Lexington Christian Academy coach Ted Hall started the following lineup: 6-5 Jr. Colt Cummins, 6-2 Jr. Hagan Preston, 6-5 So. Simon King, 6-0 Jr. Saxton Howard, and 6-2 Jr. Andersen Green. Sayre coach Robert Goodman countered with 6-4 Jr. Chase Parker, 6-1 Jr. Brock Coffman, 6-6 Sr. Ian Reesor, 5-8 Sr. Noah Gallagher, and 5-11 Jr. Luke Pennington.
Sayre defeated Lexington Christian Academy by the score of 60-55. There were four lead changes and two ties. Lexington Christian Academy led 34-22 early in the third quarter but Sayre rallied outscoring LCA 38-21 to finish the game. Sayre shot 32.1% from the field including seven of 21 from the three point line. The Spartans connected on 17 of 23 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 13 LCA turnovers. LCA shot 50% from the field including seven of 17 from beyond the arc. The Eagles connected on eight of 10 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 12 Sayre turnovers.
Brock Coffman led Sayre with 17 points including two three point baskets, seven of eight free throws, 15 rebounds, and two steals. Ian Reesor added 13 points and five rebounds. Chase Parker recorded 12 points including six of nine free throws, four rebounds, three assists, and twom steals. Noah Gallagher chipped in with 12 points on four three point baskets and four rebounds.
Saxton Howard led Lexington Christian Academy with 23 points including two three point baskets, five of six free throws, and two assists. Hagan Preston added 16 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and two steals. Simon King recorded six points, nine rebounds, and three blocked shots.
