Simon Kenton rolled to a 50-35 road victory over Dixie Heights to open their season. Simon Kenton recorded 532 yards of total offense, was penalized twice for 20 yards, and did not suffer any turnovers. Dixie Heights recorded 382 yards of total offense, was penalized seven times for 64 yards and had one pass intercepted. Dixie Heights graduated several key players from their defensive unit and had trouble slowing the Pioneers tonight.

Brady Lee led Simon Kenton’s ground game with 106 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries. Torin Turner carried the ball 17 times for 84 yards and a touchdown. Tysin Weaver added 12 yards and a touchdown on three carries. Brady Lee completed 21 of 43 passes for 304 yards and three touchdowns. Grayson Harris caught nine passes for 189 yards and two touchdowns. Tysin Weaver added six receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown. Tucker Ober led the defense with six solo and seven assisted tackles. Jackson Kellerman added three solo and seven assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned for 19 yards. Paul Snyder recorded five solo and five assisted tackles. Braydon Schoborg chipped in with two solo and seven assisted tackles.

Armani Gregg led Dixie Heights ground attack with 213 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries. David Anderson carried the ball 10 times for 55 yards and a touchdown. Mason Fields completed nine of 16 passes for 90 yards and a touchdown with one interception. JJ Kriger caught three passes for 56 yards and a touchdown. Hudson Morris added three receptions for 22 yards.

Frederick Douglass dominated late to pull away for a 35-13 victory over Bowling Green. Frederick Douglass recorded 16 first downs and 313 yards of total offense. The Broncos were penalized eight times for 75 yards. Bowling Green recorded 14 first downs and 302 yards of total offense. The Purples were penalized four times for 25 yards and lost a fumble.

Dakari Talbert led Frederick Douglass’ ground game with 157 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries. Pharo Watts added 49 yards and a touchdown on six carries. TayTay Allen recorded 42 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. Jaxon Strautman completed five of eight passes for 44 yards and two touchdowns. Aveion Chenault caught four passes for 34 yards and two touchdowns. Aveion Chenault returned two punts for 35 yards with a long return of 19 yards. Nelson Irakiza led the defense with three solo and one assisted tackles. Zion Strozler and Cionne Conn each recorded three solo tackles. Kaden Clay added one solo and three assisted tackles and recovered a fumble he returned 27 yards. Logan Busson recorded two solo tackles which resulted in losses totaling nine yards.

Deuce Bailey led Bowling Green’s ground game with 48 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Jaxen Smith added 26 yards and a touchdown on three carries. Nick Reed recorded 25 yards on seven carries. Deuce Bailey completed 15 of 30 passes for 187 yards. Trevy Barber caught six passes for 75 yards. Ethan Kirkwood added two receptions for 68 yards. Jaxen Smith recorded two receptions for 18 yards. Trevy Barber, Jaxen Smith, and Ethan Warder each returned one kickoff for 45, 16, and 15 yards respectively. Braden Widener kicked off three times with three touch backs. Montrez Trussell led the defense with six solo and six assisted tackles with 4.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 21 yards. Grayson Newman added four solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a six yard loss. Ryan Wyatt recorded four solo and three assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards. AJ Woodars chipped in with four solo and one assisted tackles.

Boyle County defeated Lexington Christian Academy by the score of 35-13. Boyle County led 14-6 early in the third quarter but scored 21 unanswered points to take control of the game. Boyle County recorded 23 first downs and 467 yards of total offense. The Rebels were penalized eight times for 88 yards. Lexington Christian Academy recorded 10 first downs and 233 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized five times for 39 yards and lost a fumble.

DeMauriah Brown led Boyle County’s ground attack with 116 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries. Montavin Quisenberry carried the ball seven times for 61 yards. Baylor Murphy recorded 26 yards on four carries. Baylor Murphy completed 19 of 21 passes for 251 yards and three touchdowns. Montavin Quisenberry caught five passes for 29 yards. Geordon Brown added four receptions for 113 yards and a touchdown. Seneca Driver recorded three receptions for 43 yards and a touchdown. Lyndon Smith chipped in with three catches for 26 yards. DeMauriah Brown caught two passes for 11 yards and a touchdown. Montavin Quisenberry and DeMauriah Brown each returned a kickoff for 27 and 15 yards respectively. Jaysia Richards led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Brock Driver added one solo and eight assisted tackles. Montavin Quisenberry recorded four solo tackles. Austin Bodner recovered a fumble.

Saxton Howard led Lexington Christian Academy’s ground game with 146 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries. Leland Edwards carried the ball seven times for 18 yards. Carter Penix completed two of seven passes for 32 yards. Saxton Howard completed four of seven passes for 37 yards. Jackson Dillow caught two passes for 24 yards. Sam Pearson, Hunter Adams, and Tyler King each caught one pass for 17, 15, and 13 yards respectively. Saxton Howard returned two kickoffs for 66 yards with a long return of 54 yards. Paxton Gray returned one kickoff for 37 yards. Hunter Adams led the defense with five solo and eight assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Mac Darland added three solo and eight assisted tackles. Jamey Patterson recorded three solo and six assisted tackles. Daven Hood chipped in with three solo and five assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards. Trefor Thomas added three solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 22 yards.

Franklin County defeated Scott County by the score of 26-6. Despite Scott County not being at full strength due to injuries this was a powerful statement by a very talented Franklin County squad and further marks them as a team to be reckoned with all season. Franklin County recorded 15 first downs and 284 yards of total offense. The Flyers were penalized four times for 38 yards, lost a fumbel and had one pass intercepted. Scott County recorded 15 first downs and 270 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized three times for 24 yards and lost a fumble.

Christian Moore led Franklin County’s ground attack with 137 yards on 19 carries. Jaquann Crawford added 48 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. Cameron Richardson recorded 13 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Cameron Richardson completed four of seven passes for 68 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Juice Robinson caught one pass for 30 yards and a touchdown. Christian Moore, Jacob Taylor, and Delano Collins each had one reception for 18,13, and seven yards respectively. Juice Robinson returned one punt for 57 yards and one kickoff for 16 yards. Easton Powell kicked two extra points, added field goals of 27 and 31 yards, and kicked off six times for a 59.7 average and four touch backs. Jeremy Walters led the defense with seven solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards. Landon Cottrell added five solo and five assisted tackles with 1,5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards. Delano Collins recorded three solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Shalom Moore added three solo and four assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.

Kayne Garrett led Scott County’s ground game with 117 yards on 20 carries. Timmy Emongo added 90 yards on 18 carries. Andrew Hickey completed six of 14 passes for 58 yards and one touchdown. Eli Lilly caught four passes for 53 yards. Issac York added two receptions for five yards and a touchdown. Antonio Frye returned one kickoff for 20 yards. Timmy Emongo returned one kickoff for 25 yards. Antonio Frye led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards. Red Owens added four solo and two assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 14 yards. Greg Brown and Ashley Brewer each recorded three solo and four assisted tackles with Brown also intercepting a pass.

Trinity defeated Bryan Station by the score of 28-10 to earn a big victory on the road. Trinity recorded 16 first downs and 363 yards of total offense. The Shamrocks were penalized six times for 64 yards, lost a fumble and had a pass intercepted. Bryan Station recorded 13 first downs and 236 yards of total offense. The Defenders were penalized eight times for 61 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Jamaurion Berry led Trinity’s ground attack with 135 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries. Christopher Wilson carried the ball six times for 30 yards. Jeremiah Lynn recorded 25 yards and a touchdown on three carries. Zach Floyd chipped in with 21 yards and a touchdown on four carries. Zane Johnson completed nine of 19 passes for 142 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Jeremiah Lynn caught three passes for 44 yards. Joseph Ford added two receptions for 51 yards and a touchdown. John Wilson caught two passes for 35 yards. Jeremiah Lynn and Zach Floyd each returned a kickoff for 19 and 14 yards respectively. Zane Johnson was four of four on conversion kicks, punted once for 47 yards, and recorded five touch backs on five kick offs. Bailey Vance led the defense with six solo and four assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards. AJ Hughes added four solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards. Sonny Bratcher-Gray intercepted a pass.

Conner defeated Paul Laurence Dunbar by the score of 42-15. Conner recorded 17 first downs and 376 yards of total offense. They were penalized three times for 27 yards. Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded six first downs and 225 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs were penalized eight times for 68 yards.

Cordion Abernathy led Conner’s ground game with 89 yards on 13 carries. Wyatt Hatfield added 85 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries. Shepherd Dozier recorded 46 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. Grayson Montgomery completed 10 of 16 passes for 175 yards and two touchdowns. Chase Bailey caught three passes for 87 yards. Chase Caplinger added three receptions for 77 yards and two touchdowns. Wyatt Hatfield returned one kickoff for 48 yards. Chase Caplinger returned two punts for 21 yards with a long return of 11 yards. Andrew Herron converted on four of four extra oints, added field goals of 32 and 24 yards, kicked off eight times with eight touch backs. Chase Caplinger led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles. Cordion Abernathy also recorded four solo and one assisted tackles. Boden Roberts recorded two solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards.

Tates Creek utilized a balanced offense to roll over Eastern by the score of 48-6 in the season opener. Tates Creek recorded 19 first downs and 411 yards of total offense. The Commodores were penalized six times for 64 yards. Eastern recorded 11 first downs and 190 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized five times for 27 yards, lost a fumble and had two passes intercepted.

BJ Evans led Tates Creek’s ground game with 179 yards and four touchdowns on 15 carries. Darnell Burnside carried the ball four times for 36 yards. Darnell Burnside completed nine of 14 passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns. Ace Davis completed one of two passes for 19 yards and a touchdown. Luke Cooper caught three passes for 33 yards. JT Cooper added two receptions for 48 yards and a touchdown. Kane Bell-Pointer recorded two receptions for 23 yards and a touchdown. Marquis Hale added a 43 yard touchdown reception. Lazarey Warren and Skylar Clay each returned a kickoff for 21 and 14 yards respectively. Stephen Jones led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles. Johnny Brown added four solo tackles. Johnny Campos recovered a fumble. Lazarey Warren intercepted a pass he returned 30 yards and Kaylib Murphy also intercepted a pass.

Zane Wagner led the Eastern ground attack with 40 yards on four carries. Tristen Martin carried the ball nine times for 30 yards. Zane Wagner completed 11 of 20 passes for 90 yards and one touchdown. G. Killingsworth completed two of six passes for eight yards with two interceptions. Mykel Bradshaw caught five passes for 45 yards. Grayson Napier added four receptions for 25 yards. Ayden Owens caught two passes for 17 yards and a touchdown. B. Beddingfield returned two kickoffs for 42 yards with a long return of 24 yards. Nathan Wagner returned three kickoffs for 38 yards with a long return of 18 yards. Jaquan Mock led the defense with two solo and six assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Will Bird and Ashton Thompson each recorded three solo and three assisted tackles. Grayson Napier chipped in with three solo and one assisted tackles.

Lafayette defeated Fleming County by the score of 27-14 despite running only 35 plays on offense compared to 67 for Fleming County as Fleming County held a 33:57 to 14:03 advantage in time of possession. Lafayette recorded 11 first downs and 314 yards of total offense. The Generals were penalized nine times for 89 yards and lost four fumbles. Fleming County recorded 19 first downs and 296 yards of total offense. They were penalized six times for 33 yards, lost three fumbles and had one pass intercepted.

JJ Richardson led Lafayette’s ground game with 146 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries. Triston Taylor carried the ball once for 34 yards. CJ Young added 33 yards and a touchdown on four carries. Jackson Stephens recorded 16 yards and a touchdown on three carries. Ransom Payton completed four of nine passes for 93 yards and a touchdown. Jackson Grantz caught two passes for 33 yards. Cale Locklar added a 50 yard scoring reception. Jackson Grantz was good on three of four extra point attempts, punted once for 42 yards, and kicked off five times for a 57/8 average and three touch backs. Matthew Hardin led the defense with six solo and 13 assisted tackles. Jackson Stephens added seven solo and five assisted tackles. Jackson Grantz recorded three solo and seven assisted tackles, recovered a fumble, and intercepted a pass he returned 30 yards. CJ Young chipped in with four solo and two assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.

Evan Conley led Fleming County’s ground game with 124 yards on 22 carries. Jordan Harn carried the ball 24 times for 116 yards and a touchdown. Aiden Johnson recorded 63 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries. Evan Conley completed one of four passes for five yards. Craig Lofton caught one pass for five yards. QB Derek Dees threw for three touchdowns and ran for two more touchdowns to lead Oldham County to a 44-16 victory over Henry Clay. Oldham County recorded 17 first downs and 357 yards of total offense. They were not penalized tonight, lost a fumble and had one pass intercepted. Henry Clay recorded 13 first downs and 192 yards of total offense. The Blue Devils were penalized five times for 24 yards and had three passes intercepted.

Jayden Corum led Oldham County’s ground game with 79 yards on 15 carries. Nash Meredith carried the ball five times for 30 yards. Derek Dees recorded 21 yards and two touchdowns on four carries. Derek Dees completed 15 of 18 passes for 232 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. Brooks Kightlinger caught four passes for 81 yards and two touchdowns. Miller Brown added four receptions for 59 yards. Timothy Rankin recorded four receptions for 41 yards and a touchdown. Jayden Corum returned three kickoffs for 72 yards with a long return of 37 yards. Miller Brown led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles. Vincent Busalacch. Antoine Webb caught six passes for 33 yards and a touchdown. Luke DiNardo added three receptions for 20 yards. Isaiah McQueen caught two passes for 16 yards. Keontae Edwards returned one kickoff for 92 yards and a touchdown. Isaiah McQueen and Antoine Webb each returned one kickoff for 19 and 12 yards respectively. Ethan Cooper kicked a 46 yard field goal. Zac Hoellein led the defense with five solo and three assisted tackles with 1,5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards. Grace Christian coach Chad Revelle started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Isabella Roman, 5-7 Jr. Miyah Campbell, 6-2 Sr. Sarah Strong, 5-6 Jr. Halisi Whitley, and 5-6 Sr. Serenity McNair. IMG Academy coach Frank Oliver Jr. countered with 6-2 Jr. Deniaya Prawl, 5-10 Sr. Tajianna Roberts, 6-4 Sr. Heloisa Carrera, 5-6 Sr. Leah Harmon, and 5-9 Jr. Kelis Fisher.

Grace Christian led by 13 points in the first quarter but IMG Academy outscored the Crusaders 21-13 in the third quarter on their way to a 76-68 victory. There were four ties and two lead changes in this game. IMG Academy shot 53.7% from the field including five of 18 from the three point line. The Ascenders connected on 13 of 17 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 14 Grace Christian turnovers. Grace Christian shot 38.6% from the field including 15 of 31 from beyond the arc. The Crusaders connected on nine of 11 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored nine points off seven IMG Academy turnovers.

Tajianna Roberts led IMG Academy with 24 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, three assists, and five steals. Leah Harmon added 18 points including seven of eight free throws, three rebounds, and four steals. Kelis Fisher recorded 13 points, five rebounds, and two blocked shots. 6-0 Jr. Lena Girardi chipped in with nine points, three rebounds, and three assists. Heloisa Carrera recorded six points and five rebounds.

Sarah Strong led Grace Christian with 31 points including five three point baskets, eight of nine free throws, 19 rebounds, and three assists. Halisi Whitley added 12 points on three three point baskets, two rebounds, and three assists. Miyah Campbell recorded 12 points on four three point baskets, and two rebounds. Isabella Roman chipped in with seven points and three assists. 5-7 So. Reagan Lindholm added six points on two three point baskets and two rebounds.

Montverde Academy coach Matt Shewmake countered with 6-2 Jr. Lourdes Da Silva Costa, 6-0 Sr. Eris Lester, 6-4 Sr. Vivian Iwuchukwu, 5-7 Sr. Jaloni Cambridge, and 6-0 Sr. Chloe Sotell.

Montverde Academy outscored Sidwell Friends 30-12 in the third quarter on their way to a 65-49 victory. There were two ties and seven lead changes in this game. Montverde Academy shot 49.1% from the field including seven of 18 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on four of 11 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 16 Sidwell Friends turnovers. Sidwell Friends shot 35.2% from the field including six of 18 from beyond the arc. The Quakers connected on five of 15 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 17 Montverded Academy turnovers.

Jaloni Cambridge led Montverde Academy with 19 points, 14 rebounds, 12 assists, and three steals. Vivian Iwuchukwu added 16 points, seven rebounds, three blocked shots, and two steals. 6-0 Fr. Finley Chastain recorded 12 points on four three point baskets. Lourdes Da Silva Costa chipped in with eight points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Eris Lester added seven points and two blocked shots.

Kendall Dudley led Sidwell Friends with 22 points including four three point baskets, seven rebounds, four assists, and five steals. Jayla Jackson added 11 points, four rebounds, four assists, two blocked shots, and two steals. Zania Socka recorded six points, nine rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals.
