East Carter captured their first district title since 1983 with a 26-16 victory over Ashland Blazer.  East Carter recorded 19 first downs and 362 yards of total offense.  The Raiders were penalized three times for 15 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.  Ashland Blazer recorded 13 first downs and 317 yards of total offense.  The Tomcats were penalized three times for 20 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Charlie Terry led East Carter’s ground game with 190 yards and four touchdowns on 33 carries.  Kanyon Kozee carried the ball 12 times for 72 yards.  Kanyon Kozee completed seven of 12 passes for 110 yards with one interception.  Connor Goodman caught four passes for 79 yards.  Rylan Yoak led the defense with one solo and six assisted tackles.  Kanyon Kozee added three solo and three assisted tackles.  Izack Messer recorded one solo and five assisted tackles.  Gabe Roberts and Charlie Terry each recovered a fumble and Connor Goodman intercepted a pass.

Vinnie Palladino led Ashland Blazer’s ground game with 124 yards and one touchdown on 16 carries.  Brett Mullins carried the ball seven times for 50 yards.  Bailey Thacker recorded 45 yards on five carries.  Bailey Thacker completed six of nine passes for 90 yards and a touchdown.  Ricky Padron caught three passes for 55 yards and a touchdown.  Jared Brown added two receptions for 26 yards.  Sawyer Edens led the defense with 12 solo and six assisted tackles.  Isaiah Ingram added six solo and seven assisted tackles.  Ricky Padron recorded eight solo tackles and intercepted a pass.  Brett Mullins and Jackson Billups each recovered a fumble.

Lexington Christian Academy remains undefeated with a 61-13 victory over Danville.  LCA recorded 20 first downs and 505 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized seven times for 60 yards.  Danville recorded 11 first downs and 213 yards of total offense.  The Admirals were penalized twice for 15 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Xavier Brown led LCA’s ground game with 171 yards and three touchdowns on eight carries.  JVeontae Emerson carried the ball seven times for 60 yards and a touchdown.  Saxton Howard added 52 yards and a touchdown on one carry.  Jeremiah Riffle recorded 18 yards and one touchdown on three carries.  Drew Nieves completed eight of 15 passes for 133 yards and a touchdown.  Jeremiah Riffle and Frankie Knight each returned a kickoff for 21 and 20 yards respectively.  Elijah Hammond led the defense with four solo tackles.  Major Brown added two solo and four assisted tackles.  Tyler Morris recorded two solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses.  Mason Moore intercepted a pass he returned 40 yards for a touchdown.  Will Orberson intercepted a pass he returned 50 yards for a touchdown.

Braidin Baughman led Danville’s ground game with 66 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.  Demauriah Brown added 58 yards on 12 carries.  Brady Morse completed eight of 19 passes for 110yards and one touchdown with two interceptions.  Demauriah Brown caught four passes for 60 yards and a touchdown.  Corydon Crawford added two receptions for 35 yards.  Ryan Clarkson returned two kickoffs for 35 yards.  Corydon Crawford returned one kickoff for 21 yards.  Braidin Baughman led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles  Richard Norris added three solo and two assisted tackles.  Corydon Crawford recorded three solo and one assisted tackles.

West Carter advanced with a 27-19 victory over Martin County.  West Carter recorded 17 first downs and 358 yards of total offense.  The Comets were penalized seven times for 60 yards.  Martin County recorded 13 first downs and 332 yards of total offense (all on the ground).  The Cardinals were penalized three times for 29 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Cole Crampton led the West Carter ground game with 185 yards and two touchdowns on 37 carries.  Eli Estepp completed seven of 18 passes for 160 yards and two touchdowns.  Jackson Bond caught five passes for 115 yards and one touchdown.  Sam Jones caught a 28 yard touchdown pass.  Blake McClone led the defense with two solo and seven assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Neil Lusher added four solo and three assisted tackles.  Jake Barker also intercepted a pass.

Kolby Sparks led Martin County’s ground game with 178 yards and one touchdown on 16 carries.  Dawson Mills added 94 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries.  Branson Smith carried the ball six times for 47 yards.  Jason Maynard was zero for three with two interceptions in the passing department.

Paducah Tilghman trailed 28-7 in the third quarter but rallied to defeat Union County 31-28 on a 27 yard field goal by Nolan Waller with four seconds remaining on the clock.  Paducah Tilghman recorded 22 first downs and 378 yards of total offense.  They were penalized seven times for 35 yards, lost a fumble, and had three passes intercepted.  Union County recorded 14 first downs and 280 yards of total offense.  They were penalized 12 times for 90 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Malachi Ridder led Paducah Tilghman’s ground game with 133 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries.  Jack James completed 19 of 35 passes for 226 yards and three touchdowns with three interceptions.  Camdon Marshall caught 10 passes for 118 yards and two touchdowns.  Brian Thomas added three receptions for 78 yards and a touchdown.  Uriah Virzi led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles.  Brian Thomas added four solo tackles.  Camdon Marshall intercepted a pass.

Logan County survived a wild 39-37 victory over Hopkinsville to advance in the playoffs.  Logan County held a comfortable 33-17 lead after three quarters but Hopkinsville rallied to pull within 2; 39-37 with 13 seconds remaining on a one yard run by Tre Jefferson.  Jefferson attempted to run it for the two point conversion but was ruled short despite protests from the Hopkinsville sideline.  Hopkinsville recovered an onside kick with 8 seconds on the clock but a last second pass was broken up and Logan County escaped with the victory.  Logan County recorded 16 first downs and 412 yards of total offense.  They were penalized 12 times for 125 yards.  Hopkinsville recorded 19 first downs and 326 yards of total offense.  The Tigers were penalized 11 times for 95 yards.

Covington Catholic defeated Conner by the score of 35-14.  Covington Catholic recorded 18 first downs and 414 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized four times for 25 yards.  Conner recorded eight first downs and 208 yards of total offense.  The Cougars were penalized once for 15 yards.

Reid Hummel led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 131 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries.  Preston Agee carried the ball 20 times for 127 yards and two touchdowns.  Preston Agee completed six of 11 passes for 117 yards.  Adam Holtz caught three passes for 65 yards.  David Sullivan added two receptions for 39 yards.  Brayden Collins led the defense with four solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss.  Colin Gastright added four solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.  Zion Mason recorded four solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling two yards.

Alex Castrucci led Conner’s ground game with 52 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries.  Alex Castrucci completed seven of nine passes for 150 yards and one touchdown.  Alijah Thompson caught four passes for 115 yards and one touchdown.  Cody Crawford added two receptions for 33 yards.  Clayton Melcher returned four kickoffs for 83 yards with a long return of 32 yards.  Ben Fay led the defense with seven solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss.  Mason Delph added six solo tackles.  Carter Lindemann recorded five solo and one assisted tackles.

Boyle County dominated tonight in a 47-13 victory over Lexington Catholic.  Boyle County raced out to a 41-0 halftime lead and was never threatened.  They recorded 16 first downs and 402 yards of total offense.  The Rebels were penalized three times for 29 yards and lost two fumbles.  Lexington Catholic recorded seven first downs and 103 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized twice for 14 yards.

Avery Bodner led Boyle County’s ground game with 156 yards and one touchdown on 13 carries.  Jagger Gillis carried the ball eight times for 69 yards and three touchdowns.  Cole Lanter recorded 43 yards and a touchdown on five carries.  Dalton Stone chipped in with 25 yards and a touchdown on four carries.  Jagger Gillis completed six of eight passes for 144 yards and one touchdown.  Cole Lanter caught four passes for 52 yards.  Trey Lanter added a 79 yard touchdown reception.  Daulton Peetz led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards.  Cole Sims added four solo and one assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 21 yards.  Jayce Crowe recorded three solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a nine yard loss.

Walker Hall led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 56 yards on 13 carries.  Blake Busson carried the ball six times for 40 yards and two touchdowns.  Jack Gohmann completed two of 12 passes for 15 yards.  Jack Monday caught one pass for 18 yards.  San Clements returned two kickoffs for 23 yards with a long return of 19 yards.  Gavin Klein led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss.  Cannon Mackley led one solo and five assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  S. Bennington recorded two solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss.  Patrick Davis chipped in with two solo and one assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.

Frederick Douglass raced out to a 28-7 first quarter lead on their way to a 48-7 victory over Scott County.  Frederick Douglass recorded 12 first downs and 299 yards of total offense.  The Broncos were penalized seven times for 96 yards.  Scott County recorded 14 first downs and 214 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized twice for 10 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

TJ Horton led Frederick Douglass’ ground game with 45 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.  Samuel Cornett completed 11 of 14 passes for 184 yards and three touchdowns.  Cameron Dunn caught six passes for 67 yards and a touchdown.  Ty Bryant added one reception for a 51 yard touchdown.  Tylon Webb added a 43 yard touchdown reception.  Ty Bryant returned one punt for 23 yards.  Dane Key returned two kickoffs for 108 yards with a long return of 80 yards and a touchdown.  Isaiah Kennedy punted four times for a 35.2 average with a long punt of 43 yards with two punts inside the 20 yard line.  Ty Bryant led the defense with seven solo tackles and recovered a fumble for a touchdown.  Isaiah Kennedy added six solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss.  Jalen Hand recorded five solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a six yard loss.  Ahmar Clark recovered a fumble and Terrion Hicks intercepted a pass.

Luke Colvin led Scott County’s ground game with 70 yards on 15 carries.  Ellis Hughley carried the ball 10 times for 56 yards.  Jeremy Hamilton recorded 44 yards and a touchdown on three carries.  Andrew Hickey completed six of 15 passes for 49 yards with one interception.  Jeremy Hamilton and Ellis Hughley each caught three passes for 29 and 20 yards respectively.  Jeremy Hamilton returned two kickoffs for 54 yards with a long return of 32 yards.  Logan Jones returned one kickoff for 34 yards.  Elijah Adams led the defense with five solo and three assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards.  Jaxon Saylor added four solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss.  Luke Valencia recorded two solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.

Madison Central utilized their ground-and-pound offense mixed with a couple of long aerial strikes and a relentless pass rush led by Edgren Sweat and Kyran Jackson to avenge an earlier loss to defeat Bryan Station by the score of 41-18.  Madison Central recorded 17 first downs and 376 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized 11 times for 123 yards and had two passes intercepted.  Bryan Station recorded 13 first downs and 264 yards of total offense.  The Defenders were penalized 12 times for 115 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Brady Hensley led Madison Central’s ground game with 166 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries.  Hagan Harrison carried the ball six times for 110 yards and two touchdowns.  Hagan Harrison completed two of six passes for 76 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions.  Bradley Hensley and Jayden West caught touchdown receptions of 40 and 36 yards respectively.  Jayden West returned two kickoffs for 80 yards including a long return of 63 yards which occurred on opening kickoff and set the tone for the game.  Ayden Pierson led the defense with seven solo and five assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  Jeffrey Kinley added four solo and four assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling two yards.  Kyran Jackson recorded four solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards.  Edgren Sweat added one solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 10 yard loss.  Logan Pierson, Hayden Kiser, Brock Eads, and Caden Ellington all had tackles resulting in loss of yardage and Eads intercepted a pass.

Jeremiah Mundy-Lloyd led Bryan Station’s ground game with 24 yards on nine carries.  Trenton Cutwright added a rushing touchdown.  Trenton Cutwright completed 17 of 27 passes for 236 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  J’Marious Lindsay caught six passes for 70 yards and a touchdown.  Javoen Hurt added four receptions for 99 yards.  Tylin Israel added two receptions for 35 yards.  Amodeus Taylor returned two kickoffs for 31 yards with a long return of 25 yards.  Javoen Hurt returned two kickoffs for 35 yards with a long return of 20 yards.  Jason Hocker led the defense with three solo and eight assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards.  Yedideyah Sledge and Antonio Davis each recorded one solo and six assisted tackles.  Jahvon Frazier added two solo and four assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.  Amarjae Mitchell intercepted two passes.
