Logan Ford kicked a 35 yard field goal with two seconds left on the clock to give Woodford County a 38-35 victory over Scott County in an offensive shootout. The two teams combined for 73 points, 46 first downs, and 930 yards of total offense. Woodford County recorded 27 first downs and 510 yards of total offense. The Yellowjackets were penalized six times for 48 yards and had one pass intercepted. Scott County recorded 19 first downs and 420 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized 12 times for 89 yards.

Wyatt Crowe led Woodford County’s ground game with 50 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. Justus Wertzler carried the ball nine times for 41 yards. Justus Wertzler completed 32 of 51 passes for 404 yards and four touchdowns with one interception. Mekhi Smith caught eight passes for 83 yards and a touchdown. Jalen Johnson added seven receptions for 111 yards. Omari Jointer recorded six receptions for 87 yards and two touchdowns. Leland Taylor chipped in with six receptions for 85 yards and a touchdown. Wyatt Crowe caught four passes for 41 yards. Leland Taylor returned two kickoffs for 56 yards with a long return of 32 yards. Wyatt Peters returned two kickoffs for 26 yards with a long return of 16 yards. David Jones returned one kickoff for 10 yards. Reese Allen led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles. D. Jones added five solo tackles. Chris Reed recorded four solo tackles.

Ali Hamdiyah led Scott County’s ground game with 133 yards on 14 carries. Kayne Garrett added 101 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries. Jackson Damron recorded 73 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. Andrew Hickey completed four of five passes for 101 yards. Eli Lilly caught two passes for 27 yards. Timmy Emongo added one reception for 46 yards. Issac York recorded one catch for 28 yards. Timmy Emongo returned two kickoffs for 111 yards including a 95 yard return for a touchdown. Bryson Sanford led the defense with six solo tackles. Asher Brewer added five solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 22 yards. Elijah Farris recorded four solo tackles. Jackson Damron chipped in with three solo and two assisted tackles with 1,5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards. Josh Greene added three solo and one assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.

Henry Clay defeated Paul Laurence Dunbar 21-6 to earn their first victory in over two years. Henry Clay recorded nine first downs and 256 yards of total offense. The Blue Devils were penalized eight times for 55 yards and lost two fumbles. Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded 16 first downs and 258 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs were penalized nine times for 100 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Keontae Edwards led Henry Clay’s ground game with 127 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries. Zac Hoellein carried the ball 11 times for 40 yards. Keontae Edwards completed seven of nine passes for 93 yards and one touchdown. Luke DiNardo caught four passes for 85 yards and a touchdown. Isaiah McQueen returned one kickoff for 29 yards. Luke DiNardo led the defense with six solo and four assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards and intercepted a pass he returned 18 yards. Zac Hoellein added four solo and five assisted tackles. Nick Jones recordedd three solo and five assisted tackles.William Ballard chipped in with one solo and six assisted tackles. Pacifique Nduwayo led Paul Laurence Dunbar;s ground game with 88 yards on 25 carries. Anthony Boykin added 29 yards on six carries. Steven Estepp completed 13 of 27 passes for 124 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions. Conner Norsworthy caught five passes for 53 yards and one touchdown. Ryan Barrett added three receptions for 35 yards. Casey Monast recorded two receptions for 33 yards. Conner Norsworthy returned three kickoffs for 82 yards with a long return of 39 yards. Moses Mafuta led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards. Luke Ayoob added four solo and two assisted tackles. Anthony Flynn recorded four solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss. Grayson Rogers chipped in with one solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss. William Amstutz and Bryson Brawner each recovered a fumble.

Tates Creek defeated Lafayette by the score of 46-30. Tates Creek recorded 21 first downs and 501 yards of total offense. The Commodores were penalized 16 times for 147 yards. Lafayette recorded 13 firsy downs and 210 yards of total offense. The Generals were penalized five times for 35 yards and had two passes intercepted.

BJ Evans led Tates Creek’s ground game with 256 yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries. Stephen Jones carried the ball six times for 58 yards. Darnell Burnside completed nine of 16 passes for 198 yards and five touchdowns. Luke Cooper caught six passes for 132 yards and three touchdowns. JT Cooper added three receptions for 66 yards and two touchdowns. K. Bell-Pointer returned one kickoff for 17 yards. Daivion Dudley returned one kickoff for 13 yards. Luke Cooper punted three times for a 44.3 average with a long punt of 56 yards and one punt inside the 20 yard line. Detrell Johnson led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles. Tony Tavarez added four solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. D. Flowers recorded two solo and one assisted tackles. Luke Cooper and Daivion Dudley chipped in with two solo tackles and Dudley intercepted a pass he returned 38 yards. Stephen Jones added one solo and one assisted tackles with 1.5 of hos tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards. J. Slaughter also intercepted a pass.

JJ Richardson led Lafayette’s ground game with eight yards on three carries. H. Stephens added seven yards on two carries. Ransom Payton completed 10 of 25 passes for 174 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. Triston Taylor caught two passes for 47 yards and a touchdown. Jackson Grantz caught two passes for 18 yards. J. Stephens and Terrazae Taylor added touchdown receptions of 35 and 25 yards respectively. J, Stephens returned one punt for 19 yards. Triston Taylor returned five kickoffs for 134 yards including an 85 yard return for a touchdown. C. Giannone returned three kickoffs for 66 yards with a long return of 30 yards. DuPont Manual rallied from a 19-14 deficit after three quarters to earn a 29-22 road victory over St. Xavier. Gerian Traynor scored on a 63 yard run with 3:19 left in the game to give the Crimsons their winning margin. St. Xavier had several opportunities in this game but had to settle for field goals in three of their red-zone chances. DuPont Manual recorded 339 yards of total offense and had a pass intercepted. St. Xavier recorded 342 yards of total offense and had two passes intercepted.

Gerian Traynor led Manual’s ground game with 184 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries. Willis Nofsinger carried the ball onve for 40 yards. Kaden Mack added 15 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Kaden Mack completed nine of 11 passes for 100 yards and a touchdown with one interception. Brayland Miles caught four passes for 63 yards. Cameron Jessee caught a 13 yard touchdown pass. Noah Price recorded one reception for 10 yards. Dahmarie Wilson led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles. Devin Allen added four solo and three assisted tackles. Antwan Hogue recorded five solo, one assisted tackles, and recorded one sack. Aiden Blakey added three solo and three assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 21 yards. Braydon Underwood recorded four solo and one assisted tackles. Dequoria Warner also intercepted a pass he returned for eight yards.

Marlon Harbin III led St. Xavier’s ground game with 50 yards on 15 carries. Mason Trimble carried the ball 16 times for 44 yards. Mason Trimble completed 17 of 32 passes for 248 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions. Kyle Krupp caught three passes for 116 yards and two touchdowns. Lucas Shelton added six receptions for 49 yards. Anthony Barbee recorded four catches for 39 yards. Marlon Harbin III chipped in with three receptions for 32 yards. Luka Bentz led the defense with four solo and seven assisted tackles. Jackson Elstner added one solo and three assisted tackles. Karsten Busch recorded two solo, two assisted tackles, and recorded one sack. Rocco Poynter, Craig Byrd, and Devin Ryan each recorded one solo and three assisted tackles. Brennen Garr intercepted a pass.

Basketball on Grass”, “Fast Break Football”, “Madden Football”, whatever you want to call it, Corbin held on the defeat Johnson Central tonight by the score of 56-51. The two teams combined for a total of 107 points and 1292 yards of total offense in this “Wild West” shootout. Corbin had 620 yards while Johnson Central recorded 672 yards of total offense. Johnson Central had one pass intercepted while Corbin lost a fumble and had a pass intercepted.

Kade Elam led Corbin’s ground game with 142 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries. Cole Stevens added 57 yards on eight carries. Kade Elam completed 18 of 24 passes for 421 yards and six touchdowns with one interception. Noah Cima caught six passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns. Colton Creekmore added five receptions for 118 yards and two touchdowns. Cam Estep recorded four receptions for 104 yards and a touchdown. Cole Stevens chipped in with four receptions for 28 yards. Eli Pietrowski caught a 25 yard touchdown pass. Jonah Mahan led the defense with 18 solo and three assisted tackles. Griffin Bates added eight solo and seven assisted tackles. Braxton Jennings led Ashland Blazer’s ground game with 94 yards and four touchdowns on 11 carries. Cameron Davis carried the ball nine times for 53 yards and a touchdown. LaBryant Strader recorded 47 yards on six carries. Maverick Ashby chipped in with 35 yards on seven carries. LaBryant Strader completed 12 of 18 passes for 191 yards and two touchdowns. Conner led 32-19 at halftime and held on to defeat Dixie Heights by the score of 35-31. Conner recorded 15 first downs and 368 yards of total offense. The Cougars were penalized seven times for 58 yards. Dixie Heights recorded 20 first downs and 472 yards of total offense. The Colonels were penalized three times for 45 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Wyatt Hatfield led Conner’s ground game with 241 yards and three touchdowns on 33 carries. Cordion Abernathy added 70 yards on 17 carries. Wyatt Hatfield completed seven of nine passes for 53 yards and a touchdown. Chase Caplinger caught five passes for 36 yards and a touchdown. Cordion Abernathy led the defense with four solo and six assisted tackles. Chase Caplinger added five solo and four assisted tackles. Shepherd Dozier recorded four solo and three assisted tackles. Aydin Depenbrock chipped in with three solo and three assisted tackles. Camryn Correll intercepted one pass he returned 27 yards.

Frederick Douglass defeated Madison Central 21-14 in an emotional, hard fought game that had a bit of controversy. The score was tied 7-7 late in the first half when Madison Central’ s Shaun Reese appeared to have scored a touchdown on a short yardage play that would have given Madison Central the lead but the officials ruled he was stopped short to the dismay and displeasure of the home crowd. The replay on television appeared to show he had scored but the referees do not have the convenience of a replay. However, regardless of the outcome both teams gave a maximum effort in a hard fought contest. Frederick Douglass recorded nine first downs and 258 yards of total offense. The Broncos were penalized four times for 33 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted. Madison Central recorded 13 first downs and 282 yards of total offense. The Indians were penalized four times for 36 yards and suffered a late interception.

TayTay Allen led Frederick Douglass’ ground game with 106 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. Peyton Smith carried the ball nine times for 57 yards and two touchdowns. Jaxon Strautman completed six of 10 passes for 71 yards with one interception. Dakari Talbert caught four passes for 11 yards. Aveion Chenault caught one pass for 43 yards. Terry Cayson added one reception for 17 yards. Dakari Talbert returned one kickoff for 11 yards. Cedric Works led the defense with three solo and 10 assisted tackles. Seandre Maxberry added three solo and four assisted tackles. Keenan Banther recorded six solo tackles. Tacori Fields chipped in with four solo and two assisted tackles. Cionne Conn recorded two solo tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 33 yards.

Jeff Hairston led Madison Central’s ground game with 55 yards on four carries. Carson Herbst added 52 yards on 10 carries. Jackson Pritchard recorded 46 yards on six carries. C. Barnes chipped in with 27 yards on 13 carries. Bryant Mathis added 24 yards on nine carries. Shaun Reese recorded 13 yards and one touchdown on four carries. Carson Herbst completed three of 10 passes for 65 yards and a touchdown with one interception. Bryan Mathis caught one pass for 28 yards. Cody Morrison added one catch for 21 yards and a touchdown on a one handed circus catch in the end zone. Nathan Ogle caught one pass for 16 yards. Jeff Hairston returned two kickoffs for 14 yards with a long return of 10 yards. Sam Farmer led the defense with four solo and seven assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss. Liam Dailey added two solo and six assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Derek McElwee recorded four solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards. Cody Morrison chipped in with four solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting ina two yard loss. Jackson Pritcahard intercepted a pass he returned for five yards. Colten Johnson recovered a fumble.

Scott County rolled to a 28-7 victory over South Oldham tonight. Scott County recorded 17 first downs and 388 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized 11 times for 100 yards. South Oldham recorded 11 first downs and 199 yards of total offense. They were penalized four times for 25 yards and lost a fumble.

Ali Hamdiyah led Scott County’s ground game with 174 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries. Jackson Damron carried the ball eight times for 56 yards and a touchdown. Timmy Emongo recorded 53 yards on five carries. Kayne Garrett chipped in with 46 yards on 12 carries. Andrew Hickey completed two of six passes for 66 yards and a touchdown. Eli Lilly caught two passes for 66 yards and a touchdown. Jackson Damron returned one kickoff for 31 yards. Ali Hamdiyah returned one kickoff for 27 yards. R.
