Eastern Kentucky University outscored UT Martin 21-7 in the third quarter to take control on their way to a 31-21 victory.  Eastern Kentucky finally had a break through on their running game as they ran for 229 yards and four touchdowns on 52 carries.  Eastern Kentucky recorded 18 first downs and 331 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized seven times for 81 yards.  UT Martin recorded 11 first downs and 254 yards of total offense.  The Skyhawks were penalized nine times for 92 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Daryl McCleskey led Eastern Kentucky’s ground attack with 137 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries.  Ethan Thomas carried the ball 10 times for 48 yards and two touchdowns.  Tim Boyle completed nine of 19 passes for 101 yards.  Dan Paul caught four passes for 31 yards.  BK Smith added two receptions for 15 yards.  Neiko Creamer caught one pass for 33 yards.  Keith Wrzuszczak punted nine times for a 49.9 average with a long punt of 84 yards and two punts inside the 20 yard line.  Jeffrey Canady led the defense with one solo and five assisted tackles.  Corey Glass added three solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an eight yard loss.  Connor Foos recorded one solo and four assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  Ben Bascom intercepted a pass he returned 22 yards and Kobie Grace recovered a fumble.

Ladarius Galloway led UT Martin’s ground game with 41 yards on 13 carries.  Dresser Winn completed seven of 15 passes for 99 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Troy Cook completed seven of 10 passes for 117 yards and a touchdown.  Jaylon Moore caught four passes for 80 yards and a touchdown.  Christian Philpott added four receptions for 77 yards.  Londell Lee added two receptions for 36 yards and a touchdown.  Brett Arkelian punted seven times for a 40.9 average with a long punt of 51 yards with three punts inside the 20 yard line.  Londell Lee returned one punt for 27 yards.  Peyton Logan returned three kickoffs for 167 yards with a 95 yard return for a touchdown.  Kevin Prather Jr. led the defense with 11 solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a six yard loss.  Kahlid Hagens added five solo and five assisted tackles.  James Gilleylen recorded two solo and seven assisted tackles.  Tae Martin added six solo and two assisted tackles.

DeSales improves their record to 9-0 with a 57-0 victory over Shawnee.  DeSales defense held Shawnee to one first down and a negative 31 yards of total offense.  DeSales recorded eight first downs and 294 yards of total offense.  The Colts were penalized twice for 20 yards.  DeSales raced out to a 36-0 first quarter lead and had six different players run for touchdowns tonight and scored on an interception return and recorded a safety.  Shawnee recorded one first down and -31 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized three times for 20 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

AJ O’Shea and Ashton Baum led DeSales ground game with one carry each for 65 yards and a touchdown.  Joe Olsen carried the ball twice for 45 yards and two touchdowns.  Chase Pfaadt added two carries for 40 yards and a touchdown.  Saivon Stivers carried the ball twice for 37 yards and a touchdown.  Antion Johnson also scored a touchdown on the ground.  The Colts did not attempt a pass tonight.  Ryan O’Shea returned one kickoff for 45 yards.  Kenny Triplett led the defense with two solo and three assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  C. Heintzman added one solo and five assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards and recovered a fumble.  Seven other players made tackles resulting in losses.  Ronni Standard intercepted a pass he returned 15 yards for a touchdown.

#53 led Shawnee’s ground game with four yards on three carries.  #10 completed one of two passes for five yards with one interception.  Johnny Derricot caught one pass for five yards.  Johnny Derricot returned four kickoffs for 89 yards with a long return of 29 yards.  Johnny Derricot and #14 led the defense with one solo and one assisted tackles each.

Covington Catholic remains undefeated as they improve to 9-0 with a 49-6 victory over Dixie Heights.  The Colonels offense was very efficient tonight as they gained 387 yards on 45 offensive plays for an 8.6 average per play.  Covington Catholic recorded 17 first downs and 387 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized four times for 19 yards.  Dixie Heights recorded eight first downs and 165 yards of total offense.  They were penalized seven times for 74 yards and lost a fumble.

T. Reusch led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 50 yards on five carries.  C. McGinness carried the ball six times for 38 yards and two touchdowns.  L. Summe added 36 yards on three carries.  L. Lenihan recorded 35 yards on two carries.  AJ Mayer carried the ball two times for 27 yards and a touchdown.  D. Felix carried the ball once for 23 yards and a touchdown.  G. Dyer also ran for a touchdown.  AJ Mayer completed nine of 21 passes for 165 yards and two touchdowns.  M. Pike caught three passes for 55 yards and a touchdown.  K. Butler added two receptions for 46 yards.  J. Coldiron caught one pass for 40 yards.  L. Lenihan caught a six yard touchdown pass.  T. Bayer led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles.  Z. Allen added two solo and three assisted tackles.  M. Mayer recorded one solo and four assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.  E. Kennedy recovered a fumble.

Brandon Barker led Dixie Heights’ ground game with 131 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries.  J. Adams completed one of seven passes for 16 yards.  J. DeZarn completed two of five passes for 17 yards.  Brandon Barker caught one pass for 16 yards.  W. Riedmatter returned three kickoffs for 49 yards with a long return of 23 yards.  Y. Shi, W. Riedmatter, and C. Williams led the defense with three solo tackles each.

Franklin County rolled up 411 yards of total offense, recovered a fumble, and intercepted four passes in a 52-20 victory over North Oldham.  Franklin County recorded 19 first downs and 411 yards of total offense.  The Flyers were penalized 13 times for 124 yards and lost two fumbles.  North Oldham recorded 12 first downs and 129 yards of total offense.  They were penalized 12 times for 126 yards, lost a fumble, and had four passes intercepted.

Chad Holleran led Franklin County’s ground game with 53 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.  Jesse Thurman completed 14 of 19 passes for 230 yards and three touchdowns.  Nick Broyles completed three of five passes for 37 yards and a touchdown.  Fred Farrier caught five passes for 67 yards.  Tre Simmons added four receptions for 69 yards and two touchdowns.  Ameer Lee caught a 57 yard touchdown pass and Christian Patrick added a 23 yard scoring reception.  Tre Simmons returned two punts for 34 yards with a long return of 19 yards.  Chad Holleran led the defense with two solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards and recovered a fumble.  Frank Turner and Bryce Tucker each recorded three solo tackles.  Tre Simmons intercepted a pass he returned 26 yards.  Fred Farrier intercepted three passes he returned for a total of 62 yards with a touchdown return of 45 yards.

Brendan McAfee led North Oldham’s ground game with 28 yards and a touchdown on five carries.  Allen Cheatham completed 15 of 31 passes for 145 yards with four interceptions.  Brandon Rose caught eight passes for 71 yards.  Adam Barry added three receptions for 48 yards.  Brendan McAfee scored on a 75 yard kickoff return.  Nick Austin led the defense with six solo and five assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards.  Jackson Kincaid added three solo and eight assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards.  Josh Thome recorded five solo and three assisted tackles.  Josh Pritchford recovered a fumble and J. Detwiler recovered a fumble he returned 29 yards.

Madison Southern utilized a punishing ground game (389 yards and six touchdowns on 42 carries) in a 41-20 victory over Anderson County to improve their record to 7-2 for the season.  Madison Southern recorded 21 first downs and 486 yards of total offense.  They were penalized seven times for 50 yards and lost a fumble.  Anderson County recorded 10 first downs and 225 yards of total offense.  The Bearcats were penalized six times for 89 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Carter Smith led Madison Southern’s ground attack with 146 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries.  Landen Stacy carried the ball nine times for 118 yards and two touchdowns.  Alex Knuckles added 47 yards on six carries.  Hunter Richardson carried the ball three times for 42 yards.  Nathaniel Eads added 35 yards and a touchdown on five carries.  Landen Stacy completed seven of 12 passes for 97 yards.  Hunter Richardson caught three passes for 69 yards.  Clay Tinsley returned two kickoffs 44 yards with a long return of 25 yards.  Baylot Willis returned one kickoff for 32 yards.  TJ Estes led the defense with seven solo and six assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards.  Carter Smith added six solo and five assisted tackles.  Nathaniel Eads recorded five solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a nine yard loss.  Zachary Howard added three solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.  Clay Tinsley intercepted a pass.

Blake Franklin led Anderson County’s ground game with 135 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.  Zach Labhart carried the ball 16 times for 57 yards and a touchdown.  Jagger Gillis completed four of eight passes for 64 yards with one interception.  Tyler Peters caught one pass for 27 yards.  Brandan Klink added one reception for 21 yards.  Zach Labhart returned two kickoffs for 97 yards including an 84 yard return for a touchdown.  Colton Cornish led the defense with eight solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss.  Zach Labhart and Matt Stamper each recorded five solo and one assisted tackles.

Frederick Douglass scored a late touchdown (1:06 remaining in the game) and utilized a strong defense to defeat Henry Clay 14-7 and complete the sweep of their Lexington public school rivals in their first year of football.  Frederick Douglass recorded 11 first downs and 364 yards of total offense.  The Broncos were penalized six times for 71 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  Henry Clay recorded five first downs and 173 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized eight times for 106 yards.

Jefferson Harkless led Douglass’ ground game with 134 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries.  Montaveon Bean carried the ball 13 times for 47 yards.  Montaveon Bean completed 17 of 29 passes for 183 yards and one touchdown with one interception.  Haiden Hunt caught six passes for 87 yards and a touchdown.  Dekel Crowdus added five receptions for 29 yards.  Micah Lowe caught four passes for 31 yards.  Haiden Hunt returned two punts for 54 yards with a long return of 36 yards.  Shamarr Taylor led the defense with eight solo and four assisted tackles with four of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 16 yards.  Obi Taylor added three solo and five assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards.  Jaylin Bybee recorded three solo and four assisted tackles.

Tyree Clarke led Henry Clay’s ground game with 34 yards on 13 carries.  Darrin Van Horn completed seven of 14 passes for 70 yards.  Zac Berezewitz caught two passes for 25 yards.  Isaiah Adkins added two receptions for 18 yards.  Michael McMullen caught one pass for 21 yards.  John Felty led the defense with five solo and five assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.  Langston Jackson added six solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 16 yards.  Ramond Jackson recorded five solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss and intercepted a pass he returned 100 yards for a touchdown.
