Covington Catholic raced out to a 42-0 halftime lead, substituted liberally in the second half and earned a 42-28 victory over Campbell County. Covington Catholic recorded eight first downs and 306 yards of total offense. The Colonels were penalized three times for 31 yards and had two passes intercepted. Campbell County recorded nine first downs and 214 yards of total offense. The Camels were penalized once for 15 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Cash Harney led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 101 yards and two touchdowns on three carries. Dylan Gaiser added 89 yards and two touchdowns on six carries. Cash Harney completed four of six passes for 97 yards and two touchdowns. Emmitt McQueen completed one of three passes for 17 yards with two interceptions. Oliver Link caught two passes for 66 yards and two touchdowns. Owen Pitzer caught one pass for 22 yards. Donovan Bradshaw added one reception for 17 yards. Zach Brooks returned one kickoff for 51 yards. James Koop returned two kickoffs for 44 yards with a long return of 28 yards. Tate Kruer led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles and intercepted a pass. Andrew Bessler added four solo tackles. Brady Guard recorded three solo and one assisted tackles. Zach Brooks and Logan Sanning each recorded three solo tackles. Dylan Gaiser also intercepted a pass.

Lucas Anthrop led Campbell County’s ground game with 102 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries. Aiden Dowds added 30 yards and a touchdown on seven carries. Garyn Jackson recorded 12 yards on three carries. Trevor Bertram also ran for a touchdown. Lucas Anthrop completed 10 of 18 passes for 65 yards with two interceptions. Xavier Francher caught five passes for 31 yards. Garyn Jackson and Carson Clark each caught two passes for 16 and 11 yards respectively. Xavier Francher returned three kickoffs for 15 yards with a long return of 15 yards. Elliott Eaton and Trevor Bertram each returned a kickoff for 19 and 14 yards respectively. Elijah Depperschmidt led the defense with three solo and two assisted tackles. Isaac Mason and Mason Haywood each recorded one solo and two assisted tackles. Aiden Bowds and Trevor Bertram each intercepted a pass with return yardage of 18 and 17 yard respectively.

Southwestern controlled play tonight in a 31-0 shut out victory over Henry Clay. Southwestern recorded 16 first downs and 312 yards of total offense. The Warriors were penalized eight times for 77 yards and lost a fumble. Henry Clay recorded seven first downs and 113 yards of total offense. The Blue Devils were penalized three times for 15 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Braxton Walters led Southwestern’s ground game with 107 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries. Antajuan Dumphord carried the ball seven times for 62 yards and a touchdown. Aiden Whitson recorded 60 yards on five carries. Logan Haynes chipped in with 55 yards on six carries. Tayden Richardson completed two of five passes for 23 yards and a touchdown. Antajuan Dumphord completed two of two passes for three yards. Antajuan Dumphord caught a 15 yard touchdown pass. Logan Haynes returned one kickoff for 48 yards. Elijah Ray led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a five yard loss and scored on a 55 yard interception return. Bryton Burton added three solo and three assisted tackles. Drew Inabnitt recorded two solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Braxton Walters recorded one solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 42 yards.

Keontae Edwards led Henry Clay’s ground game with 36 yards on nine carries. Zac Hoellein carried the ball five times for 23 yards. Keontae Edwards completed four of 16 passes for 45 yards with one interception. Liam Marrs attempted one pass which was intercepted. Isaiah McQueen caught two passes for 32 yards. Antoine Webb returned two kickoffs for 33 yards with a long return of 29 yards. Luke DiNardo returned two kickoffs for 37 yards with a long return of 20 yards. Luke DiNardo led the defense with fous solo and six assisted tackles. Frank Niyonyishu added two solo and five assisted tackles. Jayceon Jackson recorded one solo and seven assisted tackles. Zac Hoellein chipped in with two solo and four assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards. Maliki Gill also recorded two solo and four assisted tackles.

Nash Whelan completed one of two passes for 46 yards. Paxton Gray caught one pass for 46 yards. Sam Pearson returned one kickoff for 32 yards. Mac Darland led the defense with sive solo and 12 assisted tackles. Hunter Adams added two solo and 15 assisted tackles. Thomas Sizemore recorded four solo and seven assisted tackles. Nash Whelan chipped in with four solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss.

Jonah Arnett led Raceland’s ground game with 77 yards on 14 carries. Shannon Marushi carried the ball 24 times for 75 yards and a touchdown. Bryan Station defeated Central Hardin by the score of 35-7. The score was tied 7-7 at halftime but Bryan Station outscored Central Hardin 28-0 after the intermission. Bryan Station recorded 12 first downs and 280 yards of total offense. The Defenders were penalized five times for 45 yards. Central Hardin recorded 15 first downs and 256 yards of total offense. The Bruins were penalized twice for 20 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Kalen Washington led Bryan Station;s ground game with 145 yards and three touchdowns on 21 carries. Akeem Clay added 29 yards on three carries. James Davis carried the ball twice for 24 yards. Jordan Haskins chipped in with 11 yards on two carries. TaeAndre Clark ran for a touchdown. James Davis completed six of 11 passes for 62 yards. Jordan Haskins caught two passes for 24 yards. Boyle County defeated Frederick Douglass tonight by the score of 38-17 further adding to the popular opinion they may be the best team in the state regardless of class. Boyle County recorded 18 first downs and 451 yards of total offense. The Rebels were penalized eight times for 66 yards. Frederick Douglass recorded eight first downs and 220 yards of total offense. The Broncos were penalized six times for 58 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Demauriah Brown led the Boyle County ground game with 203 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries. Montavin Quisenberry added 138 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries. Gege Feltner and Seneca Driver each run for a touchdown. Baylor Murphy carried the ball 12 of 17 passes for 73 yards. Montavin Quisenberry completed his only pass for 18 yards and a touchdown. Montavin Quisenberry caught eight passes for 49 yards. Lyndon Smith caught an 18 yard touchdown reception. Bubby McPherson returned two kickoffs for 24 yard with a ;ong return of 14 yards. Gage Feltner led the defense with eight solo and two assisted tackles withtwo of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards. Lexington Catholic defeated Scott County 36-29 in overtime. Scott County took a 21-10 lead midway through the third quarter but Lexington Catholic rallied to take a 29-21 lead with two minutes left in regulation. Buddy Collins scored on a six yard run and Eli Lilly scored on a 2-point conversion run to tie the game at 29-29 with 25 seconds left and the game went into overtime. Scott County won the toss and elected to go on defense in overtime. Lexington Catholic scored on a two yard pass from Matthew Kern to J. Kreutzer and F. Wedding tacked on the conversion kick to take a 36-29 lead. Scott County went on defense but on a fourth-and-goal from the LexCath one yard line they were stopped short and the Knights earned a big road victory. Lexington Catholic recorded 16 first downs and 361 yards of total offense. The Knights were penalized six times for 63 yards and lost a fumble. Scott County recorded 21 first downs and 334 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized six times for 60 yards and lost a fumble.

Matthew Kern led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 53 yards and a touchdown on seven carries. Aven Blair added 37 yards on eight carries. Matthew Kern completed 23 of 30 passes for 257 yards and four touchdowns. J. Kreutzer caught nine passes for 66 yards and two touchdowns. Brady Wasik added five receptions for 77 yards. Aven Blair recorded three receptions for 39 yards. Duncan Gaunce caught two passes for 26 yards and a touchdown. Cole Space chipped in with two receptions for 21 yards and a touchdown. Duncan Gaunce returned two kickoffs for 23 yards with a long return of 18 yards. M. Cashman returned two kickoffs for 12 yards with a long return of 12 yards. William Weber returned one kickoff for 15 yards. John Moses led the defense with eight solo and five assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a six yard loss. Jacob Dudek added five solo and four assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 30 yards. Aven Blair recorded five solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss. Isaiah Mashni chipped in with five solo and two assisted tackles. Jack White recorded two solo and six assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 10 yard loss.

Ali Hamdiyah led Scott County’s ground game with 76 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. Timmy Emongo carried the ball 11 times for 66 yards and a touchdown. Kayne Garrett recorded 40 yards on 15 carries. Buddy Collins chipped in with 18 yards and a touchdown on three carries. Andrew Hickey completed seven of 13 passes for 112 yards and one touchdown. Eli Lilly caught four passes for 12 yards. Issac York added two receptions for 61 yards. Timmy Emongo added a 39 yard touchdown reception. Timmy Emongo returned two kickoffs for 49 yards with a long return of 31 yards. Buddy Collins led the defense with six solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Asher Brewer added four solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss. Timmy Emongo recorded five solo tackles and Greg Brown chipped in with four solo and two assisted tackles. Red Owens added two solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 10 yard loss. Anthony Crace recovered a fumble.

Tates Creek scored two touchdowns in the last minute of the first half to take a 21-14 lead on their way to a 42-21 victory over West Jessamine. Tates Creek utilized their big play capability both on the ground and through the air to earn the victory. Tates Creek recorded 16 first downs and 379 yards of total offense. The Commodores were penalized nine times for 99 yards. West Jessamine recorded 15 first downs and 253 yards of total offense. The Colts were penalized six times for 42 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

BJ Evans led Tates Creek’s ground game with 260 yards and three touchdowns on 21 carries. Darnell Burnside added 32 yards on three carries. Stephen Jones recorded 17 yards on five carries. Darnell Burnside completed six of 17 passes for 82 yards and three touchdowns. JT Cooper caught three passes for 75 yards and two touchdowns. Detrell Johnson caught a touchdown pass. JT Cooper returned two kickoffs for 24 yards with a long return of 25 yards. Luke Cooper and Kane Bell-Pointer each returned one kickoff for 16 and 13 yards respectively. Detrell Johnson led the defense with three solo and nine assisted tackles, recovered a fumble, and intercepted a pass he returned 17 yards. Jaysean Layne added four solo and four assisted tackles. D’Vaughn Flowers recorded three solo and five assisted tackles. Bryson Beatty chipped in with four solo and three assisted tackles.

Bragdon Welch led West Jessamine’s ground game with 73 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries. Chase Satterwhite added nine yards on one carry. Gabriel Smith also scored a touchdown on the ground. Gabriel Smith completed 20 of 30 passes for 170 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Chase Satterwhite caught six passes for 34 yards. Cooper Wiley added five receptions for 80 yards. Nash Bird, Bragdon Welch, Luke Allen, and Braydon Hager each caught two passes for 21, 15, 13, and 12 yards respectively with Braydon Hager recording a touchdown reception. Chase Satterwhite returned two punts for 36 yards with a long return of 20 yards and returned a kickoff for 26 yards. Bragdon Welch returned two kickoffs for 27 yards with a long return of 21 yards. Corban Umbrell returned one kickoff for 11 yards. Nash Bird led the defense with three solo and four assisted tackles. Aiden Blanton added two solo and five assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards. Isaiah Wilkinson recorded two solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Bragdon Welch recorded three solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss.

Lafayette defeated East Jessamine by the score of 41-15. Lafayette recorded 10 first downs and 195 yards of total offense. The Generals were penalized nine times for 84 yards. East Jessamine recorded 23 first downs and 343 yards of total offense. The Jaguars were penalized three times for 25 yards, lost a fumble, and had three passes intercepted.

Triston Taylor led Lafayette’s ground game with 22 yards on three carries. Mekhi Taylor ran for a touchdown. Ransom Payton completed 10 of 19 passes for 175 yards and three touchdowns. Christian Giannone caught three passes for 34 yards. Cale Locklar added two receptions for 68 yards and a touchdown. Triston Taylor caught two passes for 25 yards. Isaac Barrow and Jackson Stephens each recorded a touchdown reception of 24 and 23 yards respectively. Jackson Stephens returned one punt for 11 yards and two kickoffs for 97 yards including an 84 yard return for a touchdown. Terrazae Taylor returned one kickoff for 11 yards. Matthew Hardin led the defense with 10 solo and five assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss. Jackson Grantz added eight solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 27 yards. Keiwan Franklin recorded five solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Eastern rallied from a 28-10 halftime deficit to defeat Paul Laurence Dunbar 32-31 on a 41 yard field goal by Karon Moore as time expired. Eastern had rallied to take a 29-28 lead but Dunbar responded by taking a 31-29 lead on a 25 yard field goal by Joseph Davies with 59 seconds remaining on the clock setting the stage for Moore’s last second heroics. Eastern recorded 17 first downs and 276 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized eight times for 72 yards, lost a fumble, and had one pass intercepted. Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded 15 first downs and 372 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs were penalized 20 times for 199 yards and lost two fumbles.

Tristen Martin led Eastern’s ground game with 16 yards on six carries. Grayson Napier ran for one touchdown. Zane Wagner completed 18 of 29 passes for 285 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. Mykel Bradshaw caught six passes for 88 yards and a touchdown. Grayson Napier added six receptions for 86 yards. Nathan Wagner recorded five catches for 114 yards and two touchdowns. Nathan Wagner returned two kickoffs for 25 yards with a long return of 27 yards, Zion Barnes returned one kickoff for 28 yards. Cameron Russ and Mykel Bradhaw each returned one kickoff for 11 and 10 yards respectively. Ashton Thompson led the defense with six solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards. Jake McClain added five solo tackles. Brennan Murray recorded four solo and one assisted tackles. Dayshawn Tharpe and Grayson Napier each recorded four solo tackles. Tristen Martin recovered two fumbles.

Dominic Faulkner led Dunbar’s ground game with 148 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries. Pacifique Nduwayo added 101 yards on 15 carries. Jerzee Mays recorded 58 yards on 12 carries. Elijah Lewis ran for a touchdown. Dominic Faulkener completed six of 10 passes for 66 yards and a touchdown. Jayshawn Crosby caught two passes for 39 yards and a touchdown. Conner Norsworthy added two receptions for 21 yards. Jayshawn Crosby returned four kickoffs for 75 yards with a long return of 20 yards. Dominic Faulkner returned one kickoff for 18 yards. Jacob Konate led the defense with nine solo and one assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards and intercepted a pass he returned for 35 yards. Laz Bowman added six solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards. Grayson Rogers recorded three solo tackles. Covington Catholic shut down the Mason County offense in a 49-0 shut out victory over the Royals tonight. Covington Catholic recorded 12 first downs and 281 yards of total offense. The Colonels were penalized once for five yards. Mason County recorded four first downs and 124 yards of total offense. The Royals were penalized six times for 50 yards, lost a fumble, and had three passes intercepted.

Cash Harney led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 73 yards and three touchdowns on seven carries. Dylan Gaiser carried the ball eight times for 45 yards. Andrew Bessler added 33 yards and a touchdown on two carries. Mason Brandner recorded 24 yards on three carries. Owen Pitzer chipped in with 22 yards and a touchdown on two carries. Sam Boyce carried the ball once for 18 yards and a touchdown. Tate Kruer also ran for a touchdown. Cash Harney completed five of 11 passes for 45 yards. Logan Sanning and Nicholas Krallman each caught one pass for 16 and 15 yards respectively. Andrew Bessler led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles. Sam Boyce and Jackson Payne each recorded three solo tackles. Nicholas Krallman recovered a fumble and Logan Sanning intercepted two passes and Zach Brooks recorded one interception.

Josiah Brooks led Mason County’s ground game with 14 yards on four carries. Hayden Horn added 14 yards on three carries. Reid Anderson recorded 12 yards on three carries.
