Franklin County coach Tony Wise started the following lineup: 6-1 So. Kyle Stivers, 6-1 Jr. Walker Lee, 6-5 Sr. Anthony Valentine, 5-8 So. Diablo Stewart, and 5-10 Sr. Ryan Staples. Seneca coach Daniel Hawkins countered with 6-1 Sr. James Keelin, 6-2 So. Carl Parker, 6-4 Sr. Keyontez Leach, 6-1 So. Timothy Gordon, and 6-2 Sr. Dayshawn Chaney.
Franklin County trailed 43-41 after three quarters but rallied to defeat Seneca 59-56. There were six ties and six lead changes in the game. Franklin County shot 42.6% from the field including four of 16 from the three point line. The Flyers connected on nine of 14 free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and scored 30 points off 28 Seneca turnovers. Seneca shot 63.2% from the field including three of five from beyond the arc. Seneca attempted 16 less shots (54-38) from the field than Franklin County. The Redhawks connected on five of six free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored nine points off 11 Franklin County turnovers.
Diablo Stewart led Franklin County with 16 points including three three point baskets, three rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Anthony Valentine added 14 points and five rebounds. Kyle Stivers chipped in with 11 points and four assists.
Keyontez Leach led Seneca with 19 points and nine rebounds. Leach was eight of nine from the field and three of four from the free throw line. Timothy Gordon added 10 points. Carl Parker chipped in with eight points. Dayshawn Chaney recorded six points, three rebounds, three assists, two blocked shots, and three steals.
