Graves County coach Lyndon Dunning started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Lilly Hayden, 5-10 Sr. Conlee Spann, 6-2 Sr. Carley Riley, 5-7 So. Hannah Glisson, and 5-8 Jr. Morgan Alexander. Rockcastle County coach Chrysti Noble countered with 6-0 Sr. Keelee King, 5-10 Jr. Camryn Cash, 6-1 Jr. Talynne Shearer, 5-3 Sr. Karlee Smith, and 5-4 Jr. Haven King.

Rockcastle County defeated Graves County 69-64 in overtime. The score was tied six times and there were nine lead changes in the game. Rockcastle County shot 39.6% from the field including six of 17 from the three point line. The Lady Rockets connected on 21 of 28 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 17 Graves County turnovers. Graves County shot 41.8% from the field including six of 19 from beyond the arc. The Lady Eagles connected on 12 of 16 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored eight points off 14 Rockcastle County turnovers.

Talynne Shearer led Rockcastle County with 21 points including nine of 12 free throws, 10 rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots, and three steals. 5-10 Fr. Taylor King added 17 points including six of eight free throws, six rebounds, six assists, and three steals. Karlee Smith recorded 11 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and five assists.

Hannah Glisson led Graves County with 19 points including eight of eight free throws, seven rebounds, eight assists, and three steals. Morgan Alexander added 19 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, three assists, and four steals. Conlee Spann recorded 12 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Carley Riley pulled down 10 rebounds.

Lafayette coach Allison Tate Denton started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Tess Nelson, 5-8 So. Belle Combs, 5-11 So. Savannah Simpson, 5-5 Fr. Anna ClayDepen Denton, and 5-5 Sr. Gracyn Grantz. Conner coach Michelle Gambrel countered with 5-7 Jr. Aubrey Fisher, 5-4 Sr. Kelsee Simpson, 5-11 Sr. Juliet Strange, 5-5 Sr. Emily McGraw, and 5-7 Jr. Anna Hamilton.

Conner won a close 44-40 decision over Lafayette. Conner shot 38.5% from the field including seven of 19 from the three point line. The Lady Cougars connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 21 Lafayette turnovers. Lafayette shot 31% from the field including five of 18 from beyond the arc. The Lady Generals connected on nine of 15 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 22 Conner turnovers.

Anna Hamilton led Conner with 21 points including five three point baskets and four rebounds. Juliet Strange added 10 points, six rebounds, five assists, and five steals. Kelsee Simpson recorded four points, 10 rebounds, and five steals.

5-5 So. Abbey Popham led Lafayette with 11 points including four of five free throws. Tess Nelson added nine points on three three point baskets and four rebounds. Savannah Simpson recorded eight points, eight rebounds, and two assists. 5-3 8th Grade Layla Flynn chipped in with seven points and two steals. 5-10 Jr. Jackie Tishibangi added five points, four rebounds, and three steals.

South Oldham coach Gene Heffington started the following lineup: 5-8 Jr. Ella Morrison, 5-7 Jr. Chloe John, 5-7 Jr. Sydney Hall, 5-5 8th Grade Grace Turner, and 5-5 Fr. Jaelyn Money. (South Oldham has been decimated with injuries and illness with several players missing today’s game). Madison Central coach Scott True countered with 5-9 Sr. Chloe Freeman, 5-6 So. Nataya Strader, 5-10 Jr. Bailey Hensley, 5-7 So. Brittany Campbell, and 5-5 Jr. Eden Carter.

Madison Central scored 34 points off 29 South Oldham turnovers in a 61-22 victory, Madison Central shot 45.6% from the field including four of 12 from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on five of 11 free throws and pulled down 36 rebounds. South Oldham shot 19.4% from the field including one of 19 from beyond the arc. The Lady Dragons connected on nine of 14 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored six points off 15 Madison Central turnovers.

Bailey Hensley led Madison Central with 14 points, six rebounds, and two steals. Eden Carter added 13 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and four steals. Brittany Campbell recorded 11 points, four rebounds, five assists, and three steals. Chloe Freeman chipped in with six points on two three point baskets and two steals. Nataya Strader added five points, three rebounds, and four steals. Brooke Campbell recorded five points, three rebounds, and three steals.

Ella Morrison led South Oldham with 12 points, three rebounds, and two steals. Grace Turner added four points.

Bullitt East scored a touchdown and a two point conversion with 53 seconds remaining on the clock to give Bullitt East a 28-27 victory over Male. The two point play that produced the game winner was known as “Cheesesteak” and was Travis Egan took the hand off flipped the ball to Camron Brogan who flipped the ball back to Nolan Davenport who found Travis Egan in the corner of the end zone for the reception. Bullitt East recorded 22 first downs and 405 yards of total offense. The Chargers were penalized three times for 20 yards and lost two fumbles. Male recorded 15 first downs and 389 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs were penalized nine times for 60 yards and lost a fumble.

Travis Egan led Bullitt East’s ground game with 66 yards on 21 carries. Mason Gauthier carried the ball 12 times for 48 yards. Travis Egan completed 20 of 29 passes for 286 yards and four touchdowns. Nolan Davenport caught eight passes for 66 yards and one touchdown. Camron Brogan added seven receptions for 171 yards and two touchdowns. Mason Gauthier recorded five receptions for 49 yards and a touchdown. Braxton Joslin led the defense with three solo and six assisted tackles. Isaiah Hare, Ryan Rayhill, and Ryan Still each recorded three solo and five assisted tackles. Tyler Redmon added four solo and two assisted tackles. Baron Hardesty recovered a fumble.

Daniel Swinney led Male’s ground game with 118 yards on 22 carries. Lucas Cobler carried the ball 18 times for 76 yards. Lucas Cobler completed 14 of 21 passes for 188 yards and two touchdowns. Max Gainey caught 10 passes for 153 yards and a touchdown. A. Vrbancic caught a 27 yard touchdown reception. Max Gainey returned two punts for 12 yards with a long return of 10 yards. Kevin Wilson returned three kickoffs for 22 yards with a long return of 11 yards. Lance Gossett kicked field goals of 37 and 25 yards, three of three extra points, punted twice for a 45 yard average with a long punt of 55 yards with one inside the 20 yard line, and kicked off six times with six touchbacks. Kevin Wilson led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles. S, Conley added four solo and five assisted tackles. Romel Sheffield recorded five solo and two assisted tackles and DeShaun Cooper chipped in with five solo tackles. D. Malone recorded three solo and four assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 18 yards. K. Mattingly added three solo and two assisted tackles and scored on a 16 yard fumble recovery return. B. Strickland added three solo and two assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.

The score was tied 7-7 at halftime but Frederick Douglass pulled away after the intermission to defeat Bowling Green 28-7 to finish the season 15-0 and earn their first state title. Fredrick Douglass recorded 17 first downs and 345 yards of total offense. The Broncos were penalized five times for 50 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted. Bowling Green recorded 16 first downs and 282 yards of total offense. The Purples were penalized four times for 43 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

TJ Horton led Frederick Douglass’ ground game with 108 yards on 15 carries. DeVaun Hart carried the ball 12 times for 52 yards. Ty Bryant recorded 42 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Cole Carpenter completed 13 of 17 passes for 149 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. Cameron Dunn caught six passes for 24 yards and a touchdown. Tylon Webb added three receptions for 94 yards and a touchdown. Thomas Howard recorded two receptions for 24 yards and a touchdown. TJ Horton returned one kickoff for 33 yards. Cooper Ranvier kicked four of four extra points, punted three times for a 37.3 average with two kicks inside the 20. and kicked off five times for a 58.4 average and three touchbacks. Tresean Benford led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses of 13 yards. Darion Neal added four solo and one assisted tackles. Isaiah Kenney intercepted a pass he returned for four yards and Ty Bryant intercepted a pass he returned 16 yards. Brandon Brooks recovered a fumble he returned for five yards.

Deuce Bailey led Bowling Green’s ground game with 49 yards on nine carries. J. Huddleston carried the ball eight times for 27 yards. Deuce Bailey completed 16 of 36 passes for 205 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions. J. Huddleston caught six passes for 32 yards and one touchdown. Easton Barlow added four receptions for 63 yards. C. Sweeney recorded two receptions for 47 yards. Trevy Barber caught two passes for 30 yards. Trevy Barber and Bert Kibawa each returne a kickoff for 17 and 15 yards respectively. G. Newman led the defense with seven solo and six assisted tackles. Bert Kibawa added three solo and five assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss. Jordan Green chipped in with three solo and three assisted tackles. Wick Dotson recorded three solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss and intercepted a pass. Mekhi Axson recovered a fumble.

Christian Academy pulled away in the second half for a 38-0 victory over Bardstown. CAL recorded 18 first downs and 452 yards of total offense. The Centurions were penalized twice for 10 yards and lost a fumble. Bardstown recorded 13 first downs and 235 yards of total offense. They were penalized once for five yards, lost a fumble, and had one pass intercepted.

Gavin Copenhaver led CAL’s ground game with 225 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries. Cole Hodge carried the ball 10 times for 42 yards. Cole Hodge completed 12 of 22 passes for 172 yards and three touchdowns. Connor Hodge caught five passes for 64 yards and a touchdown. Trey Cotton added three receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown. Justin Ruffin recorded three receptions for 24 yards. Malachi Embers caught a 13 yard touchdown pass. Connor Hodge returned three punts for 82 yards with a long return of 43 yards. Trey Cotton returned one kickoff for 19 yards. J. Barrickman kicked a 34 yard field goal, three of four extra points, kicked off seven times for a 57.6 average with four touchbacks. Gavin Copenhaver led the defense with nine solo and four assisted tackles. N. Heidenreich added five solo and one assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 14 yards. McKade Battcher recorded four solo and three assisted tackles. Connor Hodge added four solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned eight yards. Riley Wence recovered a fumble.

Tyleeq Williams led Bardstown’s ground game with 94 yards on 25 carries. Kaden Stone carried the ball four times for 11 yards. Brayden Clark completed 11 of 20 passes for 121 yards with one interception. Shannon Tonge caught six passes for 73 yards. Tyleeq Williams added four receptions for 42 yards. Tyleeq Williams returned one kickoff for 16 yards. Boyle County defeated Corbin by the score of 32-26. Boyle County recorded 21 first downs and 363 yards of total offense. The Rebels were penalized nine times for 73 yards and had a pass intercepted. Corbin recorded 15 first downs and 299 yards of total offense. The Redhounds were penalized six times for 46 yards.

Sage Dawson led Boyle County’s ground game with 109 yards on 11 carries. Avery Bodner added 100 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries. Montavin Quisenberry carried the ball seven times for 54 yards and a touchdown. Tommy Ziesmer scored on a seven yard run. Sage Dawson completed eight of 12 passes for 69 yards and a touchdown. Avery Bodner completed his only pass for 24 yards and a touchdown. Montavin Quisenberry caught four passes for 12 yards. Jakei Tarter added two receptions for 19 yards. Keenan Stewart caught one pass for 27 yards. Sage Dawson and Cooper Brummett each caught a touchdown pass of 24 and 11 yards respectively. Beechwood held on the defeat Mayfield by the score of 14-13. Mayfield scored a touchdown with1:13 left on the clock but the extra point kick failed and Beechwood recovered the onside attempt. Alex Courtney took the handoff, broke two tackles and ran 43 yards to the Mayfield nine yard line to ensure the Beechwood victory. Beechwood recorded 13 first downs and 271 yards of total offense. The Tigers were penalized 10 times for 72 yards and lost a fumble. Mayfield recorded 13 first downs and 260 yard of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized eight times for 43 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Chase Flaherty led Beechwood’s ground game with 115 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries. Alex Courtney carried the ball twice for 43 yards. Clay Hayden completed seven of 16 passes for 116 yards and a touchdown. A. Robinson caught three passes for 59 yards. Liam McCormack added two receptions for 23 yards and a touchdown. Chase Flaherty and Luke Erdman each caught a pass for 18 and 16 yards respectively. Luke Erdman returned one kickoff for 15 yards. Austin Waddell led the defense with four solo and four assisted tackles. Landon Johnson added two solo and seven assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards. C. Craycraft recorded three solo and four assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 16 yards. Landon Aylor also recorded three solo and four assisted tackles.

Jutarious Starks led Mayfield’s ground game with 104 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries. Zane Cartwright carried the ball three times for 19 yards. Zane Cartwright completed 16 of 23 passes for 137 yards and a touchdown with one interception. Brajone Dabney caught six passes for 18 yards. Isaac Stevenson added four receptions for 39 yards and a touchdown. Ban Hite recorded two receptions for 43 yards. Gavin Jackson caught two passes for 25 yards. Brajone Dabney returned one kickoff for 22 yards. Ethan Kemp led the defense with 10 solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 14 yards. Isaac Stevenson added six solo and three assisted tackles. Ian Williams chipped in with three solo and one assisted tackles. Tre Jackson recorded three solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.

Pikeville got off to a quick start with an 85 yard touchdown run by Blake Birchfield and after a Raceland field goal got a big defensive play as Deonte Stevens scored on a 74 fumble recovery return to give Pikeville a 14-3 lead on their way to a 41-9 victory over Raceland. Pikeville recorded 16 first downs and 344 yards of total offense. The Panthers were penalized three times for 33 yards. Raceland recorded 13 first downs and 270 yards of total offense. The Rams were penalized three times for 25 yards and lost a fumble.

Blake Birchfield led Pikeville’s ground game with 231 yards and three touchdowns on 26 carries. Isaac Duty carried the ball six times for 20 yards and Carson Wright carried the ball once for six yards and a touchdown. Isaac Duty completed six of 10 passes for 70 yards and a touchdown. Wade Hensley caught three passes for 56 yards and a touchdown. Westin Bevins returned two kickoffs for 29 yards with as long return of 17 yards. Deonte Stevens led the defense with seven solo tackles and scored on a 74 yard fumble recovery return. Carson Wright added six solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards. B. Anthony and Luke Ray each recorded three solo and three assisted tackles.

Logan Lundy led Raceland’s ground game with 57 yards on 10 carries. Isaac Browning carried the ball eight times for 34 yards. Logan Lundy completed 11 of 27 passes for 159 yards and one touchdown. Mason Lykins caught five passes for 87 yards and one touchdown. Noah Wallace caught one pass for 36 yards. Isaac Browning returned three kickoffs for 77 yards with a long return of 36 yards. Mason Lykins returned two kickoffs for 49 yards with a long return of 33 yards. Jaxon Heighton returned on kickoff for 14 yards. Brayden Webb led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss. Noah Wallace added four solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss, Cameron Bell recorded three solo and three assisted tackles.

Scott County coach Steve Helton started the following lineup: 5-8 So. N’mya Summers, 5-8 Sr. Tyra Young, 6-0 Fr. Kierstin Young, 5-6 So. Maleiyah Young, and 5-7 Fr. Dymon Percell. Frederick Douglass coach Daryl Moberly countered with 5-9 Sr. Jermyra Christian, 5-9 8th Grade Jaelee Knowles, 5-9 So. Amaya Maxwell, 5-4 So. Kate Baker, and 5-7 So. Niah Rhodes.

Frederick Douglass outscored Scott County 31-13 in the third quarter to break open a close game in a 77-54 victory over Scott County. There were 10 lead changes and three ties in this game. Frederick Douglass shot 38.7% from the field including nine of 31 from the three point line. The Lady Broncos connected on 10 of 19 free throws, pulled down 48 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 19 Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 33.9% from the field including five of 18 from beyond the arc. The Lady Cardinals connected on seven of 14 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored seven points off 10 Frederick Douglass turnovers.

Niah Rhodes led Frederick Douglass with 25 points including four three point baskets and seven rebounds. Jermyra Christian added 13 points, five rebounds, five assists, and three steals. Kate Baker recorded 11 points including three three point baskets, three rebounds, and two steals. 6-2 Jr. Ayanna-Sarai Darrington added10 points and 16 rebounds. Jaelee Knowles recorded eight points, 12 rebounds, two assists, and three blocked shots.

Maleiyah Moore led Scott County with 18 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, and two assists. Tyra Young added 15 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, and two blocked shots. N’mya Summers recorded 12 points and six rebounds. 5-6 Fr. Belle Banner chipped in with nine points.
