Woodford County coach Jaron Brown started the following lineup: 6-3 So. Makhi Smith, 6-2 Sr. Aden Nelson, 6-4 Jr. Righteous Harris, 5-9 So. Santonio Waide, and 6-5 So. Jasper Johnson. LCA coach Ted Hall countered with 6-1 So. Andersen Green, 6-0 Sr. Connor Martin, 6-3 Sr. Tyler Hall, 5-10 So. Hagan Preston, and 6-0 Jr. Brayden Mirus.
LCA eked out a hard-earned 71-67 victory over Woodford County. The score was tied 11 times and there were 18 lead changes in the game. LCA shot 53.7% from the field including six of 14 from the three point line. The Eagles connected on 21 of 32 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 15 Woodford County turnovers. Woodford County shot 50% from the field including five of 20 from beyond the arc. The Yellow Jackets connected on 10 of 20 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored eight points off 14 LCA turnovers.
Hagan Preston led LCA with 19 points including 11 of 14 free throws and seven rebounds. Andersen Green added 14 points and five rebounds. Connor Martin recorded 13 points including three three point baskets, six rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Tyler Hall added 12 points, six rebounds, and three assists. 5-10 So. Saxton Howard chipped in with 10 points and two steals.
Jasper Johnson led Woodford County with 26 points including four three point baskets, four rebounds, three assists, and four steals. Santonio Waide added 13 points, four rebounds, and three steals. Aden Nelson recorded 12 points and nine rebounds.
