Great Crossing coach Steve Page countered with 6-7 Fr. Brady Orem, 6-5 Sr, Vince Dawson III, 7-1 Sr. Malachi Moreno, 5-9 Sr. Junius Burrell, and 6-5 Sr. Gage Richardson.

Great Crossing defeated Covington Catholic by the score of 71-60. Great Crossing shot 61,7% from the field including two of seven from the three point line. The Warhawks connected on 11 of 17 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored four points off three Covington Catholic turnovers. Covington Catholic shot 36.9% from the field including 10 of 30 from beyond the arc. The Colonels connected on two of two free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 12 Great Crossing turnovers.

Malachi Moreno led Great Crossing with 25 points and 19 rebounds. Vince Dawson III added 16 points, six rebounds, and two assists. Junius Burrell recorded 11 points, four rebounds, and four assists. 6-1 So. LJ Holman chipped in with 10 points and six rebounds.

West Jessamine outscored Grant County 22-10 in the final quarter to earn a come-from-behind 51-41 victory over Grant County. There were 10 lead changes and four ties in the game. West Jessamine shot 37.8% from the field including two of 18 from the three point line. The Lady Colts connected on 15 of 26 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 20 Grant County turnovers. Grant County shot 32.6% from the field including five of 19 from beyond the arc. Franklin County coach Joey Thacker countered with 5-9 Sr. Madison Jackson, 5-8 Jr. Logan Kennedy, 6-1 Sr. Juliana Frazee, 5-4 So. Ma’Kiyia Wheeler, and 5-5 Sr, Charlize Kennedy.

Logan Kennedy hit a shot at the buzzer to give Franklin County a 51-49 victory in a hotly contested game over Frederick Douglass in an early season battle between 11^th Region powers. There were six ties and 11 lead changes in this game. Franklin County shot 35.8% from the field including four of 12 from the three point line. The Lady Flyers connected on nine of 19 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored nine points off 13 Frederick Douglass turnovers. Frederick Douglass shot 31.9% from the field including six of 19 from beyond the arc. The Lady Broncos connected on 13 of 21 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 17 Franklin County turnovers.

Madison Jackson led Franklin County with 15 points including two three point baskets and five rebounds. Juliana Frazee added 10 points, nine rebounds, and two assists. 5-10 7^th Grade Jylin Edmondson recorded nine points and two rebounds. Logan Kennedy chipped in with four points and eight rebounds. Ma’Kiyia Wheeler recorded four points, six rebounds, and six assists. 6-1 Sr. Keyonna Taylor added four points and 10 rebounds.

Jaelee Knowles led Frederick Douglass with 18 points, 12 rebounds, and six blocked shots. Tamia Waide added 11 points, two rebounds, and four steals. Kate Baker recorded nine points on three three point baskets and five rebounds. Mikalee Bennett chipped in with four points, five rebounds, and four assists.

Madison Central led Lexington Christian Academy 26-20 at halftime and pulled away in the final half to defeat the Lady Eagles by the score of 56-36. Madison Central shot 46.7% from the field including five of 13 from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on nine of 12 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 14 Lexington Christian Academy turnovers. Lexington Christian Academy shot 27.3% from the field including seven of 28 from beyond the arc. The Lady Eagles connected on five of nine free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored eight points off 11 Madison Central turnovers.

Nataya Strader led Madison Central with 19 points including three three point baskets, nine rebounds, and five steals. Cameryn Ridderikhoff added 12 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Jordynn Miles and 5-6 Sr. Tiana Long each scored eight points. Brittany Campbell recorded seven points, eight rebounds, and four assists.

Hazard rallied from a 29-22 halftime deficit, buoyed by a 26-6 run in the third quarter defeated Estill County by the score of 61-44. Hazard shot 42.5% from the field including seven of 17 from the three point line. The Lady Bulldogs connected on 20 of 30 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 12 Estill County turnovers. Estill County shot 27.5% from the field including five of 22 from beyond the arc. The Lady Engineers connected on 11 of 19 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 16 Hazard turnovers.

The Lady Generals connected on three of eight free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 19 Nicholas County trurnovers. Nicholas County shot 42.5% from the field including three of nine from beyond the arc. The Lady Jackets connected on seven of eight free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored four points off nine Lafayette turnovers.

Bryan Station raced out to a 32-21 first quarter lead on their way to an 83-63 victory over Madison Central. Bryan Station shot 53.8% from the field including eight of 18 from the three point line. The Defenders connected on five of 11 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 22 Madison Central turnovers. Madison Central shot 47.8% from the field including 10 of 20 from beyond the arc. The Indians connected on nine of 20 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored three points off three Bryan Station turnovers.

Amari Owens led Bryan Station with 30 points, five rebounds, five assists, and four steals. Rashaad Faulkner added 16 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, two assists, and four steals. Taeshawn Adams recorded 13 points and four rebounds.
