Simon Kenton 38  Henry Clay 27 – Erik Brown led Simon Kenton’s ground game with 190 yards and one touchdown on 29 carries.

 

Johnson Central 49  Lafayette 12 – Dillon Preston carried the ball eight times for 89 yards and a touchdown to lead Johnson Central.

Lexington Catholic 21  Pulaski County 14 – Lexington Catholic QB Beau Allen completed 22 of 32 passes for 276 yards and a touchdown and ran for two more touchdowns.  Jackson Smith keyed the defense with three solo and five assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards.  Pulaski County’s Jake Sloan caught 14 passes for 192 yards.

 

Wayne County 41  Shelby County 30 – Braedon Sloan carried the ball 21 times for 228 yards and four touchdowns to lead Wayne County.

 

Apollo 66  Warren central 56 – Harold Hogg carried the ball 26 times for 192 yards and three touchdowns to lead Apollo.  D’Andre Boyd put up big numbers for Warren Central completing 28 of 45 passes for 461 yards and five touchdowns and carried the ball 22 times for 157 yards and three touchdowns.

Anderson County outscored Spencer County 28-6 in the second quarter on their way to a 42-13 victory.  Anderson County scored in a variety of ways including two touchdown runs, two touchdown passes, a score on an interception return, and a score on a blocked punt return.  Anderson County recorded 11 first downs and 287 yards of total offense.  They were penalized 13 times for 95 yards.  Spencer County recorded eight first downs and 252 yards of total offense.  They were penalized 13 times for 95 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Kynan Russell led Anderson County’s ground game with 82 yards on nine carries.  Zach Labhart carried the ball 12 times for 68 yards.  Jagger Gillis scored twice on one yard touchdown runs.  Jagger Gillis completed three of seven passes for 131 yards and two touchdowns.  Kynan Russell caught two passes for 71 yards and a touchdown.  Zach Labhart caught a 60 yard touchdown pass.  Darien Dearinger led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards.  Chase Fink added four solo and three assisted tackles.  Zach Labhart recorded two solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards and scored on a five yard blocked punt return.  Kynan Russell recovered a fumble he returned for 12 yards and scored on a 40 yard interception return.

Chris Rollier led Spencer County’s ground game with 62 yards on five carries.  Seth Thompson carried the ball 10 times for 62 yards.  Gabe Boling added 13 yards and a touchdown on four carries.  Colton Price completed five of eight passes for 125 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Lawrence McLemore caught three passes for 13 yards.  Charlie Cook caught a 56 yard touchdown pass.  Jaxon McLendon added one reception for 48 yards.  Lawrence McLemore returned five kickoffs for 95 yards with a long return of 25 yards.  Seth Thompson led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles.  Lawrence McLemore added three solo and one assisted tackles.  Kayden Nelson recorded three solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss.

Turnovers doomed Madison Central tonight as Conner pulled away in the final quarter to earn a 27-6 victory.    Conner recorded 14 first downs and 247 yards of total offense.  They were penalized six times for 44 yards.  Madison Central recorded eight first downs and 222 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized six times for 60 yards, lost a fumble and had three passes intercepted.

Colten Roy led Conner’s ground game with 50 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.  Doug Abdon carried the ball 12 times for 34 yards.  Jared Hicks added 10 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.  Jared Hicks completed 13 of 29 passes for 150 yards and two touchdowns.  Colten Roy caught six passes for 69 yards.  Doug Abdon added three receptions for seven yards.  Justin Daniels recorded two receptions for 41 yards and a touchdown.  Drew Siegmundt added two receptions for 16 yards and a touchdown.  Justin Daniels returned two kickoffs for 49 yards including a long return of 33 yards.  Parker Hitzfield led the defense with four solo and four assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards and intercepted a pass.  Clayton Melcher added three solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss.  Timothy Pieprecht recorded one solo and four assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 10 yards.  Chase Kurtz chipped in with four solo tackles and Stanley Crawley intercepted a pass he returned nine yards.

Joe Burton led Madison Central’s ground game with 58 yards and sa touchdown on 18 carries.  Ashton Hulberg carried the ball three times for 55 yards.  Canon Scenters completed nine of 18 passes for 111 yards with three interceptions.  Zach Holbrook caught four passes for 59 yards.  John Landsaw caught two passes for 48 yards.  Joe Burton returned four kickoffs for 82 yards with a long return of 27 yards.  Edgren Sweat led the defense with five solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a five yard loss.  Deashon Gowdey added three solo and two assisted tackles.  Kris Olinger also recorded three solo and two assisted tackles.  Trey Parks added two solo tackles with his tackles resulting in losses totaling 14 yards.

A veteran Tates Creek team just had too much firepower tonight and defeated Madison Southern by a score of 39-7.  Commodore QB Luke Duby was on target all night and threw for 338 yards and four touchdowns.  Tates Creek recorded 17 first downs and 429 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized four times for 40 yards and lost a fumble.  Madison Southern recorded 12 first downs and 311 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized eight times for 65 yards and lost a fumble.

Luke Duby led Tates Creek’s ground game with 40 yards on three carries.  Marcus Bosley and Cion Townsend each scored a touchdown on the ground.  Luke Duby completed 18 of 22 passes for 338 yards and four touchdowns.  Miles Thomas continues to impress as he caught four passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns.  Willie McGhee added three receptions for 72 yards.  Cion Townsend and Spencer Waller each caught a touchdown pass.  Isaiah McFarland led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards.  Marcus Bosley added five solo and three assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards.  JT Acosta recorded three solo and four assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards.  Migisa Dhemani recovered a fumble.

Cam Holbrook led Madison Southern’s ground game with 70 yards on seven carries.  Jayshaun Ethridge carried the ball five times for 21 yards.  Tobias Storm completed 12 of 21 passes for 213 yards and one touchdown.  Walt Smith caught four passes for 97 yards.  Jayshaun Ethridge added four receptions for 90 yards and a touchdown.  Jayshaun Ethridge returned three kickoffs for 55 yards with a long return of 33 yards.  Clay Bunch led the defense with three solo and six assisted tackles.  Broc Parmer added four solo and three assisted tackles.  Walt Smith recovered a fumble he returned for 17 yards.

DeSales scored first to take a 7-0 lead with 7:10 left in the first quarter but St. Xavier scored 38 unanswered points to earn a 38-7 victory over the Colts.  St. Xavier recorded 14 first downs and 342 yards of total offense.  The Tigers were penalized four times for 57 yards.  DeSales recorded 14 first downs and 247 yards of total offense.  The Colts were penalized nine times for 123 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Logan Davis led the St. Xavier ground game with 28 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries.  Justin Walsh carried the ball nine times for 25 yards.  Douglas Bodhine completed 12 of 18 passes for 293 yards and two touchdowns.  Michael Duddy caught three passes for 97 yards and a touchdown.  Elijah Byrne added three receptions for 94 yards and two touchdowns.  Mekhi Smith recorded three receptions for 82 yards.  Mekhi Smith returned one kickoff for 31 yards.  Hale Bohler led the defense with five solo and five assisted tackles with one fumble recovery.  Zane Peckenpaugh added five solo and four assisted tackles.  William Motley recorded four solo and four assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Michael Huff recovered a fumble.

Antione Johnson led DeSales’ ground game with 45 yards on 10 carries.  Demarcus Avery carried the ball 17 times for 44 yards.  James Johnson added 29 yards on seven carries.  Demarcus Avery completed seven of 13 passes for 100 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Demetri Scott caught three passes for 29 yards.  Jason Higdon added one reception for 47 yards.  Jayden Scroggin caught a five yard touchdown pass.  Naytion Daniels returned five kickoffs for 98 yards with a long return of 27 yards.  Darren Hollenkamp and Lance Weiter led the defense with four solo tackles each.  Ebenezer Griffith added three solo tackles with those tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards.  Demetri Scott also recorded three solo tackles.

Covington Catholic utilized an efficient offense and a ball hawking defense to earn a 37-0 shut out of Ryle.  Covington Catholic recorded 12 first downs and 309 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized three times for 71 yards and had two passes intercepted.  Ryle recorded five first downs and 79 yards of total offense.  The Raiders were penalized five times for 24 yards and had five passes intercepted.

Owen Nally led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 44 yards on eight carries.  Daniel Felix carried the ball six times for 32 yards and two touchdowns.  Caleb Jacob completed 12 of 23 passes for 207 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions.  Michael Mayer caught two passes for 106 yards and two touchdowns.  Jack Stava added two receptions for 44 yards.  Michael Boydston caught a 10 yard touchdown pass.  Daniel Felix led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles.  Michael Mayer added six solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Andy Molique intercepted a pass he returned 51 yards.  Noah Powers, Charlie Sora, and Jack Raisbeck each intercepted a pass.  Trey Gronette kicked off seven times for a 58.3 average and three touchbacks, kicked a 34 yard field goal, and was four of five on extra point attempts.

Kyle England led Ryle’s ground game with 37 yards on 17 carries.  Bradyn Lyons completed six of 24 passes for 67 yards with five interceptions.  Elijah Cusick caught two passes for 31 yards.  Connor Lee added two receptions for 26 yards.  Jonathan Coker returned two kickoffs for 53 yards with a long return of 29 yards.  Luke Bradshaw led the defense with six solo tackles.  Dillion Talmon added four solo tackles.  Henry Rains and Ryan Planck each intercepted a pass.

Frederick Douglass lived up to their lofty ranking with a dominating 43-0 opening game win over Bryan Station.  Frederick Douglass recorded 20 first downs and 327 yards of total offense.  The Broncos were penalized seven times for 58 yards and lost a fumble.  Bryan Station recorded seven first downs and 97 yards of total offense.  The Defenders were penalized eight times for 95 yards and lost two fumbles.

Josh McClurg led Frederick Douglass’ ground game with 87 yards on nine carries.  Darius Neal carried the ball 11 times for 63 yards and a touchdown.  Devin Neal recorded 34 yards on three carries.  Cameron Dunn chipped in with 32 yards and a touchdown on five carries.  Jaylin Bybee scored on a nine yard touchdown run.  Josh McClurg completed five of eight passes for 96 yards and two touchdowns.  Dane Key caught three passes for 69 yards and a touchdown.  Jakari Cowherd added a 21 yard touchdown reception.  Dane Key returned four punts for 73 yards including a 60 yard return for a touchdown.  R. Thompson led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles.  R. Warner added two solo and five assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.  Connor Farley recorded three solo tackles and recovered two fumbles.

Amodeus Taylor led Bryan Station’s ground game with 39 yards on nine carries.  Terrick Mulder completed three of 15 passes for 35 yards.  Dadrien Taylor caught one pass for 26 yards.  Amodeus Taylor returned four kickoffs for 54 yards with a long return of 19 yards.  Bryson Fields led the defense with eight solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a five yard loss.  Rachid Doumbia added two solo and two assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.

Lexington Catholic trailed 14-0 at halftime but rallied in the second half behind the play of Beau Allen and some big defensive plays to defeat Pulaski County by a score of 21-14.  Lexington Catholic recorded 20 first downs and 333 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized six times for 62 yards.  Pulaski County recorded 22 first downs and 439 yards of total offense but turnovers and penalties doomed the Maroons tonight.  Pulaski County was penalized nine times for 169 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Ryan Nichols led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 32 yards on 11 carries.  Beau Allen carried the ball 18 times for 22 yards and two touchdowns.  Beau Allen completed 22 of 32 passes for 276 yards and a touchdown.  JD Woodall caught five passes for 51 yards.  Blake Busson added four receptions for 70 yards.  Jackson Klein recorded three receptions for 30 yards.  Jackson Corbett caught three passes for 28 yards.  Dylan Bracken added three receptions for 19 yards and a touchdown.  Jack Monday caught two passes for 46 yards.  Ryan Gallagher led the defense with eight solo and one assisted tackles.  Teddy Bullock recorded six solo and one assisted tackles.  Jackson Smith recorded three solo and five assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards.  Jack Powell chipped in with three solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a nine yard loss.  JD Woodall and John Simms each intercepted a pass and Jackson Corbett recovered a fumble.

Drew Polston led Pulaski County’s ground game with 89 yards on 14 carries.  Drew Polston completed 25 of 44 passes for 286 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions.  Jake Sloan caught 14 passes for 192 yards.  Grant Oakes added four receptions for 46 yards.  Jacob Shepherd caught a 52 yard touchdown pass.  Kaleb Adams returned two kickoffs for 69 yards with a long return of 53 yards.  Konner Hargis led the defense with eight solo and two assisted tackles.  Jacob Shepherd added seven solo tackles.  Layton Abbott recorded five solo and one assisted tackles.

The Simon Kenton defense intercepted four passes and recovered two fumbles on their way to a 38-27 victory over Henry Clay.  Simon Kenton recorded 21 first downs and 342 yards of total offense.  The Pioneers were penalized twice for 15 yards and lost two fumbles.  Henry Clay recorded 13 first downs and 332 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized nine times for 58 yards, lost two fumbles and had four passes intercepted.

Erik Brown led Simon Kenton’s ground game with 190 yards and a touchdown on 29 carries.  Chase Crone carried the ball 23 times for 72 yards and two touchdowns.  Chase Crone completed seven of 10 passes for 49 yards and a touchdown.  Erik Brown completed one of two passes for 30 yards and a touchdown.  Kody Sims caught four passes for 21 yards.  Landon Mayer added one reception for 30 yards and a touchdown.  Trey Little caught a six yard touchdown pass.  Jack Milton led the defense with five solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards.  Tyler Parks recorded three solo tackles and intercepted a pass.  Aric Hoffman added two solo tackles, recovered a fumble, and intercepted a pass he returned 13 yards.  Tyler Musick also intercepted a pass and Jake Teten intercepted a pass he returned 20 yards.

DJ VanHorn led Henry Clay’s ground game with 123 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.  DJ VanHorn completed 15 of 23 passes for 196 yards and two touchdowns with four interceptions.  Preston Stack caught six passes for 60 yards.  Jakobi Godfrey added five receptions for 78 yards and one touchdown.  Ashton Foos added two receptions for 24 yards and a touchdown.  Colton Reynolds returned four kickoffs for 73 yards with a long return of 27 yards.  Graham Wald punted once for 62 yards.  Jackson Henderson led the defense with eight solo and six assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 21 yards and recovered a fumble.  Chris Dabney added nine solo and two assisted tackles.  Robert Crosby recorded nine solo and two assisted tackles with four of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 14 yards.  William Webb chipped in with eight solo and two assisted tackles.  Jordan Kimball recorded three solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards and scored on a 63 yard fumble return.

Dillon Preston led Johnson Central’s ground game with 89 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.  Ethan Reynolds carried the ball three times for 58 yards and a touchdown.  Devin Johnson recorded 50 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.  Cody Rice carried the ball six times for 39 yards and a touchdown.  Bryce Tackett added 37 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries.  Riley Preece completed five of seven passes for 99 yards.  Zach Russell caught two passes for 51 yards.  Seth Dalton added one reception for 35 yards.  Cody Rice led the defense with three solo tackles and scored on a 44 yard interception return.  Jacob Cain added two solo and one assisted tackles.  Devin Johnson recorded two solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an eight yard loss.

Tanner Pace led Lafayette’s ground game with 11 yards on two carries.  Drake Nelson completed five of 13 passes for 72 yards with one interception.  Tanner Pace completed five of eight passes for 107 yards with one touchdown.  Noah Curtsinger caught five passes for 145 yards and a touchdown.  Austin Anderson returned three kickoffs for 79 yards with a long return of 27 yards.  JaeWON Kendrick returned one kickoff for 34 yards.  Jaylen Lawson led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards.  Malik Bryant added six solo tackles.  Elijah Stone recovered a fumble he returned 12 yards.
