Southeast Missouri coach Rekha Patterson started the following lineup:  5-10 Sr. Tesia Thompson, 5-8 So. Sophie Bussard, 6-4 Sr. Latrese Saine, 5-7 Jr. Terri Smith, and 5-8 So. Roshala Scott.  Eastern Kentucky University coach Samantha Williams countered with 6-2 Sr. Jayla Johnson, 5-11 Sr. Bria Bass, 6-3 So. Emma Hacker, 5-9 Fr. Alice Recanati, and 5-10 Fr. Kendall Wingler.

 

The third quarter proved to again be Eastern Kentucky’s Achilles heel as the score was tied 29-29 at halftime but the Colonels were outscored 13-6 in the third quarter as SEMO earned a 61-55 victory.  The score was tied four times and there were three lead changes in the game.  SEMO shot 36.5% from the field including four of 17 from the three point line.  The Redhawks connected on 11 of 13 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 21 EKU turnovers.  EKU shot 41.1% from the field including four of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on five of five free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 15 SEMO turnovers.

 

Tesia Thompson led SEMO with 18 points including five of seven free throws, six rebounds, three assists, three blocked shots, and three steals.  Roshala Scott added 15 points, three rebounds, six assists, and three steals.  Latrese Saine recorded 10 points, 11 rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Terri Smith chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets, four assists, and two steals. 

 

Jayla Johnson led EKU with 19 points, seven rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Kendall Wingler added 15 points, four rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Alice Recanati recorded two points, six rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots.

Triniti Ralston, and 5-6 Sr.Maggie Montano.  North Laurel coach Eddie Mahan Jr. countered with 5-10 8th Grade Halle Collins, 5-8 Jr. Emily Sizemore, 6-1 Fr. Chloe McKnight, 5-3 8th Grade Brooke Nickelson, and 5-7 Jr. Hailee Valentine.

 

Sacred Heart Academy defeated North Laurel by the score of 87-76.  Sacred Heart Academy shot 54.7% from the field including six of 12 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on 11 of 19 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 14 North Laurel turnovers.  North Laurel shot 40% from the field including five of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Jaguars connected on 23 of 30 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored seven points off 15 Sacred Heart turnovers.

 

Josie Gilvin recorded a triple double, 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists to lead Sacred Heart Academy.  Reagan Bender added 19 points, five rebounds, and six assists.  Triniti Ralston recorded 13 points including four of five free throws, three rebounds, and three assists.  5-11 Fr. Angelina Pelayo chipped in with 12 points and seven rebounds.

 

Hailee Valentine led North Laurel with 22 points including three three point baskets, three rebounds, and four assists.  Emily Sizemore added 20 points including nine of 11 free throws, four rebounds, and three steals.  Chloe McKnight recorded 18 points and four rebounds.  Halle Collins added 16 points, 14 rebounds, and three assists.

Evan Ipsaro, and 6-3 Jr. Walker Horn.  Trinity coach Mike Szabo countered with 6-2 Sr. Ethan Hodge, 6-1 Jr.Miles Franklin, 6-4 Sr. Will McMillan, 5-11 So. CJ Walls, and 5-11 Sr. Dudley Cox.

 

Covington Catholic outscored Trinity 17-9 in the third quarter to take a 42-36 lead then survived a furious Trinity rally to earn a 51-50 victory.  Covington Catholic shot a sizzling 61.8% from the field including four of seven from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on five of eight free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and committed 14 turnovers.  Trinity shot 41.5% from the field including seven of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Shamrocks connected on nine of 10 free throws, pulled down 14 rebounds, and committed 10 turnovers.

 

Evan Ipsaro led Covington Catholic with 14 points and four assists.  Ipsaro was six of seven from the field including one of one beyond the arc and one of two free throws.  Chandler Starks added 12 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Mitchell Rylee recorded 11 points, three rebound, three assists, and three blocked shots.  Walker Horn chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets.

 

6-2 So. Cam McClain led Trinity with 13 points including three three point baskets.  Will McMillan added 12 points.  Ethan Hodge recorded nine points.  6-2 Sr. Zach Stahlman chipped in with eight points including four of four free throws and five rebounds.  CJ Walls also scored eight points including two three point baskets.

Lexington Catholic pulled away in the second half to defeat Lafayette by the score of 51-39.  There were six lead changes and four ties in this game.  Lexington Catholic shot 33.3% from the field including three of 12 from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on 26 of 26 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 22 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 25.6% from the field including four of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Generals connected on 13 of 16 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored nine points off 15 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

 

Katherine Truitt led Lexington Catholic with 15 points including six of eight free throws, four rebounds, two assists,.and four steals.  Farah Weldon added nine points including five of five free throws, five rebounds, and two steals.  Hannah Carlisle recorded nine points, five assists, and four steals.  Chloe Treece chipped in with five points, nine rebounds, two assists, and four steals.  5-8 So. Eastern Kentucky exploded tonight for 20 three point baskets in a 113-73 victory over UT Martin.  Eastern Kentucky University shot 60% from the field including 20 of 37 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on nine of 10 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 22 UT Martin turnovers.  UT Martin shot 42.4% from the field including two of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Skyhawks connected on 21 of 26 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 12 Eastern Kentucky University turnovers.

 

Wendell Green Jr. led Eastern Kentucky University with 25 points including four three point baskets, two rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  Michael Moreno added 23 points including five three point baskets.  Moreno was nine of 10 from the field including five of six from beyond the arc.  6-6 Fr. Devontae Blanton recorded 19 points including three three point baskets and five rebounds.  Blanton was six of seven from the field including three of four from beyond the arc, and four of four free throws.  Curt Lewis added 19 points including three three point baskets and four rebounds.  Lewis was seven of nine from the field including three of four from beyond the arc, and two of three from the free throw line.  Cooper Robb chipped in with eight points, five rebounds, and six assists.

 

Cameron Holden led UT Martin with 20 points including 12 of 16 free throws, 13 rebounds, seven assists, and two steals.  6-7 Fr. Chelsey Perry led UT Martin with 22 points including two three point baskets, eight rebounds, four assists, two blocks, and two steals.  Maddie Waldrop added nine points, six rebounds, and five assists.  5-7 Jr. Kyannah Grant recorded nine points on three three point baskets, four rebounds, and two assists.  Dasia Young chipped in with eight points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Seygan Robbins recorded six points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and five assists.

Franklin County survived a good Berea team to earn a 63-58 overtime victory.  Franklin County shot 40% from the field including four of 12 from the three point line.  The Lady Flyers connected on 19 of 30 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and committed seven turnovers.  Berea committed seven turnovers.  Berea shot 47.5% from the field including four of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Pirates connected on 16 of 25 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and committed 20 turnovers.

 

5-6 Sr. Brooklynn Miles led Franklin County with 23 points including 10 of 15 free throws, two assists, and three steals.  5-10 Jr. Patience Laster added 15 points including six of eight free throws, seven rebounds, and two blocked shots.  5-5 Jr. Shauvi Kennedy recorded nine points, two rebounds, and three steals.  5-4 Jr. Nevaeh Carter chipped in with eight points, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals.

 

6-0 Jr. Madison Howell led Berea with 25 points including two three point baskets, seven of 10 free throws, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  5-9 So. Chesney Lovins added 10 points and eight rebounds.  5-8 Jr. Alexis Newman recorded eight points and eight rebounds.  5-7 So. Abigail Beard chipped in with seven points.
