Owensboro Catholic raced out to a 43-0 first quarter lead on their way to a 50-18 victory over Green County. Owensboro Catholic recorded 275 yards of total offense while Green County recorded 403 yards. Owensboro Catholic substituted liberally in the second half to give the starters some well deserved rest.

Brady Atwell led Owensboro Catholic’s ground game with 96 yards and a touchdown on four carries. Brady Atwell completed nine of 14 passes for 151 yards and four touchdowns. William “Tutt” Carrico caught four passes for 65 yards and three touchdowns. Waryn Ebelhar added three receptions for 58 yards and a touchdown. Noah Rhinerson recorded two receptions for 28 yards. Vince Carrico led the defense with six solo and 10 assisted tackles. Elijah Blair added three solo and seven assisted tackles. Miles Edge recorded one solo and eight assisted tackles. Tutt Carrico recorded two solo and six assisted tackles, recovered a fumble, and intercepted a pass he returned 20 yards for a touchdown. Vince Carrico scored on a 15 yard punt return.

Kelson McKinney led Green County’s ground game with 125 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries. Julian Seymour added 112 yards and one touchdown on 17 carries. Houston Hodges completed 15 of 26 passes for 165 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Jake Bishop caught two passes for 73 yards and a touchdown. Eli Bishop added five receptions for 43 yards. Kelson McKinney recorded four catches for 16 yards.

Covington Catholic only led 8-0 at halftime but came alive after the intermission to defeat Johnson Central by the score of 31-0. Covington Catholic recorded 17 first downs and 320 yards of total offense. The Colonels were penalized three times for 25 yards. Johnson Central recorded 12 first times and 156 yards of total offense. The Golden Eagles were penalized four times for 31 yards and lost a fumble.

Owen Leen led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 61 yards on 16 carries. Braylon Miller added 37 yards and a touchdown on two carries. Will Michels recorded 16 yards on two carries. Evan Pitzer chipped in with 13 yards on seven carries. Evan Pitzer completed 14 of 21 passes for 187 yards and three touchdowns. Braylon Miller caught seven passes for 106 yards and two touchdowns. Willie Rodriguez added three receptions for 36 yards and a touchdown. Oliver Link recorded two receptions for 26 yards. Braylon Miller returned one kickoff for 13 yards. Tate Kruer led the defense with nine solo and one assisted tackles. Josh Flood added eight solo and one assisted tackles. JP Sullivan recorded seven solo tackles. Ben Reeves chipped in with four solo and two assisted tackles.

Logan Music led Johnson Central’s ground game with 77 yards on 13 carries. Christian Barnes added 57 yards on 14 carries. Carter Conley recorded 32 yards on eight carries. Jacob Grimm was zero of five in the passing department. Seth Davis returned one kickoff for 50 yards. Peyton Daniel returned one kickoff for 10 yards. Caleb Barnes led the defense with nine solo tackles. Ryan Rice added five solo tackles. Dylan Lemaster recorded four solo and one assisted tackles. Conner Music chipped in with four solo tackles.

Mayfield outscored Lexington Christian Academy 28-7 in the final quarter to defeat the Eagles 58-36. LCA committed five turnovers including giving up two pick sixes and Mayfield had scoring plays of 79, 64, 60, 56, and 78 yards. Mayfield’s speed was evident all night on both sides of the ball tonight. Mayfield recorded 17 first downs and 455 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized five times for 47 yards and lost a fumble. LCA recorded 28 first downs and 504 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized six times for 48 yards, lost two fumbles, and had three passes intercepted.

JuJu Starks led Mayfield’s ground game with 171 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries. Zane Cartwright completed 20 of 28 passes for 276 yards and three touchdowns. Malik Kirby caught six passes for 101 yards and a touchdown. Xavier Biggers added five receptions for 92 yards. Braden Morris recorded four receptions for 41 yards and a touchdown. Mak Hoover chipped in with three receptions for six yards and a touchdown. Will Morris added two catches for 36 yards. Braden Morris returned two punts for 20 yards with a long return of 20 yards. Mak Hoover returned one punt for 42 yards. Josiah England, Xavier Biggers, Braden Morris, and Mak Hoover each returned one kickoff for 33, 15, 11, and 11 yards respectively. Ian Williams led the defense with seven solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss. Malik Kirby abd Braden Morris each recorded five solo tackles, Mak Hoover added four solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards. Xavier Biggers recorded one solo and three assisted tackles and scored on a 78 yard interception return. Diego Torres intercepted two passes for a total of 106 return yardage including a touchdown return of 79 yards.

Brady Hensley continues his stellar senior campaign and led LCA”s ground attack with 270 yards and two touchdowns on 32 carries. BJ Evans carried the ball three times for 35 yards and two touchdowns. Cutter Boley completed 23 of 31 passes for 212 yards and one touchdown with three interceptions. Parker Chaney caught nine passes for 98 yards and a touchdown. Saxton Howard added six receptions for 46 yards. Nate Barnhardt recorded three receptions for 31 yards. Saxton Howard returned four kickoffs for 54 yards with a long return of 22 yards. Brady Hensley returned one kickoff for 10 yards. Jackson Dillow led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles. Kenyatta Hardge recorded four solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards. Braylon Moss recorded four solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss. Mac Darland also recorded four solo tackles.

Frederick Douglass held on to defeat Male by the score of 21-20. Male scored on a 36 yard pass from Kolter Smith to Max Gainey to pull Male within one point; 21-20 with 4:17 left in the game and Male decided to go for a two point conversion. However, Shammai Gates was stopped short and Frederick Douglass held on for a big road victory. Frederick Douglass recorded 14 first downs and 258 yards of total offense. The Broncos were penalized 10 times for 248 yards and had one pass intercepted. Male recorded 17 first downs and 264 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs were penalized five times for 25 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Kenoxie “Tay Tay” Allen led Frederick Douglass’ ground game with 57 yards on 10 carries. Dakari Talbert carried the ball 12 times for 55 yards. Pharo Watts recorded 51 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries. Derion Talbert chipped in with 24 yards on two carries. Jaxon Strautman ran for another touchdown. Jaxon Strautman completed nine of 19 passes for 83 yards and a touchdown with one interception. Derion Talbert caught four passes for 44 yards and a touchdown. Graham Dunn added three receptions for 13 yards. Cooper Ranvier recorded one reception for 14 yards. Aveion Chenault chipped in with one catch for 12 yards. Derion Talber returned one kickoff for 24 yards. Cooper Ranvier punted three times for a 45.3 average with a long punt of 49 yards, kicked off four times for a 59.8 average with three touchbacks, and was three of three on conversion kicks. Darion Neal led the defense with three solo and three assisted tackles. Jeremiah Lowe added four solo tackles. Jaquan Rufus recorded three solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a nine yard loss. Logan Busson chipped in with two solo and two assisted tackles.

Shammai Gates led Male’s ground game with 110 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries. Kolter Smith carried the ball three times for 17 yards. Kolter Smith completed 10 of 26 passes for 123 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Max Gainey caught six passes for 79 yards and a touchdown. DJ Grinter added two receptions for 18 yards. Antonio Harris returned one kickoff for 11 yards. Steron Davidson led the defense with seven solo and two assisted tackles. Solomom Conley added five solo and three assisted tackles. JaVeon Dorsey recorded five solo and two assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards. Kevin Wilson chipped in with three solo and five assisted tackles.

Bryan Station utilized their ground game (245 yards and four touchdowns) and a ball hawking defense (four interceptions and two pick sixes) to defeat Ryle by the score of 49-12 to advance to the 6A Semifinal match-up against Ballard. Bryan Station recorded 14 first downs and 298 yards of total offense. The defenders were penalized four times for 71 yards and had one pass intercepted. Ryle recorded 20 first downs and 285 yards of total offense. The Raiders were penalized five times for 35 yards, lost a fumble, and had four passes intercepted.

Kalen Washington led Bryan Station’s ground game with 167 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries. Trenton Cutwright carried the ball nine times for 38 yards and a touchdown. Bayubahe Benit recorded 25 yards and a touchdown on two carries. Trenton Cutwright completed three of six passes for 53 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Demond Green caught two passes for 27 yards and a touchdown. JT Haskins Jr. added one reception for 26 yards. Kamani Barbour returned one kickoff for 18 yards. Demond Green returned one kickoff for nine yards. Jaylen Berry led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 40 yards for a touchdown. Jordan Haskins added five solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass. Keelan Adams also recorded five solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 56 yards for a touchdown. Jason Hocker also recorded five solo and one assisted tackles. Gary McCauley chipped in with two solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a seven yard loss. Jahvon Frazier recovered a fumble and JT Haskins Jr. intercepted a pass.

Logan Verax led Ryle’s ground game with 74 yards on 19 carries. Logan Verax completed 20 of 35 passes for 232 yards and two touchdowns with four interceptions. Landon Lorms caught eight passes for 96 yards and a touchdown. Gavin Lyons added five receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown. Dylan Lee recorded three receptions for 31 yards and Grady Reynolds chipped in with two catches for 24 yards. Gavin Lyons returned three kickoffs for 51 yards with a long return of 22 yards. Jacob Savage led the defense with nine solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a seven yard loss. Grady Reynolds added four solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 13 yard loss. LJ Warner recorded two solo and five assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a nine yard loss. Owensboro defeated SouthWarren tonight by the score of 53-22. Owensboro got big plays on offense, defense, and special teams tonight. They had five touchdowns on the ground, one through the air, one on a blocked punt recovered in the end zone and another 98 yard return by JaShawn Carr who picked a pitch out out of the air and returned it for a touchdown. Owensboro recorded 444 yards of total offense while South Warren recorded 382 yards.

Evan Hampton led Owensboro’s ground game with 203 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries. Trevor Delacey carried the ball 10 times for 67 yards and a touchdown. Deion Winstead recorded 30 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Trevor Delacey completed eight of 12 passes for 139 yards and a touchdown. Dereon Crowe caught four passes for 82 yards and a touchdown. Evan Hampton added two receptions for 43 yards. Bradin Fountain led the defense with eight solo and two assisted tackles. Javion Robinson added six solo and four assisted tackles. JaShawn Carr recorded six solo and two assisted tackles and scored on a 98 yard return of a pitchout he caught in the air and raced to the end zone. Elijah Hampton chipped in with five solo and two assisted tackles. Courtland Howard added five solo and one assisted tackles and recovered a fumble. Blake Kimbrell also scored on a recovery of a blocked punt in the end zone.

Jimmy Sales led South Warren’s ground game with 73 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries. Bryce Button completed 21 of 30 passes for 274 yards and two touchdowns. Isaiah Rigsby completed his only pass for 19 yards. Bailey Shoemaker caught six passes for 81 yards. DeShawn Bridges added four receptions for 50 yards. Colton Veltkamp recorded four receptions for 42 yards and two touchdowns. Jimmy Sales chipped in with two receptions for 38 yards. Ethan Reynolds caught two passes for 35 yards and Isaiah Rigsby added three receptions for 28 yards. Drayson Moore led the defense with five solo and seven assisted tackles. Colton Veltkamp added two solo and eight assisted tackles. Jimmy Sales recorded three solo and two assisted tackles. DeShawn Bridges chipped in with two solo and four assisted tackles. Ethan Reynolds added one solo and five assisted tackles.

This game featured two long time state powers Bell County and Belfry coaches by two legendary leaders Dudley Hilton (Bell County) and Phillip Haywood (Belfry). The game lived up to expectations as Bell County eked out a 24-22 victory over Belfry. Bell County got their usual excellent performance by Daniel Thomas (249 yards one TD on the ground) and two passing TDs by Blake Burnett. Bell County’s O-line came to play tonight featuring 5-11 260 pound Sr. Brody Patterson, 6-4 303 pound Sr. Brayden Dunn, 6-2 290 pound Sr. Braydon Thomas, 5-10 220 Sr. Payton Williams, and 6-0 215 pound So. Jaxson Pratt. There were several key moments in the game, one being when the Bell County defense stopped Dre Young on a two point conversion attempt that would have tied the game at 24-24 midway throught the third quarter. Another came when the Bell County defense held on a fourth- and- goal from the seven yard line in the fourth quarter. That led to Bell County going on a sustained drive to run several minutes off the clock and secure the victory. Dre Young had a great performance for Belfry running for 200 yards and three touchdowns. Bell County recorded 346 yards of total offense while Belfry recorded 288 yards.

Daniel Thomas led Bell County’s ground game with 249 yards and a touchdown on 35 carries. Blake Burnett completed three of five passes for 74 yards and two touchdowns. Elijah Hampton caught one pass for 40 yards. Hayden Dameron and Blake Evans caught touchdown passes of 24 and 10 yards respectively. Blake Evans led the defense with six solo and four assisted tackles. Blake Burnett added six solo and three assisted tackles. Joshua Owens recorded seven solo tackles. Hayden Dameron and Spencer Phipps each recorded five solo and one assisted tackles.

Dre Young led Belfry’s ground game with 200 yards and three touchdowns on 31 carries. Chase Varney completed three of nine passes for 34 yards. Caden Woolum caught two passes for 24 yards. Ace Caudill added one reception for 10 yards. Dre Young led the defense with four solo and eight assisted tackles. Koy Queen added three solo and eight assisted tackles. Dante Davis chipped in with 11 assisted tackles. Caden Woolum recorded two solo and nine assisted tackles. Keaton Deskins recorded one solo and seven assisted tackles. Jeremiah Austin added eight assisted tackles. Ace Caudill recorded one solo and six assisted tackles.

Ryle defeated Bullitt East by the score of 43-20 in a running clock contest. Ryle recorded 440 yards of total offense and lost a fumble. Bullitt East recorded 225 yards of total offense and also lost a fumble.

Logan Verax led Ryle’s ground game with 97 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Jacob Savage added 21 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. Logan Verax completed 20 of 26 passes for 239 yards and three touchdowns. Landon Lorms completed his only pass for 65 yards and a touchdown. Dylan Lee caught three passes for 107 yards and a touchdown. Grady Reynolds added 90 yards on six receptions. Landon Lorms recorded five receptions for 54 yards and a touchdown. Jacob Savage caught three passes for 33 yards and a touchdown. JR Hayes added two receptions for 15 yards and a touchdown. Jacob Savage led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles. Jaden Galicia added four solo and three assisted tackles and recovered a fumble. Dillon Smith recorded four solo and two assisted tackles. Nathan Verax also recorded four solo and two assisted tackles.

Jack Zwernemann led Bullitt East’s ground game with 62 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries. Alec Britt carried the ball nine times for 57 yards. Jack Zwernemann completed nine of 20 passes for 88 yards. Trintin Baker caught three passes for 29 yards. Cayden Cowan added one reception for 26 yards. Caden Bostock recorded two receptions for 15 yards. Tyler Spalding chipped in with two receptions for 14 yards. Baron Hardestry led the defense with seven solo tackles. Ryan Rayhill and Jack Zwernemann each recorded five solo tackles. Bryce Elder chipped in with four solo and one assisted tackles. Isaiah Hare recovered a fumble.

Spencer County continues their late season resurgence with a 42-37 victory over DeSales. Spencer County recorded 440 yards of total offense and had one pass intercepted. DeSales recorded 415 yards of total offense, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Kellen Marksbury led Spencer County’s ground game with 147 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries. Kennan Carnes carried the ball 11 times for 48 yards. Brady Smith recorded 45 yards and a touchdown on two carries. Danny Armstrong chipped in with 38 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Brody Phelps carried the ball 12 times for 37 yards. Jarett Stewart completed four of 10 passes for 116 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. Kellen Marksbury caught two passes for 66 yards and a touchdown. Andrew Barron added two receptions for 50 yards and two touchdowns. Nick Stowe led the defense with two solo and six assisted tackles. Tanner Shuler added three solo and three assisted tackles. Highlands powerful ground attack dominated tonight in a 40-7 victory over Dixie Heights. The Bluebirds raced out to a 40-0 halftime lead and cruised to the victory. Highland recorded 464 yards of total offense, 423 of these yards coming on the ground game. Dixie Heights was held to a total of 125 yards.

Cameron Giesler led Highlands’ ground game with 209 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries. Brody Benke carried the ball 12 times for 194 yards and three touchdowns. Brody Benke completed one of two passes for 41 yards and a touchdown. Carson Class caught one pass fro 41 yards and a touchdown. Nate Welch and Carson Class each intercepted a pass.

Armani Gregg led Dixie Heights’ ground attack with 62 yards on 14 carries. Armani Gregg completed 10 of 19 passes for 72 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions. Tyson Beach caught three passes for 36 yards. Brach Rice added two receptions for 26 yards and a touchdown. Kabanza Mwamba intercepted a pass.
