Eastern Kentucky took a 17-0 lead early in the third quarter but had to withstand a Tennessee Tech rally to earn a 24-21 victory.  Tennessee Tech turnovers and some key defensive stops proved to be instrumental in the Colonels victory.  Eastern Kentucky recorded 11 first downs and 288 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized seven times for 51 yards and lost a fumble.  Tennessee Tech recorded 21 first downs and 416 yards of total offense.  The Golden Eagles were penalized nine times for 52 yards., lost three fumbles and had two passes intercepted.

LJ Scott led Eastern Kentucky’s ground game with 54 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries.  Tim Boyle completed 21 of 28 passes for 185 yards and one touchdown.  Dan Paul caught five passes for 50 yards.  Ryan Markush added four receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown.  Neiko Creamer recorded four receptions for 49 yards.  Keith Wrzuszczak punted nine times for a 48.1 average with a long punt of 76 yards and three punts inside the 20 yard line.  Ben Bascom led the defense with four solo and six assisted tackles.  Jeffrey Canady added eight assisted tackles.  Kobie Grace recorded five solo and two assisted tackles, recovered two fumbles, and intercepted a pass he returned 39 yards.  Corey Glass intercepted a pass and LJ Scott recovered a fumble.  Aaron Patrick added two solo and one assisted tackles with one of his passes resulting in an 11 yard loss. 

Yeedee Thaenrat led Tennessee Tech’s ground game with 56 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries.  Andrew Goldsmith carried the ball nine times for 47 yards.  Andre Sale completed 26 of 40 passes for 304 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.  Dontez Byrd caught nine passes for 169 yards and a touchdown.  Hunter Coleman added five receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown.  Rodrick Napper returned five kickoffs for 116 yards including a long return of 31 yards.  Josh Cunningham returned two punts for 18 yards with a long return of 12 yards.  Nick Madonia punted six times for a 46.8 average with a long punt of 59 yards with two punts inside the 20 yard line.  Elliott Normand led the defense with three solo and six assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a five yard loss.  Aderick Moore added two solo and seven assisted tackles.  Deontay Wilson recorded two solo and two assisted tackles and recovered a fumble he returned 13 yards.

St. Francis took an early 7-0 lead but it was all Covington Catholic after that as the Colonels rolled to a 35-7 victory.  Covington Catholic recorded 17 first downs and 385 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized three times for 20 yards and lost a fumble.  St. Francis recorded six first downs and 189 yards of total offense.  They were penalized four times for 20 yards.

C. McGinness led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 185 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries.  AJ Mayer carried the ball nine times for 67 yards and two touchdowns.  AJ Mayer completed 12 of 24 passes for 109 yards and a touchdown.  M. Pike caught four passes for 33 yards.  D. Summe caught a 26 yard touchdown pass.  C. McGinness returned two punts for 30 yards with a long return of 27 yards and returned one kickoff for 30 yards.  T. Bayer led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles.  M. Mayer added three solo and two assisted tackles.

B. Asamoah led St. Francis’ ground game with 56 yards on 14 carries.  C. Silvestri completed seven of 16 passes for 122 yards and one touchdown.  C. Hilleary caught three passes for 96 yards and a touchdown.  J. Velazquez returned three kickoffs for 77 yards with a long return of 30 yards.  C. Hilleary returned one kickoff for 29 yards.  A. Lexington Christian Academy trailed 31-28 at halftime but Lexington Christian Academy rallied for a 69-38 in an offensive slugfest.  Both teams combined for 107 points, 45 first downs, and 1075 yards.  Both teams dialed long distance on several plays on offense tonight as LCA scored on plays of 44, 60, 60, 61, and 52 yards.  KCD had long distance scoring plays of 66, 33, 71, and 45 yards.  LCA recorded 24 first downs and 577 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized three times for 15 yards and had a pass intercepted.  KCD recorded 21 first downs and 498 yards of total offense.  They were penalized six times for 55 yards and lost a fumble.

Dillon Wheatley led the LCA ground attack with 220 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries.  Logan Nieves added 157 yards and three touchdowns on 12 carries.  Logan Nieves completed nine of 19 passes for 192 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.  Caelen Lebryk caught three passes for 71 yards and a touchdown.  Dearious Smith added three receptions for 68 yards and a touchdown.  Blane Hardin added two receptions for 44 yards and a touchdown.  Drayden Burton returned five kickoffs for 134 yards.  Josh McClurg led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles.  Kaleb Bolton added three solo and five assisted tackles.  Walker Parks recorded four solo and two assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in lost yardage.

Ashton Robinson led KCD’s ground game with 95 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.  Drew Russell carried the ball three times for 37 yards.  David Scatterly carried the ball once for a 33 yard touchdown.  Jackson Diaz completed 19 of 31 passes for 246 yards and two touchdowns.  Ashton Robinson caught three passes for 99 yards and a touchdown.  Josh Lifson added eight receptions for 69 yards.  David Scatterly recorded three receptions for 66 yards and a touchdown.  Gianni Minor returned one kickoff for 66 yards.  Chris Scott led the defense with four solo and four assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in lost yardage.  Ashton Robinson added five solo tackles.  Mick Smith intercepted a pass he returned for a touchdown.

Franklin County dominated on both sides of the ball to earn a 30-3 victory over Shelby County.  The offense rolled up 373 yards of offense and the defense forced four turnovers.  Franklin County recorded 17 first downs and 373 yards of total offense.  The Flyers were penalized six times for 65 yards.  Shelby County recorded 10 first downs and 115 yards of total offense.  The Rockets were penalized six times for 58 yards, lost a fumble, and had three passes intercepted.

Tre Simmons led Franklin County’s ground game with 62 yards and one touchdown on nine carries.  Dakota Bowen carried the ball three times for 49 yards.  Fred Farrier added 45 yards on two carries.  Jesse Thurman completed seven of 15 passs for 181 yards and two touchdowns.  Tre Simmons caught three passes for 99 yards.  Dakota Bowen added a 35 yard reception for a touchdown.  Cameron Phelps also added an 18 yard touchdown reception.  Tre Simmons returned two punts for 36 yards with a long return of 31 yards.  Frank Turner led the defense with eight solo tackles.  Jalin Benson added five solo tackles.  Brady Roberts recorded five solo tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards and intercepted a pass he returned 80 yards for a touchdown.  DJ Rucker recovered a fumble and Tre Simmons and Cameron Phelps each added a pass interception.

Caleb Morehead led Shelby County’s ground game with 59 yards on 15 carries.  Colin O’Hare completed two of 10 passes for 27 yards with three interceptions.  Kyion Stone caught one pass for 21 yards.  William Davis returned one kickoff for 44 yards.  C.Armstrong led the defense with eight solo tackles.  Jose Carias added four solo and one assisted tackles.  Jacob Smith recorded two solo tackles which resulted in losses totaling 13 yards.

Madison Central rolled up 384 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground on their way to a 52-7 over Bourbon County.  Madison Central recorded 19 first downs and 430 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized seven times for 60 yards and lost a fumble.  Bourbon County recorded 12 first downs and 211 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized eight times for 59 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Gavin Hulberg led Madison Central’s ground game with 198 yards and four touchdowns on 11 carries.  Freddie Chenault carried the ball 14 times for 123 yards and two touchdowns.  Derrick Miller added 25 yards and a touchdown on three carries.  Derrick Miller completed six of 12 passes for 46 yards.  Antwaun Warford caught three passes for 24 yards.  Ethan Hahn added three receptions for 22 yards.  Daniel Baker led the defense with three solo and five assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.  Jackson Juett added two solo and five assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.  Jesse Cox recorded two solo and two assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards.  Ben Snapp intercepted a pass.

CaMarr Myers led Bourbon County’s ground game with 43 yards on 18 carries.  Justin Blankenship completed 12 of 20 passes for 183 yards and one touchdown with one interception.  Titus Ransom caught seven passes for 149 yards and a touchdown.  CaMarr Myers added three receptions for 27 yards.  Titus Ransom returned six kickoffs for 83 yards.  Dalton Williams led the defense with six solo and nine assisted tackles.  Javier Arcaia added four solo and nine assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling two yards.  CaMarr Myers recorded two solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling two yards and recovered a fumble.

Scott County defeated Bryan Station 49-12 to send the Defenders to their sixth straight loss this year.  Scott County recorded an eye popping 20.1 yards per play on only 20 offensive plays as compared to 74 plays for Bryan Station.  Scott County dialed long distance several times tonight as they had scoring plays of 43. 52, 83, and 66 yards among their seven touchdowns.  Scott County recorded 12 first downs and 403 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized twice for 30 yards.  Bryan Station recorded 20 first downs and 332 yards of total offense.  The Defenders were penalized three times for 20 yards.

Brice Fryman led Scott County’s ground game with 146 yards and three touchdowns on four carries.  Payton Brown carried the ball three times for 50 yards.  Austin Barnett recorded 44 yards on six carries.  Josh Davis and Bronson Brown each ran for a touchdown.  Josh Davis completed three of three passes for 130 yards and two touchdowns.  Glenn Covington caught two passes for 64 yards and one touchdown.  Landon Easley caught one pass for a 66 yard touchdown.  Berk Watts led the defense with six solo and four assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 16 yards.  Matt Fannin added five solo and three assisted tackles.  Sam Daniel recorded five solo tackles.

Jalen Burbage led Bryan Station’s ground game with 73 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.  Antoine Smith carried the ball 20 times for 50 yards.  Jalen Burbage completed 14 of 26 passes for 141 yards and one touchdown.  DonDRE Fish caught six passes for 47 yards.  Shemar Ritch added 46 yards on five carries.  C. Benton added two receptions for 39 yards and a touchdown.  Anthony Cox led the defense with two solo tackles.  Kyran Campbell and C. Benton added one solo and one assisted tackles.

Frederick Douglass defeated Paul Laurence Dunbar 52-0 to hand the Bulldogs their fourth shutout defeat in five games this season.  Douglass recorded 15 first downs and 302 yards of total offense.  The Broncos were penalized twice for 25 yards.  Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded five first downs and 34 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized three times for 27 yards.

Montaveon Bean led Douglass’ ground game with 84 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries.  Jefferson Harkless carried the ball nine times for 45 yards and two touchdowns.  Montaveon Bean completed eight of 14 passes for 109 yards and two touchdowns.  Gavin Bugg completed one of four passes for 43 yards.  Micah Lowe caught five passes for 68 yards and two touchdowns.  Brion Thomas added two receptions for 38 yards.  Maliq Trigg caught one pass for 43 yards.  Obi Taylor led the defense with three solo and two assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards.  Gabe Hilyard added two solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an eight yard loss.  Fra-Derick Jewe recorded two solo and two assisted tackles.  Jacob Kenney recorded one tackle for an 18 yard loss.

Alex Bard led Paul Laurence Dunbar’s ground game with 40 yards on 14 carries.  Joe Walker carried the ball six times for 29 yards.  Darren Edmond recorded 25 yards on 11 carries.  Tanner Cox completed one of five passes for two yards.  Darren Edmond caught one pass for two yards.  Kadeb Gaylord led the defense with four solo tackles.  Isaac Armstrong added two solo and two assisted tackles.

Henry Clay took advantage of a blocked punt and two long scoring plays to defeat Lafayette by a score of 21-17.  Henry Clay had 37 less offensive plays (79-42) but took advantage of the big plays to record the win.  Henry Clay recorded nine first downs and 233 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized five times for 31 yards and lost two fumbles.  Lafayette recorded 17 first downs and 372 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized six times for 41 yards and lost a fumble.

Tyree Clarke led Henry Clay’s ground game with 100 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.  Darrin Van Horn completed eight of 11 passes for 102 yards and a touchdown.  Michael McMullen caught three passes for 68 yards and a touchdown.  Tyree Clarke led the defense with six solo and eight assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards.  Langston Jackson added seven solo and one assisted tackles.  Ramond Jackson recorded four solo and six assisted tackles. Jordan Kimball added two solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a five yard loss and scored on a blocked punt return.

Cameron Morgan led Lafayette’s ground game with 188 yards on 28 carries.  Ean Shaw carried the ball six times for 19 yards and a touchdown.  Dekwan Edwards completed 10 of 25 passes for 133 yards and a touchdown.  Matthew Guilfoil caught five passes for 34 yards.  Caylon Williams caught one pass for 37 yards.  John Combs added one reception for 35 yards and a touchdown.  Jaylen Lawson led the defense with five solo and seven assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards and recovered a fumble.  Ean Shaw added three solo and five assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards.  Austin Blake also recovered a fumble.
