Bell County rallied in the second half to defeat Boyd County 36-31 in a real nail biter. Blake Burnett scored on a one yard run to give Bell County a 36-31 lead with 1:30 left in the game which was the Bobcats only lead of the game. However Boyd County refused to give up without a fight and appeared to be a mere yard away from victory on a 42 yard pass play to the Bell County one yard line. However Lady Luck smiled on the Bobcats as the play was called back due to a penalty and Bell County’s defense closed out the game for the victory. Bell County recorded 25 first downs and 443 yards of total offense. The Bobcats were penalized twice for 20 yards and had a pass intercepted. Boyd County recorded 15 first downs and 346 yards of total offense. The Lions were penalized nine times for 71 yards.

Kaleb Miller led Bell County’s ground game with 191 yards and four touchdowns on 31 carries. Hunter Everage carried the ball 10 times for 58 yards. James Neal recorded 32 yards on eight carries. Bleke Burnett chipped in with 29 yards and a touchdown on seven carries. Blake Burnett completed seven of 12 passes for 127 yards with one interception. Joseph Brigmon caught two passes for 70 yards. Blake Evans added two receptions for 33 yards. Kaleb Miller caught one pass for 14 yards. Hunter Everage led the defense with eight solo and one assisted tackles. Joseph Brigmon added six solo and two assisted tackles. Logan Greene recorded five solo and one assisted tackles. Hayden Dameron recorded four solo and one assisted tackles and recorded two sacks.

Rhett Holbrook led Boyd County’s ground game with 38 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. Erik Germann added 14 yards and one touchdown on two carries. Hunter Hedrick recorded 13 yards on three carries. Brody Castle chipped in with 11 yards on two carries. Rhett Holbrook completed 18 of 31 passes for 270 yards and two touchdowns. Thomas Crawford caught three passes for 82 yards and two touchdowns. Cole Hicks added five receptions for 69 yards. Brody Castle recorded four receptions for 56 yards. Erik Germann led the defense with 11 solo and nine assisted tackles. Brody Castle added nine solo and seven assisted tackles. Nate Manning recorded one solo and seven assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in lost yardage. John Jackson chipped in with five solo and three assisted tackles. Hunter Hedrick added three solo and four assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in lost yardage. Taryn Tackett recorded four solo and two assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in lost yardage.

Highlands rebounded from a 14-0 first quarter deficit behind a punishing ground attack to defeat Covington Catholic by the score of 32-22. Highland attack was fueled by a great effort by their talented offensive line. Highlands recorded 20 first downs and 373 yards of total offense. The Blueburds were penalized once for 15 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted. Covington Catholic recorded 14 first downs and 371 yards of total offense. The Colonels were penalized once for 15 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Jack White led Highlands’ ground game with 148 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries. Gabe Williams carried the ball five times for 67 yards and a touchdown. Rio Litmer recorded 26 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Deven James carried the ball six times for 27 yards. Adam Surrey chipped in with 22 yards and a touchdown on three carries. Rio Litmer completed eight of 12 passes for 83 yards with two interceptions. Adam Surrey caught five passes for 46 yards. Tyus McCarter, Ian Garrahan, and Dominic Gregory each caught one pass for 16, 11, and 10 yards respectively. Gabe Williams returned one kickoff for 22 yards. Peyton Klosterman returned one kickoff for 16 yards. Adam Surrey returned two kickoffs for 16 yards. Tyus McCarter and Ethan Grimm led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles each. Isaac Niemann added five solo tackles. Adam Surrey recorded four solo and two assisted tackles. Gabe Williams intercepted a pass.

Cash Harney led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 152 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries. Dylan Gaiser carried the ball 13 times for 37 yards. Cash Harney completed nine of 17 passes for 163 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Dylan Gaiser caught five passes for 43 yards. Nicholas Krallman caught a 75 yard touchdown pass. Tate Kruer added two receptions for 38 yards. Dylan Gaiser returned two kickoffs for 59 yards. Zach Brooks returned two kickoffs for 56 yards. Brady Guard led the defense with 11 solo and two assisted tackles. Andrew Bessler added 10 solo tackles. Tate Kruer recorded seven solo and three assisted tackles. Dylan Gaiser chipped in with seven solo tackles. Logan Sanning intercepted a pass and recovered a fumble. James Koop intercepted a pass.

Franklin County defeated Lexington Christian Academy by the score of 39-33. Franklin County recorded 17 first downs and 356 yards of total offense. The Flyers were penalized twice for 27 yards and lost a fumble. Lexington Christian Academy recorded 20 first downs and 382 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized four times for 40 yards and lost a fumble.

Christian Moore led Franklin County’s ground game with 148 yards and five touchdowns on 21 carries. Delano Collins added 101 yards on 10 carries. Carter Richardson completed six of eight passes for 93 yards. Jacob Taylor caught two passes for 17 yards. Delano Collins, Luke Toothaker, and Christian Moore each caught one pass for 30, 24, and 20 yards respectively. Juice Robinson returned one kickoff for 77 yards. Hunter Gotshall returned one kickoff for 15 yards. Easton Powell kicked off six times with six touchbacks, kicked four extra points, and added a 37 yard field goal. Kaden Campbell led the defense with six solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss. Jacob Olds added five solo and five assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses titaling five yards. Hunter Gotshall recorded three solo and eight assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards.

Saxton Howard led Lexington Christian Academy’s ground game with 100 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries. Leland Edwards carried the ball 14 times for 98 yards and two touchdowns. Paxton Gray recorded 38 yards on eight carries. Mac Darland chipped in with 26 yards on eight carries. Saxton Howard completed 12 of 15 passes for 120 yards and one touchdown. Sam Pearson caught four passes for 23 yards. Tyler King added three receptions for 50 yards and a touchdown. Paxton Gray recorded two receptions for 37 yards. Saxton Howard returned one kickoff for 16 yards. Isaac Collons kicked off six times for a 57.5 average with four touchbacks. Daven Hood led the defense with five solo and one assisted tackles. Boyle County dominated play tonight in a 48-8 victory over Bryan Station. Boyle County recorded 22 first downs and 419 yards of total offense. The Rebels were penalized seven times for 51 yards. Bryan Station recorded three first downs and 66 yards of total offense. The Defenders were penalized nine times for 54 yards and lost a fumble.

DeMauriah Brown led Boyle County’s ground game with 57 yards on five carries. Montavin Quisenberry carried the ball four times for 47 yards and two touchdowns. Brock Driver recorded 26 yards on three carries. Gage Feltner added 16 yards and a touchdown on one carry. Baylor Mattingly completed 11 of 12 passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns. Guy Turner completed five of six passes for 77 yards and two touchdowns. Montavin Quisenberry caught four passes for 78 yards and one touchdown. Lyndon Smith added two receptions for 51 yards and a touchdown. DeMauriah Brown recorded two receptions for 32 yards and a touchdown. Geordon Brown added two receptions for 32 yards. Trinity’s defense came up big tonight in a 23-13 road victory over Frederick Douglass. The Shamrocks intercepted two passes, recorded two fumble, and had key defensive stops all evening. Trinity recorded seven first downs and 133 yards of total offense. The Shamrocks were penalized 12 times for 82 yards. Frederick Douglass recorded eight first downs and 130 yards of total offense. The Broncos were penalized six times for 59 yards, lost two fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.

Jamaurion Berry led Trinity’s ground game with 44 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries. Zach Floyd carried the ball five times for 15 yards. Zane Johnson completed 10 of 23 passes for 82 yards and two touchdowns. Kaleb Warner caught three passes for 18 yards and a touchdown. Jamaurion Berry added two receptions for eight yards and a touchdown. Joseph Ford caight one pass for 37 yards. John Wilson returned two kickoffs for 51 yards with a long return of 33 yards. Joseph Ford led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles. Sekou Kamara added five solo and one assisted tackles. Caleb Ricks recorded one solo and six assisted tackles and intercepted a pass. Bailey Vance added two solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards. Sonny Bratcher-Gray also intercepted a pass. Keandre Thompson and AJ Hughes each recovered a fumble.

Dakari Talbert led Frederick Douglass’ ground game with 35 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries. Terry Cayson carried the ball six times for 26 yards. Jaxon Strautman completed five of 14 passes for 65 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions. Aveion Chenault caught two passes for 56 yards and a touchdown. Aveion Chenault returned four punts for 68 yards with a long return of 51 yards. Terry Cayson returned three kickoffs for 67 yards with a long return of 27 yards. Kaden Clay led the defense with three solo and two assisted tackles. Logan Busson and Cionne Conne added three solo and one assisted tackles each with two of Busson’s tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.

Great Crossing defeated Scott County by the score of 46-15 to win a big road game against their cross town rival. Great Crossing recorded 19 first downs and 366 yards of total offense. The Warhawks were penalized five times for 44 yards and lost a fumble. Scott County recorded 13 first downs and 231 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized 10 times for 67 yards, lost three fumbles, and had one pass intercepted.

Luke Ballard led Great Crossing’s ground game with 167 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries. Clayton Shaddix carried the ball four times for 49 yards and two touchdowns. Jeremiah Clark recorded 31 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. Jeremiah Clark completed eight of 14 passes for 119 yards and one touchdown. Taron Lewis caught three passes for 44 yards and a touchdown. Julez Hill added two receptions for 11 yards. Britton Persley and Clayton Shaddix each caught one pass for 33 and 28 yards respectively. Jacob Johnson returned one punt for 17 yards and returned three kickoffs for 63 yards with a long return of 26 yards. Jeremiah Clark punted three times for a 41.0 average with a long punt of 45 yards and two downed inside the 20 yard line. Wyatt Highly led the defense with eight solo and four assisted tackles. Carson Kidwell added five solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards and recorded a safety. Daniel Corn recorded four solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards. Clayton Shaddix recorded three solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards and recovered a fumble. Jacob Johnson and Logan Clayton each recovered a fumble and Caden Bays intercepted a pass.

Kayne Garrett led Scott County’s ground game with 97 yards on 18 carries. Ali Hamdiyah carried the ball seven times for 64 yards. Andrew Hickey ran for one touchdown. Andrew Hickey completed six of 11 passes for 49 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Eli Lilly caught four passes for 39 yards and one touchdown. Woodford County’s defense held Paul Laurence Dunbar to 33 yards of total offense and an anemic 0.8 yards per offensive play in a 42-0 victory over the Bulldogs tonight. Woodford County recorded 12 first downs and 298 yards of total offense. The Yellow Jackets were penalized six times for 66 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted. Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded six first downs and 33 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs were penalized twice for 17 yards and lost four fumbles.

Darrian Tomlin led Woodford County’s ground game with 40 yards on four carries. Jaiden Shegog carried the ball once for 36 yards and a touchdown. Justus Wertzler completed six of eight passes for 90 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Lemmie Coons completed three of five passes for 116 yards and two touchdowns. Wyatt Crowe caught three passes for 103 yards and a touchdown. Makhi Smith added three receptions for 46 yards and two touchdowns. Omari Jointer added a nine yard touchdown reception. Laland Taylor returned two punts for 63 yards including a long return of 39 yards. Josh Campagn returned one punt for 23 yards. Bode Darland returned one kickoff for 19 yards. Dayvion Sturgis led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 22 yards. Ivan Turner added two solo and one assisted tackles. Jaden McKinney added two solo tackles and recovered a fumble. Wyatt Peters scored on a 57 yard fumble recovery return. Samuel Senters and Sam Hash each recovered a fumble.

Anthony Boykin led Dunbar’s ground game with 33 yards on six carries. Ryan Barrett carried the ball once for 32 yards. Steven Estepp completed five of 11 passes for 39 yards. Conner Norsworthy caught four passes for 37 yards. Conner Norsworthy returned three kickoffs for 52 yards with a long return of 23 yards. Tates Creek defeated Madison Southern by the score of 51-32 in a game highlighted by offensive fireworks. There were six touchdowns in the game that covered more than 70 yards. Tates Creek recorded 16 first downs and 562 yards of total offense. The Commodores were penalized 11 times for 100 yards. Madison Southern recorded 14 first downs and 365 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized eight times for 46 yards and lost a fumble.

BJ Evans led Tates Creek’s ground game with 310 yards and four touchdowns on 20 carries. Darnell Burnside completed 10 of 16 passes for 237 yards and three touchdowns. Marquis Hale caught four passes for 67 yards and a touchdown. Luke Cooper added three receptions for 157 yards and two touchdowns. K. Bell-Pointer returned one kickoff for 19 yards. Skylar Clay returned two kickoffs for 15 yards with a long return of 14 yards. Detrell Johnson led the defense with seven solo and five assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards. Max Stump added four solo and two assisted tackles.
