Eastern Kentucky University trailed 13-3 at halftime but rallied in the second half sparked by some big defensive plays to earn a 17-13 come-from-behind victory.  Easter Kentucky University recorded 21 first downs and 360 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized five times for 50 yards and had two passes intercepted.  Austin Peay recorded 15 first downs and 261 yards of total offense.  They were penalized nine times for 102 yards and lost three fumbles.

Daryl McCleskey led Eastern Kentucky’s ground game with 81 yards on 14 carries.  LJ Scott carried the ball 18 times for 73 yards.  Alphonso Howard added 67 yards on 16 carries.  Alphonso Howard completed five of 14 passes for 56 yards with two interceptions.  Parker McKinney completed seven of eight passes for 89 yards and a touchdown.  Jackson Beerman caught three passes for 59 yards.  Neiko Creamer added two receptions for 33 yards.  Dan Paul recorded two receptions for 29 yards and a touchdown.  Leodis Moore III led the defense with five solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards and intercepted two passes, one he returned 35 yards for a touchdown.  Steven Crowder added three solo and five assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss.  Cornelius Floyd recorded six solo tackles.  TJ Comstock added two solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass. 

Kente Williams led Austin Peay’s ground game with 83 yards on 12 carries.  Jeremy Oatsvall carried the ball 12 times for 73 yards and a touchdown.  Jeremy Oatsvall completed nine of 23 passes for 71 yards with three interceptions.  DJ Montgomery caught three passes for 27 yards.  Gorel Soumare added three receptions for 26 yards.  Kente Williams returned three kickoffs for 87 yards with a long return of 29 yards.  Devin Stuart punted five times for a 40.4 average with a long punt of 46 yards with two punts inside the 20 yard line.  L. Birchfield connected on field goals of 45 and 43 yards.  Trent Taylor led the defense with nine solo and one assisted tackles.  G. Scholato added five solo and five assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards.  Kordel Jackson recorded seven solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards and intercepted a pass he returned 15 yards.  Malik Davis added two solo and five assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a six yard loss and intercepted a pass.

This game was almost beyond description – it was an offensive onslaught beyond belief, Madden video football, fast break on grass, thrill a minute, you name it but in the end Lawrence County defeated Western Hills 78-74 in a come-from-behind victory.  This game featured a combined 55 first down, 1150 yards of total offense, and 152 points.  The contest also highlighted great performances by Lawrence County QB Noah West and Western Hills’ all-everything Wandale Robinson.  Despite all the offensive heroics the game came down to a game clinching interception by West to snuff out Western Hills hopes.  Noah West ended up scoring 60 points in this game, seven touchdowns and nine two-point conversions.  Robinson scored four touchdowns and five two-point conversions for 34 points.  Lawrence County recorded 30 first downs and 581 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized 10 times for 85 yards.  Western Hills recorded 25 first downs and 569 yards of total offense.  The Wolverines were penalized eight times for 55 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Noah West led Lawrence County’s ground game with 393 yards and seven touchdowns on 45 carries.  Ashton Blankenship carried the ball 19 times for 113 yards and one touchdown.  Baden Gillispie carried the ball eight times for 64 yards and one touchdown and scored on a 65 yard kickoff return.  Lawrence County was zero for two in the passing department.

Wandale Robinson led Western Hills’ ground game with 133 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries.  Logan Bell carried the ball seven times for 88 yards and one touchdown.  Nate Johnson added 45 yards and one touchdown on nine carries.  Nate Johnson completed 16 of 25 passes for 311 yards and six touchdowns with two interceptions.  Wandale Robinson caught nine passes for 227 yards and two touchdowns.  Jason Rogers added three receptions for 49 yards and three touchdowns.  Carlos Gonzalez caught two passes for 20 yards and a touchdown.

Lexington Christian Academy raced out to a 31-0 halftime lead on their way to a 46-14 victory over Prestonsburg.  Lexington Christian Academy recorded 22 first downs and 302 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized seven times for 60 yards.  Prestonsburg recorded seven first downs and 87 yards of total offense.  The Blackcats were penalized nine times for 80 yards.

Thomas White led Lexington Christian Academy’s ground attack with 12 carries for 84 yards and one touchdown.  Jayden Barnhardt carried the ball nine times for 39 yards and one touchdown.  Xavier Brown added 35 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries.  Jayden Barnhardt completed eight of 13 passes for 93 yards and a touchdown.  Mattie Lebryk caught two passes for 38 yards and a touchdown.  Will Vernon added three receptions for 30 yards.  DeArious Smith caught two passes for 23 yards.  Jeffrey Selby led the defense with three solo and six assisted tackles.  Mattie Lebryk added four solo and three assisted tackles.  Kaleb Bolton recorded two solo and six assisted tackles.

Ezekiel Briggs led Prestonsburg’s ground game with 28 yards and a touchdown on three carries.  Brayden Slone carried the ball nine times for 22 yards.  Brayden Slone completed five of 10 passes for 23 yards and a touchdown.  Samuel Kelly caught three passes for 17 yards and a touchdown.  Ethan Varney returned four kickoffs for 98 yards.  Brayden Slone returned one kickoff for 52 yards.  Ethan Varney led the defense with five solo and six assisted tackles.  Owen Greene added four solo and six assisted tackles.  Carter Akers recorded two solo and five assisted tackles.

DeSales defeated Newport by a score of 49-6 to advance in the playoffs.  DeSales recorded 20 first downs and 408 yards of total offense.  The Colts were penalized seven times for 52 yards.  Newport recorded six first downs and 97 yards of total offense.  They were penalized three times for 33 yards and had one pass intercepted.

James Johnson led DeSales’ ground game with 84 yards and a touchdown on five carries.  Antione Johnson carried the ball nine times for 80 yards and three touchdowns.  Chase O’Neil added 44 yards on five carries.  Aaron Pfaadt carried the ball three times for 26 yards and a touchdown.  Aaron Pfaadt completed nine of 14 passes for 112 yards and two touchdowns.  DeMarcus Avery caught two passes for 41 yards.  Antione Johnson added two receptions for 23 yards.  Savion Stivers caught two passes for 22 yards and a touchdown.  Darren Hollenkamp caught a four yard touchdown pass.  Amos Griffith led the defense with three solo and seven assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 28 yards.  Mekhi Lewis added three solo and one assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards.  DeJuan Watkins recorded two solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an eight yard loss.  Demetri Scott recorded two solo and one assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 17 yards.  Lance Weiter intercepted a pass.

Giaunte Jackson completed four of six passes for 132 yards and one touchdown.  Tyler Porter caught one pass for 70 yards anda touchdown.  Simon Keating caught one pass for 36 yards.  Karac Clayton led the defense with four solo tackles.  Simon Keating added three solo and one assisted tackles.

Lexington Catholic only ran 25 plays on offense compared to 64 for Pike County Central but averaged an eye popping 20 yards per play on their way to a 58-18 victory.  Lexington Catholic had several long distance scoring plays including 40, 49, 66, and 92 yards.  Lexington Catholic recorded 13 first downs and 501 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized four times for 44 yards and lost two fumbles.  Pike County Central recorded 18 first downs and 256 yards of total offense.  They were penalized twice for 15 yards and lost a fumble.

Beau Allen led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 78 yards and a touchdown on four carries.  Darrin Eldridge carried the ball once for 45 yards.  Keith Brinkman added 44 yards and two touchdowns on five carries.  Beau Allen completed 10 of 14 passes for 308 yards and five touchdowns.  Dylan Bracken caught two passes for 89 yards and two touchdowns.  Trenton Neuer added two receptions for 34 yards.  Luke Powell added two receptions for 10 yards and a touchdown.  Phillip Gough and Nathan Schnurr caught touchdown passes of 92 and 66 yards respectively.  Brennan Emnett led the defense with four solo and 10 assisted tackles.  Clay Callahan added five solo and four assisted tackles. 

Isaiah Hess led Pike County Central’s ground game with 66 yards on 20 carries.  Teddy James carried the ball four times for 40 yards and a touchdown.  Tyler Hunt completed four of nine passes for 29 yards and two touchdowns.  Jacob Young and Isaac Hunt caught touchdown passes of 10 and seven yards respectively.  Seth Ferguson led the defense with three solo tackles.  Aaron Slone and A. Perez each recorded a fumble.

Covington Catholic remains undefeated with a 49-0 victory over Woodford County.  Covington Catholic recorded 14 first downs and 279 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized six times for 30 yards and lost a fumble.  Woodford County recorded one first down and two yards total offense.  The yellow Jackets were penalized four times for 36 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Casey McGinness led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 97 yards and three touchdowns on eight carries.  M. Boydston carried the ball seven times for 28 yards and one touchdown.  Caleb Jacob completed five of seven passes for 87 yards and one touchdown.  Michael Mayer caught one pass for 37 yards.  Jack Coldiron added a 24 yard touchdown reception.  J. Blank returned one punt for 15 yards.  Michael Mayer led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss.  J. Raisbeck added three solo and one assisted tackles.  Jack Coldiron recorded three solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards.  T. Reusch added two solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards.  J. Thieman and A. Mahaney each recovered a fumble and A. Isler intercepted a pass he returned 15 yards.

A. Rice led Woodford County’s ground game with 37 yards on 10 carries.  L. Guadagni completed one of four passes for three yards.  S. Johnson caught a three yard pass.  A. Rice returned three kickoffs for 57 yards with a long return of 25 yards.  #5 led the defense with six solo tackles.  G. Garrison added five solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a seven yard loss.  T. Brooks recorded four solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss.

Frederick Douglass defeated Pleasure Ridge Park by a score of 42-8.  Frederick Douglass recorded nine first downs and 380 yards of total offense.  The Broncos were penalized eight times for 86 yards.  Pleasure Ridge Park recorded 14 first downs and 174 yards of total offense.  They were penalized three times for 10 yards and lost a fumble.

Darius Neal led Douglass’ ground game with 71 yards and a touchdown on five carries.  Dekel Crowdus carried the ball once for 47 yards and a touchdown.  Cameron Jones completed eight of 11 passes for 234 yards and three touchdowns.  Dekel Crowdus caught three passes for 87 yards and two touchdowns.  Montaveon Bean added three receptions for 44 yards.  Haiden Hunt added a 90 yard touchdown reception.  Devin Neal led the defense with three solo and six assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss.  David Arnold added four solo and four assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.  Jayshaun Coffman recorded two solo and five assisted tackles.  Kenja Clay recovered a fumble.

Aaron Kennebrew led PRP’s ground game with 35 yards on 14 carries.  Maurice Sodja carried the ball 12 times for 27 yards and a touchdown.  Maurice Sodja completed 10 of 25 for 100 yards.  Sanjay Sivils caught four passes for 69 yards.  Sanjay Sivils returned three kickoffs for 52 yards with a long return of 24 yards.  Anthony Delgrado led the defense with three solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss.  Anthony Anderson added two solo and one assisted tackles.

Madison Central dominated both sides of the ball tonight in a 50-0 victory over Seneca.  Madison Central recorded nine first downs and 234 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized five times for 35 yards.  Seneca recorded seven first downs and 87 yards of total offense.  They were penalized five times for 25 yards, lost three fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.

Joe Burton led Madison Central’s ground game with 45 yards on seven carries.  Tre Taylor carried the ball twice for 21 yards and a touchdown.  Canon Scenters carried the ball twice for 18 yards.  Freddie Chenault added 13 yards and a touchdown on two carries.  Canon Scenters completed two of four passes for 40 yards and a touchdown.  Derrick Miller completed two of three passes for 78 yards.  Ben Snapp caught one pass for 57 yards.  Ashton Hulberg caught a 20 yard touchdown pass.  Jackson Juett led the defense with three solo and six assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.  John Collins added four assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  Ben Pinson recorded two solo tackles with his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.  Ben Snapp intercepted a pass he returned 59 yards for a touchdown.  Kenton Humphrey recovered a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown.  Trey Parks also recovered a fumble and Ashton Hulberg intercepted a pass.

Cobe White led Seneca’s ground game with 32 yards on seven carries.  Nathiel Evans carried the ball six times for 21 yards.  Kolby Richardson completed two of four passes for 14 yards with one interception.  Nathiel Evans completed one of two passes for 14 yards with one interception.  Jeremiah Santiago completed his only pass for 20 yards.  Mohamed Lowe led the defense with two solo and three assisted tackles.  Nathiel Evans added three solo tackles.  Cobe White recorded two solo and one assisted tackles.

Langston Jackson scored on a 12 yard run and Graham Wald converted on the extra point attempt with 2:17 left in the game to give Henry Clay a 21-14 victory over Boone County.  Henry Clay recorded 10 first downs and 198 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized nine times for 61 yards and had three passes intercepted.  Boone County recorded 11 first downs and 261 yards of total offense.  The Rebels were penalized 10 times for 80 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Langston Jackson led Henry Clay’s ground game with 60 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries.  Ashton Foos carried the ball three times for 30 yards.  Ashton Foos completed 11 of 19 passes for 118 yards with three interceptions.  Ramond Jackson caught seven passes for 75 yards.  Jakobi Godfrey added two receptions for 22 yards.  C. Maynard led the defense with three solo and 12 assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  T. Bodenbender led the defense with six solo and five assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling two yards.  Evan Curee added five solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss.  RJ Summers recorded three solo and five assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.  JantJe Wingo added four solo and one assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.  Trevor Miller recorded two solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss and intercepted two passes with 63 yards on the returns.  Derrious Jerry intercepted one pass he returned for 31 yards.

Conner’s defense held Lafayette to one first down and -39 yards of total offense in a 28-7 victory.  Conner recorded 18 first downs and 392 yards of total offense.  They were penalized 13 times for 124 yards, lost three fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.  Lafayette recorded one first down and -39 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized nine times for 64 yards and lost two fumbles.

C. Webster led Conner’s ground game with 164 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries.  Garrett Coghlan carried the ball 11 times for 59 yards.  T. Neiderman added 42 yards and a touchdown on two carries.  Jared Hicks completed eight of 14 passes for 87 yards with two interceptions.  T.
