Simon Kenton coach Jeff Stowers started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Belle Bach, 5-10 Jr. Emilee Eggleston, 6-0 Sr. Sereniti Webb, 5-4 Sr. Alexis Baker, and 5-7 7th Grade Brynli Pernell.  Franklin County coach Joey Thacker countered with 5-10 Sr. Patience Laster, 5-9 Jr. Jazmin Chambers, 6-4 Jr. Jhaven Meade, 5-5 Sr. Nevaeh Carter, and 5-7 Fr. Cameryn Ridderikhoff.

 

Franklin County raced out to a 14-3 first quarter lead on their way to a 54-31 victory over Simon Kenton.  Franklin County shot 38.9% from the field including three of 14 from the three point line.  The Lady Flyers connected on nine of 19 free throws, pulled down 48 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 17 Simon Kenton turnovers.  Simon Kenton shot 21.4% from the field including four of 29 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Pioneers connected on three of eight free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 16 Franklin County turnovers.

 

Patience Laster led Franklin County with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Jazmin Chambers added 11 points and three assists.  Nevaeh Carter recorded eight points, five rebounds, eight assists, and three steals. 

 

Alexis Baker led Simon Kenton with 13 points including three three point baskets and two steals.  Sereniti Webb added six points, 10 rebounds, two assists, three blocked shots, and two steals.  Emilee Eggleston recorded six points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Great Crossing defeated Lexington Christian Academy by the score of 73-63.  Great Crossing shot 49.1% from the field including five of 15 from the three point line.  The Warhawks connected on 12 of 26 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored nine points off seven Lexington Christian Academy turnovers.  Lexington Christian Academy shot 42.35 from the field including nine of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on 10 of 13 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored nine points off eight Great Crossing turnovers.

 

Malachi Moreno led Great Crossing with 19 points, 15 rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Carson Walls added 12 points including five of seven free throws and three assists.  Vince Dawson III recorded 11 points, five rebounds, and three assists.  6-3 Jr. Tye Schureman chipped in with nine points.

 

Brayden Mirus led Lexington Christian Academy with 18 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and three assists.  Tyler Hall added 16 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.  6-0 Jr. Connor Martin recorded nine points on three three point baskets.  6-0 Fr. Holy Cross coach Casey Sorrell started the following lineup: 6-4 Sr. Dylan Arlinghaus, 6-1 Jr. Jacob Meyer, 6-10 Jr. Sam Gibson, 5-7 Sr. Zach Arlinghaus, and 5-8 Jr. Javier Ward.  Frederick Douglass coach Jason Moseley countered with 6-7 Jr. Tyson Barrett, 6-0 Jr. Taylon Webb, 6-7 Sr. Shemar O’Roy Ford, 5-5 Fr. Melo Boone, and 5-11 Jr. Kai Simpson.

 

Frederick Douglass trailed 53-45 after three quarters but Cameron Dunn scored on a put-back basket in the closing seconds to give the Broncos a 69-67 victory over Covington Holy Cross.  Frederick Douglass shot 35.6% from the field including five of 21 from the three point line.  The Broncos connected on 22 of 31 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 12 Holy Cross turnovers.  Holy Cross shot 40.3% from the field including five of 27 from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on 12  of 23 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 14 Frederick Douglass turnovers.

 

Tylon Webb led Frederick Douglass with 14 points including four of five free throws, eight rebounds, and two assists.  Kai Simpson added 12 points and seven rebounds.  5-10 Fr. Aveion Chenault recorded 12 points and seven rebounds.  5-11 Jr. Cameron Dunn chipped in with 11 points and two steals.  Shemar O’Roy Ford pulled down eight rebounds.

Nick Mosby led Scott County with 20 points including four three point baskets, three rebounds, six assists, and two steals.  Isaiah Haynes added 17 points and four rebounds.  6-4 So.
