Montverde Academy defeated Paul VI by the score of 79-63. Montverde Academy shot 60% from the field including nine of 20 from the three point line. The Eagles connected on 16 of 22 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 14 Paul VI turnovers. Paul VI shot 46.2% from the field including nine of 24 from beyond the arc. The Panthers connected on six of nine free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored nine points off 15 Montverde Academy turnovers.
6-3 Sr. Curtis Givens led Montverde Academy with 24 points including six three point baskets, four of four free throws, three rebounds, and three assists. Derik Queen added 19 points including seven of nine free throws, six rebounds, and four assists. Cooper Flagg recorded 16 points including two three point baskets, two of two free throws, eight rebounds, two assists, six blocked shots, and one steal. Robert Wright chipped in with nine points, three rebounds, and two assists.
Darren Harris led Paul VI with 16 points including three three point baskets, three of three free throws, three rebounds, and three assists. Isaiah Abraham added 12 points including two three point baskets, and four rebounds. 6-11 Sr. Patrick Ngongba recorded 11 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Benjamin Hammond chipped in with seven points, three rebounds, six assists, and two steals. Garrett Sundra added six points on two three point baskets, and three rebounds.
