Great Crossing coach Steve Page countered with 6-7 Sr. Jeremiah Godfrey, 6-5 Jr. Vince Dawson III, 7-1 Jr. Malachi Moreno, 5-9 Jr. Junius Burrell, and 6-4 Jr. Gage Richardson.

Great Crossing dominated today in an 88-60 victory over Ballard. Great Crossing shot 61.3% from the field including four of 11 frfom the three point line. The Warhawks connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 49 rebounds, and scored 15 points off nine Ballard turnovers. Ballard shot 28.2% from the field including 10 of 32 from beyond the arc. The Bruins connected on 10 of 14 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 16 Great Crossing turnovers.

Vince Dawson III led Great Crossing with 31 points including two three point baskets, eight rebounds, and seven assists. Malachi Moreno added 16 points. 15 rebounds, three assists, and nine blocked shots. Gage Richardson recorded 16 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and three assists. Junius Burrell chipped in with seven points, five rebounds, and four assists. Jeremiah Godfrey recorded six points, six rebounds, and three assists.

Cash Whitehead led Ballard with 12 points including two three point baskets, and six rebounds. Javeon Fairman added 12 points including three three point baskets, and seven rebounds. 6-3 Jr. Nick Hayden recorded 12 points. Cayon Gaines chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and two steals. Sam Frazier added eight points, two rebounds, and two assists.

Lexington Christian Academy coach Tim Bradshaw countered with 5-6 So. Jenny Bertram, 5-6 Jr. Ella Gabbert, 5-8 8th Grade Koko Castle, 5-6 Jr. Chapel Brown, and 5-7 Jr. Claire Roberts.

Lexington Christian Academy defeated West Carter by the score of 63-34. Lexington Christian Academy shot 39.6% from the field including six of 19 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on 19 of 26 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 37 points off 32 West Carter turnovers. West Carter shot 48.1% from the field including one of five from beyond the arc. The Lady Comets connected on seven of eight free throws, pulled down 18 rebounds, and scored eight points off 16 LCA turnovers.

Chapel Brown led LCA with 14 points including two three point baskets, four of four free throws, four rebounds, two assists, and four steals. Claire Roberts added 13 points including six of six free throws, three rebounds, and three steals. Ella Gabbert recorded 13 points including three three point baskets, two rebounds, two assists, and three steals. 5-9 Jr. Sophia Pridemore chipped in with seven points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Koko Castle added six points, four rebounds, and two assists.

Lexington Christian Academy defeated Burgin by the score of 59-36. Lexington Christian Academy shot 35% from the field including seven of 24 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on 10 of 19 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 22 Burgin turnovers. Burgin shot 34.2% from the field including five of 21 from beyond the arc. The Lady Bulldogs connected on five of eight free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored eight points off 12 LCA turnovers.

Lexington Christian Academy’s defense recorded 28 turnovers, which they converted to 30 points in a 59-30 victory over Villa Madonna. LCA shot 38.1% from the field including seven of 23 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on four of 10 free throws and pulled down 36 rebounds. Villa Madonna shot 28.2% from the field including two of eight from beyond the arc. The Vikings connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored four points off nine LCA turnovers.

Bryan Station defeated Moore 98-93 in an entertaining high scoring affair, Bryan Station shot 62.7% from the field including six of 16 from the three point line. The Defenders connected on 18 of 26 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 18 Moore turnovers. Moore shot 59.4% from the field including six of 14 from beyond the arc. The Mustangs connected on 11 of 15 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 20 Bryan Station turnovers.

Amari Owens led Bryan Station with 30 points including 10 of 15 free throws, five rebounds, five assists, and three steals. Taeshawn Adams added 19 points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Great Crossing coach Candace Wells countered with 5-8 Sr. Olivia Tierney, 5-6 Jr. Jaelle Henderson, 5-11 Sr. Ava Schureman, 5-3 8th Grade Kendall Kearney, and 5-5 Fr. Nia Carr.

Madison Central trailed by seven in the first quarter but pulled away late for a 75-59 victory over Great Crossing. The score was tied six times and there were 14 lead changes in the game. Madison Central shot 48.9% from the field including five of 12 from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on 24 of 29 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 19 Great Crossing turnovers. Great Crossing shot 39% from the field including seven of 18 from beyond the arc. The Lady Warhawks connected on six of seven free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 15 Madison Central turnovers. (Great Crossing was without 6-1 Jr. Kennedy Harrison who is averaging a double-double but was out tonight with an illness).

Brittany Campbell led Madison Central with 26 points including seven of eight free throws, seven rebounds, seven assists, and four steals. Cameryn Ridderikhoff added 22 points including nine of nine free throws, four rebounds, and two steals. Nataya Strader recorded 12 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and two steals. 5-7 Sr. Olivia Metcalfe chipped in with seven points including two three point baskets and was instumental in keeping Madison Central in the game when Great Crossing took an early lead. Eden Carter added six points and five rebounds. Brooke Campbell recorded four rebounds, four assists, and two steals while excelling on defense.

Ava Schureman led Great Crossing with 14 points including five of six free throws and four rebounds. Nia Carr added 13 points, three rebounds, two assists, and three steals. Standout 8th Grader Kendall Kearney recorded 10 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, and four assists. Olivia Tierney recorded eight points, four rebounds, six assists, and three steals.

Woodford County trailed 30-26 at halftime but rallied in the second half to earn a 74-64 victory over Bryan Station. There were five lead changes and three ties in this game, Woodford County shot 52.9% from the field including three of 11 from the three point line. The Yellow Jackets connected on 17 of 25 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 22 Bryan Station turnovers. Bryan Station shot 44.4% from the field including three of nine from beyond the arc. The Defenders connected on 13 of 19 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 18 Woodford County turnovers.

Santonio Waide led Woodford County with 20 points including two three point baskets, eight of eight free throws, two rebounds, five assists, and six steals. Jaunte Jenkins added 16 points including six of eight free throws, two rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals. Layton Starks recorded 14 points and seven rebounds. Omari Jointer chipped in with 13 points and six rebounds. Nolan Asher recorded six points, four rebounds, and four assists.

Taeshawn Adams led Bryan Station with 18 points, eight rebounds, and three blocked shots. Amari Owens added 13 points including five of seven free throws, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals. 6-3 Sr. Matthew Golinski recorded nine points and four rebounds. Madison Southern defeated Madison Central by the score of 38-35. Madison Southern led by 16 points in the third quarter but Madison Central fought back to take a one point lead late in the game before the Lady Eagles rallied for the victory. There were three lead changes in this game. Madison Southern shot 35.1% from the field including four of 14 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on eight of 10 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored five points off 11 Madison Central turnovers. Madison Central shot 26.8% from the field including one of 19 from beyond the arc. The Lady Indians connected on four of seven free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 22 Madison Southern turnovers.

Laci Sandlin led Madison Southern with nine points including five of five free throws, 13 rebounds, and two assists. 5-8 8th Grade Briana Hensley added seven points, five rebounds, and four assists. Chapel Brown led LCA with 20 points including four three point baskets, and five rebounds. Koko Castle added 17 points including nine of 10 free throws, and 11 rebounds. Ella Gabbert recorded five points and six rebounds. Jenny Bertram chipped in with two points, 12 rebounds, and two assists.

Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Erik Daniels started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Bella Rusing, 5-7 Sr. Justice Biggerstaff, 6-0 So. Ava Rankin, 5-4 Fr. Layla Flynn, and 5-5 Fr, Eriyaune Daniels. Lexington Christian Academy coach Tim Bradshaw countered with 5-6 Jr. Ella Gabbert, 5-6 So. Jenny Bertram, 5-9 8th Grade Koko Castle, 5-7 Jr, Chapel Brown, and 5-7 Jr. Claire Roberts.

LCA led 23-16 at halftime but Dunbar rallied in the second half to earn a 50-44 victory. The score was tied three times and there were seven lead changes in the game. Dunbar shot 28.3% from the field including two of 16 from the three point line. The Lady Bulldogs connected on 14 of 23 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 33 LCA turnovers. LCA shot 37.5% from the field including five of 16 from beyond the arc. The Lady Eagles connected on nine of 14 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored deven points off 11 Dunbar turnovers.
