Berea coach Dammian Stepp started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Chesney Lovins, 5-8 Sr. Alexis Newman, 6-0 Sr. Mackenzie Howell, 5-6 Sr. Mati Stepp, and 5-7 Jr. Abigail Beard. Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 5-7 Jr. Tyra Young, 5-6 Fr. Maleiyah Moore, 6-1 Sr. Kenady Tompkins, 5-4 Sr. Brianna Penney, and 5-6 Sr. Emma Price.
Scott County defeated Berea by the score of 64-45. Scott County shot 43.5% from the field including eight of 18 from the three point line. The Lady Cardinals connected on 16 of 24 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 16 Berea turnovers. Berea shot 41.5% from the field including six of 20 from beyond the arc. The Lady Pirates connected on five of 15 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored six points off eight Scott County turnovers.
Kenady Tompkins led Scott County with 25 points including nine of 13 free throws, 13 rebounds, three assists, three blocked shots, and two steals. Emma Price added 12 points on four three point baskets, three rebounds, and three assists. Tyra Young recorded 10 points including four of five free throws, five rebounds, and three steals.
Chesney Lovins led Berea with 10 points and 10 rebounds. 5-7 So. Sophie Brewer added eight points including two three point baskets. Mati Stepp recorded seven points including two three point baskets and two assists. 5-1 So. Maddy King chipped in with seven points.
