Eastern won an offensive shootout over Paul Laurence Dunbar by the score of 48-42 in a game punctuated by offense (90 points 870 yards of total offense), turnovers (7) and penalties ( 25 for 278 yards). Eastern recorded 28 first downs and 525 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized 13 times for 133 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted. Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded 22 first downs and 335 yards oftotal offense. The Bulldogs were penalized 12 times for 145 yards, lost one fumble, and had three passes intercepted.

Cameron Russ led Eastern’s ground game with 84 yards and two touchdowns on six carries. Tristen Martin carried the ball 10 times for 47 yards. Joshua Shipley recorded 44 yards on 10 carries. Zane Wagner chipped in with 11 yards and a touchdown on four carries. Zane Wagner completed 23 of 37 passes for 339 yards and four touchdowns with two interceptions. Joshua Shipley caught 12 passes for 219 yards and three touchdowns. Tristen Martin added five receptions for 45 yards. Grayson Napier caught three receptions for 30 yards and a touchdown. Nathan Wagner caught one pass for 29 yards. Joshua Shipley returned four kickoffs for 104 yards with a long return of 31 yards. Cameron Russ returned two kickoffs for 79 yards with a long return of 52 yards. Lcory Points led the defense with nine solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss. Myles Bullitt added seven solo and two assisted tackles. Nathan Wagner recorded five solo and four assisted tackles. Cameron Russ chipped in with two solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards. Zane Wagner added three solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass. Grayson Napier intercepted a pass and returned it 19 yards. Joshua Shipley also intercepted a pass.

Noe Kayembe led Dunbar’s ground game with 90 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries. Ethan Teall completed 20 of 32 passes for 242 yards and two touchdowns with three interceptions. Steven Estepp completed his only pass for two yards and a touchdown. Trae Berry caught six passes for 62 yards and two touchdowns. Harrison Simpson added six receptions for 60 yards. Conner Norsworthy recorded four receptions for 75 yards and a touchdown. Mason VanDyke caught three passes for 41 yards. Harrison Simpson returned four kickoffs for 76 yards with a long return of 27 yards. Conner Norsworthy recorded two receptions for 59 yards with a long return of 47 yards. Mason VanDyke added one kickoff return for 14 yards. Colton Turlington led the defense with 10 solo and two assisted tackles. Aiden Davis added six solo and one assisted tackles. C. Martinez recorded five solo and one assisted tackles and Logan Pittmon chipped in with five solo tackles. Anthony Flynn added four solo tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 14 yards. Myles Martin scored on a 45 yard interception return. Moses Mafuta recovered a fumble.

Cooper overcame three turnovers to defeat Dixie Heights by the score of 21-14. The winning touchdown came midway throught the final quarter on an eight yard touchdown pass from Cam O’Hara to Isaiah Johnson who was closely defended but won the battle for the ball in the endzone. Cooper recorded 367 yards of total offense but had three turnovers. Dixie Heights recorded 248 yards of total offense and had two turnovers.

Keagan Maher led Cooper’s ground game with 160 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries. Cam O’Hara completed 14 of 22 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Isaiah Johnson caught six passes for 71 yards and two touchdowns. Austin Alexander added two receptions for 48 yards. Keagan Maher recorded three receptions for 47 yards. Malachi Ewell chipped in with three receptions for 46 yards. Jack Lonaker led the defense with five solo and six assisted tackles. Mason Stanton added three solo and four assisted tackles. Austin Alexander recorded five solo and one assisted tackles and recorded five sacks. Lucas Hughes chipped in with three solo and two assisted tackles. Austin Perriman and Isaac Brown each intercepted a pass.

Armani Gregg led Dixie Heights’ ground game with 73 yards on 12 carries. David Anderson carried the ball eight times for 22 yards. Armani Gregg completed 13 of 28 passes for 153 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions. Tyson Beach caught four passes for 91 yards and a touchdown. David Anderson added three receptions for 34 yards. Grant Johnson caught a six yard touchdown reception. Brach Rice led the defense with eight solo and four assisted tackles. Blake Dodds added three solo and seven assisted tackles. Grant Johnson recorded six solo and two assisted tackles. Max Neal chipped in with four solo and two assisted tackles. Tyson Beach recorded six solo tackles and recovered a fumble. Kabanza Mwamba recovered a fumble and also intercepted a pass.

Ryle defeated Simon Kenton 24-21 in a come-from-behind victory trailing 21-10 in the final quarter. The Raiders were trailing 21-16 late in the game when QB Logan Verax connected with Grady Reynolds on a six yard touchdown pass and a two point conversion pass to Reynolds in the closing seconds for the win. Ryle recorded 397 yards of total offense with three turnovers while Simon Kenton recorded 404 yards of total offense but suffered four turnovers.

Jacob Savage led Ryle’s ground game with 35 yards on eight carries. Logan Verax completed 37 of 64 passes for 372 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions. Grady Reynolds caught nine passes for 94 yards and a touchdown. Landon Lorms added 12 receptions for 84 yards and one touchdown. Dylan Lee recorded five receptions for 76 yards. JR Hayes chipped in with five receptions for 53 yards. Gavin Lyons caught three passes for 46 yards. Grady Reynolds led the defense with 12 solo and seven assisted tackles with four of his tackles resulting in losses. Jacob Savage added five solo and 13 assisted tackles. Beau Faul recorded four solo and five assisted tackles. Dillon Smith recorded one solo and seven assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 12 yards. Gavin Lyons recovered a fumble he returned 45 yards and Jason Yarbrough also recovered a fumble. LJ Warner recorded an interception. Josh Line came up big as he kicked field goals of 34, 44, and 37 yards.

Durell Turner led Simon Kenton’s ground game with 158 yards on 34 carries. Brady Lee carried the ball 17 times for 52 yards. Brady Lee completed 13 of 18 passes for 193 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions. Tysin Weaver caught six passes for 84 yards and a touchdown. Carter Blades caught one pass for 39 yards and a touchdown. Grayson Harris added five passes for 37 yards, Nathan Kitchens recorded one reception for 33 yards. Landon Brown led the defense with nine solo and one assisted tackles. Tucker Ober added seven solo and three assisted tackles. Nathan Kitchens recorded eight solo tackles. Hayden Blair chipped in with six solo and two assisted tackles. Aba Selm recorded five solo and two assisted tackles and recorded two sacks. Nathan Kitchens scored on a 46 yard interception return. Luke Schieber intercepted a pass he returned 13 yards. Brayden Schoberg also intercepted a pass.

Johnson Central defeated Ashland Blazer 36-33 in a game in which both offenses efficiently moved up and down the field. This was abig win for the Golden Eagles and handed Ashland Blazer their first loss of the year. Johnson Central recorded 22 first downs and 350 yards of total offense all on the ground and Ashland Blazer rolled up 323 yards of total offense and recorded 13 first downs.

Carter Conley led Johnson Central’s ground game with 106 yards and one touchdown on 19 carries. Logan Morrow carried the ball 24 times for 103 yards and two touchdowns. Christian Barnes recorded 80 yards on 16 carries. Logan Music added 63 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries. Ryan Rice recovered a fumble for the defense. The Golden Eagles only attempted one pass and it was incomplete.

Braxton Jennings led Ashland Blazer’s ground game with 47 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Atayveon Thomas added 39 yards on six carries. Maverick Ashby carried the ball three times for 13 yards and a touchdown. LaBryant Strader completed 10 of 17 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns. Braxton Jennings caught three passes for 70 yards and a touchdown. Cameron Davis added three receptions for 57 yards. Sam Lyons recorded a 55 yard scoring reception. Atayveon Thomas chipped in with two receptions for 30 yards.

Covington Catholic defeated Mason County by the score of 50-14. Covington Catholic recorded 22 first downs and 395 yards of total offense. The Colonels were penalized seven times for 55 yards and had one pass intercepted. Mason County recorded 12 first downs and 225 yards of total offense. The Royals were penalized three times for 21 yards and had one pass intercepted.

Owen Leen led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 84 yards on 13 carries. Evan Pitzer carried the ball 12 times for 71 yards and two touchdowns. Will Michels recorded 23 yards and a touchdown on five carries. Andrew Bessler carried the ball twice for seven yards and two touchdowns. Evan Pitzer completed 12 of 15 passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Braylon Miller caught four passes for 45 yards and a touchdown. Oliver Link added two receptions for 50 yards. Owen Leen recorded two receptions for 30 yards. Noah Johnson chipped in with two catches for 24 yards. Tate Kruer led the defense with eight solo and one assisted tackles. Cash Harney, Logan Sanning, and Ben Reeves each recorded four solo tackles. Dylan Gaiser scored on a 95 yard interception return.

Trey Walker and Bryce Moran each returned one kickoff for 24 and 17 yards respectively. Cole Horch led the defense with five solo tackles. Tates Creek defeated Henry Clay by the score of 35-6. Tates Creek recorded 15 first downs and 319 yards of total offense. The Commodores were penalized six times for 61 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted. Henry Clay recorded nine first downs and 171 yards of total offense. The Blue Devils were penalized four times for 41 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Marquevion Smith led Tates Creek’s ground game with 45 yards on eight carries. Detrell Johnson carried the ball once for 23 yards. Andrew Witherington recorded 13 yards and two touchdowns on four carries. Logan Julian carried the ball once for two yards and a touchdown. Andrew Witherington completed 21 of 29 passes for 223 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Marquevion Smith caught eight passes for 99 yards and a touchdown. Luke Cooper added five receptions for 58 yards. Senator Clay recorded three receptions for 37 yards and a touchdown. Senator Clay returned one kickoff for 42 yards. Emmanuel Castro was five of five on conversion kicks and punted twice for a 48.5 average, with a long punt of 60 yards, and one punt inside the 20 yard line. Stephen Jones led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling two yards and intercepted a pass. Michael Winn added two solo and six assisted tackles with one of his assisted tackles resulting in a four yard loss. Jaysean Layne recorded four solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss. I. Simmons and Mason Jackson each recovered a fumble.

Walden Cole led henry Clay’s ground game with 89 yards on 10 carries. Henry Mackey carried the ball 13 times for 43 yards. Liam Marrs completed five of nine passes for 58 yards with one interception. Scyler Hersey caught three passes for 73 yards. Walden Cole returned one kickoff for 13 yards. Scyler Hersey returned two kickoffs for 18 yards with a long return of 12 yards. Walden Cole led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss. Luke Bailey added four solo tackles. Henry Mackey and Scyler Hersey each recorded three solo and two assisted tackles with Scyler Hersey also intercepting a pass. Nick Jones recovered a fumble he returned 16 yards. Zac Hoellein also recovered a fumble.

The Cardinals were penalized twice for 10 yards.

Dakari Talbert led Frederick Douglass; ground game with 47 yards on three carries. Kenoxie Allen carried the ball four times for 41 yards and two touchdowns. Jaxon Strautman carried the ball twice for 22 yards. Jaxon Strautman completed nine of 12 passes for 114 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. Noe Kayembe led Paul Laurence Dunbar’s ground game with 107 yards and a touchdown on 29 carries. Kyan Hall carried the ball twice for 11 yards and a touchdown. Ethan Teall completed 18 of 28 passes for 228 yards with one interception. Harrison Simpson caught five passes for 52 yards. Trae Berry added four receptions for 48 yards. Connor Norsworthy recorded four catches for 46 yards. Mason VanDyke and Kotaro Nagano each recorded two receptions for 39 yards each. Harrison Simpson and Connor Norsworthy each returned a kickoff for 20 and 17 yards respectively. Bryan Station rebounded from a loss to Frederick Douglass last week with a running clock 49-3 victory over Madison Central. Bryan Station recorded 15 first downs and 459 yards of total offense. The Defenders were penalized six times for 35 yards and lost a fumble. Madison Central recorded eight first downs and 163 yards of total offense. The Indians were penalized four times for 25 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Kalen Washington led Bryan Station’s ground game with 205 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries. Bayubahe Benit carried the ball five times for 54 yards and a touchdown. Taeandre Clark scored on a three yard run. Trenton Cutwright completed five of nine passes for 152 yard sna two touchdowns. Jaxson Branham completed his only pass for 34 yards. JT Haskins Jr, caught three passes for 61 yards and a touchdown. Kamani Barbour caught one pass for a 75 yard scoring reception. Jirdan Haskins and Dahvon Frazier each caught one pass for 34 and 16 yards respectively. Kamani Barbour returned one punt for eight yards and Demond Green returned one kickopff for 15 yards. Jason Hocker led the defense with four solo and four assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards. Jaylen Berry added three solo and three assisted tackles. Dahvon Frazier recorded one solo and five assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Isaiah Watts chipped in with two solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss. JT Haskins Jr. recorded two solo and three assisted tackles and intercepted a pass. Taeandre Clark intercepted a pass he returned 19 yards.

Jonah Haskins led Madison Central’s ground game with 122 yards on 26 carries. Bryant Mathis carried the ball nine times for 22 yards. KJ Wells completed one of eight passes for 17 yards with two interceptions. Nathan Ogle caught one pass for 17 yards. Cody Morrison recorded two kickoffs for 31 yards with a long return of 17 yards. The “Brady Hensley Express” continues to roll as the senior running back ran for 255 yards including TD runs of 28, 28, 3, 58, and 55 yards in a 55-12 victory over Washington County on the road. Lexington Christian Academy recorded 20 first downs and 520 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized nine times for 91 yards. Washington County recorded nine first downs and 171 yards of total offense. They were penalized twice for 20 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Brady Hensley led the LCA ground game with 255 yards and five touchdowns on 14 carries. Leland Edwards carried the ball five times for 74 yards and a touchdown. Bennett Gudalis recorded 41 yards on three carries. BJ Evans chipped in with 21 yards on two carries. Cutter Boley completed 12 of 21 passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns. Parker Chaney caught five passes for 51 yards and two touchdowns. Saxton Howard caught four passes for 45 yards. Saxton Howard returned two kickoffs for 73 yards with a long return of 64 yards.
