Covington Catholic defeated Harrison County by the score of 56-6. Covington Catholic recorded 12 first downs and 410 yards of total offense. The Colonels were penalized three times for 42 yards and lost a fumble. Harrison County recorded four first downs and 83 yards of total offense. The Thorobreds were penalized once for five yards and had two passes intercepted.

Dylan Gaiser led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 108 yards and two touchdowns on three carries. Cash Harney carried the ball four times for 80 yards and a touchdown. Andrew Bessler recorded 25 yards and a touchdown on two carries. Mason Brandner added 21 yards and a touchdown on three carries. Logan Sanning and Owen Pitzer also ran for touchdowns. Cash Harney completed four of five passes for 93 yards and a touchdown. Tate Kruer caught one pass for 23 yards. Dylan Gaiser added one reception for 19 yards. Logan Sanning caught a seven yard touchdown pass. Dylan Gaiser and James Koop each returned one kickoff for 57 and 25 yards respectively. Tate Kruer led the defense with six solo tackles. Reid Luzak added four solo and one assisted tackles. Jackson Payne recorded three solo tackles. Owen Pitzer and Oliver Link each intercepted a pass.

Karsyn Sumpter led Harrison County’s ground game with 49 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries. Tanner Tumey carried the ball four times for 12 yards. JaCory Hinton recorded 12 yards on two carries. JaCory Hinton completed four of 13 passes for four yards with two interceptions. Tanner Tumey caught three passes for four yards. Tanner Tumey returned two kickoffs for 40 yards with a long return of 31 yards. Landon Custard returned two kickoffs for 31 yards with a long return of 17 yards. Hunter Jones returned two kickoffs for 26 yards with a long return of 16 yards. Karsyn Sumpter returned two kickoffs for 15 yards with a long return of 15 yards. Tanner Tumey led the defense with four solo tackles. Mason Wright and Karsyn Sumpter each recorded three solo tackles.

Central sent the rest of Class 3A a message as they raced out to a 48-21 halftime lead on their way to a 48-28 victory over Christian Academy of Louisville who has won the last two 3A titles. Central recorded 386 yards of total offense while Christian Academy of Louis recorded 218 yards. CAL also lost a fumble and had a pass intercepted.

Cortez Stone led Central’s ground game with 145 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries. Justin Brents carried the ball 10 times for 73 yards and a touchdown. Steven Smith added 20 yards and a touchdown on seven carries. Steven Smith completed two of three passes for 50 yards. Jermaine Walker completed two of two passes for 22 yards. Cortez Stone completed his only pass for 43 yards and a touchdown. Jermaine Walker caught one pass for 43 yards and a touchdown. Avaion Johnson-McNeal caught one pass for 36 yards. Justin Brents recorded two receptions for 29 yards. Brents also scored on a 77 yard kickoff return. Justin Brents led the defense with six solo tackles. Avaion Johnson-McNeal added five solo tackles. Amontez Woolfolk recorded four solo tackles, recovered a fumble, and intercepted a pass. Micah Williams and Zavion Meads also recorded four solo tackles each.

Connor Hodge led CAL’s ground game with 53 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries. Jeffrey Vazzana carried the ball four times for 23 yards and a touchdown. Connor Hodge completed eight of 15 passes for 143 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Tre Cotton caught three passes for 73 yards and one touchdown. Gaines Howard added two receptions for 48 yards. Jackson Settle led the defense with two solo and five assisted tackles. Chapman Russell and Kellan Hall each added three solo and four assisted tackles. Brody Cherry chipped in with one solo and six assisted tackles. Garyon Hobbs added three solo and three assisted tackles. Man Robinson recorded two solo and four assisted tackles. Grayden Reid and Tre Cotton each recorded three solo and two assisted tackles.

Ludlow defeated Bishop Brossart by the score of 46-35 in a game that was characterized by scoring “runs”. Ludlow led 21-7 after the first quarter but Bishop Brossart rallied to outscore Ludlow 21-7 in the second quarter and the game went to the intermission tied at 28-28. Ludlow outscored Bishop Brossart 18-0 in the third quarter to take control of the game. Ludlow recorded 415 yards of total offense but lost two fumbles and had two passes intercepted. Bishop Brossart recorded 354 yards of total offense and had three passes intercepted.

Dameyn Anness led Ludlow’s ground game with 200 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries. Aiden Smith-Baxley added 77 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries. Jackson Mays completed three of five passes for 100 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Carson Evans caught three passes for 100 yards and one touchdown. Gabe Payne scored on a 55 yard return of a blocked field goal attempt and Carson Evans scored on a 48 yard interception return. Carson Evans led the defense with six solo and four assisted tackles and scored a “pick six” on an interception return. Matt Brock added two solo and six assisted tackles. Spencer Brandenburg recorded five solo and two assisted tackles. Aiden Smith-Baxley chipped in with four solo and two assisted tackles. Dameyn Anness added two solo and four assisted tackles. Byron Conley and Spencer Brandenburg also recorded an interception each.

Cameron Mandel led Bishop Brossart’s ground game with 210 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries. Tyler Holtz completed 10 of 28 passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns with three interceptions. Nicholas Cozzi caught three passes for 66 yards and a touchdown. Landon Geyer added two receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown. Cameron Mandel recorded two receptions for 34 yards. Quinten Tischner led the defense with five solo and eight assisted tackles. Shane Willike added 11 solo and one assisted tackles. Cameron Mandel recorded four solo and two assisted tackles. Keegan Gulley and Joe Schroeder each recorded four solo and one assisted tackles. Cameron Mandel and Nolan Kruse each recovered a fumble and Landon Geyer, Nicholas Cozzi, and Isaac Amin recorded interceptions.

Highlands had to much offense tonight as they earned a 42-14 victory over Conner on the road. Highland recorded 546 yards of total offense. The Bluebirds were penalized seven times for 70 yards and lost a fumble. Conner recorded 320 yards of total offense. The Cougars were penalized twice for 15 yards and lost a fumble.

Deven James led Highlands’ ground game with 101 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries. Gabe Williams added 52 yards on three carries. Ethan Grimm recorded 25 yards on two carries. Rio Litmer chipped in with 17 yards on three carries. Rio Litmer completed 26 of 32 passes for 335 yards and four touchdowns. Jackson Arnold caught 11 passes for 161 yards and two touchdowns. Tayden Lorenzen added six receptions for 67 yards and two touchdowns. John Feldbrugge recorded three receptions for 37 yards. Thomas Hicks led the defense with six solo and seven assisted tackles. Ethan Grimm added four solo and eight assisted tackles. Isaac Neimann recorded two solo and six assisted tackles. Tommy Ferring chipped in with two solo and five assisted tackles. Gabe Williams recorded four solo and two assistede tackles. Dominic Gregory recovered a fumble he returned 32 yards.

Frederick Douglass earned an impressive 24-6 victory over Bryan Station today. Frederick Douglass recorded 15 first downs and 299 yards of total offense. The Broncos were penalized nine times for 83 yards and had two passes intercepted. Bryan Station recorded 11 first downs and 183 yards of total offense. The Defenders were penalized four times for 37 yards and lost a fumble.

Peyton Smith led Frederick Douglass; ground game with 110 yards on 14 carries. Pharo Watts carried the ball 11 times for 101 yards. Dakari Talbert recorded 45 yards and three touchdowns on nine carries. Jaxon Strautman completed three of eight passes for 24 yards with two interceptions. Derion Talbert caught two passes for 19 yards. Terry Cayson returned one kickoff for 23 yards. Logan Busson led the defense with six solo and three assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 17 yards. Tacori Fields added seven solo and one assisted tackles. Dacoldus Fields recorded four solo and one assisted tackles.

Kalen Washington Led Bryan Station’s ground game with 136 yards and one touchdown on 26 carries. James Davis carried the ball 10 times for 40 yards. James Davis completed three of 14 passes for 23 yards. MonTae Ashford caught two passes for 18 yards. Kalen Washington returned two kickoffs for 43 yards with a long return of 24 yards. WEB DuBois Academy recorded four first downs and 182 yards of total offense. WEB DuBoise was penalized six times for 47 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Leland Edwards led Lexington Christian Academy’s ground game with 108 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. Sam Pearson carried the ball twice for 98 yards and a touchdown. Saxton Howard recorded 73 yards and a touchdown on four carries. Daven Hood carried the ball three times for 23 yards. Mac Darland recorded 13 yards and a touchdown on two carries. Saxton Howard completed nine of 15 passes for 134 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. Sam Pearson caught five passes for 84 yards and three touchdowns. Daven Hood caught two passes for 39 yards. Tyler King returned one kickoff for 16 yards. Isaac Collins kicked off eight times for a 56.4 average and four touchbacks. Hunter Adams led the defense with five solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss. Thomas Sizemore added two solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a five yard loss and intercepted a pass he returned 16 yards. Daven Hood recorded two solo tackles. Tyler King intercepted a pass he returned for eight yards and Max Disterdick recovered a fumble.

Maresse Naves led WEB DuBois ground game with 20 yards on nine carries. Brian Dickerson completed seven of 16 passes for 169 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions. Wychoff Morris caught two passes for 46 yards and a touchdown. Cameron Brown added one reception for 78 yards. Maresse Naves added a seven yard touchdown reception. Jaden Mostiller returned two kickoffs for 30 yards with a long return of 15 yards. Wychoff Morris returned one kickoff for 58 yards. Jordan Dickerson led the defense with three solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 44 yards. Collins Dennis and Troy Ricketts each recorded two solo and two assisted tackles.

Logan Ford kicked a 35 yard field goal with two seconds left on the clock to give Woodford County a 38-35 victory over Scott County in an offensive shootout. The two teams combined for 73 points, 46 first downs, and 930 yards of total offense. Woodford County recorded 27 first downs and 510 yards of total offense. The Yellowjackets were penalized six times for 48 yards and had one pass intercepted. Scott County recorded 19 first downs and 420 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized 12 times for 89 yards.

Wyatt Crowe led Woodford County’s ground game with 50 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. Justus Wertzler carried the ball nine times for 41 yards. Justus Wertzler completed 32 of 51 passes for 404 yards and four touchdowns with one interception. Mekhi Smith caught eight passes for 83 yards and a touchdown. Jalen Johnson added seven receptions for 111 yards. Omari Jointer recorded six receptions for 87 yards and two touchdowns. Leland Taylor chipped in with six receptions for 85 yards and a touchdown. Wyatt Crowe caught four passes for 41 yards. Leland Taylor returned two kickoffs for 56 yards with a long return of 32 yards. Wyatt Peters returned two kickoffs for 26 yards with a long return of 16 yards. David Jones returned one kickoff for 10 yards. Reese Allen led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles. D. Jones added five solo tackles. Chris Reed recorded four solo tackles.

Ali Hamdiyah led Scott County’s ground game with 133 yards on 14 carries. Kayne Garrett added 101 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries. Jackson Damron recorded 73 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. Andrew Hickey completed four of five passes for 101 yards. Eli Lilly caught two passes for 27 yards. Timmy Emongo added one reception for 46 yards. Issac York recorded one catch for 28 yards. Timmy Emongo returned two kickoffs for 111 yards including a 95 yard return for a touchdown. Bryson Sanford led the defense with six solo tackles. Asher Brewer added five solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 22 yards. Elijah Farris recorded four solo tackles. Jackson Damron chipped in with three solo and two assisted tackles with 1,5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards. Josh Greene added three solo and one assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.

The Blue Devils were penalized eight times for 55 yards and lost two fumbles. Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded 16 first downs and 258 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs were penalized nine times for 100 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Keontae Edwards led Henry Clay’s ground game with 127 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries. Zac Hoellein carried the ball 11 times for 40 yards. Keontae Edwards completed seven of nine passes for 93 yards and one touchdown. Luke DiNardo caught four passes for 85 yards and a touchdown. Isaiah McQueen returned one kickoff for 29 yards. Luke DiNardo led the defense with six solo and four assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards and intercepted a pass he returned 18 yards. Ryan Barrett added three receptions for 35 yards. Casey Monast recorded two receptions for 33 yards. Conner Norsworthy returned three kickoffs for 82 yards with a long return of 39 yards. Moses Mafuta led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards. Luke Ayoob added four solo and two assisted tackles. Anthony Flynn recorded four solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss. Lafayette recorded 13 firsy downs and 210 yards of total offense. The Generals were penalized five times for 35 yards and had two passes intercepted.

BJ Evans led Tates Creek’s ground game with 256 yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries. Stephen Jones carried the ball six times for 58 yards. Darnell Burnside completed nine of 16 passes for 198 yards and five touchdowns. Luke Cooper caught six passes for 132 yards and three touchdowns. JT Cooper added three receptions for 66 yards and two touchdowns. K. Bell-Pointer returned one kickoff for 17 yards. Daivion Dudley returned one kickoff for 13 yards. Luke Cooper punted three times for a 44.3 average with a long punt of 56 yards and one punt inside the 20 yard line. Detrell Johnson led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles. Tony Tavarez added four solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. D. Flowers recorded two solo and one assisted tackles. DuPont Manual rallied from a 19-14 deficit after three quarters to earn a 29-22 road victory over St. Xavier. Gerian Traynor scored on a 63 yard run with 3:19 left in the game to give the Crimsons their winning margin. St. Xavier had several opportunities in this game but had to settle for field goals in three of their red-zone chances. DuPont Manual recorded 339 yards of total offense and had a pass intercepted. St. Xavier recorded 342 yards of total offense and had two passes intercepted.

Gerian Traynor led Manual’s ground game with 184 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries. Willis Nofsinger carried the ball onve for 40 yards. Kaden Mack added 15 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Kaden Mack completed nine of 11 passes for 100 yards and a touchdown with one interception. Brayland Miles caught four passes for 63 yards. Cameron Jessee caught a 13 yard touchdown pass. Noah Price recorded one reception for 10 yards. Dahmarie Wilson led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles. Devin Allen added four solo and three assisted tackles. Antwan Hogue recorded five solo, one assisted tackles, and recorded one sack. Aiden Blakey added three solo and three assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 21 yards. Braydon Underwood recorded four solo and one assisted tackles. Dequoria Warner also intercepted a pass he returned for eight yards.

Marlon Harbin III led St. Xavier’s ground game with 50 yards on 15 carries. Mason Trimble carried the ball 16 times for 44 yards. Mason Trimble completed 17 of 32 passes for 248 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions. Kyle Krupp caught three passes for 116 yards and two touchdowns. Lucas Shelton added six receptions for 49 yards. Anthony Barbee recorded four catches for 39 yards. Marlon Harbin III chipped in with three receptions for 32 yards. Luka Bentz led the defense with four solo and seven assisted tackles. Jackson Elstner added one solo and three assisted tackles. Karsten Busch recorded two solo, two assisted tackles, and recorded one sack. Rocco Poynter, Craig Byrd, and Devin Ryan each recorded one solo and three assisted tackles. Brennen Garr intercepted a pass.
