Kamarion Robinson scored on a 1 yard run and Ryan O’Hara kicked the extra point with 36 seconds left on the clock and Kaylib Nelson intercepted a Tates Creek pass in the closing seconds to give Paul Laurence Dunbar a 41-34 victory.  Tates Creek led 26-14 in the third quarter and held a 34-27 lead with 5:29 left in the game but Dunbar rallied for the victory.  Dunbar recorded 26 first downs and 486 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized six times for 40 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.  Tates Creek recorded 15 first downs and 344 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized 11 times for 85 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Kamarion Robinson led Dunbar’s ground game with 188 yards and four touchdowns on 25 carries.  Justin Bayubahe carried the ball seven times for 90 yards and a touchdown.  Noah Chapman added 63 yards on seven carries.  Cole Colony chipped in with 59 yards on 19 carries.  Cole Colony completed five of 12 passes for 60 yards and one touchdown with one interception.  Erik White caught three passes for 16 yards and J. Kazadi added a 39 yard touchdown reception.  Noah Chapman returned two kickoffs for 58 yards with a long return of 46 yards.  Kaylib Nelson returned three kickoffs for 34 yards with a long return of 18 yards.  J. Kazadi led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles.  John Law added four solo and one assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards.  Justin Bayubahe recorded two solo and five assisted tackles.  Sam Turley recovered a fumble and Kaylib Nelson intercepted a pass.

Aliyon Blevins led Tates Creek’s ground game with 110 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries.  Andrew Witherington completed 15 of 23 passes for 212 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.  Marquevion Smith caught six passes for 128 yards and two touchdowns.  Ke’shon Douthitt added three receptions for 30 yards.  Theo Jones recorded two receptions for 39 yards and a touchdown.  Ke’shon Douthitt returned one punt for 33 yards and Kobe Middleton returned three kickoffs for 83 yards with a long return of 46 yards.  Logan Julian led the defense with 13 solo and three assisted tackles.  Thomas Seigler added eight solo and four assisted tackles.  Devin Dansby recorded seven solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an 11 yard loss.  Anthony Ravizee chipped in with four solo and six assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards and recovered a fumble.  Theo Jones added one solo and five assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.

Lexington Christian Academy defeated Washington County by the score of 68-7.  LCA recorded 14 first downs and 389 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized once for 10 yards.  Washington County recorded five first downs and 16 yards of total offense.  They had two passes intercepted.

Xavier Brown led LCA’s ground game with 121 yards and two touchdowns on three carries.  Saxton Howard carried the ball three times for 75 yards and one touchdown.  Drew Nieves carried the ball once for 41 yards and a touchdown.  Evan Thompson also ran for a touchdown.  Drew Nieves completed seven of eight passes for 118 yards and three touchdowns.  Mason Moore caught three passes for 62 yards and a touchdown.  Jeffrey Selby added two receptions for 26 yards and a touchdown.  Parker Chaney caught one pass for 25 yards and a touchdown.  Jeffrey Selby led the defense with three solo and two assisted tackles.  Major Brown added two solo and three assisted tackles.  Elijah Hammond recorded one solo and three assisted tackles.  Will Orberson and Evan Brown each returned intercepted passes for a touchdown.

Ashland Blazer avenged an earlier loss to Russell with a 52-42 shootout victory on the Red Devils’s home field.  It was a study of contrasts as Ashland relied on their punishing ground game while Russell depended on their potent air attack.  Ashland Blazer recorded 21 first downs and 523 yards of total offense.  The Tomcats were penalized nine times for 50 yards and lost a fumble.   Russell recorded 15 first downs and 502 yards of total offense.  The Red Devils were penalized five times for 45 yards, lost a fumble, and intercepted a pass.

Vinnie Palladino led Ashland’s ground game with 242 yards and three touchdowns on 28 carries.  Bailey Thacker carried the ball seven times for 68 yards and a touchdown.  Ricky Padron recorded 37 yards on five carries.  Bailey Thacker completed eight of 13 passes for 164 yards and two touchdowns.  Ricky Padron caught five passes for 135 yards and two touchdowns.  Sawyer Edens led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles.  Isaiah Ingram added five solo and three assisted tackles.  Jordan Jones recorded three solo and four assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  Ricky Padron intercepted a pass he returned for 35 yards.

Andrew Richardson-Crews led Russell’s ground game with 106 yards and one touchdown on 12 carries.  Bradley Rose completed 17 of 27 passes for 327 yards and four touchdowns with one interception.  Mason Lykins completed his only pass for a 67 yard touchdown pass.  Carson Patrick caught 10 passes for 226 yards and three touchdowns.  Doug Oborne added four receptions for 144 yards and two touchdowns.

Rockcastle County survived a wild finish to defeat Garrard County by the score of 36-30.  It appeared that Garrard County had tied the game in the closing seconds but it was ruled that QB Montavin Quisenberry was beyond the line of scrimmage when he threw a completion to the end zone for what appeared to be the tying score.  Rockcastle County recorded 24 first downs and 312 yards of total offense.  The Rockets were penalized three times for 30 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  Garrard County recorded 18 first downs and 355 yards of total offense.  The Golden Lions were penalized nine times for 67 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Matthew Chasteen led Rockcastle County’s ground game with 229 yards and two touchdowns on 32 carries.  Cameron Wright carried the ball five times for 37 yards and two touchdowns.  Cameron Wright completed two of four passes for 23 yards with one interception.  Caleb Moore completed his only pass for nine yards.  Landon Dillingham caught two passes for 30 yards.  Landon Dillingham returned one punt for 25 yards.  Caleb Moore returned three kickoffs for 57 yards.  Matthew Chasteen led the defense with five solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses.  Landon Dillingham added three solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a loss.  Dillingham also intercepted a pass he returned 82 yards for a touchdown.  Jake Sanders recorded two solo and five assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a loss.

Montavin Quisenberry led Garrard County’s ground game with 251 yards and three touchdowns on 28 carries.  Montavin Quisenberry completed eight of 15 passes for 80 yards with one interception.  Hayden Elleman caught two passes for 36 yards.  Maishaun Baker added one reception for 33 yards.  Austin Adams returned two kickoffs for 33 yards.  James Parsons led the defense with six solo and 10 assisted tackles.  James Sparks added three solo and eight assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses.  Maishaun Baker recorded two solo and eight assisted tackles.  Montavin Quisenberry chipped in with two solo and four assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.

Covington Catholic utilized a ground-and-pound attack tonight to dominate Highlands in a 38-8 victory.  Covington Catholic recorded 369 yards and five touchdowns and averaged 7.2 yards per carry.  Covington Catholic recorded 24 first downs and 453 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized five times for 35 yards.  Highlands recorded eight first downs and 160 yards of total offense.  The Bluebirds were penalized three times for 20 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Reid Hummel led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 154 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries.  Preston Agee carried the ball 21 times for 144 yards and three touchdowns.  Brayden Collins added 55 yards on eight carries.  Adam Holtz also scored a touchdown on the ground.  Preston Agee completed six of eight passes for 84 yards.  Zion Mason caught three passes for 41 yards.  Trevor Wilson caught one pass for 32 yards.  Reid Hummel returned one kickoff for 15 yards.  David Sullivan led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pas   Oliver Bent added three solo tackles.  Dallas Wirth also intercepted a pass.

Charlie Noon led Highlands’ ground game with 23 yards on two carries.  Cameron Bottom completed 13 of 24 passes for 129 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions.  Logan Henry caught five passes for a minus two yards.  Charlie Noon added four receptions for 79 yards.  Matteo Matteoli  added a 28 yard touchdown reception.  Charlie Noon returned one punt for nine yards.  Isaac Surrey returned three kickoffs for 28 yards.  Logan Henry returned two kickoffs for 33 yards.  Adam Dunn led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles.  TreVaughn Woods and Henry King each recorded five solo and one assisted tackles.  Isaac Surrey, Noah Hodge, George King, and Oliver Harris each recorded four solo tackles.

Paul Laurence Dunbar eked out a 21-19 victory over upset minded Lafayette tonight.  Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded 20 first downs and 277 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized eight times for 104 yards and lost two fumbles.  Lafayette recorded 16 first downs and 317 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized 17 times for 161 yards, lost two fumbles, and had one pass intercepted.

Cole Colony led Dunbar’s ground game with 108 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries.  Kamarion Robinson carried the ball 22 times for 65 yards and a touchdown.  Cole Colony completed seven of 15 passes for 69 yards and one touchdown.  Erik White caught two passes for 15 yards.  J. Biggerstaff caught one pass for 32 yards and a touchdown.  Justin Bayubahe led the defense with five solo tackles.  Kaylib Nelson added four solo tackles.  K. Miller recorded two solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an eight yard loss.  Grant Angel added two solo tackles and recovered two fumbles.  Manning Baker intercepted a pass. 

Tanner Pace led Lafayette’s ground game with 106 yards on 15 carries. Lucas Doneghy carried the ball eight times for 72 yards.  Dez Hanley added 50 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.  Tanner Pace completed seven of 14 passes for 93 yards and one touchdown with one interception.  Derreon Stewart caught five passes for 49 yards.  Lucas Doneghy added two receptions for 44 yards and a touchdown.  E. Laurance returned one punt for 19 yards.  JaeWON Kendrick returned two kickoffs for 67 yards with a long return of 50 yards.  Bond Jacobs led the defense with 13 solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling two yards.  Caleb Bryant added eight solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a five yard loss.  E. Laurance recorded four solo and one assisted tackles and scored on a 35 yard fumble recovery return.  D. Jackson also recorded four solo and one assisted tackles.  Bryson Baker recovered a fumble.

Madison Central rebounded from a sound defeat at Southwestern last week to playing perhaps their best game of the season with a 42-9 victory over Oldham County.  Madison Central recorded 18 first downs and 422 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized 11 times for 118 yards.  Oldham County recorded 10 first downs and 234 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized three times for 15 yards, lost three fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.

Brady Hensley led Madison Central’s ground game with 168 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries.  Adrien Parks carried the ball 13 times for 62 yards.  Hagan Harrison completed six of 10 passes for 156 yards and two touchdowns.  Jayden West caught two passes for 95 yards and a touchdown.  Travis Grant added two receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown.  Brady Hensley recorded two receptions for 21 yards.  Kyran Jackson led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss.  Hayden Kiser added three solo and one assisted tackles.  Brock Eads recorded two solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss and recovered a fumble.  Jeffrey Kinley recovered a fumble he returned 35 yards for a touchdown..  Andre Smith recovered a fumble he returned for 25 yards and also intercepted a pass.

Sam Young led Oldham County’s ground game with 35 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.  Trent Garrison carried the ball seven times for 13 yards.  Caden Sheppard chipped in with 11 yards on two carries.  Sam Young completed 10 of 24 passes for 169 yards with two interceptions.  Travis Edgar caught two passes for 84 yards.  Jacob Davis added two receptions for 23 yards.  Justin Ruffin also caught two passes for 17 yards.  Trent Garrison returned five kickoffs for 106 yards with a long return of 39 yards.  Tre Cotton led the defense with five solo and seven assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss.  Brian Monteleone added two solo and seven assisted tackles .  Dustin Keown recorded one solo and eight assisted tackles.  Wesley Rios-Lara chipped in with three solo and five assisted tackles.
