Belmont Local Union coach Louis Stolzda started the following lineup: 6-1 Jr. Torre Kildow, 5-7 Sr. Kiera Gregor, 6-0 Jr. Reagan Vinskovich, 5-2 Jr. Emmy Kellaway, and 5-7 Sr. Hannah Merritt.  Cincinnati Purcell Marian coach Jamar Mosley countered with 5-8 So. Cincinnati Purcell Marian defeated Belmont Union Local by the score of 59-43.  CPM led by three at halftime but pulled away in the second half.  There were four ties and six lead changes in this game.  CPM shot 43.6% from the field including three of 18 from the three point line.  The Lady Cavaliers connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 16 BUL turnovers.  BUL shot 28.1% from the field including four of 23 from beyond the arc.  The Jets connected on seven of nine free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 14 CPM turnovers.

 

Dee Alexander led CPM with 19 points including three of four free throws, 13 rebounds, four assists, and two blocked shots.  Jayda Mosley added 18 points including two three point baskets, seven rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Ky’Aira Miller recorded 11 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and three steals. 

 

Reagan Vinskovich led BUL with 13 points including three of four free throws, and eight rebounds.  Torre Kildow added 13 points, six rebounds, three blocked shots, and two steals.  Hannah Merritt recorded 11 points including three three point baskets, three rebounds, and two assists.  Keira Gregor pulled down eight rebounds.

Worthington Christian raced out to a 17-4 first quarter lead on their way to a 55-24 victory over Apple Creek Waynedale.  WCH shot 27.5% from the field including eight of 25 from the three point line.  The Warriors connected on 11 of 15 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 16 ACW turnovers.  ACW shot 21.4% from the field including one of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Golden Bears connected on five of 10 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored seven points off 10 WCH turnovers.

 

Megan Weakley led WCH with 16 points including four three point baskets and two rebounds.  Meghan Mayotte added 14 points including six of six free throws, six rebounds, three blocked shots, and three steals.  Jaeda Tagoe recorded eight points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  Blessing King added six points, 12 rebounds, three assists, four blocked shots, and two steals. 

 

Cherlyn Miller led ACW with six points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Sr. Kylie Nussbaum and So. McKenna Baney each scored five points.  Brooklyn Yoder pulled down six rebounds.

Thornville Sheridan coach Justin Walters started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Jamisyn Stinson, 5-9 Fr. Halle Warner, 6-1 Se. Thornville Sheridan defeated Norton 68-60 in overtime.  The second overtime ended in confusion as Morton’s Bailey Shutsa hit a 40 foot shot late for the apparent win but it was determined the shot came after the buzzer and the teams went to the third overtime where Thornville Sheridan outscored Norton 8-0 to finally earn the decision.  There were 11 ties and eight lead changes in this game.  Thornville Sheridan shot 37% from the field including seven of 15 from the three point line.  The Generals connected on 21 of 27 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 18 Norton turnovers.  Norton shot 35% from the field including eight of 24 from beyond the arc.  The Panthers connected on 10 of 19 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 20 Thornville Sheridan turnovers.

 

Jamisyn Stinson led Thornville Sheridan with 21 points including five three point baskets, five rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals.  Faith Stinson added 17 points including two three point baskets, five of six free throws, 11 rebounds, eight assists, and six blocked shots.  Halle Warner recorded 11 points including seven of eight free throws, and four rebounds.  Bailey Beckstedt chipped in with 10 points including six of eight free throws, two rebounds, and five assists.  5-11 So. Nora Saffell added seven points and 10 rebounds.

Kettering Archbishop Alter defeated Columbus Bishop Hartley by the score of 69-33.  Alter shot 46.4% from the field including eight of 23 from the three point line.  The Knights connected on nine of 14 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 29 points off 29 CBH turnovers.  CBH shot 27.9% from the field including two of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Hawks connected on seven of 14 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 22 Alter turnovers.

 

Riley Smith led Alter with 19 points including three three point baskets, eight rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Maddie Moody added 14 points, six rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Emma Hansley recorded six points on two three point baskets, six rebounds, four assists, and five steals.

Fr. Kendall Sury led a balanced Waterford scoring attack with eight points on three of four from the field and two of two from the free throw line.  Cara Taylor added seven points, six rebounds, four assists, and four steals.  Mackenzie Suprano recorded six points on two three point baskets, five rebounds, and three assists.  Lilly Franchino chipped in with six points on two three point baskets.  Avery Wagner recorded three points, eight rebounds, two assists, and four blocked shots.

Sacred Heart Academy dialed up an excellent defensive performance tonight to earn the championship with a 64-46 victory over Bullitt East.  Sacred Heart shot 47.4% from the field including two of nine from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on 26 of 36 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 31 points off 27 Bullitt East turnovers.  Bullitt East shot 36.7% from the field including one of eight from beyond the arc.  The Lady Chargers connected on 23 of 33 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 17 Sacred Heart turnovers.

The score was tied 35-35 after three quarters but Southwestern pulled away in the final quarter for a 47-40 victory over Franklin County.  The win may have been costly for the Warriors as Makayla Noritis who had been having an excellent tournament went down with an ankle sprain in the closing seconds of the game.  The score was tied nine times and there were nine lead changes in this game.  Southwestern shot 35.3% from the field including six of 23 from the three point line.  The Warriors connected on five of eight free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 17 points on 10 Franklin County turnovers.  Franklin County shot 29.7% from the field including two of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Flyers connected on 16 of 21 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored two points off four Southwestern  turnovers.

George Rogers Clark defeated Corbin by the score of 42-35.  There were two ties and six lead changes in the game.  GRC shot 34.2% from the field including four of 11 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 12 of 22 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored four points off 11 Corbin turnovers.  Corbin shot 27.1% from the field including three of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Redhounds connected on six of seven free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 19 GRC turnovers.

 

Ciara Byars led GRC with 21 points, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Kennedy Stamper added 10 points including two three point baskets and 10 rebounds.  Tyra Flowers recorded three points, 11 rebounds, three assists, and three blocked shots.

 

Darcie Anderson led Corbin with 13 points, two rebounds, and two steals.  Kallie Housley added 10 points.  Shelby Stewart recorded eight points, five rebounds, and two steals.
