and seven rebounds.  6-0 Fr. Kristen Clemons recorded nine points, four rebounds, and five blocked shots. 

 

Mikayla Kinnard led Eastern with 10 points.  Brea Mishler added nine points.  Natalie Collins recorded eight points, seven rebounds, and five assists.

Clay County defeated Hazard by a score of 75-46.  Clay County shot 55.1% from the field including nine of 19 from the three point line.  The Lady Tigers connected on 12 of 14 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and committed 18 turnovers.  Hazard shot 25% from the field including four of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Bulldogs connected on six of nine free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and committed 13 turnovers.

 

5-9 Fr. Kaylee Mathis led Clay County with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists.  5-6 So. Shelby Phillips added 17 points including five three point baskets and five rebounds.  5-4 8th Grader Taylor Asher recorded 16 points including three three point baskets.  5-9 So. Summer Parker added 15 points and 12 rebounds.

 

5-6 Fr. Desiree Sturgill led Hazard with 14 points.  5-8 8th Grader Haley Caudill added 13 points.  5-10 Jr. Olivia Holland recorded six points and eight rebounds.  5-8 Sr. Kiara Walker added five points and seven rebounds.

Grant County led 40-21 in the third quarter but had to withstand an offensive onslaught by LexCath’s Jay Ballard (38 points) to earn a 60-54 victory.  Grant County shot 51.4% from the field including nine of 17 from the three point line.  The Lady Braves connected on 13 of 16 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 16 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 41.9% from the field including seven of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Knights connected on 11 of 18 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 16 Grant County turnovers.

 

Bryan Ezell led Grant County with 18 points including four three point baskets and four rebounds.  Madisyn Ruebusch added 13 points including seven of eight free throws and four rebounds.  Abby West recorded 12 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and three steals.  Lindsey Kinard chipped in with 10 points and four rebounds.

 

Jay Ballard led Lexington Catholic with 38 points including five three point baskets.  Ballard was 13 of 18 from the field including five of seven from the three point line, and seven of nine free throws.  Maylo Given added eight points and five rebounds.

Paul Laurence Dunbar led 42-24 in the third quarter but had to withstand a furious rally by Lexington Christian Academy fueled by the torrid outside shooting of Nathan Harper to eke out a 66-64 victory.  Dunbar shot 40% from the field including two of 12 from the three point line.  The Bulldogs connected on 24 of 33 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 17 LCA turnovers.  LCA shot 43.6% from the field including 10 of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on six of nine free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 18 Dunbar turnovers.

 

Taveion Hollingsworth led Dunbar with 28 points including eight of eight free throws, 15 rebounds, four assists, and three steals.  Javea Richardson added 16 points including seven of seven free throws.  Star Ifeacho recorded 11 points, seven rebounds, three blocked shots, and three steals.
