Paul Laurence Dunbar led 17-8 after the first quarter in a 54-35 victory over Lafayette.  Dunbar shot 40.5% from the field including seven of 18 from the three point line.  The Lady Bulldogs connected on 13 of 22 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 20 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 27.3% from the field including two of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Generals connected on nine of 12 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 14 Dunbar turnovers.

 

Elise Ellison-Coons led Paul Laurence Dunbar with 19 points including six of eight free throws, eight rebounds, and three steals.  Aziah Campbell added 16 points including three three point baskets, five of seven free throws, three rebounds, and three assists.  5-5 Sr. DelTarria Jackson recorded eight points including two three point baskets, and two assists.

Walton-Verona pulled away in the second half to defeat Scott County by the score of 72-46.  Walton-Verona shot 43.5% from the field including seven of 17 from the three point line.  The Lady Bearcats connected on 11 of 13 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 19 Scott County turnovers.  Scott County shot 29% from the field including three of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cardinals connected on seven of 11 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 18 Walton-Verona turnovers.

 

5-8 So. Grace Brewer led a balanced Walton-Verona scoring attack with 15 points and three steals.  Kylie Lay added 13 points and six rebounds.  Audrey Carrico recorded nine points, seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals.  Paige Heuser chipped in with nine points and six rebounds.  Maggie Buerger added eight points and seven rebounds.  Haylee Neeley recorded eight points, two rebounds, and two steals.  6-0 Sr. Anastasia Schneider pulled down eight rebounds.

 

Emma Price led Scott County with 18 points including two three point baskets, eight rebounds, and four steals.  Maleiyah Moore added eight points and four rebounds.  5-6 So. Tyra Young recorded seven points.  Kenady Tompkins chipped in with six points and eight rebounds.  Kaylie Wise pulled down 10 rebounds, and recorded three steals.

Madison Southern trailed 12 points midway through the second quarter and 53-49 after three quarters but rallied to defeat Letcher County Central by the score of 66-63.  The score was tied three times and there were four lead changes in the game.  Madison Southern shot 51.2% from the field including six of 13 from the three point line.  The Lady Eagles connected on 16 of 22 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 25 Letcher County Central turnovers.  Letcher County Central shot 59.1% from the field including eight of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cougars connected on three of eight free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 21 Madison Southern turnovers.

 

Samantha Cornelison led Madison Southern with 21 points including two three point baskets, 11 of 13 free throws, three rebounds, six assists, and four steals.  5-11 Jr. Macie Daniels added 16 points and four rebounds.  Daniels was six of eight from the field including one of one from beyond the arc, three of four free throws, and four rebounds.  Lacie Parks recorded nine points, four assists, and three steals.  Reece Estep chipped in with seven points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Bella Moberly recorded seven points, three rebounds, and two steals.
