2017 Rick Bolus Girls Mini-Camp July 13-14, 2017

 

This is a list of several players that made an early impression at this mini-camp.

 

Kennedy Musselman – 6-2 Sr. Rochester Rochester IN is a strong post presence on both ends of the court.

 

Leah Cauble – 5-9 Jr. Oran Oran MO is an explosive scorer that can light up the scoreboard.

 

Alyssa Robben – 6-4 Jr. East Central St. Leon IN has great size and a great upside.

 

Kiya Thompson – 5-7 Jr. Henry Clay Lexington KY is a slasher that finishes at the rim.

 

Lauren Boblitt – 6-1 Jr. Anderson County Lawrenceburg KY has length and is a aggressive, versatile scorer.

 

Presley Chirico – 5-9 Sr. Paintsville Paintsville KY is a versatile player who finishes at the rim.

 

Madison Balance – 5-3 Sr. Rossview Clarksville TN is a cerebral combo guard who controls the game.

 

Lindi DeBilzan – 5-9 Jr. Lafayette Lexington KY is a versatile wing player.

 

Kennedy Harris – 5-7 So. Southwestern Somerset KY is an excellent perimeter shooter.

 

Rachel Lehkamp – 5-7 Sr. Walton-Verona Walton KY has a “tough-as-nails” approach with a high revving motor and gets results.

 

Taylor Browning – 5-11 Jr. Rushville Rushville IN is a multi-skilled performer.

 

Jada Higgins – 5-8 Jr. Knott Co. Central Hindman KY is a relentless slasher who gets to the rim.

 

Whitney Hay – 5-10 So. Elizabethtown Elizabethtown KY is a talented young player with a big upside.

 

Kallie Sheron – 5-10 Jr. Southwestern Somerset KY is an aggressive versatile scorer with range on her shot.

 

Jaya McClure – 5-3 8th Grade Whitefield Academy Louisville KY is a young talent, one to closely watch.

 

Breanna Anthony – 5-5 Sr. Eastern Louisville KY is a solid backcourt player and scorer.

 

Devin Beach – 6-1 Jr. Eastern Louisville KY is a versatile scorer both inside and outside.

 

Terri Abram – 5-7 Jr. Lafayette Lexington KY has excellent point guard skills.

 

Mashayla Cecil – 5-4 Sr. Paul Laurence Dunbar Lexington KY is a talented guard who scores on penetration or jump shots, has great range.

 

Maleaha Bell – 5-10 Jr. George Rogers Clark Winchester KY is an athletic, versatile scorer.

 

Haylee Neeley – 5-1 Fr. Walton-Verona Walton KY is a cool, collected youngster with good point guard skills.

 

Addi Bowling – 5-3 Fr. Somerset Somerset KY is a talented point guard and floor general.

 

Jaclynn Ruble – 5-7 Jr. Anderson County Lawrenceburg KY is a solid, dependable performer with good range on her jump shot.

 

Jillian Enix – 5-11 Sr. Pineville Pineville KY is a solid inside player.

 

Ellie Mitchell – 5-9 Sr. Owensboro Catholic Owensboro KY is a consistent scorer.

 

Lamaria Spagner – 5-1 Sr. Incarnate Word St. Louis MO is a dynamic backcourt performer.

 

Payeton Charles – 5-0 Jr. Harlan KY dynamite comes in small packages and Miss Charles is a tenacious defender.

 

Curtshonna Cannon – 6-1 Sr. S.T.E.A.M. Lexington KY is strong and active in the paint.

Rick Bolus’ 38th Annual High Potential Blue Chip Basketball Camp July 10-11, 2017

 

This was the first day of the two day session and as usual everything is hectic on the first day.  I did not get to see all the teams today in High School Division or any of the Junior High Division.  I will list some of the players I observed or who were mentioned to me and will add more tomorrow as well as adding all camp teams and awards when made available.

 

Kyelor Gipson – 5-9 Sr. MASE Memphis TN shoots the ball and is an excellent defender.

 

David Hunter – 6-1 Jr. Scott Taylor Mill KY impressed with his tenacious defense.

 

Jaycob Pouncy – 6-1 Sr. Scott Taylor Mill KY is a versatile scorer.

 

Marcus Ashford – 5-10 Sr. Paris Paris KY is extremely quick with a nice shot.

 

Eric Johnson – 5-11 Sr. Paris Paris KY is an athletic slasher who gets to the rim.

 

Elisha Moore – 5-10 Fr Home School Lawrenceburg IN is a lock-down defender.

 

Zachary Patterson – 6-1 So. Knox Central Barbourville KY is a young up-and-comer point guard with a big upside.

 

Markelle Turner – 6-1 Sr. Knox Central Barbourville KY can get to the rim or hit the jump shot.

Senior Division Summary

There were several talented players in this division with several players making good impressions.  6-5 Sr. Ethan Haynes Boone County Florence KY was named Camp MVP for the high school division is very athletic, skilled, and has a big upside.  6-6 Sr. Paris Taylor Bolivar Central Bolivar TN is an athletic forward who scores and rebounds.  6-9 So. Ksaun Casey North Hopkins Madisonville KY was named Top Underclassman and is hard to stop in the paint at both ends of the court.  6-3 So. Noah Courtney Male Louisville KY is an athletic scorer with unlimited potential.  6-4 Jr. Brandon Wharton Nolensville Nolensville TN multi-skilled does it all.  6-5 Sr. Aaron Reed Marshall County Benton KY was named Camp Runner-Up MVP is athletic, has excellent basketball instincts and can shoot the ball.  5-10 Sr. Lance-Amir Paul Putnam Science Academy Putnam CT is a super quick point guard who gets to the rim at will.  6-8 Jr. Sterling Craig  Ravenwood Brentwood TN is a blue-collar post player who gets results.  6-4 Jr. Winston Tulloss Sale Creek Sale Creek TN absolutely attacks the glass.  6-5 So. Kenny White North Hopkins Madisonville KY young, smooth wing can score.  6-0 Sr. Markeevius Byrd Metter Metter GA penetrates and finishes at the rim.

 

6-3 Sr. Robert Wilcox Maplewood Nashville TN is an explosive slasher and shooter.  6-3 Sr. Nathan Stonecipher McCracken County Paducah KY great all around back court skills.  6-3 Sr. Devin Pendergrass Butler Louisville KY is a penetrator and shooter.  6-4 Jr. Emmanuell Percell-Traylor Childersburg Childersburg AL rebounds and blocks shot.  6-3 Sr. Okeitho Marhall Leo Catholic Chicago IL is unstoppable in the paint.  5-9 Jr. D.J. Smith Bolivar Central Bolivar TN has excellent point guard skills.  6-7 Sr. Jacob Llumbet Maryville Maryville TN is a blue collar inside player who can shoot the perimeter jump shot.  6-0 Jr. Cade Cunningham North Hopkins Madisonville KY has good basketball IQ and is a versatile scorer.  6-1 Sr. Collin Wedding Central Evansville IN is a combo guard who scores.  6-2 Sr. Deven Stone Wolfe County Campton KY has downtown range on his jumper.

 

6-7 So. Zach Benton Ryle Union KY is a good shooter with an understanding of the game.  6-4 Fr. Brett Bosley Paoli Paoli IN has an excellent jump shot-one to watch.  6-2 So. Dominic Greene Northwest Whitfield Dalton GA is a young athletic wing player.  6-3 Sr. Justin Kellogg Trenton-Wesclin Trenton IL is a blue collar tireless worker in the paint who can stroke the “3”.  5-11 Fr. Shane Bibby Central Louisville KY scores in transition and has a good upside.
