Lexington Christian Academy coach Nate Valentine started the following lineup: 6-6 Jr. Carter Hendricksen, 6-6 So. Kyle Rode, 6-6 Jr. Austin Hall, 6-0 Jr. Chandler Stewart, and 6-2 Sr. Nathan Harper. Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-5 Jr. Zan Payne, 6-3 Jr. TC Price, 6-7 Sr. Peter Whitman, 6-2 Sr. Blake Scott, and 6-3 Sr. Luke Johnson,
Lexington Christian Academy captured their first district championship with a convincing 58-36 victory over Lexington Catholic. LCA shot 47.6% from the field including six of 11 from the three point line. The Eagles connected on 12 of 16 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 14 points off nine Lexington Catholic turnovers. Lexington Catholic shot 27.5% from the field including three of 14 from beyond the arc. The Knights connected on five of six free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 10 LCA turnovers.
Carter Hendricksen led LCA with 21 points including three three point baskets and 15 rebounds. Kyle Rode added 15 points including eight of 10 free throws, four rebounds, seven assists, and two steals. Austin Hall recorded 13 points, seven rebounds, and six blocked shots.
Luke Johnson led Lexington Catholic with 15 points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Zan Payne added 12 points, three rebounds, and three assists. Peter Whitman pulled down nine rebounds and blocked four shots.
