Henry Clay coach Ashley Garrard countered with 5-9 Sr. Allison Stone, 5-8 Sr. Emily Johnson, 5-10 Sr. Elizabeth Nelson, 5-2 Jr. Ariyanna Sutton, and 5-6 Sr. Timarri Miller.

Frederick Douglass avenged an early season loss with a convincing 69-40 victory over Henry Clay tonight. Frederick Douglass shot 40.7% from the field including six of 15 from the three point line. The Lady Broncos connected on 19 of 29 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 22 Henry Clay turnovers. Henry Clay shot 25.9% from the field including four of 26 from beyond the arc. The Lady Blue Devils connected on six of 10 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored five points off 19 Frederick Douglass turnovers.

Ayanna-Sarai Darrington led Frederick Douglass with 20 points including eight of 13 free throws, 17 rebounds, three blocked shots, and four steals. Niah Rhodes added 16 points including two three point baskets, and four rebounds. Kate Baker recorded eight points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, and four assists. Jaylee Knowles chipped in with seven points, seven rebounds, and two blocked shots. 5-5 So. Reagan Gregonis added five points including three of four free throws and two rebounds.

5-8 Sr. Lydia Van Metre led henry Clay with 12 points including two three point baskets and six rebounds. Timarri Miller added nine points and two rebounds. 5-9 Jr. Amari Sims recorded six points and two rebounds. 5-5 7^th Grade Tamia Waide chipped in with three points, six rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots. Ariyanna Sutton added three points, five rebounds, two assists, and three steals. Emily Johnson recorded three points, three rebounds, and two blocked shots.

Bryan Station coach Serena Sandusky started the following lineup: 5-11 Sr. Kailyn Gentry, 5-7 So. Akiyah Wade, 6-3 Jr. Albertine Cyuzuzo, 5-4 Sr. Chloe Do, and 5-6 So. Elayna Ward. Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 5-8 Jr. Belle Combs, 5-8 Fr. Addison Combs, 5-10 Jr. Tess Nelson, 5-5 So. Anna Clay Denton, and 5-5 Jr. Abbey Popham.

Belle Combs scored a layup off an assist by Abbey Popham with 25 seconds to give Lafayette a 57-56 victory over Bryan Station. Bryan Station had an opportunity in the final second but the shots failed to connect. There were 12 lead changes and seven ties in this game. Lafayette shot 41.8% from the field including nine of 20 from the three point line. The Lady Generals connected on two of three free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 17 Bryan Station turnovers. Bryan Station shot 45.8% from the field including five of 10 from beyond the arc. The Lady Defenders connected on seven of 15 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 17 Lafayette turnovers.

Tess Nelson led Lafayette with 15 points including three three point baskets, eight rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Anna Clay Denton added 11 points, including two three point baskets, four rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Abbey Popham recorded nine points, three rebounds, five assists, and two steals. 5-3 Jr. Kierstyn Kelly added nine points on three three point baskets and three assists. Belle Combs chipped in with six points, four rebounds, and two steals. 5-10 Sr. Narrah Wilson recorded five points and five rebounds.

Albertine Cyuzuzo led Bryan Station with 17 points, nine rebounds, and three steals. Elayna Ward added 14 points including four three point baskets, four rebounds, and four assists. Akiyah Wade recorded 11 points and three rebounds. 5-8 Jr. Alondra Gonzalez Perez chipped in with seven points. Kailyn Gentry recorded six points, six rebounds, and two steals.

Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. countered with 6-2 Jr. Cody Morrison, 6-2 Sr. Eli Steele, 6-6 Sr. Tye Thomas, 6-0 So. Will Richardson, and 6-0 Jr. Landon Ray.

Henry Clay trailed 21-14 at halftime but outscored Madison Central 24-9 in the third quarter on their way to a 55-49 victory. Henry Clay shot 43.9% from the field including seven of 18 from the three point line. The Blue Devils connected on 12 of 16 free throws, pulled down 18 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 16 Madison Central turnovers. Madison Central shot 34.1% from the field including six of 26 from beyond the arc. The Indians connected on 13 of 23 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 10 Henry Clay turnovers.

Isaiah Stephan led Henry Clay with 19 points including four three point baskets. AJ Dixon added 11 points, three rebounds, and five steals. Jackson Stephan recorded 10 points including six of eight free throws, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Hassan Bush chipped in with nine points and two rebounds. Owen County coach Devin Duvall countered with 6-3 Sr. Ethan Young, 6-2 Jr. Malachi Mefford, 6-9 Sr. Brax Ward, 5-10 Sr. Ashton Moore, and 6-1 Sr. Micah Shelton.

Lexington Catholic defeated Owen County by the score of 78-48. Lexington Catholic shot 52.8% from the field including eight of 20 from the three point line. The Knights connected on 14 of 21 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 16 Owen County turnovers. Owen County shot 32.6% from the field including four of 12 from beyond the arc. The Rebels connected on 16 of 20 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored seven points off nine Lexington Catholic turnovers.

6-4 Sr. Owen Kennedy led Lexington Catholic with 21 points including three three point baskets, and two blocked shots. Tyler Doyle added 13 points including five of six free throws, eight rebounds, six assists, and two blocked shots. John Reinhart recorded 10 points, three rebounds, three assists, and four steals. Rowan Williams chipped in with eight points, four rebounds, and two steals. 6-3 Jr. Ryan Harward added seven points, three rebounds, and two steals. Tyler Doyle, John Reinhart, and Owen Kennedy were named to the All-Tournament Team.

Micah Shelton led Owen County with 22 points including two three point baskets, 10 of 12 free throws, four rebounds, and three assists. Brax Ward added 10 points, 11 rebounds, and two assists. (5-7 Jr. Savannah Triplett suffered a season ending ACL injury). Sacred Heart Academy countered with 6-0 Jr. ZaKiyah Johnson, 5-8 Sr. Claire Russell, 6-3 Sr. Angelina Pelayo, 5-3 Fr. Amirah Jordan, and 5-10 sr. Reagan Bender.

Sacred Heart Academy returning home after four consecutive losses in Arizona to some of the elite teams in the nation “bounced back” with an 81-52 victory over a very good Meade County team. Sacred Heart shot 44.6% from the field including seven of 17 from the three point line. The Valkyries connected on 16 of 20 free throws, pulled down 52 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 14 Meade County turnovers. Meade County shot 33.3% from the field including five of 17 from beyond the arc. The Lady Waves connected on 11 of 16 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored five points off 12 Sacred Heart turnovers.

ZaKiyah Johnson led Sacred Heart with 28 points including two three point baskets, six of six free throws, 12 rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Reagan Bender added 18 points including two three point baskets, four of four free throws, three rebounds, and three assists. Angelina Pelayo recorded eight points, and four rebounds. 5-9 Sr. Emi-Lee Howe chipped in with eight points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Claire Russell added three points, nine rebounds, and two assists.

Peyton Bradley led Meade County with 32 points including five three point baskets, five of five free throws and two rebounds. Paige Medley added eight points including six of seven free throws, three rebounds, five asists, and four steals. Anna Belle Babb recorded six points and five rebounds.

Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Erik Daniels countered with 5-9 Sr. Bella Rusing, 5-7 Sr. Justice Biggerstaff, 5-10 Fr. Ellie Lavey, 5-4 Fr. Layla Flynn, and 5-5 Sr. Eriyaune Daniels.

Lexington Christian Academy defeated Paul Laurence Dunbar by the score of 43-35. The score was tied twice and there were five lead changes in the game. LCA shot 27% from the field including five of 17 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on 18 of 25 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 13 Dunbar turnovers. Dunbar shot 27.1% from the field including four of 15 from beyond the arc. The Lady Bulldogs connected on five of eight free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 21 LCA turnovers.

Claire Roberts led LCA with 16 points including two three point baskets, eight of 11 free throws, seven rebounds, and three steals. Chapel Brown added 10 points including three of four free throws, four rebounds, two assists, and three steals. Koko Castle recorded six points on six of eight free throws and eight rebounds. Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-5 Sr. Tyler Doyle, 6-4 Sr. Rowan Williams, 6-7 Sr. Miller Williams, 6-0 Sr. Sam Smith, and 6-0 Sr. John Reinhart.

Lexington Catholic raced out to a 30-7 first quarter lead and was never threatened in a 96-37 victory over Boyle County. Lexington Catholic shot 58.7% from the field including 13 of 23 from the three point line and dished out 28 assists. The Knights connected on nine of 13 free throws, pulled down 46 rebounds, and scored 15 points off nine Boyle County turnovers. Boyle County shot 27.6% from the field including two of 15 from beyond the arc. The Rebels connected on three of six free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored four points off five Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Rowan Williams led Lexington Catholic with 17 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, and three steals. Tyler Doyle added 14 points, five rebounds, and eight assists. John Reinhart recorded 11 points including three three point baskets and three rebounds. Sam Smith chipped in with nine points on three three point baskets, three rebounds, and three assists. 6-0 Sr. Gist Heinrich also scored nine points including two three point baskets. Miller Williams added eight points, four rebounds, three assists, and three steals. 6-6 Max Meagher chipped in with eight points and three rebounds. 6-4 Sr. Owen Kennedy added six points, four rebounds, and two assists.

Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-5 Sr. Tyler Doyle, 6-4 Sr. Rowan Williams, 6-7 Sr. Miller Williams, 6-0 Sr. Sam Smith, and 6-0 Sr. John Reinhart.

The latest installation of the often called “Holy War” did not dissapoint as Lexington Catholic eked out a 56-53 victory over the visiting Lexington Christian Academy team. Lexington Catholic led 33-22 early in the third quarter but LCA rallied to make it close at the end. There were eight lead changes and four ties in this game. Lexington Catholic shot 38.6% from the field including six of 20 from the three point line. The Knights connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 13 LCA turnovers. LCA shot 44.7% from the field including nine of 18 from beyond the arc. The Eagles connected on 10 of 14 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 14 points off nine Lexington Catholic turnovers.

John Reinhart led a balanced Lexington Catholic scoring attack with 12 points including three three point baskets. Tyler Doyle added 11 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Miller Williams recorded 10 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots. Sam Smith chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Rowan Williams added nine points, nine rebounds, and three steals.

Saxton Howard led lexington Christian Academy with 15 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and two assists. Hagan Preston added 14 points including five of six free throws, four assists, and three blocked shots. Andersen Green recorded six points on two three point baskets, three rebounds, and four assists. Sam Spillman chipped in with six points on two three point baskets. Simon King pulled down six rebounds.

Henry Clay improved their record to 14-0 with a 64-60 victory over Sayre but the victory did not come easy. Sayre led 44-41 after three quarters and there were eight lead changes and 10 ties in this very competitive battle. Henry Clay shot 48.9% from the field including 10 of 23 from the three point line. The Blue Devils connected on 10 of 16 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 11 Sayre turnovers. Sayre shot 36.8% from the field including six of 20 from beyond the arc. The Spartans connected on 12 of 15 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 14 Henry Clay turnovers.

Jackson Stephan led a balanced Henry Clay scoring attack with 16 points including two three point baskets, nine rebounds, and two assists. Isaiah Stephan added 13 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, and two steals. Kayson Brown recorded 13 points including two three point baskets, five of six free throws, three rebounds, and five assists. AJ Dixon chipped in with 12 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots, and three steals. Hassan Bush added eight points.

Woodford County coach Jaron Brown countered with 6-2 Jr. Jaunte Jenkins, 5-11 Jr. Nolan Asher, 6-4 Sr. Layton Starks, 5-9 Fr. Omari Jointer, and 5-11 Jr. Santonio Waide.

Woodford County defeated a short-handed Frederick Douglass squad by the score of 71-61. Woodford County shot 45.1% from the field including four of 14 from the three point line. The Yellow Jackets connected on 21 of 30 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 17 Frederick Douglass turnovers. Frederick Douglass shot 43.8% from the field including eight of 18 from beyond the arc. The Broncos connected on 11 of 16 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 11 Woodford County turnovers.

Layton Starks led a balanced Woodford County scoring attack with 17 points and eight rebounds. Omari Jointer added 15 points including seven of nine free throws, and three rebounds. Santonio Waide recorded 15 points including six of seven free throws, and two steals. Jaunte Jenkins chipped in with 13 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and two assists.

Terry Cayson led Frederick Douglass with 18 points including seven of eight free throws, and four rebounds. 6-3 Jr. James Clare added 14 points including two three point baskets, and five rebounds. Dakari Talbert recorded 11 points, three rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Christopher Wright chipped in with eight points.
